381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: POLONIEX Down Again!! on: August 05, 2017, 10:29:36 PM
Withdraw all of your coins asap. They have been down three times in the past three weeks.
Sorry, but I lost too much money getting scammed from exchanges and I do not trust them anymore.
If you withdraw your coins now you will thank me in the future.

Why don't you just buy and hold Bitcoin? The price is skyrocketing now.
385  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we push the actual use of Bitcoin ? on: August 05, 2017, 09:19:31 PM
First of all, if you are the first who discover the benefits and uses of bitcoin you are the one who need to learn and experience the hindrances of bitcoin. Some people did not agree if they have no proof so if you have lot of experience and you prove thay bitcoin is true and legit they will encourage to use the bitcoin. The uses of bitcoin have many ways, they need also to read and learn about the bitcoin before they go to the most deep usage of bitcoin. First you need to know the different usage and then learn steps by steps how to use and how to earn. Then get an experience to the one usage before you go to another. The more you have an information about bitcoin the more ways you can earn and also make a solution to the problems. The only you can help to know the true usage of bitcoin is your self.

"The only you can help to know the true usage of bitcoin is your self."

Even though this is true, it is important to remember most people do not discover Bitcoin by themselves. It is their friend or family or coworker who introduces them to it, then they teach them about it and some people do not care and others research for themselves and learn more about it and get involved in the community and start buying, trading, etc.

Personally, someone (my friend) told me about Bitcoin. Then I heard him talk all the time about it and finally I started to become interested, but I did not listen to him to buy some and now I would be a millionaire. :-/

386  Economy / Economics / Re: What percentage of people on Earth will own Bitcoin by 2020 on: August 05, 2017, 09:14:11 PM
I have been surveying about bitcoin during 2010 until now the Chinese population has been using bitcoin and reaching almost 15% of the population has been using bitcoin as a person-to-person for payment tool, they say "bitcoin will be the currency in modern times as it is now and bitcoin prices From year to year will increase until mining runs out "

When you say 15% of China is using Bitcoin right now, I am sorry but that is impossible. If so many people (200 million+) were using Bitcoin the price would already be $10,000.

I think a fair estimate is 5-10% of people will own Bitcoin, because still 99% of people don't know about it. IF so many people don't know about it, it will take a long time for them to learn how to use them... 2020 is only 2.5 years away so this is not a long enough time, sorry. But hopefully someday 15% of China will use Bitcoin. Wink
387  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why BTC price goes up dramatically? on: August 05, 2017, 09:03:12 PM
Most likely there were lots of potential investors around the world who were woried about August 1st, BIP 148, Bitcoin Cash, BTC-e, Poloniex, Alphabay... the list goes on. I think since most of this stuff is now resolved, people are more willing to invest hence why the price is skyrocketing right now. It is the only explanation.

Otherwise, it is possible some big billionaire whale decided to invest a fortune into Bitcoin in which case it could easily affect the global market. Considering the market cap is still only ~50,000,000,000 - a single multi-billionaire can influence the price by 2-3% easily.
388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Seed phrase same as secret key? on: August 05, 2017, 08:59:48 PM
Hello,
I successfully imported my wallet from blockchain.info to Electrum using the 12-word seed phrase provided by Blockchains online wallet.
I moved to Electrum to ensure I can get my BCC after 1th Aug.
Now my question is: do I need to do anything else to get the secret keys, or can I use my seed phrase to get my BCC? I can successfully send and receive coins with the seed phrase, so I would assume it is enough to access the secret keys also?
Thank you in advance  Smiley

You should always, always control your secret key. A seed is only meant to recover your Bitcoin in the case you forget your wallet password. If you have your secret key you can access your Bitcoin anytime, anywhere whereas the seed only works for the particular wallet client you are using. Makes sense?
389  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: motorcycle loans using bitcoin? on: August 05, 2017, 08:20:31 PM
is there a motorcycle dealer / leasing accept credit payments motor using bitcoin?

It sounds great,I would say a dream for every motorcyclist is to take a motorcycle, and it would be astounding to achieve this goal with such an "easy" way like bitcoins. If there is something indeed or something similar please inform  the people!!

Unfortunately I don't think this service exists. I have never even heard of such a thing being popular with normal fiat so it is unlikely that it will happen with Bitcoin anytime soon.

Why not start one yourself? Make a website to lease/loan motorcycles for Bitcoin in your city and advertise it (local classifieds, newspaper, radio, etc.). This is a great way to spread the knowledge of Bitcoin also!
390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum best for investment? on: August 05, 2017, 07:33:42 PM
Ethereum is the 2nd best coin to invest in.

Other than Bitcoin, Ethereum offers a platform where anyone can create a token to sell or use for their service/business. Many businesses are already doing this in the form of "Initial Coin Offerings" or "ICO" where they sell their token to people who are interested in the service they are providing.

For example, a recent ICO was for STOX (https://stox.com). They are a sports gambling site/business intending to use these tokens as a means of betting on sports games/events and other things.
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your biggest regrets in cryptocurrency? on: August 05, 2017, 07:28:10 PM
My biggest regret in cryptocurrency is not buying Bitcoin when I first found out about it in 2013 when it was just $15 each. I could have bought 200 or more and now been almost a millionaire, but instead I am still poor.

I made other mistakes like deposit onto exchanges and then they closed. So I lost all of my money, unfortunately. And that happened a few times... too many scammers out there.  Undecided

Hopefully someday I will be able to afford a few Bitcoins so that when it reaches $1,000,000 I will still be rich. Smiley
392  Economy / Economics / Re: The dream of getting rich with bitcoins on: August 05, 2017, 07:25:31 PM
I started Bitcoin in 2013 and still not rich. I made lots of mistakes or I would be rich now for sure. If I just trusted my instincet and bought them at the price of $15 I would be a millionaire now.

I would be a "Bitcoin Millionaire", but instead I am still very poor and jobless. Oh well...
393  Economy / Economics / Re: BCH launch shows us how irrelevant marketcap can be on: August 05, 2017, 07:24:07 PM
The only reason Bitcoin cash is avoiding a pump dump on it's value is it's slow and unstable network once it stabilize and exchanges started accepting deposits of BCC/BCH whatever you want to call it, you'll see a big price fluctuation as users can already exchange it for bitcoin. The reason why it had a big price after the fork because users was unable to exchange it but some of them found a way to sell it that's why the price continued to decrease in passing days sooner or later it may reach it's all time low in just a week or even days.

That's what I also think about it sir. Some exchanges are still not accepting it. Some are even having problems with sell orders. Maybe they are still fixing stuff to allow them to accept bch. I think people would just dump these once it becomes easy to do though. It's basically free cash from your btc...

It will continue falling for sure. 99% of altcoins end up dying and Bitcoin Cash is no different. I give it a year and it will be dead. Split your coins and dump now or you will cry later. Grin

I don't even know if it is possible to split mine now because they were on an exchange and I forgot to move them to my own wallet so I think I am screwed...
394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi Nakamoto is dead! on: August 04, 2017, 07:42:09 PM
Are you done taking your medicine? Did you skip your monthly check up in the mental hospital? I'm surprised that even in the Mental Hospital, they know about Bitcoin and Satoshi Nakamoto. Lol. I can't believe I wasted my time reading this and now I'm putting a reply. I hope this will be the last. Lol.

This dude got some serious issues. Has a dream and comes and posts it here trying to convince us it is some vision. Not to mention the entire post literally makes no sense.

I guess we should give him credit for spelling though... he seems to be good at that. Grin
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is it possible that bitcoin cash can surpass the value of bitcoin? on: August 04, 2017, 05:07:12 PM
Like someone has already said to you, it's your money and you can do whatever you want with it. But to my personal opinion this wouldn't be a good investment because it can't be better than Bitcoin. Even if it seams that bitcoin cash has some good value this will not last and the acceptance will be very low, can't compare with Bitcoin in any way. I wouldn't choose that.

"It can't be better than Bitcoin"

Actually it could. But the chances are miniscule.

Chances are it continues falling until it dies, like most other altcoins. Especially given the incentive of 99% of BCH recipients is to dump anyway. When you give free coins to people who never wanted them in the first place and can dump them for free money, don't expect the price to go up. lol
396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: OH, ahhh!! Now I understand why Bitcoin Cash is called Cash...! on: August 04, 2017, 05:03:11 PM
I did not even think of this, but it is likely what happened. The devs got their Bitcoin Cash before everyone else and put their coin back on exchanges when others could not. Yet another major scam in the crypto world... not surprised.
397  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 7 years ago... you could have earned almost $15,000 at today's value in 3 sec... on: August 04, 2017, 07:32:51 AM
There are 3 types of people who heard of bitcoin in the past:

1) The people who see bitcoin as a pump&dump scam which can collapse at anytime. While i agree with the p&d part, they are wrong on the scam part. If bitcoin was scam, it could have dropped to zero and never revived from there. Some of those people also think they lost the bitcoin train so they take their chances with alts. Understandable.

2) Those who know what bitcoin is and how it works. They spent considerable amount of time in the world of crypto yet they still have suspicions because of the volatility. They experienced gox crash, they suffered the loss from 1k$ to 200$ for years. Some of them lost their faith and dumped their stash for cheap and never looked back. I was one of those guys.

3) This is the real community which is formed by real hardcore bitcoiners. Those people never sell a satoshi. They buy bitcoins regularly every month and if the price makes a nose dive, they buy more than planned. They realized the potential long ago. The day when Gox was crashed, while everybody was bleeding like pigs and running around like headless chickens; those people were laughing. They pray for a crash. They don't pray for a price rise. Because they know the prices will rise eventually. What is unexpected for them is a price drop. Now i am one those.
Nicely put! I think I was 1 and am now becoming 3.

I don't understand how Bitcoin could have been seen as a "pump and dump" seeing as it was the first coin ever made... so that would not have even been a thing. Furthermore, it took years to get to where we are now with hundreds of cryptos out there. Back then there were only a handful of relevant altcoins. I could agree that many people thought BTC would fail and still do to this day.
398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if someone sends Bitcoin Cash to a Bitcoin address? on: August 04, 2017, 07:11:18 AM
Why don't you just be diligent and make sure to sen to the right address? Smiley

Serious though... this is a great question. No one so far has given a clear answer as to what will happen. I am very curious to know.
399  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Don't invest more than you can afford to lose on: August 03, 2017, 11:36:21 PM
I believe in this quote and someone once said this to me as well, and I applied this in my everyday routine on not to invest more than you can afford to lose. It is the same with gambling or in trading bitcoin since it is very risky, to not spend more than what you earn. Because remember when you trade or especially if you gamble, once you lay off your money it is considered as nothing already so you have to be ready when you spend it or use it for trading.

Well, i am doing trading with bitcoin and you know i never get anything lose even i am always in a profit.
But only with bitcoin, and i also doing altcoin trading, but in other crypto i get lose.
But also i remember that don't invest more than you can afford to lose.
Although lose is mustily but we can adjust it into less lose.

How much are you trading?

I had lots of funds on BTC-e and lost it all when the government stopped them. I hope to get it back soon.
400  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much did you dump your BCC for? And when is the next hard fork coming? :D on: August 03, 2017, 10:32:02 PM
Next fork is when? And would be great if its well planned so we have better options to dump the coins.

Unfortunately, we were late to withdraw out Bitcoin from the exchange it is on and therefore lost our opportunity to get some free money. Oh well, perhaps next time... Tongue
