thinking about it, what about a futures market for dvc? the system is basically predestined for it because somebody knows for sure he/she will get paid in a months time but maybe needs money today. buyers of a long futures contract wouldn't even have to trust the other party because they can look it up when and how much they will receive. also i guess it would bring certainty/stability to the price

it's funny how people think that bitcoin is independent from banks. why do you think banks won't use bitcoins if it gets really popular?

it's funny how there seems to be a consensus among a lot of bitcoin supporters that there will be no banks or fi's involved in bitcoin. i wonder what this is based on, to me it is really just a kind of cash which isn't very comfortable to use when it comes to large or fast transactions. i believe that if bitcoin succeeds there will have to be banks accepting and trading with it. what do you think?

i think it's not so much about "deflationary spiral" as it is about the simple fact that there is going to be significantly less investment in a deflationary economy. every project would have to have an enormous return on investment in order to be feasible
