Ayayay, too late. We had some crazy thunderstorm shaking on our roof, was a little distracted, all passed now Congrats to the new owner. I'm sure this is gonna be a super unique collectible for a lifetime.

so here's an idea: I have an idea for an NFT collection for true Bitcoin believers. To get one of these NFTs, you need to prove that you have been keeping 1000 BTC in your wallet for the last 6 months. This will be verified by you signing a message with your private key and sending it to a smart contract.
Why would someone buy this? People who see your NFT will know that you're hodling a lot of Bitcoins. You get access to a community of other whales.
So what does everyone think? Is it a dumb idea or should we make it happen?
If for some insane reason you want to show off your (currently) $30000000 USD, just post your signed message of your wallet address holding said 1k BTC. No need to wrap that into an NFT or some other bullshit-token. Is it a dumb idea
Yes, it is. +1 Prove of funds can indeed make some sort of sense for an institution or maybe an individual in certain business related cases to prove liquidity. But again, this step to the Ethereum network is just 100% redundant.

Getting officially licensed is, on the one hand, always a good step - it means there is some clarity in regards of legislation for crypto. On the other hand I wish there was a way to make more people aware of DEX alternatives. Right now I think there is a lack of knowledge regarding the fact that there are independent solutions that don't need another centralized middleman.
That said, this license will provide at least some sort of security for customers having funds on mercado exchange. I'd still strongly advice against keeping any assets on any kind of exchange for longer than what's needed to make a trade.

Rare piece of Bitcoin history. Personally I prefere to see the hologram as intact as possible even on peeled items. Any plans on going on auction with this one? Watching...

Thanks again for a free raffle. Never had any of those cards in my hand - how do you even weigh 1/1000 oz of gold, lol? Great to see such a variety of free raffle prizes, keep it up.

Thanks for the info, ChiBi. Sucks to hear it but the more people know about it the better. If LC and you confirm this incident Sol Noctis coins can be considered compromised indeed. - For that reason would appreciate if you can check the story and report back here then. In any case, enjoy a great Sunday evening!

Let's see where this goes. Yes, exciting on the one hand, on the other hand if it really does get approved it is just another brick in the massive building that defines Bitcoin's future. Suprised they would mess up such a tiny detail on their first submission, but oh well, not much harm done I guess (except for some funds burned in the process).

It was developed by new modern technology thinkers with P2P clue,
Point of correction, we do not know if Satoshi Nakamoto is a man, woman or a group which is the main point that people needs to let others know, but according to what you said in your post, it will make people to be confused that bitcoin was created by a group of people which means Satoshi is known or known to be a group. No one knows who Satoshi is. [...] That is correct. However we can read every post Satoshi made on the topic of Bitcoin. Actually it's all archived in this forum! Check this profile to read up on it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3@OP, your post seems kinda random. If you want a deep dive into Bitcoin history, just check Satoshis profile I have linked to above and read some of his posts. Have fun.

Is this a well known Bitcoin-collectible newspaper? Not familiar with it, can you elaborate a little bit because I cannot read the date of release on the photo you posted. Thank you. Did you intend for this raffel to have only 12 instead of the usual 16 slots (HEX)?

Just jumping in real quick, recently got my hands on my purchased coins - these are great looking ones. Especially the side with the hologram is of my taste. And the finish is almost mirror-ish.
For anyone looking for an affordable funded Bitcoin collectible: These coins are probably some of the most inexpensive ones out there and of great quality.
Get them now, not much you can do wrong for 30 bucks here. Just noticed they are sold out but OP not updated yet!

Thank you for the detailed explanations. That's exactly what I was hoping to hear regarding key generation and the key-prints.
10k sats is insanely low (just checked, $3 at the moment of writing if I got all the zeros right in my calculations) but it still is *some* reasonable value. And I exactly love the idea you also described: to stack them for 5 or better 10+ years because of this. That's why good quality keys are even more important.
Please put me on the list for one roll/bag of 10 for now. I am not US based, so would ask to ship to MJ - can I choose a state marking? Maybe of one of the US states I already visited on vacation that I loved. Or does it have to be MJs location's state?

Any estimate on what you want to charge for these?
I saw the pics first and thought "oh nice, some cute silver bars incoming". Just now, a few hours later I took a closer look. ONE GRAM?!?! - Haha, that's just awesome, crazy and cute at the same time. If affordable, please count me in for a bunch (bars and coins).
Will they get a running serial - any idea on what the mintage is gonna be?

32 ETH was already quite the chunck - at the time much more than what was required to get into Bitcoin mining. This 64x proposal is just disgusting. Even the thought of it. It clearly brings EXTREME centralisation issues, every staking node would cost millions. And only the really rich can get richer and more powerful. - The opposite of a true cryptocurrency. Ethereum is clearly moving into a terrible direction. The POS experiment may be interesting, but I'm just glad it happened on another huge chain that's not Bitcoin.

I don't see why the number generated would be more likely to be cracked when the seed phrase has the same chance of being guessed. Because the number is being generated by different processes using different entropy sources. If your entropy source is poor, then your number won't be completely random. If I put the seed phrase in any other wallet, it will generate the exact same addresses in the same order with the same private keys. This is a completely separate (and completely trivial) function to generating the seed phrase in the first place. I don't understand why you are arguing about this, especially when it is clear you do not understand the basics. Javascript key generators are insecure. There are plenty of easy to use alternatives already suggested. Electrum, for example, is already bundled with Tails, so is trivial to use since you are planning to use Tails anyway. As I said above, you seem very keen to use an insecure javascript generator and there is nothing we can do to stop you, other than warn you of the risk. That's interesting, so is this the issue with javascript based key generators: They use a library which does not generate sufficient entropy to have good enough randomness? Or are are there other concerns regarding JS? Shouldn't there be a selection of RNGs available for javascript by now? Just wondering, seems a little odd to have such a massively used language without providing a secure RNG solution.

Nette Geschichte.
Bzgl. Mining in New York.

Pretty cool. Looks like fun and I like the idea of an affordable low denomination coin. I probably wanna reserve one roll. Any estimate which mintage range you are aiming for?
And a follow up question, how are you handling priv-key generation and what material is used for printing and paper?
