381  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [SALE] 1HoDLCLUB x Silk Road 2.1mBTC Fine Silver 999.9 Square ingot on: July 14, 2023, 02:19:43 PM
Website looks great - clearly prefer this one over the previous desing, well done.

Anyone on the fence of getting the 1 Euro coin mockup - do it! It's a perfectly finished (gilted) silver coin, and mega fun to anyone that is in daily contact with the Euro money.
382  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [SALE]Balletcrypto "Polygon (matic) Gift Cards" - 49 available on: July 13, 2023, 06:15:39 PM
Does these card support polygon chain?

as far as I understand it, it is just Polygon (matic) that is supported by Ballet.
Great, this release just made MATIC go PUMP! https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/polygon/
Just kidden, but good timing.  Wink

Thinking of getting. - Are these indeed a limited edition or what does 44 available mean exactly?
383  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [SALE] LuckyFool / Caribbean Treasures MicroBits 999 Silver BTC Wallets!!!! on: July 13, 2023, 06:12:11 PM

Can't wait to see these bars IRL. I probably want some of the luckyfool coins, too. Will shoot you a pm soon.

Great work guys and very cool colaboration. GG!
384  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is it Advisable joining Bitcoin signal group? on: July 13, 2023, 02:19:41 PM
No free lunch theorem. There is no free lunch, remember that and you will figure out facts behind free signal groups.

They do not charge you any joining fee initially but they will steal your money by giving you some signals and make you excited, greedy to buy up tokens for them to take profit.

Paid groups can be scam too. They can be other versions of free signal groups but try to double scam you with joining fee. Very few paid signal groups are legit and good but you must pay ridiculous expensive joining fee. I am sure you will not be able to join those groups if you are not rich and have big capital.

You can use your money to buy a membership from on-chain metrics websites like Glassnode https://studio.glassnode.com/pricing

Glassnode Insights has weekly free reports to read https://insights.glassnode.com/
<- What he said. Everything you need to know.

If you like the thrill of "investing at the right time" you can also support your local fortune teller instead.
I am talking about Bitcoin signals. Unless the group is connected with mega-whales (very very very unlikely), they will not have an effect on the market price.

If they are giving signals for shitcoins/tokens, yes, they might "predict" some mega jumps/pumps correctly. The reason being, these markets can be easily manipulated with small amounts of funds. That does not mean it will be a profitable endeavour for you, though. The only ones profiting from the pump will be the owners of such a group, the signal makers.

Just stay away from this type of stupid scam-game and HODL.
385  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: breaking the satoshi's on: July 13, 2023, 11:47:29 AM
just assume,

if the bitcoin price rose very much that one satoshi's price became $1 and a person need to send $0.50 to another person,

how would he send half of satoshi?

is it possible to break satoshi in parts or any other solution?

it's just an assumption so don't reply me with hate and don't tell me that at that time the $1 will worth 0.01 cents. my question is that is it possible to send half satoshi?

As already pointed out, it is very unlikely this will be relevant in the foreseeable future. Even if, there are possible solutions, either via L2 chains or by a fork that could most llikely find a massive majority (consensus) if the need is really there.
However, one thing to keep in mind: $Cents today are mostly used in theory/on paper. It's easy to keep track off-chain of these tiny amounts when making a purchase and if the Bitcoin protocol would indeed not allow amounts to be sent that are below $1, it's very likely vendors would just round down prices at the exit point of their shop system for customers. These tiny amounts are just not really relevant in real-life business is what I am saying.

tldr: Many solutions available for a "problem" that still is on a long way to actually become a problem.
386  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [auction] clay cast vintage silver poured bar funded btc 5/10 on: July 13, 2023, 11:30:55 AM
Hey dozers. Very interesting bar. Not really familiar with clay cast's products, so I tried to look it up.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5222206 - Were only 5 bars actually produced or are the other 5 bars sold unfunded? I wonder, because the weight is missing for #6 to #10, so probably there are only 5 of this run of bars in existence?
387  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Future LuckyFool “Small Batch / Special Reserve” 999 Silver BTC release on: July 13, 2023, 11:22:58 AM
If still a spot available, put me on the list please.
Cool project, we need more high quality silver bars. And with freestyled unique artworks, that is something!

Any eta on loading amount?
388  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] LEALANA Monero Brass Coin (5 MONERO) on: July 12, 2023, 09:48:05 AM
Good question. In a recent auction by agrawas it went for 0.0013. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5458904.20
That said, recent forum auction prices have been on an all time low. I belive 0.0013 is very unvalued.
Several possible reasons. World wide recession and inflation, not many active forum members, Bitcoin surfing along without much bull attention. So my guess is prices will be much higher (soon?) again.
389  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION ENDS TODAY] 🔑 PLAYTOSHI BALLET (LOADED) - Bitcoin TOY Nº16 🔑 on: July 11, 2023, 11:13:50 PM
Ayayay, too late. We had some crazy thunderstorm shaking on our roof, was a little distracted, all passed now
Congrats to the new owner.
I'm sure this is gonna be a super unique collectible for a lifetime.

Nice coin. One thing to note, it's the DIY coin that smoothie was giving away in 2017. GL with the auction, but I doubt you have a realistic idea with your starting bid.
As a kind of new account I'd also suggest you offer the option to use a trusted escrow.
391  Economy / Collectibles / Re: WTS- CryptoImperator Lot of Coins (some rarities) on: July 11, 2023, 04:42:59 PM
Nice CI collection here.

Seek4er did a great job with providing info on these rarities.

The Factom coin was sold via exclusively via twitter if I remember correctly. Cannot find any posts about it though.
It is also briefly mentioned in the official CI info thread here (page 2) https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1539742.0
Maybe snarfbag has more info on it.

393  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: NFT Idea: Prove Funds to Mint on: July 10, 2023, 02:19:45 PM
so here's an idea:
I have an idea for an NFT collection for true Bitcoin believers.
To get one of these NFTs, you need to prove that you have been keeping 1000 BTC in your wallet for the last 6 months.
This will be verified by you signing a message with your private key and sending it to a smart contract.

Why would someone buy this?
People who see your NFT will know that you're hodling a lot of Bitcoins.
You get access to a community of other whales.

So what does everyone think? Is it a dumb idea or should we make it happen?

If for some insane reason you want to show off your (currently) $30000000 USD, just post your signed message of your wallet address holding said 1k BTC. No need to wrap that into an NFT or some other bullshit-token.

+1

Prove of funds can indeed make some sort of sense for an institution or maybe an individual in certain business related cases to prove liquidity. But again, this step to the Ethereum network is just 100% redundant.
394  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2023-06-02] Mercado Bitcoin, Brazil's Largest Crypto Exchange, Receives License on: July 10, 2023, 02:14:30 PM
Getting officially licensed is, on the one hand, always a good step - it means there is some clarity in regards of legislation for crypto.
On the other hand I wish there was a way to make more people aware of DEX alternatives. Right now I think there is a lack of knowledge regarding the fact that there are independent solutions that don't need another centralized middleman.

That said, this license will provide at least some sort of security for customers having funds on mercado exchange. I'd still strongly advice against keeping any assets on any kind of exchange for longer than what's needed to make a trade.
395  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Topic for discussion - 5BTC HOLO 2012 - Unloaded on: July 10, 2023, 02:06:04 PM
Rare piece of Bitcoin history. Personally I prefere to see the hologram as intact as possible even on peeled items.
Any plans on going on auction with this one? Watching...
396  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [FREE RAFFLE] 519th ฿ECAUSE I AM STILL IN A GOOD MOOD-NEVADA GOLDBACK on: July 10, 2023, 02:03:56 PM
33 - Kryptowerk

Thanks again for a free raffle. Never had any of those cards in my hand - how do you even weigh 1/1000 oz of gold, lol?
Great to see such a variety of free raffle prizes, keep it up.

Cloud flare double post, will delete after 24h.
398  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [WARNING] Sol Noctis Bull Coin Keys Compromised / Scam on: July 09, 2023, 04:12:47 PM
Thanks for the info, ChiBi.
Sucks to hear it but the more people know about it the better. If LC and you confirm this incident Sol Noctis coins can be considered compromised indeed. - For that reason would appreciate if you can check the story and report back here then.
In any case, enjoy a great Sunday evening!
399  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2023-06-30] Barrons: Bitcoin Drops After Report SEC Says BlackRock Spot Bitcoin on: July 08, 2023, 06:08:31 PM
Looks like the reports of the reason for rejection being trivial are right, as BlackRock has already re-filed their application as reported by CNBC (video):
https://www.cnbc.com/video/2023/07/05/blackrock-refiles-spot-bitcoin-etf-binance-us-market-share-crypto-world.html
I hear almost 100% of their past ETF application received approval, so things are looking quite good. Lets see how will this one pan out.
Let's see where this goes. Yes, exciting on the one hand, on the other hand if it really does get approved it is just another brick in the massive building that defines Bitcoin's future.
Suprised they would mess up such a tiny detail on their first submission, but oh well, not much harm done I guess (except for some funds burned in the process).
400  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin history on: July 08, 2023, 05:49:26 PM
It was developed by new modern technology thinkers with P2P clue,
Point of correction, we do not know if Satoshi Nakamoto is a man, woman or a group which is the main point that people needs to let others know, but according to what you said in your post, it will make people to be confused that bitcoin was created by a group of people which means Satoshi is known or known to be a group. No one knows who Satoshi is.

[...]

That is correct. However we can read every post Satoshi made on the topic of Bitcoin. Actually it's all archived in this forum!
Check this profile to read up on it: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=3

@OP, your post seems kinda random. If you want a deep dive into Bitcoin history, just check Satoshis profile I have linked to above and read some of his posts. Have fun.
