381  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: CryptoKingdom Uncensored on: April 10, 2018, 11:44:03 PM
If somebody tries to implement what you say above I will wish them well and will follow with interest. At the moment the only people attempting anything at all in the CK world are Loaf and his dev team, with great input from syksy, and I'm going to support that effort because there isn't any other option to support. I could say I agree with your opinion in principle, but unless someone is trying to make it happen, there's nothing to support in a practical sense. I don't see this as an either/or situation, I believe what Loaf is trying to do will become an obvious fork eventually, and legacy CK will still be there at the end exactly as it is now, and Loaf's version will be a new game with different game design and economic engine.

The question isn't why someone else doesn't do this but why CrazyLoaf won't.

If you're criticizing a new coin, no one is going to say

Why don't you make a different coin?

So why are you saying that?

If there's something wrong, something IS wrong.

CrazyLoaf is starting a new project with an Airdrop to to CK players as part of the initial emission of game currency, he's free to attempt anything he wants, nobody can force him to do anything, and he can't force anybody to participate. The simple answer to your question is 'loaf doesn't want to bother with depot mess', he's explained his thinking many times.

Maybe the question is why others expect him to do what they want, but aren't doing themselves, including me who is just watching and doing nothing.
382  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BYTEBALL: Totally new consensus algorithm + private untraceable payments on: April 10, 2018, 11:36:29 PM
Tonych, what about the possible BOINC project for Byteball? No decision or action yet for that? I'm still looking forward to contribute some computing power for any decent research.

There will be a distribution to World Community Grid contributors soon.
I'm currently developing the bot that will link Byteball addresses to WCG accounts.

Awesome!

 Cheesy  Cheesy  Cheesy

What is the start date for wcg program, if we start boinc now will those points get counted towards byteball distribution?

I think this wcg program could really go viral, most people using boinc would have heard about Bitcoin now, and when the advantages of byteball are explained things could explode.

where did the volume go? Is barterdex down or has it been down?  the 24 hour volume is basically nothing.

Volume is coming, better to have the platform working well before the users start arriving en mass, which I expect will start happening later in Q3. I have not been trading for 6 months now, too much regulatory risk now, not worth exposing yourself to gangsters with kyc data leaks, and I think many early crypto users are doing the same, sitting on the sidelines, waiting for optimised p2p platforms.
384  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Crypto Bullion (CBX) >>> rebranding to "bullion" | 2018 Roadmap published on: April 10, 2018, 11:26:20 PM
Elambert has talked about using 5 BPNs to fund new listings which I am for up until things get going more.

The Devs are very active and helpful on telegram and bitcointalk. Have been sticking with it since 2013 as well.

The community just needs to help get behind this coin more as well as others have stated. I need to as well! I believe we are heading in the right direction on that front.

I like the properties of 2% inflation 3-6% for POSP and BPNs(Masternodes) get 9-18%. I like where everything is heading. The new Vault that will have BPNs sounds to be testing well and coming soon.

The fact that they are joining up with coinbook as well seems very intriguing to me and am for it.

I believe they are working on a new website as well(non Kodak photos I believe are coming as well 😉 of the devs)

I'm putting my money where my belief is and buying up right now because I will regret waiting.

I will put together more of my thoughts in the afternoon as well after I get back from the dentist

Cheers have a great day Bullionaires

I agree 100%, the community needs to get behind the devs and support CBX as much as possible, which I think will happen when coinbook exchange starts. There's a sea change coming in crypto markets now as institutional money has more entry points into crypto assets that meets traditional legacy finance standards. So many potential buyers can't really access the crypto market legally now, but soon this will change, and CBX will shine brightly as a great investment to these new players.

Long live TALK !!

says one says all!!

The easiest most obvious case use is being the central hub for this here forum website.

Guys/gals doing good stuff here can earn tips, at least from me, if not others too.

Yes, becoming a forum tipping coin can keep TALK alive , is there a signature for TALK,  I would support this coin above 90% of other coins, there was no scam with this distribution, just grass roots early crypto adopters from 2014.

Long live TALK!

Hi foxkyu,

Dcrstats Evolution has been shutdown, last live tickets still voting though.
Don't worry, of course your funds are safe. If you have any problems with withdrawals, we will solve it.
Please contact directly via official email: info@dcrstats.com

Is there a tutorial on buying tickets for refugees from dcr evolution? It was such a great service, so thanks for the time it was up, I'd love to keep staking but do I need my PC on 24/7, or can I buy tickets and then leave my wallet offline.
387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Bitmark on: April 10, 2018, 11:13:22 PM
Bitmark (MARKS) is now available on Cryptopia for trading. The following trade pairs are currently available MARKS/BTC, MARKS/LTC & MARKS/DOGE. You can start depositing and trading MARKS from today.
Happy trading!

Congratulations to bitmark devs and community, I honestly did not believe this day would come. It would be great to see bitmark devs give an update on what they're planning from here, how will marking be implemented outside of crypto users, are there plans to setup some use cases in other areas that have some ground work already in progress.
388  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: VERITASEUM DISCUSSION THREAD on: April 10, 2018, 11:06:41 PM
From Reggie Middleton today,

I'm in S. Africa, lobbying hard to create a pan African move into the P2P economy thru Chamber of Commerce via director of international trade. I ran into old readers of BoomBustBlog here :-) I'm staying at the Michealango hotel, & welcome one and all to come for a meet & greet.

South Africa is a great target market for veretaseum, they have many entrepreneurs there who are open minded to new technology and aren't locked into traditional power structures of most legacy finance, plus there is democracy and relatively stable institutions and infrastructure.
389  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ENRG]Energycoin with EnergyParty webwallet @ www.EnergyExchange.eu on: April 10, 2018, 11:01:05 PM
Hello guys!

I appeal to you as to the holders of the token ENRG
I suggest that you ask the developer to add your token to the Ethereum Anonymizer (SATOSHI WALLET) list.
This service will allow you to anonymously transfer your token from the holder to the holder.

They have a good affiliate program. Now comes the pre-sale.
This is my invitation code for the investor 0xeB60289fea2F4B7a25B848Fd6F0692B60848Ff1f
The investor on the pre-sale receives 50% of bonuses, + up to 20% for using the invitation code)))

On my mailbox I have a 'please no advertising material' sticker, such a shame you can't put one on a btt thread. Why do you post pointless spam message with your referral code everywhere bro, it clogs up the forum like a big poo in the toilet!
390  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [XEL] :: Elastic - The Decentralized Supercomputer :: on: April 10, 2018, 10:56:14 PM
don't worry about price, really.
This is how crypto works.
We don't have to worry if the price is low. Crypto world is fast, but not so fast.

This is not a good time for crypto's price (but only for price!!). Maybe we have to wait next year...but this project is really great. We don't have to worry

Only gamblers need to constantly win to reinforce their habit, if you're the type of person who enjoys researching crypto projects and looking for the hidden gems, then short term price action is completely irrelevant.

XEL has awesome dev team, and really great use cases, so it's great to follow.
391  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] YOURCHAIN - Let's Make Crypto YOURS Again! on: April 10, 2018, 10:48:28 PM
Why is everyone so mad at the dev and the project?
We got tons of tokens for free and no one had to invest. I really don't know what to think about the progress, but it was free coins and there is a little chance for huge potential. So be silent, patient and grateful maybe?
If nothing happens with the project you didn't lose shit.

And if you bought some more and say "all that happens here is trump memes"
They have been here from the beginning. Soooo... maybe you should have considered that when you bought.

Just wait for dev to deliver, stay positive
that is the spirit , i am also one off them who bought a lot because you never know , but hey that was my own choice , from now on let's be patient and wait for the delivery , if that will ever happen

Oh boy, you got a lot of spare BTC to throw a high-risk buy. So far everyday the confidence for this project is waning and soon the inevitable demise of an idea that still has to be fleshed out. LOL, all too common here in Bitcointalk.

Losing money to scammers really pisses me off, but waisting my time on a crazy guys performance art comedy, and social experiment ... that's different. The dev here is laughing at you guys , he's getting off on how smart he is to string gullible people along, safe in the knowledge he didn't scam anyone because he didn't accept any money. If you don't mind being laughed at as long as you don't buy this token then let the memes continue forever.
392  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Bittrex - Next generation exchange (btc/ltc/eac/ppc/rdd/ftc/and more) on: April 10, 2018, 10:42:51 PM
Is Bittrex down for anyone else or is it just me currently? It always makes me so nervous when exchanges just go down..

Edit: Only had the problem for 10 or so minutes, seems to be fine now.

they will be going offline soon they have stolen/locked legit users accounts ~ early adopters who supported them from the beginning. :\ i hope U.S. authorities act before more people lose there bitcoins....zzz  Roll Eyes   ~ they definitely cannot be trusted with peoples' personal information.

Bittrex has been captured by TPTB, they're not usable as an exchange for regular crypto people now, they've shown their true colours enough for me on many occaisions,  do not trust bittrex, they steal user money.

Willing to sell 5 million qora for 0.1 btc, pm me if interested

ready to buy 5 million qora for 0.1 btc!

Wow, that looks like a bargain to me, well done arknet if you get that price. I'm looking to buy some qora too, but not keen on OTC myself, so will wait for an exchange listing.

I'd give my right arm to have qora trading on BarterDEX

Hi everyone,

I would like to take over and develop the FUNK Coin.
According to a post by shavers (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=469407.1820) i should contact Simondlr, but i get error message while i try
to send PM :-(
"User 'simondlr' has not chosen to allow messages from newbies. You should post in their relevant thread to remind them to enable this setting."

@Simondlr: Would you give the FUNK Coin to me?

Thanks & best regards
ZeroCool

Why not fork FUNK, then you don't need anyone's permission and you can do what you want?

Are you interested just in the coin, or the music too? I can't see the point of FUNK without the music.

I guess anyone can create a fork of any coin!!!! Why one needs permission?

Moreover, ppl like these airdrops, see ZCL case when they created BTCP!!!!

If there is a developer team anyone can do that!!!! But without active devs noting happens!!!!

The most valuable thing about FUNK atm is the Cryptopia listing. That's 5 BTC's worth. Anyone considering to fork/swap would probably need their support, because if they keep the old chain on Cryptopia, I'm guessing that will remain more popular because it has the best exchange.

Good point, having an exchange listing in this era of kyc for dev teams is a definite advantage. I hope someine keeps the FUNK alive, but the whole point was the music, and unless that continues then it's really all about, 'keeping the speculation alive', which isn't going to get George Clinton or Bootsy Collins excited.
395  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA on: April 08, 2018, 09:17:59 PM
It went up to $7 and now available at less than a dollar. Anyone here who bought above $6? - I'm not sure how long these guys need to wait to recover back their losses.

I had invested on this before it was listed on exchanges so I'm still at a good profit but didn't book profit when it was over $6. Like many others, I missed that chance to make some money.

The spikes never went above 6 USD on any major exchanges at that time. ATH was something around 5.8USD.

I am in IOTA for the long run. Been in for quite a while, so I am currently still in a major profit zone. Still think we will go above last years ATH in means of IOT/BTC this year. Expecting it to be sometime late April to late May.

If you price things in fiat you will soon go mad in the crypto world, too many large swings that will give you brain damage from whiplash. We need to price things in crypto, so against btc. That is the only thing that makes sense. I know Lambos aren't sold in bitcoin, but one day they will.

In bitcoin terms IOTA is doing pretty good, no crisis I can see.
396  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: April 06, 2018, 11:11:22 PM
NEM is still here, though. I just wished I'd picked up two or three instead of one. But back then $30 was what I could afford to lose.
I regret not reserving a stake for a friend or a relative too. Actually at that time there was no point in doing that because they were planning to make a NXT clone, and nobody could expect the final result we are seeing now. Still no news on the silver coins, or they have already abandoned the idea?
What's the silver coin idea?

itīs coming up every few pages. The initial stakeholder should receive some kind of silver coin from the unclaimed stake fund. But the team just got other things going on

The silvercoin fund dates back to 2014 afaik, that's back in the crypto Jurassic period with the dinosaurs,  use the funds to support the security of the network, top up the SN program.
397  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA is the next big thing on: April 05, 2018, 12:11:03 AM
IOTA is considered a lucky coin
but now im quite worried
its been red and negative all round https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/iota

All coins are flying on the same plane and Bitcoin sentiment is, unfortunately, at the controls. As altitude gets lower I expect some good projects will decouple from btc and then parachute safely to land, and then the quality ones will fly off on their own. Good news for quality coins like IOTA, but to fly off without being held down by bitcoin requires hitting the ground first, and a parachute will avoid getting splatted. Iota has a parachute, but most cryptos don't. Stay calm bro, brace for impact, head down, start sniffing your balls!
398  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: April 04, 2018, 11:58:47 PM

changing anything in SN setup should be avoided

people did invest and build SN by knowing all the rulesets
u dont change rulesets that where the base of investment decisions

any SN owner know how long it run

I agree changing SN rules after investors have already made life changing investment decisions is NOT a good idea, however, what I am suggesting is:

- respect the existing SN rules until they expire (approx 2 years I think)
- top up the SN funds from other sources like silvercoin fund, and maybe some marketing accounts
- use the topped up funds to extend the SN bounty, BUT, start tapering the reward, maybe change the lockup amount

Why do this? Because under the current rules I estimate the SN bounty will abruptly end in just under 2 years, and when it does that could precipitate a crisis where:
- there is a massive liquidation of SN locked up funds at the same time
- the number of nodes drops drastically and the network becomes unstable

Those two combined could be a coin killing event, so I'd like to see something planned ahead of time, but yes, I don't think changing the rules is cool, that's why I'm advocating extending the whole SN program with new funds, and then adding a gradual and graceful transition to lower SN rewards.
399  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NEM (XEM) Official Thread - 100% New Code - Easy To Use APIs on: April 04, 2018, 12:33:56 PM
the best thing for the network would be to reduce the SN requirement to 1.000.000 coins and increase the hardware requirement  for the single nodes.

to have like 1000+  very strong SN

Changing the SN lockup amount is another variable to play with for sure, but if you drop the SN amount too low the reward per SN will fall as the number of SN's increases. If the SN lockup is too low the result could be the opposite of what you expect, the reward for locking up XEM could become too small, and some SN operators decide the reward isn't enough anymore, and they sell, so you end up with about the same number of SN we have now. It's a balancing act! Guys locking up 3M XEM might just sell 1M or 2M XEM at the same time so they can still run 1-2 SN's, what effect would that have?

Whatever happens, giving people a lot of warning of changes, and then certainty is critical.

Hi Devs ,we discussed on telegram channel and we decided its ok to run a vote poll to end the airdrop after this week and the remaining coins to be use to get on a bigger exchange, bttrex ,binnane ,etc...please run a vote poll

This is a pretty terrible idea man, the horse has already bolted with the distribution, if you change things now you'll only piss a lot of people off, and not enough funds to get on an exchange now anyway.
