by me, cancer mining looks like a fake...no tutorial,no proofs,no in road map,no answers....more ppl on dicords starts talkin about it  Huh
It's the real deal.

No one answered my question about the auto-payment threshold

Yes, like Luke explained, its to keep all the BBP out of the pool, so the pool always has close to a zero balance in the hot wallet.

3803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay - New Coin Launch - Official Thread on: February 06, 2018, 07:50:01 PM
and POS/POL testing is dead or?  we started something and ?

TOGO: exists tutorial for CancerMining? thanks

and hashrate is niiice 16,258 MH/s

I'm going to stop the POL testnet thread and start a new testnet thread in 2 hours.

I believe with the new information baked into proof-of-dc, POL may not be necessary.

It is now preferred to go through end-to-end cancer mining testing, test the hypothesis of redirection of heat, then decide with certainty that POL is not required.

Cancer Mining Update:

Please be ready to test in testnet in 24 hours.

EDIT: Bonus- the cancer miner will also support mining on the android mobile phone if it has an ARM processor.

What does it mean cancer mining?

Edit: Here is a lot of solo miners.

The potential future of Biblepay mining:

POW-heat miners will decommission instances of BBP
Rosetta cancer research (for windows or linux) is installed on N number of servers - *without* a copy of biblepay being on that server
Cancer research is also installed on Android phones
Cancer research is also installed on Windows PCs
ONE copy of biblepay is installed on the "controller" wallet
* Optionally, cancer research is installed on Sanctuaries to run in the background
Each cancer instance will have one setting: called your cross-project-identifier (its a uint256 hash) this ties all your machines together for rewards.

Biblepay then moves 95% of the  POW heat generated rewards over to the DC (distributed-computing) side
Your payments are automatically dropped to your controller wallet once per day (even if wallet is locked)
Scalability is unlimited in this scenario, we support over 32767*4 users in first 5 years of being live
We will target the entire Rosetta server farm also, to become biblepay users

To squeeze out the botnet:  POW-heat rewards drop 95% - therefore they leave

We then take back our network.

Another win:  Proof-of-biblehash stays, and is used on the controller wallet for block security.

Another win:  New consensus is Proof-of-distributed-computing + Proof-of-Biblehash

I will create wiki pages for all this, we will test it in testnet, then once the design is no longer changing, we will vote on it before it can be considered for production.

let me know, im picking up 4 servers on thursday, can throw one in testnet

The Distributed Computing feature is a breakthrough.  According to our security consultant Martin, (he has a cryptocurrency class at Ruhr), the current problem with the security in DC networks is the inability to associate the researcher securely with the Crypto Public Key.

In BiblePay, this is fixed.  The other issue is, it is a challenge to pull the distributed computing grid credits from the servers, and find a way to consolidate the credits into a file, and then vote on this file as a SanctuaryQuorum, securely, and with consensus each day.

In Biblepay, this is fixed.

We might be the First to securely implement distributed cancer computing.  Ill let the masses decide.

Cancer Computing will be ready in testnet in 4 hours.

I saw the post about the cosmetic criticism of biblepay.  I don't have a problem with the way any part of biblepay looks and I don't think that is holding back adoption at all.  I do have an observation, however (not a criticism as I don't know how to fix it).  I think if the block times were more consistent, we would have more traction getting on bigger exchanges like  bittrex.  I don't know for sure, but they do evaluate the consistency of block times:

"Coins which do not adhere to their target block times."

We look for coins that have high community demand, innovations to crypto-currency technology, or a contribution to science and humanity. We believe in aggressively taking chances on coins and letting the free market sort out which coins should thrive.

Bittrex reserves the right to keep or remove any market from its exchange.

Markets which are more eligible for removal include but are not limited to:

Markets with less than 0.5 BTC (or equivalent) of average daily volume over a 7 day period and have been on Bittrex for 4 weeks or more.
Markets that consistency dip below the minimum volume requirement.
Markets with 0 daily volume.
Markets with low liquidity. Less that 15 BTC on the Buy side of the order book for Bitcoin markets.
Coins with no developer support or public developments.
Coins without working blockchains.
Coins which do not adhere to their target block times.
Coins with weak blockchain security. e.g. Low hash rates which can be exploited.
Coins which violate our policies.
Coins which have compliance issues.
If a market is removed, you will have 14 days to remove your coins from our wallets.

Weve got the fix for that in testnet now, and I believe this will be released end of 1st quarter (thats March 31, 2018).

I don't think we have anything to worry about with Bittrex as they will probably wait until we have working distributed computing before listing us anyway.

3807  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay - New Coin Launch - Official Thread on: February 06, 2018, 02:02:50 AM
I am so confused. I am a 'newbie' here, so take this for what you will but.. this distributed cancer research, while indeed a noble and Christian endeavor, strays from the central focus of BiblePay.

Actually, maybe take my comments as a newbie, I assume other new folks to this coin may think the same, because seeing such a radical shift of focus makes no sense, and makes me really sad for the future of BiblePay. The coin needs a solid wallet and mining that can withstand the botnet. Shouldn't Proof-of-Loyalty be the primary focus?

Also shouldn't there be a vote or some sort of governance direct the coin toward cancer research? How could it possibly be added before POL is in production?

I put my modest resources toward mining BiblePay and have been actively watching this thread and Reddit and Discord. Stability of the coin has to come first. My very, humble opinion.
I think being more aligned with Jesus should be our central focus - Jesus heals.  I would rather have a cancer miner out there than a heat miner.

Whats the problem with cancer mining?  Would you not want to help cure cancer instead of create heat?

Cancer mining adds one more facet to Biblepay that not only provides intrinsic value, but makes us a compassionate gem.

Intrinsic value is what may propel biblepay to the top 100.

If there is anything disrespectful in your post, its deleted.

Otherwise defer to other veterans for the questions.

The reason I know your enemies of Biblepay (and what we do for God), is you had no compassion when I invested in the coin and lost it.  I pray for your souls, to turn back to Jesus.

bible_pay what do you think, who paid for so waste of electricity? you?  can you answer me of my this marks?

GIVE IS PROOFS!!!!

HOWG

You don't need to be wasting your electric in a greedy way and driving up the diff and taking our orphan money.
We can have 1000 computers who are already plugged in the wall mining biblepay.

Thats your problem.
3811  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay - New Coin Launch - Official Thread on: February 05, 2018, 03:03:27 PM

The reason we have a budget for compassion of 2.8MM coins is because we promised 10% of our coin emission to go to Approved charities.  Right now that is the amount that pays our 190 orphan recurring expenses.  This sets us apart from other coins.

So, I disagree that 'all coins should go back into reinvestment'.  We are aware of the problems, we dont need some "magic bullet" that you think is going to fix biblepay (as one persons opinion where they exalted themselves over questionable experience is worthless).  We are growing, above all helping those orphans first and not being greedy.  I dont need a template based on classic greedy oligarchy that risks defiling our system.

Regarding putting a bigger stake out of my personal pocket, I think I already did that as I attempted to invest $50k into the top 5 exchanges and got 0 back.  So now I have the right to bill consulting hours back to the coin when we make it big.  And we will make it big.

Remember we didnt have a premine and I bought bbp along with everyone else at the exact same time, there was no advantage for me.

I think one feature we need is a 'verified sanctuary' feature where we can see how much weight You have when you make comments - IE Verified Sanctuary owner of 5+ sancs, Verified Sanctuary Owner, Biblepay supporter.  Then we can see the credibility You have based on the stake you have in biblepay and find what weight a comment is worth.

3812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay - New Coin Launch - Official Thread on: February 05, 2018, 02:46:35 PM
Total hashpower has dropped from 15,5 MHPS to 12,9 MHPS in the latest hours, some big whale has considered BBP mining non profitable any longer, and has jumped off the boat.

Lets hope the trend continues.

3813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: BiblePay - New Coin Launch - Official Thread on: February 05, 2018, 02:44:56 PM
Anyone who thinks the pool is bad looking is on drugs.

Thats not where our focus is right now- its on proof-of-distributed-computing, first and foremost, as cancer-mining is far more important than greedy miners who want a sleek interface.

Come on, who is buying into this garbage?  One person says "green wireframe" and others believe it?  Are you Christians?
What pool out there even looks better than biblepay?  I stipulate we have the best looking and feature packed pool in existence anywhere.

Does NOMP have insitu callbacks and data driven menus?  Does any pool allow you to see records and drill into data?

Your credibility is close to zero.

Regardless, even if it did look like crap, it still looks better than the pools Ive used with bitcoin in the past, and even if it looked like those, I wouldnt be focusing my efforts on CSS to make it look like the one we have now:  good looking.

and on CCEX are still that same persons who still buy and sell round and round and price is still going up and down.
 right,its work 1 person

I hate to break it to you Slovakia, but without you we would have been a little further ahead.

Mining coins from the orphan budget does not advance us - its money you are taking from the budget when you point multiple computers at biblepay.

Biblepays organic growth comes from the hundreds of individual people with 1-3 PC's pointed at Biblepay who talk about us fairly.

C`ant believe you ppl still mine this...
I just mine in the background on my PC or laptop.  There's the occasional problem but I've found it easier to get coins than with most others I've tried.  It's a shame there's not a decent exchange yet but it's still early days.  I can never understand the negativity, doesn't put me off at all.

I'm curious about what you mean by "It's a shame there's not a decent exchange yet ..." As of Feb 1st BBP is now listed with SouthXchange, which by typical exchange standards is much more than just decent. SouthXchange is an excellent fit for BiblePay at this stage of the project. You may want to check it out.
I hadn't noticed, hopefully an improvement but still a very small exchange.  Perhaps it will grow but there's a lot of big exchanges with huge volume, they're the ones I'd like to see BBP on.  I do know that's not going to be easy and I don't mind keeping my coins in a wallet until it happens.

Yes I agree, it would be nice to be listed on a major exchange. Maybe you can contact one the major exchanges like GDAX to see what's involved in their listing process. Just PM me when you get that info and I'll help you raise the listing fee via donation/loans. Thanks sharpshot!

Before listing on something like GDAX - I would strongly advise the team at BiblePay to re-vamp the coin's image. Recently, users on this thread have come out of nowhere and said BiblePay looks like a scam. While presenting it to others in my sphere - I also received the same feedback. Those are two completely unrelated sources telling you the same thing... there is a serious issue of public trust here.

In 2016, the present roadmap would be sufficient for huuuge coin performance. Unfortunately it is 2018, and with everyone and their family creating a blockchain "product", being listed on exchanges should be about more than raising funds. It should be able presenting an idea that the public can noticeably "feel". The marketing efforts slated to kick off (according to BBP roadmap) starts on 02/15. I sure hope there is artwork & media coming down into the pipeline. If not, hire someone IMMEDIATELY and PAY THEM to do it (PLEASE no volunteer positions for critical blockchain tasks in 2018, the current C++ want ad reads like a missing child poster- it is sad)

I hope you see the sarcasm mixed with the "constructive" criticism here. While I would love for BBP to succeed, there is more than just being listed. In fact, being listed where the project is currently sitting is probably setting the project back. Instead, the funds should be used to hire critical staff to complete the tasks Rob is presently buried under. Nothing can be more important than getting more people -- even if you have to pay them.

Excellent thoughts, merited. This is exactly what I think is the missing puzzle piece for BiblePay to grow to the next level. I couldn't have expressed it better myself.

Even though this may sound illogical, I firmly believe that design is more important than tech, especially so if the target audience are Christians who are not very tech-savvy. Making the wallet look aesthetically pleasing and easy to use via GUI, without ever having to go something like the "debug console", will do wonders. It's been ages (in crypto time) when there's been some discussion about hiring a Qt wallet designer, which I understand has been deprioritized because of the plans to go with the Stratis platform, which would bring a new look on the table, but since that's been pushed to almost a year from now, maybe we should go back to the idea of redesigning the current Qt wallet? Because I can't really see this current wallet design make a breakthrough in the year to come.

The problem with this original assessment is that a pretty facade, like an apple iphone, or a pig with makeup is something that should be sold to valuable investors without any intrinsic value is flawed.  The iPhone I argue actually *has* a lot of intrinsic value because they were the first to make it easy to perform certain functions, like typing on glass, voice texts all that.

The distributed computing cancer research system *changes* the core, adds moving parts, and adds intrinsic value.

The proper thing to do with Biblepay is focus on making it run well under the hood first and then we will fix the cosmetic issues and sell it to the investors.

We are not in the PR phase yet.  We are fixing the engine right now and we just cut the muffler off the bottom of the car.

I would love to work with you on this. Unlike some people, at least I will contribute & share my findings with the community. Could you reach out to me via Slack? I PM'd ya days ago and have been awaiting a response. Thanks!

I dont have any PMs.   Please PM me with the nature of the request in detail, before attempting to speak on slack.

40 blocks hole occasionally is ok, but if it goes with another and another hole and we solved 3 blocks in 15 hrs compared to 25 blocks in 24h before, then something is definitely wrong
we can use magic  1 step procedure from every helpdesk Smiley, restart it Cheesy

Completely agree. And I have feeling that somebody is using our hashpower.

What exactly do you mean, do you think the pool is stealing your hashpower?

Btw just so every knows, there is at least 1 and maybe 2 private pools out there:
Why not ask Ivan (Slovakias friend) how much hashpower they are running against his pool, (the second one Im not entirely sure of - I got questions in Chinese and cant find the account in the pool that matches the questions so I have no clue if they went live).

Btw Andy Mucho tried to port Biblepay to GPU and could not do it.  I worked with him in e-mail back and forth tried to help him hack it.  The low nonce saved us.

As I know Ivan does not have private pool.

Why did he stop emailing me after he finished debugging the issue in the log with hashers against the pool not showing in leaderboard?
