3801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ZCash vs Monero on: March 20, 2022, 02:30:29 PM
I think after reading the quote below you will think again about Zcash:

Quote
While miners receive 80% of a block reward, 20% is given to the "Zcash development fund": 8% to Zcash Open Major Grants, 7% to Electric Coin Co., and 5% to The Zcash Foundation.[9][10]

Source --> https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zcash

Any currency that gives developers free money cannot be considered good for privacy or for future investment, Monero is a true private currency, but this does not guarantee that it is a good investment, and therefore you have to wait several years for privacy to become a valuable thing.

For me, and if I'm looking for privacy, I will go with Monero
3802  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Getting more skills in trading on: March 20, 2022, 02:13:34 PM
You are giving general headings which cannot be taken as a basis for benefiting from anything, so at least add more details like definition of technical indicators, how to read charts, opening an account in tradingview, and some simple experiments.

Then you can only learn if you do the experience, which is a basis for enhancing theoretical knowledge, and trading means losing, and therefore you must pay attention to the psychological aspects.

In addition to the science of studying the market, bearing risks and not investing money that you fear losing.
3803  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do you check the 200 day moving average ? on: March 20, 2022, 12:39:11 PM
200-day simple moving average (SMA) is a basic indicator for long-term investing but you need to use it with other indicators, and connect it with support and resistance to get an overview of the market direction as well as to know the strength of the trend.

In general, one of the most important things to read is the "golden cross," which is the point of the intersection of the 50-day SMA and the 200-day SMA, although often even after the golden cross is confirmed, the price fails to move in the same direction.

3804  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Crypto Lender BlockFi Says Client Data Leaked In Security Breach on: March 20, 2022, 12:14:20 PM
BlockFi said the breach had occurred on Friday through one of its third-party vendors, Hubspot- a sales management platform. The firm clarified in a series of tweets that its internal systems, and more importantly, client funds, were not impacted.

More recently, Singaporean exchange Kucoin saw more than $250 million stolen by hackers in 2020, while Crypto.com lost $34 million of customer funds to outside forces this January.

Unfortunately, we quickly forget and users will return to using BlockFi when positive news appears or greed begins to take over.

Personally, I used Kucoin and recommended them even though I read now about the news of the hack that already know about it a while ago, but I forgot what happened.

In general, according to what they said, ID & SNN was not hacked but I advise people to take their data seriously, especially new users.

3805  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is there any VCC provider that doesnt require KYC? on: March 19, 2022, 09:30:42 AM
Any websites that let you buy VCC with crypto without KYC. I know thats hard to find but maybe it exists.
Tell us what you're trying to find and we may be able to help you. There are plenty of things that don't require identity verification and can be purchased with gift cards, third-party apps, and wish-lists.

Unfortunately, non-KYC cards work in stores that do not need to verify age, bank account, and most of them accept gift cards. As for services linked in one way or another to bank accounts, the service will not work.

So at one point or another those cards will stop, those will continue to work will either be stolen or hacked and then you will get into some legal problems or the police may raid your house.
3806  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banks in Ukraine Restrict Clients from Buying Bitcoin using Ukrainian hryvnia on: March 19, 2022, 09:15:06 AM
I do not see a contradiction in the news, especially with the application of martial law. Governments may restrict some laws but if we go back to the reason for legalizing cryptocurrencies, which is that the government wants more money, whether from donations or increasing people’s transfers.

That individuals do the opposite, which is selling local currency to buy bitcoin, it is something against the policy that aims to collect bitcoin and convert it into the local currency, and therefore we see that they have approved the law and restricted withdrawals (not deposits)

Overall, I don't know how these restrictions will be applied?
3807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Please recommend a wallet that can see the private key and only store Bitcoin on: March 18, 2022, 02:00:30 PM
Unlike hardware wallets, there is no open source wallet that offers multi-chain service, and therefore to choose an open source wallet that has been well reviewed, it will be single-blockchain wallet (some wallet generate the private key with the same master private key/seed, but you need to connect to a different network to manage it such as MetaMask with BSC/Polygon/Ethertum)

For Bitcoin, there are many options that you can find here ---> https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

For altcoins, I recommend using New/MetaMask, as it enables you to get the most tokens.
3808  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Do you think DEX is safer? Here is why I don't on: March 18, 2022, 01:48:50 PM
In the end, you connect your wallet to unknown program, if you do not trust that program, you may end up losing your money.

 - Not all platforms that claim to be decentralized, are decentralized.
 - If you give permission to sign a message to a scam DEX, you will lose your money.
 - It is best to create a wallet for each token you want to exchange for.

If you send your money to an address generated from a private key that has not and will not connect to the Internet, it is impossible for that coins/tokens to be stolen as long as you generate it correctly/randomly.

In CEXs you trust these currencies 100%, but here it is up to you to protect your money (you have the choice)
3809  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What kind of software should beginners know? on: March 18, 2022, 01:39:09 PM
The most important thing is to learn, using the application will not enhance your privacy if you do not know how it works or at least have basic knowledge of it.
Most of the people download a random VPN application and thus give these companies their data, which they may sell later to parties that use it to track them.

We do not forget that with minimal errors, your identity will be revealed, and therefore you must be careful and constantly learn to ensure a high level of privacy.

Antivirus software is a waste of money and does not add any extra protection.
Also, you must use Two-Factor Authentication in a phone that is not connected to the Internet.
3810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Hoard Bitcoin? on: March 18, 2022, 12:43:32 PM
If you follow the return on investing (ROI) from Bitcoin, you will find that it varies with time.
Investing a thousand dollars in 2012 and keeping it for 5 years is more profitable than buying a thousand dollars in 2017 and selling today.

I heard a story about a man who found 500 bitcoins[1] in his old computer, this man is going to sell most of them now but at the same moment it may be someone who bought 500 bitcoins two years ago and thinks the current price is too low to sell.

In any case, cryptocurrencies are receptive and can achieve gains or losses, but the only constant is that paper money loses its value over time, and there is nothing that guarantees you that value.

3811  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Trade Tracker on: March 18, 2022, 12:27:09 PM
The link you put leads to a page on Twitter, that page is not working now.

So the bot is programmed on the previous values without having a role in analyzing the system, meaning that the trading strategy will be done according to the change in the ratios of the RSI, Stochastic RSI, weighted average price, moving average convergence divergence without taking into account any other factors linked to the price?

How quickly orders are executed and a guarantee that they will not be hacked.
3812  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Receiving and Sending BTC Anonymously Wallet? on: March 18, 2022, 12:16:26 PM
One of the loopholes that people forget when dealing with cryptocurrencies is the issue of searching for the transaction in the block explorer.
Block explorers are good but some of them log your IP address so even if you're doing privacy checks when you're creating a transaction, using a VPN, or even managing a full node, a search using the explorers might identify you.

Quote
But where the exchanges – and presumably most block explorers – have no eyes, Chainalysis has set its sights. It “‘scrapes’ the IP addresses of suspicious” users that fall into the honeypot of walletexplorer.com according to the documents.
“Using this dataset we were able to provide law enforcement with meaningful leads related to the IP data associated with an address,” the documents, translated from Italian, say. “It is also possible to conduct a reverse lookup on any known IP address to identify other BTC addresses.”

Source ---> https://www.coindesk.com/business/2021/09/21/leaked-slides-show-how-chainalysis-flags-crypto-suspects-for-cops/

Blockchain.com is also one of the suspicious explorers who might sell data (if they don't.)

Use Tor with privacy focus bitcoin block explorers (such as Blockchair) or verify your transaction yourself with your own block explorer.
3813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will NFTs be available on Instagram soon? on: March 17, 2022, 11:38:09 AM
If this happens, I expect everything to be centralized or to work just like Opensea site, provided that the user can buy centrally using USD or Cryptocurrencies, and then withdraw to the wallet.

I don't expect Instagram to accept Ethereum as a currency but rather to buy NFTs with it (too good if this happen.)

Generally it will be centralized, distorted and represents the possibility of selling digital products for dollars and will not be like existing tokens.
Therefore, it will be an additional means of promotion for creators to use the platform, especially with the intense competition from TikTok and Snapchat.
3814  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Which hardware wallets are open source? on: March 17, 2022, 11:14:47 AM
It's really shocking that I'm just knowing that hardware wallets are of two types just like every other PC and mobile wallets, my thought was every hardware wallets are fully open source until a day ago thanks to this forum still but now which hardware wallet is open source?
The fact that the wallet is fully open source will not benefit you as a newbie coder, but rather the number of people who have reviewed it and whether you trust their feedback or not, otherwise you will need to do it yourself.

So make sure that the wallet uses the same source code, look for people who review those codes or choose someone you trust otherwise, being an open or closed wallet is one thing for you.

If you don't want to bother your head, follow the tips above, but knowing more things won't hurt you.
3815  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Always look out for a good entry point on: March 17, 2022, 10:57:26 AM
After understanding what crypto is all about and how wallets work do not think that doing research is the end, when you find that good project look at the chart and make sure you aren't entering at a ATH, good entry point is when price is very far from ATH.
This model will only work with Bitcoin, Ethereum, or a limited number of cryptocurrencies.
99% of cryptocurrencies fail to reach one tenth of old ATH that have been achieved, so even if you buy away from it, you will not make an additional profit.

Also, BTC/USD is similar to Altcoin/USD chart or a lower curve in the long term, so the strategy of buying low is ideal for Bitcoin and identifying points of support and resistance would be ideal for that.

for altcoins it is better to deal with them as speculation and nothing else.
3816  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance worth more than sum of European banks? on: March 17, 2022, 10:36:30 AM
CZ will be stupid If he makes such a statement because Binance has become large enough for the regulatory authorities to audit and find some violations that require fines or the imposition of an audit.

In other words, the more Binance be under the spotlight, the more likely they will pay more taxes and compensation.

As for the statement, it is an attempt to prove the liquidity and that the project that is listed on that platform will be sufficient, and perhaps the increased competition makes them say this, especially since all platforms have become imitating Binance in everything, and therefore unless there is more innovation, we may witness the rise of a new star.

In general, we need more good platforms even if they require identity verification.
3817  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Can HW manufacturers get user info through their apps? on: March 17, 2022, 10:09:07 AM
They can obtain information, but it will be useless unless it is linked to other information collected about you, such as information from Google, Facebook, and other services.

 - The generation of PVT keys is assumed to be in an environment that has not and will not be connected to the Internet.
 - Broadcasting transactions must be connected to a server, so they may be able to collect information such as addresses, IP addresses, etc.
 - You can connect to your own server to enhance privacy.

When they get your IP and addresses, all they need to do is track them using Google, central platforms, service providers and more.

So for the average user, they will not get important information, but if you are wanted by the FBI or there are enough resources to track you, they will certainly be able to find you.
3818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the purpose of all these altcoins? on: March 17, 2022, 09:56:16 AM
Altcoins appeared mainly as solutions to Bitcoin problems, but most of them were an easy solution, such as increasing the size of the block, facilitating mining and others.

 - Some altcoins have uniquely solved Bitcoin's problems or added something new, such as Monero and ethereum.
 - Other altcoins have the main goal of making their developers rich or increasing their bitcoins like BSC.
 - In the past, those coin were mined or some of Hashrate used in bitcoin mining was used to mine them and thus achieve more profits.
 - Currently, profit has become easier and faster, so you do not need to spend money to buy devices, but rather speculate on platforms.

The current goal of altcoins is to make their developers rich.
3819  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TIPS how to manage from losing when investing new projects. on: March 17, 2022, 09:03:02 AM
1. We buy coins not only because the price is low - many had thought that buying them in bulk gives them a good profit later.

You must buy coins either to speculate (if you are a trader) or for future value, and 99% of cryptocurrencies fail to maintain a future upward value.

2. We have to stop thinking about hypes - maybe some but not all of the new projects

Even good projects do not continue to grow for long, because it is mostly in response to conditions. For example, the reason for the rise of Polygon is the increase in the fees of Ethereum network. As soon as the fees decrease, BSC and Matic will not be that useful.

3. Stop falling to scam projects - usually, people got tricked when seeing projects offer high rewards (good to be true) and most of them are just a lie.
Any project that promotes itself in terms of quick profit is scam, whether it has been proven to be scam or not.

4. Doing Research - we have to take this seriously as nobody had ever succeeded without this.

Searching alone is not enough, but you know how to search, many scam projects buy ads, reviews and good articles, so do not be deceived by the first page  on Google.
3820  Other / Archival / Re: Crypto Industry Hyper Adoption on: March 17, 2022, 08:52:49 AM
Bitcoin will never become a global reserve currency.A global reserve currency is always backed by military force.
First,it was the British pound, when the British empire dominated the world.USA took over the place as the global superpower and the US dollar is the global reserve currency.Bitcoin isn't supported by any global superpower and it never will be.

I did not say a global reserve currency and bitcoin will not become it, but rather that countries, companies, institutions, and central banks put 1% of their net worth in bitcoin over the next 20 years.
Currently the rate of possession of foreign currencies as reserve represent less than 3%. If Bitcoin becomes 1% of that number, we will witness real changes, especially if there are real global trade sanctions between the United States and China.

2.Bitcoin is NOT "non-sanctionable".Bitcoin trading and mining can be banned by any country in the world(or by all big countries altogether). I know that a part of the miners and Bitcoin users will survive such ban,but the BTC price would most likely go back to the 2010-2012 levels of a few dollars per BTC.

Banning Bitcoin needs global consensus and it will not happen, take the current scenario when countries decided to ban Russia, some countries are still dealing with it[1], we still have not got consensus on the climate summit (COP26[2],) if we reach 10 trillion dollars, banning Bitcoin will not be an easy thing.
Secondly, most of the currencies have been mined and therefore the effect of the ban will be less, which weakens the decentralization of the network.
