3802  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: about gambling sites... what does rigged means, exactly? on: October 14, 2014, 07:57:38 PM
rigged means the odds are fixed to always be bad for you and good for the sites.

so say a coin flip game is 50/50 then if it was rigged it could be something like 20/80 (80 being the site)

ah I see...
but someone from a dice site told me that the admin is watching the bets and when you get too much profit, the admin will make it so that you lose all of your balance.. is that even possible?

First off thanks for being upfront about your loan use.

How much is a ZenHashlet worth?

For anyone wondering, I have accepted ZenMiner accounts as collateral and everything went fine.

about 0.044 if you sell it at the lower price (19.5$).
3808  Economy / Lending / need 0.05 loan. zenminer collateral on: October 14, 2014, 05:55:05 PM
ok, I need 0.05 loan for a day or two. I'll return 0.06
I have 1 zenhashlet and 0.0025 on my account.
I'll be using it to gamble btw. so if I bust you can choose to wait for my paycheck at the beginning of November or just keep the account.

no longer needed

Eh, I might as well answer it for you.

Yes, Coin Chat was owned by TF. I think it was kind of obvious...

not that obvious for me.. and besides, I joined after he left

Not sure how this will turn out, but ask TradeFortress anything Smiley (instead of polluting all the threads I reply to.)

hey. i just started thinking about it now.. but I heard that the old owner of coinchat is TF (never bothered to ask what TF stands for). is that you?
3813  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular Bitcoin Game |1% Edge | PVP | Jackpot | Faucet on: October 13, 2014, 01:43:11 AM

I'm sure the people who actually claim the faucet would prefer something different to take its place as well provided the reward was still equal. Still looking for suggestions on that.

I still think the faucet is necessary, but throwing some suggestion around won't hurt... here's some of my suggestions with their cons (in my opinion, anyway), they are ridiculous as usual.

1. the only thing that I can think as an "equal" to faucet is rakeback. but it'll lost the one important feature that faucet has, helping newcomers get used to the site.

2. a level-based tip rains is also equal. but there's a big problem with that (alts, acc selling, and maybe some more)

3. you can also reward users for getting achievements and leveling up, that will reduce the account selling problem; but it'll make the chat spammy unless you remove the chat achievements.

there you go, now I can sleep in peace

decreasing the minimum tip to 10k will increase the site's expenses...
3816  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular Bitcoin Game |1% Edge | PVP | Jackpot | Faucet on: October 12, 2014, 10:35:13 PM

There probably are plenty of best case scenarios but the faucet is what causes the majority of spam on the website and account level farming/sales. How about an alternative that still rewards leveling up but in a less spammy and more difficult to game way?

ok this might sound a bit ridiculous, but bear with me.

how about implementing a new feature called faucet points or something like that, 1 point for 1 faucet.
we get 1 point for every 50k (or something) that we gambled starting from 1btc (or something).

there you go
3817  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice | Most Popular Bitcoin Game |1% Edge | PVP | Jackpot | Faucet on: October 12, 2014, 09:35:50 PM
I'm pondering the removal of the faucet more seriously now, the cost of it has significantly decreased but the incredible amount of support emails that center around the faucet itself or amounts under 0.0005 from faucet bettors along with a much larger userbase has decreased the quality of the support we can offer severely. Many argue that it must be removed as it lowers the quality of the chat and community as well.

What are the thoughts of everyone and if faucet is removed what should levels be used for?

Thanks

I think this is bad idea. why? because some people like me needs faucet to keep us hooked to the site after we're busted.
people don't have unlimited money to bet, you know. once they bust they'll have to wait for their paycheck or whatever before they have the money to gamble again. and they might search for and find a better way to increase their btc while they're waiting for that.

so yeah, I think removing the faucet would be a bad idea.

sorry if my English have some flaws
