Is it known how much is stored on mymonero.com?

The long downtime starts to smell a bit fishy, the shills are struggling for explanations.
Could be more to it than what is known yet.
Once it comes back online, if it does, there sure will be more selling pressure from that side.

Rumour is it's a scam site and people have lost wallets.
3802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: [POLL]Monero-Will There Be One Big Exit Dump-Or Is It Going To Die a Slow Death on: January 13, 2017, 10:43:48 PM
If you put the charts at 1W you will see the previous big exit dump, this will make another big exit dump far more likely.

It could even be accelerated by the MyMonero website offline issues.
So i voted yes.

Thats exactly what I thought. The chart could be a picture book example of a trading course on how to spot a nice short play
3803  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / [POLL]Monero-Will There Be One Big Exit Dump-Or Is It Going To Die a Slow Death on: January 13, 2017, 10:08:43 PM
Looks bad for Monero. Theres only one big shark behind the sustained mega pump, that much is known.
Its all so obvious and it shines thru.
Do you think the dude is already shorting it, to dump it hard later?
Or is it just going to die a slow death.

I honestly think it isn't worth more than 100k per coin, if at all, considered the codebase, the concept, the performance and the abilities of the developers.
3804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Monero's ANON FAIL ! on: December 15, 2016, 03:24:32 PM
Spoetnik brought up the points concerning end-to-end encryption in general, not only for Monero.
It's pointless. If they want you, they'll get you, at the endpoints, one way or another.
It's a honeypot feature.

After all, we could focus on more important features than anonymity, it just doesn't exist.

For those that are curious about what DiguSign will be used for with blockchain contracts please look here: http://digusign.com/

Currently there are no proven, scalable ways of doing secure "smart" contracts on a blockchain.  But you can leverage some of the benefits of DigiByte blockchain to create a more practical secure blockchain contract solution.

I wonder how this isn't all over the place. There is real good business for it.

I made a small fortune in 1999 on stock of a company named Bitwise, BTWS (just to smack it again on another crap stock, a couple of weeks later).
They were among the first to store electronically signed documents. They are still in business, after some mergers, they came a long way, Cap Gemini etc. http://www.authentidate.com/

How far are you with that, any ETA?

Now the bottom will fall out.
The network just received an alert broadcast "Obsolete Version" for all wallets.

Expect it to be frozen any minute now.

#Vcash $XVC Current GUI users should now receive the last alert from john_connor (Obsolete Version) until the next release update (0.5.1).

so is this a planned message or not. Why would the market crash because of this?

WIP
It was badly communicated, like mostly

(as  evident by the half-ass shit Zerotime and anonymity he produced). You shills can go on and on about "break it if you can", but it doesn't change the fact that we are collection of experts and we know what the fuck we are talking about.

How do you expect the community to believe you without proof? It's just his words vs yours. Nothing more. Nothing less.

So let me get this right. You are a collection of tough shit experts and you can't explain why shit doesn't work. Way to go.

LOL, they're trying to get a GUI around their beloved coin for years already, what do you expect?
3809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Julian Cain - redemption, sail off to the sunset or legal issues? on: December 05, 2016, 03:54:35 PM
Didn't expect that much objectivity from Cryptohunter, well said.

It could very well go the other way around, now that he's doxed.
The anonymous gang around smooth, icebreaker, badass, ocminer, your mother, could face allegations for slander and wirefraud, if their real motives surface. Its been going on for so long and XVC is not the only battlefield they were working. There is plenty of evidence all over the place. The FBI could be very interested, as its a multi million Dollar fraud going on for years, with a handful of perpetrators profiting. JC was an easy victim for the vultures, like many other dev teams that were destroyed.

The coin is doing fine, the market hasn't collapsed, still buyers, still volume.
This story is far from over.

"Slander - the action or crime of making a false spoken statement damaging to a person's reputation."

What in the name of fuck are you talking about, son ?

Everything that i have used for revealing the charlatan was taken from social networks, mugshots.com and various other documents that are publicly available on the internet. How about we focus on the scumbag john julian connor cain ashley and his intentions and not on the methods that me and others used for bringing his carcass out to the surface ?

"Thank you for your support  Cool"

This post alone is enough for legal proceedings.
Thanks for your written confession  🐩

I don't believe that. Smooth has ... bla bla bla

Instead of babbling all day long you should start to read some of the new information available, maybe it will help to resolve some of your delusions.

3812  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: XVC Vcash [UNOFFICIAL] ▱ Zerotime ▱ Zeroledger ▱ Anon ▱ Innovative on: December 03, 2016, 04:06:15 PM
Vcash is ready and still is a revolutionary coin. It will not be hard to find good devs to take over the currency and implement some details like decentralized governance.

Many big investors dont go into XVC just because they hate John Connor, maybe if he leaves, that will change.

I would really love it if xCore and whhpg takeover the coin

...
i'm sure this "takeover" will not be easy... if it will ever happen.
otherwise xvc would already have a few forks with other nome... i'm not a coder but i've always heard about a "few difficulties" in vcash code. that makes it completely different from bitcoin...

I think you're on to something

Its all quite simple.
Whoever wants to use this software has to appreciate and pay JC, one way or another.
I think he will be paid, in the end.

Welcome to this troll thread.
XVC must be a real threat to a certain group of people, considered the propaganda effort they make and the amount of capital they burn to keep the value low. I hope somebody will make it really expensive for them.
Its full on, Polo Trollbox, BCT, they do all they can to foreclose it.
It reminds me to the Clinton campaign.

vcash are you in freefall? sad Sad

What comes around, goes around Smiley

why did you de-list the coin exactly, due to forks? who cares about the attitude , technology matters , if I would care about the attitude I would be in the academia  Roll Eyes

btw you run fantastic and honest pools.. yo probably are one of the most important people in the space... very solid! thank you

as far as vcash and network hash it has been transferred and high @ other pool, some taking chance solo, in general I would close an eye on an "attitude" Einstein was known to had one (big ego too but that's like being hidden from history books)

you also were not breaking bank @ocminer.. but you keep your fees low.. despite the fact your server costs can not be that low... thats very decent of you actuallly, overall your pool accounted for close to100% of the network.. which is never good, one of these days one of these coins will catapult to the BTC level.. hopefully.. will be super fun then.. now we kiiind of having fun, cheers

aaand someone is playing big now.. buy order @ 57413.52578572 , 8 BTC (where word big is relative) but for us at the moment is lol

in general if BTC core developers scan vcash c++ codebase for "ideas" above is a bargain

Actually the XVC and former VNL pool was running for a long time, it was running flawless for all that time, I've always migrated to the latest version and xCore etc. helped a lot until one day suddenly it forked and I had to fully resynch to the network - a day after the resync it forked again and a third time the next day again, I always had to reimburse miners because they literally minted hot air while the pool was forked.

While investigating those forks I came to the conclusion that John actually banned/blacklisted the pools main IP and therefore caused the fork for the pool, he later also confirmed it on twitter:

As it doesn't make sense fighting against the dev of the coin, the miners are always the losers, I decided to stop and close the pool for good. I was asking myself why the dev wouldn't contact me if the pool really spews invalid blocks. I've confirmed that all my blocks were and are fully valid as I compared them to other blocks (from other pools) on the network. It seems like only some privileged pools are "certified" to operate pools for the coin. However there are some ways to circumvent any ban, it wasn't worth the time then and it surely isn't yet.

I've heard from a miner that even his private pool forked a few days ago, he moved to another IP and it was fine again until this IP was also banned/blacklisted.. It's a hide and seek if you're trying to solo with lots of hash Smiley

I lost coins on your pool.
I think you're a clueless liar.
You were under ddos an just not able to mitigate, thats why you forked over and over again.

"Free market" is New world Order and has to fail.  The internet is a battlefield that is only just starting to spill blood. It will soon become full war. Not between nations but between the people and the ruling classes. It started with Brexit and is spreading into the US. The people will take back control but first we must crash fiat. It has started with the GB £ and the US $ will follow

Bitcoin must not go mainstream, It must stay the payment system for the Resistance to the New world Order.  A global insurrection against banker occupation has began. If we scale too quickly they will hijack our tech. I'm with segregated witness. Let's see the banking system fail first and then we will see if we get 95%

While I agree with most of what you said I cannot interpret free market as a symptom of the new world order. Quite the opposite. No idea how you came up with that. Sorry.

that $75mill investment so far into blockstream has come from the banking groups.

think about it, research it and realise who is controlling it.

Thanks for pointing that out. Follow the money. Good idea.

EDIT:
For anyone new to this thread, listen to this video. I just discovered it and it sure is relevant to this topic.

Good that you feel violated, you should realise that Bitcoin is close to its headshot.
Why there's two categories at all? Its all about crypto, some alts maybe better in the meantime.
You BTC cowboys got to be shot off your high horse already and get your shit in order.
You're standing in the way of development and evolution, your pissing all over the place.

You've lost it already. You got nothing to do with the BTC market anymore, anyway, thats Chinese, 99%, the rest will follow and then you can start out like every other alt and you can name it Bitcoin Unlimited or whatever and see how far you'll make it with your outdated pile of crap.

3820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Steem pyramid scheme revealed on: November 16, 2016, 06:08:42 PM
As long as it isn't main stream it isn't social media.
Everything else are communities, like this one.
And I wouldn't mind making a couple of grands for holding a bag of Steem.

Something I would imagine is a kind of a back-machine for existing communities.
Lets say boards like GLP or Reddit and the like were constantly crawled and just fed onto Steem.
Such an accumulation function could even be part of the client, winning a reward for finding a contribution which isn't on the blockchain yet.
Users could participate on either side, with naturally more content on the blockchain side, because it would have all other content PLUS the contribution of autonomous clients. There wouldn't be much Steem Inc or GLP or Facebook could do about it. Somebody started a thread on GLP about a GLP-Py tool he makes, to do just that. It was deleted after a couple of posts and we got banned. Forget about all voting and value crap, its just a trollbox feature, i.m.o.
