3801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Matic Network coin is consistently outperforming on: May 25, 2021, 10:23:44 AM
What kind of future will Matic have with ETH2? Not much need for it after. Matic is good only for short term IMO. For longer term I would go with complete blockchain like Harmony ONE or even Ada.

I do not think so. By creating additional layers and side chains, Polygon is designed to complement Ethereum's design. It will complement Ethereum 2.0, too.
Polygon seems poised to become Ethereum's swiss army knife after all the developments and partnerships that have taken place since the rebrand.

I'll start first. Baking. I love to make bread and cakes, but on my time.

I couldn't imagine having to wake up at 3 am everyday to start making bread.

"Why don’t we just scrap the whole mining idea and just let Elon sign the blocks? Sounds pretty green to me."

Who can tell me how to place the text to the right or left of the image? So that the text is seven-dimensional to the image.

The best way as far as I know is by using tables.
3805  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Short Tesla Token on: May 24, 2021, 09:35:26 PM
Have you ever thought about investing in a token that goes up when tesla goes down?

Have you ever heard of tradable TESLA Stock Tokens at Binance Exchange? Why would anyone risk money on suspicious-looking fake tokens when they can already trade real ones on the world's largest exchange?
3806  Economy / Economics / Re: Organised crime on: May 24, 2021, 09:24:20 PM
Same way it's foolish/lawless to ban bananna because criminals are perverting its usage,  misusing or abusing it.
The wise goes after the criminals and let the good banana be... or even put things in place to prevent the misuse or abuse of bananna.

It's OK to ban bad/unsafe bananna though

I'm sorry, but how do criminals misuse or abuse bananas?
3807  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC has broken the $40k barrier, next test is $31k, then on to $10k on: May 24, 2021, 03:08:06 PM
To go to $100k or higher would be bigger than the USA GDP, do you have any idea where this money is going to come from?

There's no denying that math isn't everyone's forte.
3808  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $65,000 the peak of this bull market? on: May 24, 2021, 12:00:56 PM
Do you think $65,000 represents the peak of the current bull market?
But Bitcoin did not even meet that 65,000$ mate so meaning either bitcoin is not finish yet or that 64k is the peak.

All Time High
Apr 14, 2021 (a month ago)   $64,863.10

It came pretty close to $65 k so I rounded it up to a closer value.
3809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This isn't the first time the dip has happened on: May 24, 2021, 10:39:11 AM
But what you said is perfectly correct, If you are not ready for this kind of situation then you are investing in the wrong place..This is Volatile market and weak hands does not belong here.

the price reached $60,000 thanks to the twitter of elon musk and now the price has dropped to $35000 thanks to the twitter of elon musk, there is no way for people not to panic and sell bitcoin when they realize that there is a man who can when he wants make the price go up a lot and then make the price go down a lot, anyone panics and sells. what is happening in that market is something abnormal and dangerous. I lost $80 in a few minutes

Since Elon first experimented on Dogecoin, he had a better understanding of how to manipulate the price of Bitcoin with his tweets to his benefit. Come to think of it, I would probably have done the same if I were in his position...

No, I wouldn't do that! The crypto community is too important to me to take part in such a thing.  Wink
3810  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Mobile App UI | UPDATE | May 17 on: May 24, 2021, 10:29:42 AM
Would it be possible to develop an app using ninjastic.space current API? To start with, just for forum reading.
Yes, but I don't think there is enough demand to justify the time needed to code one.
I agree with you. Btw, no one cares about the UI, so who will care about the APP? I guess I am even going to stop doing of what I'm doing at the moment.

I'm not sure about that. UI mockups are one thing, but the full-featured APP is something else altogether.
If there were an APP that made it easier to view bitcointalk forum on mobile devices, I would be very interested.
3811  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $65,000 the peak of this bull market? on: May 24, 2021, 10:12:48 AM
Do you think $65,000 represents the peak of the current bull market?

Yes. Bitcoin will never make another ATH.

Why do you feel that way? Is there anything different about Bitcoin today compared to previous years when it reached new ATHs with each new bull run?
3812  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wells Fargo: US Bank changes its mind about Bitcoin on: May 24, 2021, 09:54:44 AM
They all changed their minds step by step. There is probably hardly any bank that is not going to offer Bitcoin and Ethereum products to its wealthy clients very soon.

Yeah. At some point the mainstream will know about cryptocurrencies. The naysayers may ridicule it, but we will still see a huge increase in consumer demand for cryptocurrency-related products in the future. If and when this happens, Bitcoin (and other cryptocurrencies) could go much higher than they are today.
But just how far will cryptocurrency take us in 2021?

3814  Economy / Speculation / Is $65,000 the peak of this bull market? on: May 23, 2021, 11:00:48 AM
BTC still holding the $35,000 level. Although we cannot be certain, the technical indicators and Bitcoin psychological trends support the possibility that we will see a rally soon.
Hopefully, Bitcoin will see new all time highs.

Do you think $65,000 represents the peak of the current bull market?
3815  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk Mobile App UI | UPDATE | May 17 on: May 23, 2021, 10:35:40 AM
It is technically even possible to make a bitcointalk app without theymos' approval? I'm not a developer, but wouldn't that require some kind of bitcointalk API?
You could technically have a backend scraping the forum and manage the posting/meriting directly through HTTP requests, but it would most likely be very clunky. It could be a fun experiment, but I already have enough projects to work on. Tongue

3816  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: This isn't the first time the dip has happened on: May 23, 2021, 10:29:01 AM
It's time to hold back, don't panic when prices go down, make sure all of this will recover to normal, many panic and sell their assets at times like this but they will regret it when they see the market has started to recover like my experience in 2018, I don't want that bad experience to repeat itself.

If we panic to see the Bitcoin price fall deep enough right now, it will only hurt us. Because Bitcoin prices have often fallen, even the worst happened
in 2018, but in the end Bitcoin always managed to recover again. That's right, don't let our bad experiences in 2018 happen again, we must be able
to learn from every experience we have experienced. The best step we have to do now is that we have to HODL our Bitcoin until the price recovers
and that does require patience.

Keep buying while the price still cheap and never to look for short term goal it will really hurt your investment

if you don't have the right management of your asset, those who managed to buy last year and wait after this

year are good example of patience being used and rewarded by huge amount of profits.

People usually do not buy it at this time because they think it is a speculative asset. Many think about the bitcoin bubble and they conclude that there is no point to keep bitcoin for a long time. However, that is not true. Bitcoin still has great potential and it can grow further in the future.
Meanwhile, many bitcoiners realize that although the bitcoin price will go down temporarily, they know that the potential is still quite big for the future. Many investors are now looking for long-term investment opportunities in Bitcoin, and it's not a bad idea to get in right now as there's still a lot of room for it to grow.
3817  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Satoshi Response To Elon Musk's Tweet On Bitcoin Mining on: May 23, 2021, 07:51:30 AM
Elon is so naive and have no idea what damage his space ship has on the environment habitats, No he is so dumb to know that, how could a man with such influential status go live to talk shit without proper research, Bitcoin mining don't even consume 1/4 of what gold mining and banking system uses.

I mean they still bought BTC, and holding 90% of it.
Yeah but they want you to sell your own with their shit posts, fall the market while they accumulate more to themselves. A selfish game.

Can you really believe he said that without any research beforehand? Can you really believe that?
No, I don't think he's dumb. Every action and thought he makes is thoughtfully intended for his benefit. Why do I think so? Because that's the most rational answer.
3818  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Satoshi Response To Elon Musk's Tweet On Bitcoin Mining on: May 22, 2021, 06:01:12 PM

If he really thinks bitcoin is awful, then why did neither him nor Tesla sell any of their coins? He's doing this for his own benefit, nothing else.

I think exactly the same.
It's important to understand that Musk, like most rich people, does what he knows best; make more money for himself.
3819  Other / Meta / Re: User banned - Possibly misunderstanding the idea of a regular social bounty on: May 22, 2021, 05:38:09 PM
My understanding is that users would give away altcoins in a way that each account would receive fractions of a cent worth of the altcoin, but said altcoin would receive basically free advertising/promotion.
I don't think anyone is arguing to allow those again (but weirdly enough it has been happening on the bounty board for years).

Exactly. I see no connection between altcoin giveaways and the topic in question. From what I can tell, this wasn't a giveaway but a bounty. Members had to do a specific task to be paid.

If this was the message onemd wanted to post on Elon's Twitter, how is that promoting altcoins?
Quote
Elon, Gold Mining and printing money uses fossil fuels and is also Environmentally unfriendly. Bitcoin is a new option for Money and Gold. Bitcoin is what started Crypto. Reconsider Elon

It seems disproportionate to get banned from this forum because of a procedural error given the organizer's intentions.
3820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Holding 5 years a just a imagination on: May 22, 2021, 10:16:36 AM
we keep the coins at least 5 years , but its too long imagination.  you can proof it. 2018 early NEM coin was top 6 Marketcap now 56. so keeping its useless. we have to updated everytime and get the action the correct time and exit.
/cut/

I don't understand your argument. Even for NEM, if you held the coins for five years, your ROI would be attractive.
