If i remember correctly, didnt you mention that you gave multiple members free contracts, yet i only see mark posting his results actively on the forums.

only one keeping up my end of the bargain  Wink
Was anyone else actually given free mining contracts?  I understand there was a contest to win, but aside from the contest, were other contracts given out?  If yes, then those others certainly are not upholding their end of things.

Well you can read our silence on the matter in various ways. It's up to you to make up your own mind, not up to me or indeed Mr. Gage to tell you what to think. Having a domain name registered with the same registrar as many thousand other people does not make you that person. Not in the reality I inhabit at any rate.
You're absolutely correct in that I can read it in multiple ways.  This is exactly my point.  People can and will read your silence in multiple ways.

Your statement about multiple people using the same registrar is valid, and one with which I agree.  To be honest, I'm trying very hard to understand how PG managed to get to his conclusion, but I'm failing.  I'm sure he'll be back in this thread, and hopefully he can explain, for those of us unable to follow his steps, how he made the conclusion he did.

By the way, that doesn't mean I'm going to relent on my requests for you to proudly display the credentials of your leadership Smiley

Why would a video matter if they take a reversible form of payment such as credit cards??  The main reason I like this setup is that I do not have to pay with BTC
Not having to pay with BTC certainly adds a layer of security to the hardware as well.

While it was definitely cool to see the video of the miners, I'd love to see a video of that miner connected to a pool like Eligius.

Hi novello,

I snipped your reply and only copied your statement directly to Phinnaeus Gage:
..............
Since he's accused you of being a convicted fraudster and scam artist, I would think that deserves a response either acknowledging or debunking the statements.

How can he do that if he refuses to reveal his team?
You've fully grasped my implication Smiley

Multiple times throughout this thread people have asked for some information regarding the Novello team.  While some of those requests were too much, others, like my own, were to get an understanding of key leaders.  I even went as far as to provide examples of many companies and how they give out this information freely.  Others provided examples of multiple ASIC hardware manufacturers (Spondoolies, etc).

Thus far, Novello has evaded providing this information.  Now, they are being outright accused of being run by a convicted fraudster/scam artist.  I'm asking them, yet again, to provide evidence of who they are such that they might prove they are indeed capable of not only running a company, but also producing the hardware they are trying to sell.

Hi novello,

I snipped your reply and only copied your statement directly to Phinnaeus Gage:

But now onto Mr. Gage.

This is a public forum, and so everyone can put in their piece whether I like it or not. I've never attempted to remove anyone's postings that I don't like for one very important reason, I believe in the concept of Free Speech, and much though I despise it's misuse by the UK media and others, I'll defend it until the day I die. It's a non-negotiable prerequisite for a true democracy, take it away and you'll have a very quick descent into George Orwell's worst nightmare. So Mr.Gage, I'm not going to pass any detailed comment on anything you've written but whether I like what you said or not, I'll still defend your right to say it, as long as you don't lie or make stuff up. If you have detailed questions you want to ask that haven't already been answered, please put them on a list and I'll get back to you. Please remember that while you might enjoy posting lots of comments, many other forum members don't necessarily want to wade through pages and pages of views from just one person. The more you say, the less people pay attention and so might miss your message or just skip over your posts altogether. Just a friendly suggestion.
I bolded the particular portion of your statement that I think is very relevant.  Here are the accusations made by Phinnaeus Gage:

Novello Technologies is run by none other than this guy: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alan_Ralsky

Looks like they no want to get into a pissing contest with old, toothless Phinn.

I'm going to be outta pocket the rest of the day, so I might as well play this card now.

You know who else has an entity at the same address as Novello? This guy: http://www.spamhaus.org/rokso/evidence/ROK1310/alan-ralsky/partners-in-spam-rayed-esseily-stuart-l.-ralsky

Where the hell you get this from?

I was really against this from the beginning as this just  smell from mile away.
But this?

Is it really the same guy behind it or just pure luck to match them two at same details?

3807  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - Best W/GH/s ratio, Best $/GH/s ratio on: June 09, 2014, 09:43:27 PM
Thanks Zvisha.  So, setting the max to .68 (30 mV higher than the start) should work out just fine?  As for the max PSU and DC2DC, since the PSU is capped at 1100, does setting this at 1260 make sense?  Does 62 make sense here, or should that be adjusted down to 61 or up to 63?
3808  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Noise difference in Antminer S2 vs. Spondoolies SP10 on: June 09, 2014, 09:15:43 PM
I have both.  The S2 I have in my spare bedroom.  The SP10 is in my basement.  On turbo, I can hear the SP10 screaming throughout my house.  With the fans set to 50, I can only hear it early in the morning when the house is silent.  However, if I open the basement door, I can most certainly hear it.

The SP10 fans whine like a high-pitched jet turbine.  The S2 makes more of a "whoosh" sound.  The pitch is far lower - because of the considerably larger fans.  In my bedroom, which is right next to the spare bedroom, I cannot hear the S2 at all.  It's just white noise.
3809  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - Best W/GH/s ratio, Best $/GH/s ratio on: June 09, 2014, 09:08:42 PM
Question.

If I'm not in advanced mode does the three fan settings control the other numbers that are in advanced mode?
I just took a peek at the numbers in advanced mode (these I never changed) and they are:

FAN SPEED: 80
START VOLTAGE: .664
MAZ VOLTAGE: .750
MAX POWER CONSUMP: 1260
DC2DC CURRENT LIMIT: 62

Are all those numbers ok? Right now I'm on a 110V but will be switched over to a 208V next week probably.

For 110V set your START VOLTAGE to 0.650.
What about max?  Current "turbo" settings are 0.664 - 0.750, with 1260 max power and 62 DC2DC.  Based on the new start of 0.65, should those of us stuck on 110 alter the max voltage/power/DC2DC?

Of course, I can't actually DO any of those things until Thursday... stupid work making me travel again... Tongue But, it gives me something to think about until I get back home.

3811  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: I just want to mine to support bitcoin on: June 09, 2014, 12:02:32 AM
It seems to me the 51% threat is very real, and there's not much we can do about it.  Greed will trump common sense every time. I want to do what I can to contribute to the other 49%.  I'm fully aware that the mining-for-profit ship has sailed, but I'd like to learn how to mine as well as offset the 51% as much as I could.

Anyone got any advice for a noob with good intentions?
Other than not to mine on a pool that might reach 51%?  There are plenty of places out there that you can point your miners to.  If you're just in it for the mining, and not for the profit, I know a very good place where you can send any of those extra BTC... my wallet Smiley

Personally, I run a local p2pool node and mine on that.  It's been a rough few days, though, with no blocks found.  But, that's the fun of variance and luck.
3812  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: MinerTechnologies.com - 3 TH/S and 200MH/S ASM1 for sell / Cloud contracts. on: June 07, 2014, 07:58:45 PM
One more question.  For the scrypt miner it states the PSU is not provided, but 1200W is required.  Would a standard ATX PSU work here?  For example, the Corsair AX1200i or the EVGA G2 1300?  What are the connectors (PCI-e), or something else?

Thanks again.
3813  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: MinerTechnologies.com - 3 TH/S and 200MH/S ASM1 for sell / Cloud contracts. on: June 07, 2014, 07:55:09 PM
Looking at the specs of the hardware in the first post, are the power consumption numbers you quote based on 220V?  If yes, can you provide what a US consumer might expect on 120V power?

Thanks.
3814  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: MinerTechnologies.com - 3 TH/S and 200MH/S ASM1 for sell / Cloud contracts. on: June 07, 2014, 07:52:08 PM
With the failure of so many hardware companies to produce product, or to meet expected rates and/or power consumption the market needs some new players.  Spondoolies-Tech came onto the scene and produced a great piece of hardware - the SP10.  I own one, and while it screams like a banshee in heat, it produces the advertised hashing rate.  Let's hope Miner Technologies can be just as innovative.
3815  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: [460 TH] p2pool: Decentralized, DoS-resistant, Hop-Proof pool on: June 07, 2014, 04:10:28 PM
I installed p2pool 2 days ago and still no payment.
I see the past two days no block has been found.
I assume today or tomorrow 1 or 2 blocks will be found and get payouts.

Which brings me to the next question.
How many blocks is p2pool is trying to discover at the same time?
No blocks found for 2 days, 8 hours, 37 minutes and 54 seconds as of me writing this.  Expected time to block is 23 hours, 19 minutes, 42 seconds.

It's variance.  On 6/3, p2pool found 4 blocks in 24 hours.

Pretty sure the answer to how many blocks at the same time is exactly like the answer for every other pool: the latest one.

3817  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: P2Pool public node on: June 07, 2014, 03:31:32 PM
Hi,

Running on my own node for 1.2 days at 1.2TH

Local rate:    1.20TH/s (DOA 34.61 GH/s / 3.37%)    Shares:    Total: 12 (Orphan: 1, Dead: 0)

Predicated payout : 0.01577042

seems extremely low for 1.2TH where I was getting over .04 per day on ghash.io

does this seem logical or do I have an obvious issue with my node?

Variance swings on p2pool can be pretty erratic.  You've only been running your node for a day and change.  It takes about 3 days to fully ramp up, so give it some time.  Also, if you were to point to GHash.io, your earnings stop when you shut your miners off.  On p2pool, you'll keep earning as long as you have valid shares in the chain for 3 days after your last share was found.  In other words, assuming you turn off your miners the instant they find a share, that share is valid for 3 more days.

I am sorry i don't know but interested to know like you..

Thanks

It was answered in the very first reply... 125-130 watts.
3819  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: A case study in entry-level mining on: June 07, 2014, 12:45:41 AM
i have read about cloud mining, i am really interested in it now. is that something you would try? looks like you don't have the hassle of building, maintaining, updating a miner, but you can just rent it from those who have comparative advantage: the cloud miners.
look, for example here's a review. https://cloudmining.guru/wp/category/reviews/
the review is even comparing and ranking the existing services.
what do you think?
or is it a dead end? what's the general view on cloud mining services?

They charge you more than you will ever make.
Think about it, why would they sell you a dollar for 75 cents?
You just absolutely perfectly summed up cloud mining.  +1
3820  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] Spondoolies-Tech - Best W/GH/s ratio - Shipping from stock on: June 06, 2014, 01:07:31 PM
@PatMan The word you are looking for is Dutch, ditch refers to a roadside structure.

It doesn´t really make sense for spondoolies to keep offering the sp10 when a much better unit is available.

@spondoolies
Have you decided on the sp30s PSU model yet?

Also, enjoy your weekend.

I was looking to get another SP10 myself, but by the time mid June rolls around there maybe other hardware we can get our hands on, no? Hard t follow everything and don't know what's ever a rumor in other threads either.

You really think there's going to be some new hardware available that nobody's heard about by next week?  Would be a nice surprise, but I doubt it Smiley
