3801  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How can we help bitcoin grow? on: February 03, 2018, 12:49:23 PM
First of all I don't think that regulation will crash Bitcoin. People often mix regulation with centralization and surveillance and that is not the same thing.
Actually regulation could help Bitcoin to grow because businesses would be more keen to accept it because they would feel more protected.
And at the moment you can help Bitcoin by not selling it.
3802  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: .."What is WannaCry ransomware? on: February 03, 2018, 12:00:59 PM
Wanna Cry is not actual anymore, at least not in some biger extend. It's a malicious software from cryptolocker family that encrypts all data on your computer. The bad thing is that there is no way to decript your files unless you get the key. To do that crimials often want to be paid, that is also why is often called ransomware.
Anyway, I strongly suggest to make the back up that is the way to have your files safe and you will not be forced to pay to the criminals.
3803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto currency and it's future in India on: February 02, 2018, 08:26:44 PM
I think that it's too much importance given to India and its influence on Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
India maybe have significant number of inhabitants who are using Bitcoin but still any moves and decisions of Indian government or other authorities can't influence Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies in significant way, not positive or negative.
3804  Economy / Speculation / Re: Keep calm, and take a coffee. A trader said... on: February 02, 2018, 02:33:16 PM
Exactly, don't panic and don't spread panic around, especialy not with false or unconfirmed information.
Such dumps are always the worst period when everyone goes wild and with such aproach many damage is done.
So, yes, I agree, keep calm, take coffee and buy more Bitcoins.  Cheesy
3805  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will be the bottom(for you)? on: February 02, 2018, 12:34:50 PM
I don't have the bottom defined. I don't plan to sell no matter the price. I know this looks very bad to some but remeber that volatility is not something you can influence and that Bitcoin price can change very fast in both ways, much faster then before, so how now is rapidly falling it could also start to rapidly rise.
Anyway, I'm not worried and just can say buy if you have the funds.
3806  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: the most profitable coin if invested? on: February 01, 2018, 05:35:07 PM
No matter what some would say but Bitcoin is still the most profitable coin to invest. The latest drop doesn't change that fact.
Still if you want to diversify your investment, there are some good and reliable coins like Ethereum and Litecoin. But maybe would be also good to do some research and analyze the past tendencies on the market and then choose.
3807  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrencies aren't anonymous anymore on: January 31, 2018, 06:58:34 PM
This is something that I'm saying for a long time now. Bitcoin has lost a great deal of anonimity comparing to early days. Different laws and regulations as well as many investigation techiques, available especialy to law enforcement, made Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies more transparent and more traceable.
But I still beleive as long as you don't misuse them for illegal activities your privacy will be great deal protected but still don't expect to be anonimous.
3808  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin $ 100,000 will be in 2018? on: January 31, 2018, 06:04:16 PM
People, let's be realistic. Bitcoin can rise fast, we have seen that but still some values are exaggerated and have no ground on the current market situation. Although the year long 100k is not easy to reach.
But besides very high price there are some other things that could also attract more users and investors like transactions speed and fees more reasonable.
3809  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin Debit Card, NOT provided by Wave Crest Holdings Ltd. (MyChoice) on: January 31, 2018, 03:29:49 PM
Quote: "You can't send Bitcoins to Revolut and withdraw cash from ATM.And you can't send cash and withdraw to Bitcoins."

-- Yes, I think what most people do is sell their BTC on gdax, then SEPA transfer euros to the Revolut, then either spend or withdraw to their normal bank account.  It's supposed to provide the interbank exchange rate for EUR to GBP for example.

Are there any debit cards that allow you to send your own BTC and load it to the card, then spend in stores, or withdraw cash at ATMs?  I think Spectrocoin (Bankera) may do this - How do their fees compare to other cards?  - https://spectrocoin.com/en/bitcoin-debit-card.html

I think an ideal card shouldn't charge for ATM withdrawals or POS transactions, and ideally there should be no limits on withdrawals or transactions.

If I understood well your question Mistertango is the card you are looking for. You can load it with Bitcoins from your own wallet, exchanger or something, it's exchanged to fiat currency immediately and then you can spend it in stores and on ATM. But still there is limit for monthly ATM withdrawal.
3810  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it wise to hold Bitcoin for a long time or sell to meet a need of life? on: January 31, 2018, 11:09:22 AM
From my point of view combination of these two options is the best.
There is no point of just holding Bitcoin without using in real life and have some pratical use of it. On the other hand experience has shown that holding Bitcoin for long term is profitable but everyone has to find it's own balance how much to spend and how much to hold.
3811  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this new crash very bad on: January 30, 2018, 07:32:10 PM
First of all this is not a crash. Correction of few hundred dollars can't be called crash and certainly isn't a reason to worry and to panic. Situation that we have seen many times before.
Everyone who can should use this opportunity to buy cheaper coins now for biger future profit.
3812  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin could drop 80% due to possible tether fraud, experts say on: January 30, 2018, 01:37:10 PM
Again some "experts" have something very "smart" to say.
I stopped to read such things long time ago because often it doesn't have any connection with real situation and often this opinions or conclusions are deliberately set to fit one option and create public opinion against cryptocurrencies or in most cases to create panic on the market and lack of trust among users.
Don't take such news for real.
3813  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bounty programs illegal in US??? on: January 30, 2018, 08:55:15 AM
It's hard to get the whole picture out of this information but I think this is not aimed against bounty programs but it's about one particular case and probably some misuse that has happened. So I don't think this is something to panic and currently also can't see any connection to bounty campaigns or bad influence on them.
3814  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Why don't people realize the problems with cloud mining? on: January 29, 2018, 09:13:43 PM
When it comes to money people could be very blind, thinking only about profit and not considering consequences. But they often forget there is no easy money and no such thing as free lunch.
Despite all warnings and bad experiences people still don't want to beleive they could be easily scamed on cloud mining. But I guess the greed is stronger than common sense.
3815  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin to 3rd world countries on: January 29, 2018, 09:44:02 AM
I could agree that Bitcoin could be some kind of help for third world countries and way of income for some poor people there.
But first some conditions for that are necessary, like good internet connection, at least some technical equipement and at least basic knowledge about technologies. Is all that available for people there?
And if they had that already they would be also able to find some other jobs.
3816  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how to create and sell your own crypto on: January 28, 2018, 08:11:35 PM
You have to know that creating your own coin doesn't have to mean that you will make money.
So many different coins appears all the time but not all of them are successful, many of them fail.
I suggest to do good research before you get involved in something like this, because you could invest a lot and don't get anything. There is no guarantee that market will be interested in your coin.
3817  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is CEX.IO a scam? on: January 28, 2018, 07:57:53 PM
I tried to register for a service but seems this is not possible. The message appears, registration of new users is temporarily disabled. Is there any particular reason for that?
But on the other hand now that I read about all this scam accusations I'm having the second thoughts.
3818  Economy / Economics / Re: What is the most influential factor that triggers bitcoin prices to fall down? on: January 28, 2018, 05:54:46 PM
No matter that some users think the external factors like politics, governments and bank announcements or some conspiracy theories connected to whales and similar are crucial for Bitcoin price, this doesn't influence the price in significant way.
To my opinion, like many here, it's about pure economy, supply and demand is the most important factor that defines the price.
3819  Economy / Exchanges / Re: A working cryto debit card? on: January 27, 2018, 11:58:25 PM
Just to share my experience with Mistertango.
I use it for couple of days now and the card is working fine, it's accepted everywhere so I'm happy with that.
Still I'm not happy at all with Bitcoin exchange rate. Currently the price at Bitstamp is around 11000$ and Mistertango is exchanging at lower than 9000$. This is not fair.
That is the reason that Xapo was much better and you didn't have to exchange your coins immediately, especialy not at such unfavourable rate.
So I hope that Xapo will be able to provide Bitcoin cards with new provider very soon.

probably is better to exchange bitcoins on another exchange (kraken? Bitstamp?) and then recharge the card with a wire transfer?

Is there another service besides Cex.io which lets you deposit crypto, exchange for FIAT and then withdraw it to ordinary VISA/MASTERCARD?

About Mistertango fee, terrible exchange rate, it s better to use Virvox to Paypal, that is at least only 10%.

I would also like to know if there is some other similar service like Cex.io. You can't open account with them anymore, you get the message that registration of new users is temporary suspended. Why is that for?
What about Skrill, do they offer possibility to fund the account with Bitcoins and then withdraw to a card?
3820  Economy / Exchanges / Re: A working cryto debit card? on: January 27, 2018, 07:24:58 PM
I'm using ePayments card right now, they work with MasterdCard.
They support BTC, BCH, ETH, LTC and BTG! Low fees, user-friendly app for iOS and Android!
A lot of features available! Recommended
https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@antikru/epayments-your-new-crypto-currency-debit-mastercard

You have been using this card after Wavecrest shut down and it works?

Maybe it's still working because it's a MasterCard. Some say they still are in business with Wave Crest but if this is true the question is for how long and when the issues with them will start too.
Anyway, I hope Bitcoin debit cards will soon become available in much biger choice and some new reliable provider will appear.
