I just took took a look at the early pages of this thread. Everyone was constructive and positive. Adam wasn't drunk. This really is the post-apocalyptic WO-thread. No wonder there are so many doomsday preppers here. He moved a ton of drugs, that'll happen. At least in the US. So does the United States Postal Service. I think Mr Ulbricht was a greedy, unworldly prick who was either too arrogant or too stupid to think through what he was actually doing.
Had he been linking drug consumers directly with poppy and coca farmers and chemists then that's something to applaud. All he was doing was facilitating the existing misery rained down on the poor saps caught up in the drug manufacture and supply chain.
That being said, life in prison is a fucking ludicrous sentence.
Most european countries have sentences based on scientific theories, americans just want the pain. I think you're taking the tweet a little bit too seriously The consequences of somebody getting old. I'm not THAT old, but well...  The "post-apocalyptic wasteland" is a joke, he was probably referring to the fact that some bitcoiners hope for a total collapse of the dollar, of the stock market, of fiat in general and think that everybody would suddenly buy a ultravolatile, ultrarisky, not-really-scalable experimental digital version of gold as a consequence If the fiat system collapses, BTC will be the last thing people are gonna think of. If BTC is ever gonna survive and succeed, it's definitely not as a replacement of fiat, that's just delusional r/bitcoin stuff.  Nevermind. I don't believe that BTC will replace anything short-term or mid-term. I'd say the most possible scenario would be a co-existence with the current monetary infrastructure. How epidermic or deepened this will be, this is left as an exercise to the reader. FWIW though, I strongly suggest to anyone I know, that it's better to be unorthodoxically prepared, than not be prepared at all. That includes -and not isolated to- a fair amount of BTCs "just in case". You really are old. Taylor Swift is the new David Bowie. |

In that sort of situation owning a pig would make you the equivalent of a millionaire. It might be wise to sell some Bitcoins and invest in a pig as a hedge against an apocalypse.
Since pigs will become scarcer and scarcer as they get eaten, stolen, or run away, you should hodl your pig and never eat it or exchange it for anything. Imagine what you could barter for a whole pig.
You could barter it for a packet of wet swipes and half a pig. Since pigs are going to increase in value exponentially, that would only delay your entry to the Buffett Club by a few days. At the buffet club they have pig, lamb, beef, chicken, duck, fish...salad bar, they have a little bit of everything, it is all just laid out there, waiting for a fat bastard to come along and eat. qe? what? who? |

Still going sideways +/- a couple a dollars either way. I think I might stop checking the price several times daily soon if this carries on We really have reached a stand still haven't we. There must be a move bubbling up under the surface soon, there simply must be. A whale is going to get frustrated soon and dump or buy a shit load of coins. If you look at the price in euro it's even more flat. At least the usd drop gave us an illusion of excitement. |

You can milk a pig. Anything with nipples can be milked. I've got nipples... Males can be coaxed into producing milk by pulling your nipples around but maybe a hormone or two would help as well. I can't imagine your milk would be that nutritious but it could be a nice sideline once society has fallen. Imagine the loyalty you would engender from your idiot minions if you breastfed them. While we still have a society it could be a nice little earner if you set up a streamium channel to charge for squirting milk at your webcam. There's a fun summer project for you. Nah, I have a different project already. I've heard bull sperm is the most expensive liquid in the world. My freezer is filling up pretty fast so I just have to find out where I can sell it. |
