3801  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-12-14]Ukraine Considers Blockchain as an Effective Means of Fighting Corru on: December 16, 2018, 08:51:16 AM
Did anyone read the actual article? It says, " Ukraine is planning to issue its own cryptocurrency called the e-hryvnia " ..so this is just another GovCoin that are linked to their own reserve currency. <Direct competition for Bitcoin>  Roll Eyes

It is also not a public coin and it is controlled by their government. So how can a coin that are controlled by a government, stop corruption? They can just manipulate the Blockchain that are controlled by them.  Roll Eyes
Ah, I didn't actually click the link (read the article), if that's the case then that country will be full of corrupt officials if that plan will be finalized or even after it will be released.
3802  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coimarket.com alt coin (coins) daily volume is a fake? on: December 16, 2018, 08:07:03 AM
I shared with them my suspicions regarding possible data manipulation, gave them the name of exchange and coin.
Now, what evidence do they want me to collect? Take a screen recording and send it to them? And then what?  They will have to double check it anyway, so there is no point for me of sending them any "evidence".
It's because ordinarily, from the largest market cap website they probably received lots of reports/complaints with/without proofs. And screenshots/recordings from yours at the time of inaccuracy of data will differ from the time they will check the report(s) so that's why any services with such issue will ask for some evidence from the correspondent.
If you really care for something like that happened then you have to give such statements, else...
3803  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium now has full Segwit support on: December 16, 2018, 07:01:19 AM
Earlier I just sent a small amount to one of my bech32 address from my segwit (P2SH) and the remaining amount in my p2sh address automatically transferred to segwit native (bech32). I wonder how it happened Undecided
How many UTXOs did you have in your original P2SH address? Huh If you only had the one unspent output, then the whole thing would have needed to be spent even when sending "a small amount" and then I suspect what has happened is that Mycelium has returned your change to a bech32 change address... rather than creating a new P2SH change address (or returning the change to the original address).

What I mean here is, when I send the small amount from p2sh (from imported private key) to some of my bech32 address, in the tx, mycelium returns my change to the bech32 address of the p2sh address and you're right. I know mycelium can automatically generate the p2sh to bech32 or vice versa but this thing doesn't mentioned in their update  Undecided
3804  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: malwarebytes detecting trojan on bitmain.com on: December 16, 2018, 05:54:53 AM
It's either a false positive, or your computer itself is infected.
This might the reason, I use Norton and browse the site of bitmain but didn't detect any malicious malware there.

[EDIT]
I search the o7tnsxhoh.qnssl.com subdomain and the google resulted that this sud-domain and bitmain is kinda related (if I'm not mistaken).

Here's the image of some in of their layout related js. And your anti-virus might detected it as a malware coz the o7tnsxhoh.qnssl.com subdomain doesn't exist or down already.

3805  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: How to open Nibble wallet. on: December 16, 2018, 05:34:02 AM

I read something about an EOS casino claiming to be the first provably fair online casino, this is a lie. Are there any comparing statistics of usage of all the different dApp casino's?
Coz you can't see any catch phrases of any blockchain startup that will introduce their name as the second or third blablabla expect they always the first.
3807  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin - Blockchain and the dream of new money on: December 15, 2018, 06:32:13 PM
Good video indeed.

This video shows the good side and bad side (frauds/schemes/scams) of using this technology, shows how bitcoin works, how poor will be helped with some blockchain company mentioned there, the overseas workers as using this tech as an alternative for remittances, and mostly its only explained as a work of money (sending and receiving).

But the only thing is it never explained how people will secure their money while using this tech since this is kinda target of hackers.
3808  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-12-14]Samsung Motivated to Launch Crypto Cold Wallet in Upcoming Galaxy S1 on: December 15, 2018, 05:21:44 PM
Well, in some articles that were published before the article in the OP has, it's being said that samsung denies about the rumors.

Samsung Dismisses Galaxy S10 Crypto Wallet Reports as ‘Rumor and Speculation’
Despite registering trademarks, Samsung denies building a blockchain phone

And even if they do, it's hilarious, I don't know if some crypto guy will do buy that one for having a so-called cold wallet in a smartphone.
3809  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-12-14]Ukraine Considers Blockchain as an Effective Means of Fighting Corru on: December 15, 2018, 01:37:57 PM
Well, everything related in government from election to audits and etc. blockchain is really a helpful one all due because of its work of transparency and to its append-only data structure nothing can be changed once submitted.

Does this update work with compatible hardware wallets? Can you access your Trezor's or Ledger's SegWit accounts? I guess I am going to stick with Samourai despite their strange decisions.
Yeah, I just did. But never tried to sent any amount from ledger segwit account, I assumed it will do since it just connected.
3811  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Who is the developer for the bitcoin.com wallet? on: December 15, 2018, 05:25:25 AM
Did they get confused by "Bitcoin Cash" and "Bitcoin Core?"
Probably this is the issue his friend's facing, I guess.

To OP please clarify what your friends issue here, if its related to technical, then bitcoin.com only can help him, but I'm afraid if they do.
3812  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium now has full Segwit support on: December 15, 2018, 05:04:28 AM
You can switch between legacy, p2sh and bech32 to receive and send.
re.
Seems this is not working or just me? There's no option to switch back to legacy since one of my wallets was once in legacy only to p2sh and bech32.

3813  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Coimarket.com alt coin (coins) daily volume is a fake? on: December 14, 2018, 02:05:22 PM
You're correct this is only one of the many altcoins that manipulate their numbers on coinmarketcap. You can find more by viewing all then click the 24 hour volume another example is FSBT also traded on exrates.
Yeah, I observed this too, I guess that was weeks ago. I have that token and never sold it yet.

But as mentioned, too many exchanges listed on coinmarketcap and it's too hard for them to check those sites one by one not unless if someone reported if there's some anomaly.

And this incident not only happens this time, but it also happened before and it will still happen in the future, primarily with the fallacious api from different exchanges that CMC or any crypto market cap website accepts and calculate to display on their site.
3814  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Hardware Wallet(Ledger) for BTC, LTC, DGB, KMD, XTZ, AION and ZILLA on: December 14, 2018, 01:23:44 PM
In Magnum, to store your private keys you can use both the Ledger device and a backup file which is used to encrypt the private keys. Your wallets from Ledger are available as watch-only at any time, therefore Magnum is pretty convenient in case you don't hold all your crypto on Ledger. It's available to store no more than 3-4 coins on Ledger since it has not so much memory so I suppose not so many people use only Ledger.
Most people that matter their security use ledger Hardware wallet or any HW. Holding x numbers of coin in a hardware wallet doesn't matter, security does. Also, there's nothing new with the wallet you're introducing from the existing ones.

BTW, does Ledger work with Android devices?
Yes, mycelium does but only for bitcoin though.
3815  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Anyone here active on musing.io? on: December 14, 2018, 12:46:53 PM
The site seems new to me but same as Steemit, groups of some individual will take advantage of this paid system since the rate is based on upvotes if I'm not mistaken.

And $30 per week as you said 30 minutes a day which you probably handle it for 210 minutes or 3.5 hours a week which is not bad.

Btw I just connect my steemit account just now. Cheesy

No one cares of the so-called 'expert' in analyzing the market all they do is speculate from nothing. Some of them will say btc will reach 5 digits or even 6 digits before the year-end but still struggling in 4 figures between 3-4k.

But based on the news, fuds, defective US regulators obviously bears will still continue and no one knows when it will bloom again, just majority expecting it will happen by next year and so be it.

I just saw their post on their facebook page, and yup, may angpao na nga, highest reward nakita ko is +1k ata so di na rin masama, just first come first serve basis lang talaga.

Just because naka labeled na instant ang payment/withdraw option in coins it doesn't mean na it's instant all the time, may time na umabot ng ilang minutes to hour(s) due to server error. Pero most of the time talaga it's instant, same sa egc before, in gcash or even in cebuana.

I see no sufficient review(s) about this shop on any decent websites only on cryptocompare (where you can leave a review anytime as long as you have registered on the site), and as a matter of fact, it's only a newly made website which I might be cautious when buying such site. And most miner shops except its main source (bitmain) is highly a scam website, if not, then they sold defective ones.
