3801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: DENT COIN....????? on: July 10, 2020, 12:32:48 PM
Who would thought dogecoin will pump?

It's not the end for DENT yet, for those who still believe on the project, it's high time to accumulate now since it's still very cheap and thus far it still has some good volume. Binance still owns the biggest trading volume for this coin, so it's a guarantee that liquidity is not a problem when there's good news to hype.
3802  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoin market speculation ?? on: July 10, 2020, 10:45:57 AM
In fact, Covid-19 does not affect the crypto market and it makes this market a lot better so any investment in this period is also good for you to hold. I think it is possible for ETH to reach $300 in a short time as the value of many large coins is on the rise. However, any time you should have a plan in advance because if not prepared you will certainly face great risks.
the crypto market might look fine and better. but if the situation of this pandemic never existed, I'm sure the market will be much better. halving events that failed I think there is one of them due to this plague. we should be grateful because, in a situation like now, I think crypto traders can still get income.
Income depends on what you do.

In general, the market still exist so if you are working, you can still cash out your salary, same if you are trading as the liquidity is still good.
What would be affected if there's a recession are those long term investors since the market is very unpredictable and we know crypto market is somewhat correlated to our economic situation, so when people will struggle, it's not possible the market will also struggle.
3803  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Philippines SEC warns against crypto investment. on: July 10, 2020, 10:19:18 AM
That's true, cryptocurrency is a ban from the Philippines, they are still not into cryptocurrency, I don't know the reason but for sure its a government's decision but there are still many people who are still using it for some online transactions, even though crypto is a ban from some transactions, there are still many people who are still using it for transactions, there are still many people who are using it for some crypto activities, like trading and investing. Actually using cryptocurrency is good but there are still many people who think that when you talk about cryptocurrency it is automatically scam, they don't even give time to put the effort into searching about the legitimacy of it.

I don't think it says they are banning the use of crypto. They are just giving a warning regarding crypto investments. I think it is only precautionary measures as a lot of people don't have any prior knowledge when it comes to crypto. PH is one of the countries that is allowing crypto exchanges to be registered in the CEZA area.

https://ceza.gov.ph/article/48-crypto-exchanges-approved-philippines

Obviously @KrisAlex18 is wrong because crypto was never ban in the Philippines, in fact, Philippines is one of the country which are called a crypto friendly country, a third world country but they are adopting in crypto and because the government regulated it, they are benefiting from it.
3804  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto success takes time on: July 10, 2020, 09:36:49 AM
People don't want to give projects some time to grow, they forget that coins like dash, litecoin, Xmr, Bitcoin etc have a rough start, I'm just saying crypto investment takes years, just because a project drop in value doesn't mean they won't grow better in future.

Projects don't just turn huge in a year, there will be lots of volatility and price loss, for long term hold be prepared, if you can't then go for top coins

Not only crypto success, but success generally takes time before it reflects on the outside world; it could be as a pay rise, or wage rise, or massive return on investment. But because success takes time does not give us the preference that every crypto projects will be a success. Some projects would never work out irrespective of the time dedicated to make it work.

That's given, just as similar to the traditional world, some businesses will succeed, some will fall and success is also not forever, sometimes a business could also fall in the long run. Crypto IMO is still in the early stage, there's still a lot or big potential for the market to grow, so I believe that even if it will take time but I'm confident we are all heading to success as long as we invest on bitcoin.

For altcoins, this market has the biggest failed projects or scam projects, but of course in the long run, those who will survive and legit projects will certainly enjoy the altcoin season or the bullish season.
3805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: how big? on: July 09, 2020, 10:56:54 AM
Some can say Billion while others trillion but as what you said we can only estimate so still you can agree in one while others will oppose.

It could be billion but it can't be trillion because crypto casinos cannot be bigger than the popular fiat online casinos and sportsbook .

here's some figure on online gambling market in US alone, we can use this as a reference as per report, USA had the biggest market.

3806  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Do you feel safe going outside? on: July 09, 2020, 10:20:14 AM
I don't feel safe that's why I just choose to stay at home.

Well, sometimes I have no option but to go out since I have to buy for our food, but every time I go out, I also follow the protocol which is to observe social distancing and wearing of mask. Our health is very valuable and our money as well, if we get infected that entails money again that we have to spend and its not good to spend at this time that the economy are not doing good.
3807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 09, 2020, 08:14:05 AM
Embiid is not a kind of player that could provide consistent offense to the team, he can be doubled and IIRC, there's one man that can stop him, and that is Mark Gasol. We can all see in this video - Toronto Raptors Breakdown - ALL-DEFENSE: How they held Joel Embiid to ZERO points & beat the Sixers!

Great video, it tells that Embiid is wrong, it's the first time he was scoreless in his career as an NBA player, great job by Gasol here, he doesn't need to score but it's important he can stop Embiid. Brilliant coaching job by Nick Nurse.

We got news!

Nice move by the Nets here.

Undermanned Nets signing Jamal Crawford, nearing deal with Michael Beasley

Good to know that Crawford is not done yet.

I like him when he was still playing with the Clippers, as reserved, he can contribute quality minutes to the team.

His stats says that he is very consistent with the Clippers team - https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/c/crawfja01.html

This news is even so cute - Former Clipper Jamal Crawford to Sign with Brooklyn Nets

It dd not recognize the two teams Crawford has previously played.
3808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The return of ICOs on: July 09, 2020, 07:49:04 AM
We all see that, in fact I haven't seen good ICO or successful ICO at the moment and most ICO who were successfully raise a good amount during its popularity are now slowly losing its market.
unfortunately what is happening right now is as you say. some who say success at IEO just disappear in the market and they seem to lose investor support. I guess they are just manipulating the sales that are happening.
It's possible because in the end, the money will just still go in their wallet and they are always in control with it.
Not only in IEO, I think manipulation is happening more during the times of the popularity of IEO as there are projects that can raise $100 million or more but it does not even give the investors a good sign that the project is progressing or eventually they will just disappear.

Sometimes figure is use as an enticing factors to investors, so we need to be careful.
3809  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The return of ICOs on: July 09, 2020, 06:09:01 AM
I think if the cryptocurrency market returns to its previous state, the ICO will also return.
I don't think so, we IEO, I think this one will gain more investors as lowly people are forgetting the ICO.

Currently the cryptocurrency situation is very bad so the ICOs are scared. So I think if the market is good then different companies will come back again.
We all see that, in fact I haven't seen good ICO or successful ICO at the moment and most ICO who were successfully raise a good amount during its popularity are now slowly losing its market.

This one is still my favorite, still listening to it from time to time especially when I feel bored.

3811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 09, 2020, 05:26:33 AM
Whining every now and then, if i have a say with the Sixers team, i would ship him out and replace him with a talented and non-vocal one  Grin.

Others might see him as a boastful player but I will choose Embiid to stay with the team. I'd rather ship out Ben Simmons and find another PG to be pair with Embiid. Smiley Simmons is a valuable player to trade and Sixers will get good players in return. Only few big men remain dominant today so I will pick Embiid to stay.

Believed it or not, he is the only Sixers that playing with heart. Remember that when they lose to Raptors last playoffs, it looks like an end of the day to him and literally cried on that loss. Sixers is more on relying on perimeter and inside offense. That's what they need to focus on it and Embiid is the best player to put on that role.

But of course, it doesn't mean that even he will be the main offense, others will not step up.

We are talking of $170M contract here.

https://bleacherreport.com/articles/2843932-ben-simmons-76ers-agree-on-5-year-170m-max-contract-extension

That's a huge amount and if they will trade him, they can get good outside shooters in return I guess.

With Ben Simmons  offense and defense talent, he is very valuable to the team, that's the reason he was given a max contract by the 76ers.
However, it doesn't mean that it will already make the team successful, chemistry is really the most important for the team to be successful for the 76ers to have that, they need to ship a player ruining the chemistry of the team, it could be either Embiid or Simmons.

Here's their stats.

3812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can we still enjoy the anonymity in gambling in the long run? on: July 08, 2020, 11:32:08 AM
Quote
What we are enjoy now is an "anonymous gambling" is very satisfying to us, but will it be in danger when the market is fully regulated?

To express my personal opinion, I think that anonymity is not fully protected even in today's conditions. I think there will be no anonymity, especially when online casino services are becoming more popular and more popular.
As long as we don't give our information to them and yet we are still allowed to gamble, I believe we are doing an anonymous gambling.
In terms of IP address, we can always hide that using VPN services, so we can always keep our anonymity 100%.

As I mentioned, I think that even though there is no regulation today, the services we use do not happen in the future as I think that our identity or other information is not stored anonymously. In addition, we should not forget the fact that this process we are talking about is not very far away.

It might come sooner or later, we never know as I'm pretty sure that the government are also watching us, they are just waiting for the right timing to implement or still making the right regulation on how to treat crypto casinos, with regulation, it makes gives them a boost of their taxes, so there is no reason they will not touch us.
3813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Physical Casinos Decoded : on: July 08, 2020, 10:59:47 AM
Besides, If one goes to casino pretty sure one can loss money a lot but with online games one can spend little by little depending on how you want to play since you have the control over your bet and most of gambling platform had no minimum bet even cents could dovin betting.

Pretty controversial moment. When you go to a physical casino you have a certain amount of money on hand, after losing that you will either have to go for a new amount or stop the game.

When you play in an online casino, all your money is with you, and in theory you can gamble until you spend it all. Being at home is too great a temptation to recoup, and making a deposit will take all a couple of minutes.

It's almost the same, and it's just really up to you.

Even if you are not in a land based casino and you are just gambling at home, you can still lose millions of dollars if have access to your bank account.

When you play alone, that's where you will easily get tempted especially if you don't have the discipline, but if you are in a casino, at least some people might be watching you and can give you some advise.
3814  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: July 07, 2020, 12:24:46 PM
Chandler Parsons got the biggest contract in the list, so probably that's worst.

This is the news pertaining to that figure.
https://www.espn.com/nba/story/_/id/16679527/chandler-parsons-agrees-max-deal-memphis-grizzlies

and his stats was very disappointing ,

https://www.basketball-reference.com/players/p/parsoch01.html

His best times in basketball was with the Rockets, probably injuries are the main reason on the drop of stats.
3815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Snipie's gambling investment test on: July 07, 2020, 10:00:54 AM
The negative trends is continuing those days. LTC investment plunged again but also BTC investors continued to lose their funds. Hard days for us investors by lucky whales Sad
I also saw my profits slowly withering away as days go by Cheesy.

Not affected on it TBH. Like I always said, I've seen crypto going up and down already so this is not new for me Cheesy. I knew it already that investing in a Gambling site takes time to have some profits. Not all gamblers are losing their money anyway. There will be some who will come out lucky and will get our profits away Cheesy.

This is correct that not every day will be same and investing in gambling site just like others have the risk and one should be ready to bear those risk. Though it generally does not happen that easily but once a while a lucky whale wins big and thus results into losses for the investors who had invested such sites. Anyways in longer term this will yield you profits its only matter of time.

Try to see it through a bigger picture, if there are casinos out there that got bankrupt because whales hit big time, then it's right to believe that they are a threat, but there's none, because casinos have limits and they know what they are doing, they don't need to win all the time but they will certainly win most of the time.
3816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The return of ICOs on: July 07, 2020, 09:45:43 AM
I still see some successful ICOs in raising funds, but it does not help investors to be profitable. When listed in exchanges, its price drops several times and disappoints many investors
Because raising funds is not enough, we have a lot of ICOs in the past that raise over $100 million but they are nowhere to be found now or they are already inactive, so how much more a project that raises a small amount and they want to be successful in this tough crypto market times.
3817  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can you hide your identity with bitcoin? (100%) on: July 06, 2020, 06:32:35 AM
I'm not an expert here but I believe it would be hard to trace our IP though the blockchain is very transparent, we can still be anonymous as long as we don't use a centralized platform like an exchange where we need to comply with the KYC requirement.

one proof that IP cannot be trace is the fact that we can't trace who owns the biggest holders of bitcoins or what we called the whales.
3818  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: COVID19 and Its effect on Bitcoin & Altcoin Price? Your Thoughts ! on: July 06, 2020, 06:11:29 AM
when Covid19 appeared, all stock prices and of course the crypto currency had a terrible dump that occurred in march, but for the crypto currency recovery was very fast, and became a good investment this year

Crypto as such as not taken that hit which stock markets have gone through as it has fallen badly due to pandemic situation across the globe. Also , people would have moved their investment for the falling stock market to crypto and this would have given the push and also helped crypto to not fall much or to recover from the fallen price.

True, crypto is quite stable despite of the pandemic that cause an economic collapse to some countries.
Bitcoin is still surviving, at the current price now which is $9K, this is quite a good price compared to the price it dump earlier this year.

I think bitcoin will not anymore dropped this year and my best guess is that it will stay at least $10k by the end of the year.
But of course, no effect positively for altcoins.

Kevin Durant looks good guys, he is Dunkin already, look like he has fully recovered from injury, but don't expect him in the NBA's restart as he is still not available.
