3801  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: the halving will end the downtrend of the last price circle on: May 19, 2020, 12:55:32 PM
Yeah, its better for I am holding some altcoins too.
But, for what exchange?

Reason behind a sudden pump of altcoin could be investors selling bitcoin for it.
Would you like that idea?
Will they release another wave of money just to buy an altcoin? I doubt that.
3802  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: May 19, 2020, 10:16:20 AM
In 10 - 20 years than might double the price or maybe more. As long as the authenticity is safe then he will have no problem at all.
Unless some scandal happens, price will most certainly  go up. Sports memorabilia is usually good investment, and due inflation by keeping cash all you do is loose money, and in let's say 20 years, it will add up to decent amount.
Scandal means, Jordan dying with unnatural cause?  Grin Knock on wood.
I still think it will. That is something that tells history of basketball.
Someone out there would want that someday, maybe to donate in a museum if he is too damn rich.

I tried to not read the last part of your posts Rika.
My instincts tell me that it will be another spoiler from the first line of it.  Grin
No worries, there are no spoilers there, just an anecdote from 1998.
Oh thank God!
It's because of this which is why I didn't continue reading.  Grin
I just finished watching last 2 episodes of the documentary,

You're lucky to watch it live. I didn't.  Cry
During that Finals series, we had to go on high school trip and stay at some crappy bungalows for 4 days, and that would mean missing out on 2 games. 6-7 of us that were really into NBA wanted to cancel the trip, but since it was already paid, parents forced us to go.  So in order to watch those games ( I think game 2 and game 3), one friend brought with him small portable 10" TV that he took from his grandpa. Improvise, adapt and overcome!
3803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: May 19, 2020, 01:41:47 AM
Almost freaking 4 times the expected auction price.
Wow! A big WOW!
https://nypost.com/2020/05/17/michael-jordan-game-worn-air-jordans-sell-for-record-560000/
Damn, that's crazy price, but is also smart decision by seller, The Last Dance generated a lot of hype around MJ once again. Since he bought those sneakers back in 2012, he probably made a nice profit on them. Buyer probably sees it as an investment, as those things are usually  bought for that purpose.

A wise move to the buyer too.
Buy it while its cheap.

AN old school type of scamming..  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Yeah, who is stupid enough to believe this sh*t.

Quote
With the massively popular series, “The Last Dance,” bringing renewed focus to the basketball icon’s career, a pair of autographed game-worn sneakers from Jordan’s 1984-85 rookie season were sold on Sunday for a record $560,000, bringing in about four times as much money as Sotheby’s anticipated.

Yeah, that's what I am talking about.
This will be displayed in the living room with full protection from dust.  Grin
3806  Economy / Speculation / Re: Some Interesting pump in BTC on: May 18, 2020, 11:37:01 AM
It's a good theory.
Maybe they are trying to escape the loss of large amount of money and they will use crypto currencies as an escape goat.
It could happen. But what about next?
When everything calms down and everything is the right path again, are we going to lose its value once again?
I don't like to see that kind of future.
Should we also abuse that movement if ever we have facts to prove that it will happen?

Tracking NBA teams who have opened up practice facilities

The NBA has had practices open since to voluntary workouts since May 8. Not all teams have re-opened practice facilities but there’s expected to be 22 or so teams practicing by next week.

https://dknation.draftkings.com/nba/2020/5/17/21261648/nba-season-2020-return-date-tracker-teams-practicing-workouts-updates-coronavirus-covid-19
More good news.
That's cool!
I think I have already updated about the Portland opening also here in this thread weeks ago.
They are letting 5 players only for moderation.
Of course they will bring some cameraman and their trainers and that is why they will just let enough.

Perhaps they changed it now, it had been 10 days already since the announcement.
3808  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is the best stablecoin right now? on: May 18, 2020, 07:34:35 AM
USD as the popular currency all over the world.
USDT of course in the crypto currency field.

I guess that is the real purpose of it.
They will acquire a lot of supporters by using the name which had been famous for a long time.
And now look at it just moving in cents from $1. We could conclude that the experiment is successful.  Grin
3809  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: There's something Satoshi didn't think of. on: May 18, 2020, 05:02:32 AM
You really think he don't know that?
Once it got value he took off. He knew his job was done and it will all depend on us.

About the mining thing though. I understand only a little about it.
First the difficulty is high because there is a lot of miners out there.
If they all yield then new miners will come. Guess how much the difficulty will be?  Wink
3810  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: May 18, 2020, 04:17:21 AM
I personally feel like basketball talent has this subjective part that you could both agree to disagree but also has a level where its stupid. When you say something like Gary Payton was a better player at his peak than Lebron at his peak, thats stupid, thats not subjective in my eye and that's biased, however if you say Mj is better than Lebron or say Lebron is better than MJ that is understandable, you do not have to agree with that person but you could understand why they think that way.

So if you know the level, if you know the small gap between these players, you would understand why one seen above the other. Do not say stuff like I would take Brad Miller over Shaq Cheesy. But you could say I would take Kobe over Lebron, its those type of things that make the arguments fun as well.

Cool!  Grin
It could be base on positions too?

Jason Kidd over Jason Williams or Russell Westbrook but it cannot be against Steve Nash.
Steve Nash don't do rebounds and yet he is a 2 time MVP. Nash and Steph Curry maybe? Freethrow percentage almost the same. Both 2 time season MVP. Possible. But I like Steve Nash more (Suns) even though they didn't get a championship. That was a fun team to watch.

Could also be stats basis.
3811  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin exceed 20k this year like in 2017? on: May 17, 2020, 03:22:47 PM
I can't say it is a full form.
It didn't even go back there.
Unlike the 12k-13k mark it lasted for months before it goes back down.
20k lasted for what? Days?

I won't expect too much right now if I were you. You can see in this forum, the situation.
There are more expectations for atcoins rather than bitcoin even if it just went after a halving.
3812  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: May 17, 2020, 02:05:19 PM
A good example is GSW. There is so much hate now that is surrounding against them.
I don't know the reasons behind that. All that effort and hard work and still you cannot please everyone.
The only thing that people like more than seeing underdogs win is to see the best teams fail, these things go together. GSW have  been dominating for a few years, and people simply got sick of it, but it escalated only after they got Durant, that's when the real hatred started. People want to see best players playing against each other, not all of them together in one team. I must admit that I was a bit disappointed as well when i heard they got Durant, after loosing against Cavaliers in the final.
Same here, man. But I couldn't blame KD for he has his own reason. Perhaps he must be tired on getting a ring with OKC so he find an easy way to get it.
But I am happy now that at least he ain't in bad terms with Westbrook anymore.

It was getting along with Westbrook.
It's obvious that WB want the spotlight. Is he a sharing person? I don't know.
But maybe not.
He was the first one that I've seen which was obviously stat padding.
Counting every shot every assists and rebounds.
Who does that? You are busy making plays and trying to win and yet you are counting?  Grin

Durant made his choice and it was for his own good.
Now, I think he is not yet satisfied with that and want to win on his own.
Sounds good to me, he needs to prove it though.
3813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coins for 2020 on: May 17, 2020, 12:02:24 PM
This better be in Altcoin discussion rather than here.
Posted it in BTC discussion with doubts?

Of course my first choice would always be the King.  Wink
But in this pandemic I need to create profit or else I would get broke after this virus is gone.
I am rooting for Ethereum which is next. I have high hopes that it could rise once again when POS is implemented.

3814  Economy / Economics / Re: The unfortunate event that is Quarantine. on: May 17, 2020, 10:31:09 AM
It's better than being dead.
We value life and nothing is more important than that.

What is the use of having a government or economy if there is no one living in it?
We can still get up from all this pandemic and economic fall if there is still life.
3815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: May 17, 2020, 08:53:30 AM

Yeah, and there are also the bandwagon types.
Again, the example of that is GSW.
Suddenly, there are so much fans of that crew while years ago they don't even know sh*t about that team.  Grin
You talking about me, lol...
Haha, no I dont think so. Why? Let us see...

I love the underrated player, Kawhi might not an underrated for some but I don't see the kind of respect Lebron got from Leonard when in fact they are both equal or Leonard could even be a better player between the two.

It is not being a bandwagon type.
I love underrated players too and we want to support them.
Going against what the mass loves more. My kind of bad habit, or maybe good.
Someone who is not being talked much but yet he got his proofs on his history. Yeah, one of those is Kawhi.
How about Draymond Green?
If we talk about teams, I go for Denver, have less fans. Again, with my habit.
3816  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Some good Dex Exchanges on: May 17, 2020, 05:34:54 AM
Wow! I didn't know forkdelta still have that amount in volume.
I forgot that website years ago.  Grin
I still prefer Idex than them for the user friendly UI but look at the volume. It really in bad shape.

I didn't know about the other, might as well try it later specially that Deversifi and WhaleEx.
Is there a country restriction for this?

3817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: May 17, 2020, 03:31:05 AM

Exactly, I watched Jordan while I was very young and appreciate his game and admire him as a player, I watched Kobe while I was in highschool and loved the way he plays as I understand the game of basketball. Then, I watched LeBron during my college days and liked his type of game. Critics were normal, but discrediting them for what they have accomplished and achievements is a straight disrespectful, considering how hard they trained since day 1.

Indeed.
It is when you are on the top, the media starts to put you down and try to get the 50 percent chance that some fans will believe in it.
A good example is GSW. There is so much hate now that is surrounding against them.
I don't know the reasons behind that. All that effort and hard work and still you cannot please everyone.

People respect players but people just have their own favorite players in NBA, it doesn't matter how they train,  we don't see it, what we see is them playing in the court and how they give a win on their respective team, it's normal for players to receive a lot of criticism or praise because as a fan, we are emotional, we idolize or we hate players and they have to accept it as that is how they earn money from the fans.
Yeah, and there are also the bandwagon types.
Again, the example of that is GSW.
Suddenly, there are so much fans of that crew while years ago they don't even know sh*t about that team.  Grin
3818  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BITCOIN HALVING now a reality !!! How is that working out for everyone ??? on: May 16, 2020, 01:32:09 PM
It might be different now.
With the creation of massive numbers of altcoins and stablecoins, bitcoin became just a trading tool for many to profit.

This might be the case into why we are looking at dumps in exchanges.
Once it hit 10k, then they start to panic thinking the same way will happen months or years ago.
3819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: May 16, 2020, 10:37:26 AM
Let me tell you another fact, even if LeBron will bring the Lakers to win a championship, haters will never ever respect him.
Also, LeBron's achievement is real. Non of them are fake just like MJ's and Kobe's achievement.

Let's just accept the fact that these players are the best players in their respective era.

Yeah, that will happen.
This is how I see Lebron.
More like the Kobe type. I don't know why.  Grin

I don't hate him but I don't love them either.
But I do respect the tenacity and their love for the game. Pure heart when it comes to basketball.
All those hard training, you cannot continue that if you don't really love the game.

Reminds me of Bron acknowledging the young guys Ja, Zion and more. We, still, might be able to witness greatness when Bron have to stepped out of the league someday, given that he recognize those guys himself and had already matched up to each one of 'em.
Quote
"The league is in great hands with a guy like Zion, Ja Morant, Luka Doncic, Trae Young, Jayson Tatum and the list goes on and on."
These kind of acts should never really stop. It gives those young players a will to keep on playing hard.
Give them positive feedback for them to continue with love for the game and the fans.

In the end, do not play for the media or the critics.
Play for those who really enjoy the game. Like us.
Salary is a bonus for necessity.
3820  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ludena Protocol? on: May 16, 2020, 06:09:04 AM
Are to trying to hype it?

I have seen one of your threads already which Ludena is being discussed too.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5244266.0

Why not just bump that thread and create more discussion or ask this kind of questions on that same thread?
