3801  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you have control or not? on: March 25, 2020, 08:46:55 AM
Most of the time I could stop myself if I want but of course there are times that I would get carried away and gamble as much as I want.
Those time would only happen if I am having too much fun due to winning but if I am losing my .oney I could just stop whenever I feel that I would just lose it all.
So it would depend if I am winning or losing it is easier for me to stop when I am losing.

The fun aspect is one of the reasons people get carried away or attached to their games, & never minding the consequences.
I would simply just play and suppress the fun/sad aspect during bets, so that I can make rational decisions and not controlled by emotions. The only games that are probably OK to have fun on are those you are good at and are very beneficial to you
3802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Gold quickly becoming more scarce. Which will be worth more, Bitcoin or Gold? on: March 25, 2020, 08:04:45 AM
One will likely do better in time of choas and scarcity. In such time, I wouldn’t accept one. I would only accept currency I can do alot of things with.
I believe there are good physical alternatives to gold if it becomes unavailable. I would rather invest alot in "basic assets" that will sustain me & be very valuable in times of crisis, then use alternatives to gold as currencies.
If internet remains the way it is or becomes decentralized, I will use Bitcoin/crypto.

Gold could work fine in cities and town, that is if they(cities & towns) remain safe in time of choas
3803  Other / Off-topic / Re: Try not to discard your old computers, phones and other important gadgets on: March 24, 2020, 04:36:49 PM
I would still recommend that the Blockchain/decentralized communities start doing that ^. The more people, the better.

Please save the used old ones, and not buying up the new ones and making things hard for others to buy. No matter how wealthy you are, just stick to saving your used ones or buy the bad ones and get people fix them.
Hope many people did this already..

^ This is just incase... So, don't panic. Smiley
3804  Other / Off-topic / Re: To help at this covid-19 time includes landlords cutting down rents for tenants on: March 24, 2020, 02:15:48 PM
Interesting. The tenants could help the landlords in some ways too in order to convince them easily.. . Better still, both the tenants & landlords could help each other...
There should be jobs the landlords would love to get done that the tenants could do. In the end, the landlords and tenants serve each other.
But it's better not to expect anything from your tanents especially if they can't afford to pay their rents. Good tanents would work for their landlords without waiting for them to demand for work in return of free rents.

People should also consider living in tents or with family/friends if their landlords refuse to help.
3805  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stack sats / HODL philosophy (noob question) on: March 24, 2020, 01:53:09 PM
The stack sats principle is quite compatible with the "invest what you can afford to lose" recommendation... So it is a fairly safe way to invest/hold, in my opinion. I would invest maybe 1-5% of what I earn on daily basis if there is a safe way to do so. By safe I mean through methods that are Blockchain-friendly.
In regards to trading, I prefer it because you invest once in a while from fiat to crypto rather than regularly stacking from fiat to crypto.
3806  Economy / Gambling / Re: dicetrue.com - List of Top Bitcoin Casinos with reviews, bet viewers & verifiers on: March 24, 2020, 10:56:37 AM
Interesting. Wish something as important as reviewing is other businesses is done more openly/transparently, and with agreed standard. Besides, there should be people who are good/skilled reviewers in the specific areas of a whole they choose to review. There are many review sites with probably different review results. I guess a good review standard should be developed and used by the online crypto casinos review sites.
3807  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Things you shouldn't do when gambling at casino this time... on: March 24, 2020, 09:41:48 AM
Since you decided to write this list, why not supplement it with a bunch of rules, for example, not to urinate on roulette, or not to sleep on the blackjack table.
If you present it’s like a joke, then write the text itself in a humorous manner, and not as seriously as it looks now.
made me laugh lol but its true because what OP says is almost like a joke also right?those rules he present is something only Stupid Gamblers will do.all of them are given and also rules of every casino so how can someone violate those when in Casino?so this is really a Joke lol.

They are pretty useful "jokes" to be honest. I guess jokes are not to be taken seriously, but his/hers can be also be recommended as ways to avoid getting infected by "bad thing" or infecting others. The jokes are useful especially in this current situation.
3808  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Corona virus (COVID19) Effect in Cryptocurrency Gambling on: March 24, 2020, 08:19:20 AM
The corona virus outbreak and its consequence of lock-down and work-from-home will lead driving more traffic into online casinos. Already movie streaming services are reporting about congestion in their band with and I'm afraid that online  casino also may experience the same kind of situation in coming days. At the same time we cannot underestimate the capability of long-running crypto gambling houses because they must be setting up enough servers to withstand against multi-fold of gamblers compared to what they are doing for years.

Anyhow, physical casinos must have been experiencing their tough time already. Only a complete cure for corona will open doors for them again. Some medical forecasting study indicates about survival of only one third of the world population but not sure what is going to happen. This is really time for praying to God to save all of us.

Of course online gambling will prosper at this time because many people have to stay at home. Some do because they are quaranteened and some do it of their own will because they fear infection.

People get bored when they have to stay at home. They play computer games, watch tv, get drunk and gamble. Crypto gambling won't be affected as much as fiat gambling because there's avery limited number of people who own cryptocurrencies.

Well, that is not a recommended way to spend one's time at home. I would be busy doing productive things, like, learning good/useful skills, helping others, farming (people who live in cities could try vertical farming in order to utilize small spaces.) etc
If you must play computer games, watch tv, drink and bet... watch good ones, play good games, drink healthy drinks, and bet moderately. Make sure what you do benefit you positively or in good ways.

3809  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bailing out companies on: March 24, 2020, 07:49:40 AM
Some will say "if the bad companies are allowed to "go", our economic growth will reduce"
Well, a good/perfect society should base its economy on the health, happiness, satisfaction, good behavior etc, of its people, and environment. GOD should be pleased with the society too otherwise it is still at risk.

If the world economic growth metrics keeps a society from doing the "right thing", the society should ofcourse change the metrics or stop relying/using it.

✳This too is applicable to crypto or decentralized communities.
3810  Other / Off-topic / Bailing out companies on: March 24, 2020, 07:29:31 AM
I think it's OK to bail out the good ones.

They are not really responsible for the current problem in societies, though they should have anticipated such disaster and planned properly  ahead.

Besides, the bailing out will save alot of jobs and families that depend on the companies.

I wouldn't bail out companies/businesses that produces bad things... Example: cigarettes companies, businesses that make/sell bad foods... basically companies that produce things that harm societies

Lest I forget:
I don't really like the idea of handing cash to people and leaving them to do nothing. They should be given the cash and be encouraged to work or provide values for societies. Any work or value they provide should be good and helpful to others. This is when governments step in and handout more "free" cash.  Besides, instead of handing the cash, why not give that amounts to businesses that provide basic things(good things) that can sustain people during a crisis. People can just go there and get those things for free when they need them till the crisis is over.

✳This is applicable to crypto or decentralized communities in time of serious crisis
3811  Other / Off-topic / Re: Let's find the Hidden Crypto on the picture! on: March 24, 2020, 07:04:09 AM
Saw alot of coin logos already. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to search deeper for all 32. Besides the picture isn't very clear at my own end. Guess it's due to the browser I use or it's purposely blurred?
3812  Other / Off-topic / Re: Prevent Diabetes on: March 24, 2020, 06:51:49 AM
To prevent diabetes, you should stay away from sugary foods like fruits and sweets too sweet.

I am not sure if this is true.
Better to avoid mostly the processed things, which includes sugar. I believe there are good and bad sugar.. The natural sugar from fruits/vegs are not bad as far as I can tell... Probably few are bad or taking them in excess is bad?
Yesterday I ate something called sugarcane, and I feel great afterwards. But processed/artificial sugar makes sick or a bit sick (depending on how much I eat) whenever I eat it... even a little of it sometimes makes sick. Not so with the natural ones. I ate alot of the sugar cane and felt great later.
3813  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Age restriction in gambling on: March 22, 2020, 04:35:55 PM
Yes. Don't blame the government of Malawi, they must have a strong reason to allow children in gambling. ~
I know the reason because the baby does not know the meaning of money.
See Malawi : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambling_age#Africa
Quote
That is because the younger children (babies) do not know the meaning of money.
And Afganistan, they allowed every age who want to play online gambling, No limited.
See Afganistan: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gambling_age#Asia
Quote
Casinos and lottery are forbidden, BUT online gambling is legal at any age
Extreme country than Malawi I thing.

I doubt those legal age are really enforced that much in many countries. My first public gambling (prefer to call it betting) was at a very young age in a church compound (probably during something called bazaar or something) yet it was allowed back then. The games were appropriate for kids though and probably traditional.
Many of us likely bet as kids especially in our homes. I guess the problem is indulgence, which is gambling, if it doesn't benefit the kids positively. Kids spending lots of time (without spending money) on nonbeneficial games could be termed as gambling aswell.
3814  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Digital Yuan as a possible Cyber Weapon on: March 22, 2020, 04:01:44 PM
Well, the real solution to this is real decentralization, but it seems everyone has his own agenda. I don't see true sincerity anywhere yet. People who should be more concerned are suspicious of each other while creating or encouraging evil that will most likely be used against humanity.
There should be neutral alternatives that are built on solid Bitcoin principles. The alternatives must be well decentralized, anonymous/private, transparent, immutable, trustless, permissionless, censorship resistant, safe, etc. Probably better to start thinking of building local decentralized networks(whether virtual or physical or both) as very few seem motivated to build the real thing for worldwide usage.
3815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Anything could be gambling on: March 22, 2020, 10:36:52 AM
What does the "take a shot" mean?

Well, it's probably not gambling if the risk involved is little. Wish I know what the "take a shot" means to understand this whole post properly and give a reasonable response.
"Take a shot" implies that the loser has to drink vodka, whiskey etc. It is a drinking game basically. I prefer gambling with clothes in comparison(Boys and girls involved). This basically kicks things up a notch.

Gambling between family can be considered as safe gambling or real gamble because we are not going to spend too much money but we are going to get more fun compared to real life casinos.
Gambling with family members is not always safe in my opinion since it could lead to unnecessary fights and I am speaking from experience. I witnessed fights between family members due to the money aspect.

Oh, interesting. Probably not a good way to bet especially if kids are involved.

We did similar things a alot as kids. The funny thing is that we still refuse to fulfill our agreement when we lose the bets. We give numerous excuses why the winners don't deserve to get the prize.
3816  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you gamble right after coronavirus outbreaks? on: March 22, 2020, 09:55:20 AM
Lots of people will probably risk going to casinos if governments allow it, and if there is easy cure or vaccine available. If either cure or vaccine doesn't exist while governments declare places like casinos safe, people will still be very cautious and probably wait long enough to see how the situation is before visiting a casinos in large number as usual.

In my opinion, it is not gambling if the family members benefit more from the game with little to no harm/risk to them.
But spending too much time on the game with little benefits to the family members is gambling
3818  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Very innovative BTC/ETH scam ongoing live, right now. on: March 22, 2020, 08:24:12 AM
Only thing we can do now is reporting the website and the social media postings as scam

In facebook the reporting really works and if it was done by more than one person then they look at it with series manner. However lately the service is slow due to corona phenomenon. I have an ad account which I have created to advertise one of my business and the sent a notification that the ads will longer to approve because of not many people working in their office.

We really can not do much except reporting and creating awareness against this scams.

Well, if the moderation is well decentralized, scams like that would be quickly taken care of.
Skillful, anonymous and randomly chosen moderators should be able to delete such things very quickly when rules are broken in well decentralized social media
3819  Other / Off-topic / Re: Which is more saving for travelling? Public transport or personal vehicles? on: March 22, 2020, 08:06:57 AM
My favorite ways to travel cheap are on bicycle, horses, train, etc. Public/mass transportation are generally cheaper compared to the private ones... I don't always feel too comfortable in them though.
If it becomes necessary to travel cheap, I will certainly go for walking, cycling horse riding. I enjoy walking alone or with very few people. I also love riding bicycles and will most likely enjoy riding long distance on horses.
3820  Other / Off-topic / Re: What is the right Church to attend? No right church to attend on: March 22, 2020, 07:20:03 AM
I think it depends on you.
Some want to find an easy church, some church denominations don't even follow the right teachings...
...forbidden food(LEVITICUS 11), TEN COMMANDMENTS(EXODUS 20), Baptism, Passover, don't consume yeast(EXODUS 12:35)...{and so on}
I cant quote all the verses.sorry
Some people dont follow the church teachings or the BIBLE, ignore them.
If you join a church denomination that follows the right teachings...
Then can you tellme about it.
Or if you don't find one...
You can follow the right teachings alone if you dont find anyone doing it.
Anyway, Ucy, which denomination do you follow/belong?

I don't really follow any denomination. I follow all the teachings of JESUS CHRIST. That's actually what guides me. And HE dwells in us, especially those who believe and obey HIS Commandment.
Moses prophesy concerning the coming of JESUS:
"For Moses truly said to the fathers, ‘The LORD your God will raise up for you a Prophet like me from your brethren. Him you shall hear in all things, whatever He says to you. And it shall be that every soul who will not hear that Prophet shall be utterly destroyed from among the people. —Acts 3:22-23
JESUS is that Prophet and HIS words will save those who believe and obey from the coming destructions.

The 10 commandant is from GOD but it is not really enough. Read or listen to the Book of Romans to understand why it is not enough.

Eating the "forbidden foods" (just like not washing your hands before eating) doesn't defile a person, or better still, it does not make you a sinner. It is likely that the food law was given for hygiene/health/safety reasons. You could eat any food if you have the Holy Spirit in you and nothing will happen. It takes faith to do that. When you visit the homes of unbelievers to preach and they offer those foods, accept and eat them. The most important thing is to eat in moderation.
But it's OK to always stick to the food law if you have doubts, don't have faith or the Holy Spirit.
