About 4,8 months max, when ticket revokes and coins return spendable (without reward in that case) but the average time is around 30 days. Reward is 1.5648 right now. Majority of tickets will vote before 4,8 month max. Funds are in your control all time, but they are locked until ticket votes. After vote funds return spendable with reward. Thanks a lot! Answered everything I was wondering about. : ) Adn btw... Very nice ROI... Should be 7,0% per year if calculated correctly? |

I've got two issues right now:
1) I can't access https:// and http:// byteball.org because it is reported as an unsecure connection!
2) When I try to talk to the transition bot to verify my addresses are still linked I get this response in red ("code":"CERT_NOT_YET_VALID"). It seems like my message isn't even send.

However I would like to hear what crypto-veterans think about the recent increase in Bitcoins- and Altcoins total market cap. Is it growing too much, are we in a bubble?
first of all bitcoins total MARKET cap is meaningless and speculative 'estimation of desire' not an actual 'backed up by' financial figure, so its a bubble number... yep, it is bitcoins "price" is not ascertained by looking in all the fiat bank accounts of bitcoin exchanges, totalling up the fiat cap(hoping to see 16billion) and than attributing it to bitcoins 16mill coins to get to the "billions" of bitcoin MARKET cap. bitcoins "price" is ascertained by looking seeing just what supply and demand there are of just a few hundred thousand(or less) coins that actually sit on exchange orderlists "price value" A bitcoin at.. and then separately. take that "price value" of a bitcoin and multiply it by the 16mill coins(not on exchanges) in short there are NOT 16billlion dollars in bank accounts to back up the 16mill coins to actually give a real 1000:1 swap value of bitcoin to fiat of $1000each. so imagine just a couple hundred thousand coins wanted to sell out and take all the FIAT(far far far less than billions). the bubble of 16billion, bursts Well, sure, isn't that the case for all shares in a stock market, too? People invested a certain amount of money at some point in history. And depending on demand they can sell it for a certain price. If some (people) try to sell a huge % of an asset in a short period of time, prices would drop a lot below the current price, too, or am I wrong? Not an expert on this, whatsoever. Still I think this is just how offer-and-demand markets work, right? |

It depends on the real intent of SegWit mostly, imo. Seems to me there are some people involved that have their own agenda prioritized over the longevity of Bitcoin. For example saying that high tx fees (as high as $100!!!) are not an issue. Just LOL.
I really hope some kind of consensus will be found asap, but it's still probably a long way.
Personally I'd much prefere a BU "hard-fork" with 95% + adoption and Segqit can still be implemented ontop later if desired.
Btw, I feel like some people don't understand the meaning of hard-fork. It just means an UPDATE that is mendatory for anyone that wants to stay on the network. If you don't UPDATE, your chain will be sperate from the old one and cannot interact with the NEW SOFTWARE.
A BTC hardfork is NOT like the famous Ethereum DAO hardfork, where transactions were actually REVERSED.
