Galtier now has more serious problems than a possible dismissal from PSG. They said that Galtier was arrested on charges of racism. The charges relate to the period of 21-22 years when he coached Nice. It's clear that this was superimposed on the unrest in Paris and now Luis Enrique will probably be 99% the coach of PSG. Perhaps with Galtier's arrest PSG won't even have to pay a forfeit. Surely there is a clause in the contract about the violation of the law and the termination of the contract in such a case.

Now PSG will have to sign Luis Enrique because there is no time to lose without a coach.

To begin with, Galtier's guilt must be proven, plus I'm not sure that there is a clause in the contract where he undertakes to "be clean" from birth. In general, in my opinion, this is a crazy situation, even if his opinion is absurd, is it worth dragging him to jail if, apart from the alleged words, there were no actions based on them? In any case, the police have 24 hours to file charges, so we'll find out what exactly he's charged with tomorrow.

I just realized because Sevilla the winner of europa league then this year Laliga has 5 representative in champion league but very interesting to see Sociedad journey next season because this is their first europa tournament after 10 years and last time they were joined on season 2013-2014 and at that time their performance were really messed up because from 6 matches on group stage Sociedad only able to collect 1 points and their final position is in the bottom of group standings

For next season some of fans were hopes Sociedad can talk more to this competition although it's hard but it probably can be realized and they have good players such as David Silva, Takefusa Kubo or Alexander Sorloth who can scores 14 goals during last season in all competitions however for drawing pot Sociedad probably in the pot 3 or pot 4 and they more likely will met strong teams from England or Italy so their journey will be so difficult this time

Of the surprises that we have yet to realize, there is an even more important one - this will be the last season of the Champions League under the old rules. Then instead of the group stage there will be a Swiss system without doubles (home - away) games and it will be very unusual. But in fact, I expect that the teams participating in the playoffs (especially starting from the quarterfinals) will be the same.

Modric has the Ballon d'Or plus the huge amount of titles he's won with Real Madrid plus he's a Croatian national team legend. In general, he is a big brand and I think that he is guaranteed a fat contract in a year. So turning down the offer this year he did the right thing - he'll have one more season of "serious" football with Real Madrid and then play for a few more years just for the money.

Well, even if for example Modric gets a new contract at Real Madrid, I'm sure Modric will only be on the bench more often. Because as a midfielder, of course, physical conditions such as having speed and strength will be very necessary, maybe equating it with Ibrahimovic's physical condition with Modric is of course very different. Indeed, Modric has brilliant passes so he is still needed in the Real Madrid midfield, but to run and duel I think Modric will lose strong and lose fast with younger players.

Buying a young player for his position (even to have a good reserve) it will be very expensive if we are talking about a qualification comparable to Modric, so extending the contract for a year is beneficial for Real Madrid (I don’t think they will pay him a huge salary for this year) and Modric.
As for the speed, it falls much slower for players of this physique than for relatively "fat" players - a good example is Pepe. He is now 40 years old, but at the World Cup I did not notice that he was slow  Cheesy

Next year Modric will be 38 years old, it is possible for Modric to accept an offer from an Arab club if the offer really comes for him. Modric condition which is still fit, reminds me of Ibrahimovic, even though he is old, he is still able to play the full 90 minutes. Even though he was already a Real Madrid legend and it was an honor to retire as a Real Madrid player, it wasn't too bad for him to spend the rest of his career in the Arab League while earning a lot of money there.

Modric has the Ballon d'Or plus the huge amount of titles he's won with Real Madrid plus he's a Croatian national team legend. In general, he is a big brand and I think that he is guaranteed a fat contract in a year. Yes, that's right. Bavaria dominates.

~ Last season was tough, both for Naggelsman and Tuchel himself.
That was because there was a massive improvement in many other team's in Bundesliga. Freiburg,  Liepzig, and union Berlin, all had a wonderful performance last season.  Lacj  of resources needed to sustain their form is what differentiate then from bayern. Bayern Munich is richer and has all it takes to keep a strong and sustainable team. There are teams in Germany that can suddenly attend that same height if placed on the same financial height and If it happens now in Tuchel Era, u can't blame him.

No, it was just the failure of Bayern - they scored less points than usual (almost in 10 years we have a champion with such a small number of points if I remember correctly) and all the drama happened because of this. If other clubs had seriously improved, they would have shown something in the international arena, but I did not notice anything.
It's very natural to say Bayern Munich for the Bundesliga and the Bundesliga for Bayern Munich, how could it not be, they have been champions for more than a decade in the Bundesliga without any significant obstacles from other clubs. Borussia Dortmund, which was expected to be a real challenger, failed to do the things that made Bayern Munich difficult. Even last season, when they had a huge opportunity to break the dominance created by Bayern Munich, they just missed the opportunity.

Even if Dortmund had won the title this season, the difference would have been negligible. 11 titles for Bayern in 11 years and 10 titles for Bayern and 1 for Dortmund in 11 years - little difference in my opinion. And if we do not forget that the ratio of club budgets remains as 2 to 1 in favor of Bayern (although once upon a time they were comparable), then the illusion of competition finally disappears.

Since being left by Sergio Ramos at the end of last season, the PSG center back position has become vacant and therefore PSG is expected to be able to find a replacement for next season's competition. Today it is reported that PSG have reached an agreement with Lucas Hernandez from Bayern Munich and this has been confirmed by Fabrizio Romano. I think Lucas Fernandez is a tough defender and there is no doubt about his quality. For a transfer fee around 50 million euros and I think that price is still quite affordable for PSG. Now it's just a matter of waiting for the official announcement from PSG and I think this time PSG will try to start building a new squad for the coming season by bringing in a few more players.

Source: https://twitter.com/FabrizioRomano/status/1674390405578735619

I don’t know what lineup they will play in, but even now it’s clear that they have almost completely changed the entire midfield. If they manage to get rid of Neymar, then the process will be almost complete and then only point reinforcements will be needed. I'm surprised, but it looks like PSG are making reasonable changes, rejuvenating the squad, have they abandoned their previous strategy and now they will "play for the long haul"?

3830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: June 29, 2023, 04:35:27 PM
The next season for Inzaghi will be very unpleasant/dangerous - expectations for Inter are high, they are Serie A favorites and any result in the Champions League, except for the final again, will (purely psychologically) be perceived as a deterioration in the result. I highly doubt that luck (in opponents which were on their way to the final) will be on the side of Inter again and I am not at all sure that they will take the Serie A title.

I think it is not that easy anyway in the Serie A when you are the coach of one of the best clubs Pressure will be high but I also think that when a coach had one successful season it is usually safe to say that they are firmly established in the whole business. Even if they lose they job one day here, they also know that they will have another good job elsewhere tomorrow. Inzaghi with his last season has fully arrived I think

But also, at this time Inter fans may have realized that the results from last season especially in the Champions League were extraordinary and are likely not to be achieved season after season. But they will still expect Inzaghi to play for titles.

Yes, this is true, if the coach showed success, then then he will have at least a few attempts even if he is fired after failures. In this sense, Inzaghi has more or less secured his future.
As for the success of Inter in the Champions League, I think almost all Inter fans understand that it was more a coincidence (weak opponents) than the fact that Inter is really the top 2 club in Europe  Grin

Hey guys,

With the English Premier League set to kick-off on August 12, we wanted to give everyone the chance to get excited for what should be another fun and competitive season  Cool

Sponsorship
*  Sportsbet.io has agreed to continue the tradition with a generous 200 mBTC sponsorship   (Big thanks to Steve)
*  If we get our usual 50-60+ entrants, that brings the total pot to 325-350 mBTC+
*  The entry fee will be 2.5 mBTC and I'll leave the pot breakdown for hilariousandco to decide

Free Bets
*  There are 38 weeks in the season with the Yellow Cap winner(s) receiving a 3 mBTC Free Bet each week
*  In addition, there will be Exclusive Prediction Contests for paid entrants throughout the season; so plenty of opportunities to win additional Free Bets

Let's try to break last season's record of 61 paid entrants and get an even bigger pot  Smiley

Great news, thank you!
A 3 mbtc freebet is very cool and probably many (at least me) will take these bets more seriously, because even a 10x of the bet will give a nice amount (we all hope that bitcoin will continue to grow  Roll Eyes ).

I wish everyone good luck in advance, and I will try to attract new participants by posting information about this contest in my local.

I'm hoping to make more BTC so the more bets from now on the more chances of winning. I think that's what I'm going to do now before the bull run takes full speed.
Regardless of which game. To me, I bet on Soccer but I seem to have lost every day. How often do you win in Soccer games if you just bet based on odds by picking a team with 1.50 and 1.70?

Hard to say. Mostly I do multibets and often the odds are far from reasonable (let's say not 3-4 but 6-10 and higher), but it seems to me that I am more often lucky than unlucky. At one time, I made calculations where I took into account how successfully I implement free bets regarding a strategy where I would always bet on odds of 2 and get 50% on average and it turned out that I surpassed such a strategy.
3833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: June 27, 2023, 09:08:48 PM
Inter had a wonderful season even though they couldn't be competitive for the Serie A title. Winning two titles and qualifying for the Champions League finale must be more than enough for the team. Inzaghi must have consolidated his seat a little more by this season. They could have even gone for the Serie A title also if it weren't for their bad performance at defending in the time period until the World Cup.

Now they must be financially stronger also and I will be expecting them to make decent improvements for the squad. Inter are seen as the number one title contender next time according to bookies already. They will need to maintain this level to prove them right for sure.

I wonder who will be brought after Lukaku and Dzeko's departures too. They should make their choice of striker carefully to have a nice duo with Lautaro.

I'm personally in favour of fewer prize spots -- it makes the prizes bigger, but have to say when it comes to the size of the pots here and in UCL, it probably makes it more fun for everyone to have more spots, even if those are just consolation prizes (it's a nice way to say, hey, here's your ticket back for next season). It might be my imagination, but people who feel they no longer have something to play for (ignoring that yellow caps themselves are fantastic weekly prizes) seem to drop out at the latter stages of the league.
~

A small number of prizes will lead to the fact that all those who are already far behind will go all in every round, and thus those who make more balanced predictions will be much less likely to get a yellow cap. In fact, if you look at the sum of all the "consolation" prizes, then it is not so large as to seriously increase the main prizes.

~
Instead of the megajackpot, why not run a parallel league, just open another on SuperBru? Separate entry fee, possibly double or triple the regular fee, plus an additional requirement (a deposit of $100 at Sportsbet and 1x wager through the entire season)? Then they could cross-promo it the whole pre-season. Maybe a smaller sponsorship there but one winner-takes-all. That might offer hints at how a bigger pool with bigger fees might look like.

I am ready to play in parallel pools (I would like to try different strategies, I really would) but I would hardly enter a pool where there is only one prize  Cheesy

It seems that Mbappe is ready to move to Real Madrid next year as a free agent and if this is true, it is unclear how PSG will behave. Will Mbappe make the squad? On the one hand, to put him in the squad knowing that the player is leaving is not very good, because it is not very clear how he will play? Will he give his all and even if he does, the club still knows that he will leave at the end of the season.
PSG can put young and promising players in Mbappe's place, but then a player who gets a lot of money will just sit on the bench.
In general, Mbappe has created a lot of problems for the club with his decision.

Kane seemed to want to go to Bayern, but so far Tottenham have not given permission for the transition.

If Mbappe stays, of course he will play his best in every possible game (obviously taking into account the need to rest, etc.) - it is too expensive to keep one of the strongest strikers and the most expensive player on the bench. After all, PSG are paying him for his services, so they should try to get the most for their fee. And I don't think that Mbappe created any problems for PSG - he pulled this club all these years, they should be grateful to him.
3836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: As a Gambler and a Die-Hard Fan of a Club Would you Bet Against your Club on: June 27, 2023, 08:50:00 PM
I don't want to risk losing a lot of money by betting on my team when they are not performing well. It simply doesn't make sense. However if the odds are relatively similar such as my team being at @2.5 to win while the other team is at 2.2, I would definitely consider betting on my team to win the game.

My point here is that I won't bet on my team when I know there's no hope for them to win. But if there's a 50/50 chance or even a 30% chance for my team to win I'll definitely place my bet on my team. Smiley

But don't you increase negative emotions in the event of the defeat of your favorite team? Personally, this option seems unpleasant to me, although of course I understand that if my favorite team wins, plus I get additional profit for their victory, this is the height of bliss. But it seems to me that I already eschew too strong emotions  Grin

On the other hand, Dortmund lost Bellingham and, like other clubs, cannot oppose anything even to the problematic Bayern. The real pressure on Tuchel will start at the Champions League stage - any failure will be taken very painfully. Well, if he gets into any difficulties up to this point, then it will be entirely his fault - Bayern dominates the Bundesliga and this is the minimum that is expected from any coach.
The minimum u said. U speak as if Bayern was created for Bundesliga and Bundesliga for Bayern and nothing can change that. No club in Germany can change that.~

Yes, that's right. Bavaria dominates.

I'm quite happy to see the voting board in this thread has been updated. But looking at the results of the temporary voting, it seems that Barcelona will still gain more confidence in securing the title again in Laliga next season.
I personally also chose to vote for Barcelona. Last season I chose Real Madrid if I remember correctly. But this season I have doubts with Real Madrid who have even lost Benzema. even though they have brought in a striker to fill the void left by Benzema. but I don't think Real Madrid has yet to get a player who can replace Benzema's role.

It is reported that Mbappe may come this season to Real Madrid to fill the Real Madrid front line so that he remains sharp. I look forward to hearing more about this. So if Mbappe really comes to Real Madrid. then maybe Real Madrid will be seeded again.

It's too early to tell what the vote shows - too few votes:

Barcelona   - 5 (71.4%)
Real Madrid   - 2 (28.6%)

71% for Barcelona  Grin Bookmakers have more serious assessments and they consider Real to be the favorite:

Real Madrid 2.10

Barcelona 2.35

It will be interesting to see how these quotes change if Mbappe ends up at Real Madrid this summer and not a year later.

If this is for real nobody would have seen it coming!

Liverpool seems now to be the hottest candidate to sign Mbappe, but what the heck is going on? Klopp has been asked often times and he said that it would never ever be possible for Liverpool to bid for Mbappe. Never, he emphasized! Cheesy Now there are many sources that say Liverpool is about to pull the ultimate trigger. I can't believe it, but I would like it. Mbappe as the leader of a whole new project at Anfield Road. This would be amazing. it would be something different than Manchester City and Real Madrid. Even though Liverpool is huge, still nobody would have expected it. That makes it so interesting.

Interesting information, however, I can not appreciate its closeness to reality. It remains only to wait. In fact, I would also be interested in seeing Liverpool with Mbappe vs. City with Haaland head-to-head several times a season.
But in general, if this transfer takes place, it will be mega funny, since Mbappe talked too much about his love for PSG and Real Madrid-dream-childhood team. Choosing the third option would be absurd.

#glazersout has been trending on twitter.

Some people were protesting glazer to accept jassim's offer to buy unite. They also shutdown MU's megastore. I can understand how desperate all of MU fans by seeing glazer family is not yet making it even clear. They do comprehend if glazer was a greedy owner.
I am actively supporting its ending to Glazer's era.

#Glazersout #Jassimin

It's caused by the fact that we are in the summer transfer season yet MU has not been making even an important transfer. Acquisition progress has inhibited proper spending information during the summer transfer season. United for new era under jassim.

I read that even if United were sold a month ago, the new owners, due to bureaucratic procedures, would only be able to start real management in mid-late autumn. Under such conditions, it is hard to hope that the summer transfer campaign for United will be successful - while there is no certainty, no one wants to make serious investments, although they are needed.
