I really thought of betting on Betis win against Real Sociedad in the Copa del Rey to be honest. But I didn't and I'm feeling regretful for now. Betis have already got 1-0 ahead by their early goal in the 12th minute. I wonder why bookmakers showed them weak by making their odd very high like 4 or above. I have a big respect for Real Sociedad too but I can't say that they are far better than Betis now. The odds tell me this but I don't accept it. Betis are much better this season and they are showing it to us right now too. But it is still early to talk about a Betis win of course. I'm expecting Real Sociedad not to give up easily.

Memphis Grizzlies are one of the very impressive teams of this season considering the performances so far. They won another game last night this time against New York Knicks by 120-108 and moved on. Ja Morant is one of their most valuable players now. His superb performance helps his team get wins a lot. He is very young and I think that he has a bright future ahead of him. He can be one of the best guards in history if he continues to improve his game every season. And we see Grizzlies at the third position in the Western Conference standings. I hope to see a solid playoff performance from them.

In less than one week, Manchester United are going to play an away game against Burnley. They were impressive by their performance in their last two league games. They are on a winning streak of two games recently and it looks like they can maintain this. Because Burnley are at the last position in the league standings currently. As Manchester United have been in a good shape these days, I think that they would manage to beat Burnley without looking at whether it's a home or away game. Burnley might resist but the Red Devils should be able to win by at least one-goal gap.

The news source claims that Manchester United are going to be seriously interested in bringing the current PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino this summer. There have already been some rumours like PSG will part ways with him at the end of the season. And their target would probably be Zinedine Zidane. Manchester United also can go for him actually but PSG would be the winner in this rivalry I guess. Therefore, Pochettino can be one of the best options for them as he knows the Premier League very well too. https://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/news/mauricio-pochettino-man-united-psg-26123859

Egypt and Cameroon are going to play against each other today in the semi finals. I made my prediction considering that the game would end after penalties. I assume that the biggest reason for not being able to choose the draw option in the pool is that they count extra time also. And this is not logical to me.

I'm curious about what Arsenal will do after sending Aubameyang. I guess that they are not planning to fill his place with another centre-forward for now. But if I were in their place, I would have signed a striker before the end of the transfer window. Because they have only Lacazette and Nketiah as strikers right now. And Lacazette is having a terrible season. He scored only three goals in sixteen games. This is a big problem for the team and their not taking an action about this can cause them to be in a problematic condition on the remaining weeks of the league.
Mikel Arteta and Edu are clueless, just want to get rid of this guy without getting anything, no signing of replacement. I'm looking at all the players Arsenal let go this window, how are they supposed to compete? They've got like 7 total defenders. Expecting them to drop off heavily from where they are. The previous months have ultimately proven there is a clear reliance on Saka and fellow academy product Emile Smith Rowe to produce the goods going forward. Because in the centre-forward role, Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah have not been scoring enough despite plenty of minutes on the pitch. With both forwards less than six months away from their respective contracts expiring. It is a very big risk fighting the top 4 spot without a new striker. I definitely agree with you on this. Arsenal can't put up a solid fight for the fourth position in the league standings by not adding a new striker to the team. They just can't make do with the two players I mentioned above. Nketiah is not an impressive player. And Lacazette is far away from his old times now. He wouldn't do much good in the rest of the season. If Arsenal signed a good striker now, then I would have favoured them to make it to the fourth position maybe. But it seems really difficult to think so now. Manchester United are more likely than them for example.

The opening game of the week is going to be Roma vs Genoa three days later. Roma have one of their easiest games ahead of them now. They are on a winning streak of two games in the Serie A now. And this is a nice opportunity for them to increase the winning streak to three games. Genoa can't put up a big fight against Roma as long as they are completely focused on the game. Genoa haven't been able to defeat Roma in the Serie A for nearly eight years. And as Genoa are out-of-form now, I think that Roma will get a comfortable win again.

Barcelona have finalised the Aubameyang deal. As Arsenal released him, Barcelona have signed him on a free transfer. So it is clear now that this is a permanent move for him. The contract is going to last for two years though but if he really impresses the team by his scoring performance, then maybe Barcelona would think of extending his contract for one more year. Some years before, it was rumoured that Aubameyang would join the Real Madrid side actually. He's still come to the La Liga but not to Real Madrid.

The result of the Phoenix Suns vs Brooklyn Nets game didn't surprise me even a bit. Suns were in a much stronger condition than Nets and we saw it by their performance in this game also. Nets felt Kevin Durant's absence indeed but I don't think that they would still have won this game by having him in the starting five also. It is just really difficult to beat Suns in this season recently. They have had a great winning streak so far. They missed the chance of being the champions in the finals last season and I wonder if they will make it this time.

The Lyon vs Marseille game tonight was a really nice one. We have witnessed a competitive game and a big comeback in the late minutes of the game. Marseille were doing well by keeping their 1-0 score advantage. But they were helpless while we were getting close to the final moments of the game. Lyon put a great effort into the game and finally turned the game around. But if I'm to be honest, I think that none of the teams were too dominant against the other. So, I wouldn't be astonished to see a draw either. Lyon must be happy with the level they have lately in the Ligue 1.

I think that the biggest game tonight is Phoenix Suns vs Brooklyn Nets. Recently, Nets have been having a really bad time. They lost four games in a row lately and this caused them to drop down to the sixth position in the standings now. Kevin Durant is still absent due to a long-term injury. And Harden is also having an injury now but we might see him play in this game. As Irving is able to play only in away games too, Nets have been in a stressful condition. This is a must-win game for them to start to pull themselves together. However the opponent is very tough. Suns are the leader of their conference and they are on a winning streak of ten games. When we take this into account, I think that Nets won't be able to win and they will get another loss here.

Two days to go for the Athletic Bilbao vs Real Madrid game in the Copa del Rey. I'm hoping this game to be really competitive. Athletic Bilbao are a team which are capable of defeating Real Madrid in this kind of tournament games actually. But they lost to Real Madrid once in this season and this cost them the Super Cup title. I wonder whether we will see this repeating here too. Athletic Bilbao have a home stadium advantage for this game. If they make use of it properly, then maybe they can barely manage to eliminate Real Madrid. But it still seems to be a far possibility for me.

I actually agree with the people who think that Liverpool can still do well without Mane and Salah in the Leicester game ahead of them in the PL. Because we watched Liverpool play like this against Arsenal in the EFL Cup rematch. And we saw how great they dominated the game and won it. So, I think that Liverpool's current attacking line is still quite solid and they can defeat Leicester in Anfield. Maybe it might be a more difficult win but they can. Because I really don't like Leicester's defense as I see it as quite weak.

I see a delightful game tonight: Boston Celtics vs Miami Heat. Heat are the leader of the Eastern Conference right now and Celtics are eight positions below them in the standings. Heat have six more wins than them right now. Heat are having an amazing time this season but Celtics seem to be a tough target for them. They played against each other once this season and Celtics defeated them by 95-78 away. Even this must be enough for Heat to be cautious. I expect to see a more competitive game this time but Heat should be able to win this.
