3821  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum wallet user Lost $16M in Bitcoin. on: September 02, 2020, 10:08:24 AM
I lost $40,000 in this Electrum hack through a quick lapse in concentration - I'd eaten a bit too much and wasn't thinking straight / feeling lazy. That's all it takes folks!

I'm circling back around on this - is there somewhere I can at least register the loss? I'dve thought there is some value in a company monitoring stolen coins or something?
I don't think there any company that does the job of monitoring stolen coin because despite the transactions in bitcoin blockchain being viewable by anyone. It's also a little easy to create new addresses and also mix stolen bitcoins through bitcoin mixers making it hard for someone who's trying to trace the stolen coins.

Well this escalated quickly  Grin

Looks like we have got another Game-Protect in making
3823  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Tweebaa on: September 01, 2020, 08:26:33 PM
By plagiarized mean scam? wow that's a short and sweet conclusion. Well, I can't force a cow to eat meat, the project listed since DEC 2019, lets watch it Cheesy
The Only cow i see here is you. Trying to force people believe that the project you advertise is real and yet in actual sense it's run by a bunch of lazy scammers who plagiarized other projects' whitepapers.

We have to project newbies against such scam projects, and we shall try to warn them as much as possible.
3824  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Tweebaa on: August 30, 2020, 08:15:10 PM

3825  Other / Meta / Re: Cause of Ban on: August 30, 2020, 07:20:17 PM
can you give an explanation of why this account has been banned
There's nothing to explain here. You very well know the reason for the ban "probably plagiarism or spam"

And OP you are evading ban by trying post outside Meta using this New account. It's not allowed.

You can always appeal by sending a pm to Theymos but your chances are slim.
A PM to Theymos? Since when did this change? I thought there was some sort of email one would send there appeal to as per this post
Quote
If you are banned

Your ban message may have an email address which you can email. If not, then appeals are unlikely to be accepted

In my humble opinion he deserves a second chance and I hope admins will consider his appeal.
I thought so too but after reading through this thread, I change my mind. The guy has so many alts and since a number of them have been banned. It's beginning to bite hard on him... Kind of reminds me of the infamous signature campaign cheating account farm of Polar91 which was busted sometime back
3827  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Electrum update: A trader lost 1400 BTC on: August 30, 2020, 03:14:05 PM
It still surprises me how someone can own 1,400 BTC but still fail to secure the Bitcoin stash using a couple of Hardware wallets that don't cost more than 100 quid each  Roll Eyes

That was very dumb of him and I guess he had to pay $16 Million tuition fees to just learn that lesson.
3828  Other / Meta / Re: Unjustified ban on: August 30, 2020, 08:13:06 AM
Hello, I noticed that my "cheus" account was recently banned,
What do you mean OP? Your account has never been banned according to bpip.org and the ModLog. You must be mistaken
3829  Other / Meta / Re: What kind of sarcasm is it? Or censorship? on: August 30, 2020, 08:02:45 AM
Man you seem to be complaining and opening new threads about mods lately, what's up?
It happens to all of us, imagine if we all decided to open threads complaining about our deleted replies that we thought weren't off-topic and complaints about unhandled reports or reports that were marked as bad. It would be a mess in meta, wouldn't it?

Just take a deep breath and let it go. Next time you would try to put the moderation power to yourself by opening a self-Moderated thread  Wink
3830  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Tweebaa on: August 30, 2020, 07:48:34 AM
Wow I didnt know this project has a plagiarized whitepaper. It seems project now are really into copying stuff from other existing projects.

I was just amazed how a project with copied content worth expensive now.

https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/tweebaa/

I saw it trading history from $5 to $59, thats an amazingly gained.

you cannot call a project legit if there are no updates on their announcement, bounty campaign and social media channels.
Im not into this project but does this project didnt paid their participants on campaign? Seems weird since their valuation on market is good. Maybe same with digitalbits project that changed their mind to paying off due to sudden rise.
Just because the price of the token is high does not mean that they are legit.
Do you remember OTN (Open Trade Network)?
At one point their token was going for $55 and the when the dumping started. It never stopped to this date. check out the price right now... $0.004479

The truth is Tweeba's volume isn't even decent as people think. The last 24-hour trading volume is just $155,028,980 USD (only 13,363 BTC). Scammers can afford to pump the price and trade back and forth using bots and make it look like the coin price is growing only to dump it on gullible traders.
3831  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Cryptochrome - another DeFi with plagiarized whitepaper! on: August 30, 2020, 06:54:53 AM
To bi honest, I am inclined to believe him that he was just hired to make announcement and airdrop threads for Cryptochrome a i can see that he made several other announcements threads for other projects recently. That definitely doesn't absolve him, he should have checked better what he is promoting.
He should have taken down the thread or left a big warning in the OP of the thread that the project was scam plus lock it as soon as he saw the accusation, but he never did. All he cared about was the removal of negative feedback.

If the accused was legitimate, they would refrain from working with them as soon as they are caught to be a scam group. No wonder they havent taken down the threads yet or come up clean. I could give them more time but that does not change the fact that more people are being hurt as long as the threads remain up without a red flag on the OP.
Exactly!
3832  Economy / Gambling / Re: Cloudbet | Bitcoin Casino & Sportsbook | The No.1 Bitcoin Gambling Site on: August 29, 2020, 09:58:09 PM
Slow withdrawals atm, been almost 24 hours.
What coin are you trying to transfer?
Try sending a PM Cloudbet about your issue

Slow withdrawals atm, been almost 24 hours.
More transactions might've got stuck on the network causing such an withdrawal issue. With every gambling site this happens whenever the network is flooded with more transactions. If you're free to share the details of the account to which funds have been withdrawn then it'll help good for me the support team sort the issue.
But it's weekend and it's the time networks are less congested like Bitcoin. This should be the time the transaction gets confirmed
3833  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which type of trading you think is good? on: August 29, 2020, 09:32:16 PM
I would say combine both TA and event News for a much better performance. As a day trader, I have come to realize that you cannot rely only on TA or Event news when making trade calls because sometimes the market does not respond as expected. Using both gives you the power to much more than some relying on only one factor.
3834  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Tweebaa on: August 29, 2020, 09:11:56 PM
Scam? Do you have more real evidence other than all this? Don joke us by using this evidence of yours, the project is backed known public investors such as Steven Rockefeller Jr., check this out https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E1Ox1rVsdlk
1. Are you part of the team?
2. What more evidence do you need? Isn't a plagiarized whitepaper enough evidence to you that the project is not to be trusted and are likely scam?

Tagging you for promoting scam.
3835  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is the crypto market saturated? on: August 28, 2020, 09:29:57 PM
Do you think the crypto market is saturated? If not, why? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Smiley
I don't think it's saturated. At the end of the day almost over 3/4 of the coins and tokens on Marketcap are struggling to even have a decent 24-hour trading volume and as time goes on most of them get delisted from prominent exchanges and die a natural death as traders seek coins or tokens with decent trading volumes or top marketcap coins.
3836  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [Warning] Cryptochrome - another DeFi with plagiarized whitepaper! on: August 28, 2020, 08:01:47 PM
Hello mate. The Project team hired me to create the page. Hope you will remove that negative trust.Thankyou.
When  robbers hire you to help them rob a bank, you become an accomplice of the robbers and the law therefore says you have to be punished too.
Negative feedback added to your profile. 48 hours and I will personally flag you profile if nothing is done.

Good riddance, one less trade volume faking exchnge. How I wish more authorities tighten the grip on volume faking exchanges.

3839  Other / Meta / Re: Please help restore the account on: August 27, 2020, 12:21:57 PM
But sir, these topics have been written since 2019 when I was a beginner and didn't know some rules.
I now work very hard and follow the rules and stick to them
Some people even had their profiles get banned with posts from 2015.
You had a chance to make changes for almost over a year when you got to know about the rules concerning plagiarism but you never did... So who is to blame OP?

So is there any chance to recover the account please
Only Global moderators will give you the answer. You will know in a few days or weeks from now if your account does not get unbanned by then.
3840  Other / Meta / Re: Please help restore the account on: August 27, 2020, 12:15:14 PM
Knowing that you heavily rely on the account's signature payouts for family income, you should have done better OP. You lose nothing if you include a link from the source of the content you copied. These are tough times but rules are rules and you broke one of strictest of them.
