thank you guys again!

thanks very much! :-)
I see that nvidia miners don't want to end up like AMD with huge speed gap between public and private miners ;-)

You can download official sgminer with Lyra2REv2 support here: https://github.com/djm34/sgminer/releases/

What hashrate should I expect with a 280x?

I see djm34 already pushed diff 256 to ccminer.
Now, what should we use on pools that didn't need --diff 2 like give me coins?

I have pull requested the fix for animecoin on util.cpp, let's hope it goes to the right fork this time ;-)

nice ...

so that would mean that we wouldnt need to edit and can compile direct from git? ...

if sp includes it that is - is that right? ...

#crysx

Yes, it compiles for me now; and SP_ has already merged the pull request, so you can go on git pulling ;-)

well - i can only do it remotely at the moment ...

not as satisfying as pulling at the office Tongue ...

git that is - pulling git ... ahem ...

think ill just clone and start over ... hehehe ...

tanx ...

#crysx

if you modified some files yourself and it refuses to do "git pull", just run "git checkout [file]" to revert it to the original state ;-)

has anyone gotten this to work successfully with 15.7 drivers??

Yeah, replace this in the kernel directory: https://ottrbutt.com/tmp/bmw256.cl

removed two pragma unroll... hmmm... doesn't work for me.

On Linux you can easily mine with AMD and nvidia cards together. Use AMD as primary then install cuda without opengl.

dont they both need different drivers? ...

i tried this a while ago and it just refused to work ...

#crysx

You can install both drivers on the same machine; the nvidia one and cuda should be installed by the run file, not the deb.

Ccminer doesn't depend on qt.
Qt is a graphical widget library (and more) while ccminer is for the terminal.
But, many coin wallets have a GUI using qt.

I did that trick with quark during high shark times and got good profit.
It usually doesn't last long Sad

would it be technically possible to mine eth with ccminer (or sgminer for the matter)?
looks to be very profitable and VTC diff is going higher and higher (while price is stable).

@djm34, @pallas, @sp_ your VTC addresses please. It will be easy for me to send VTC rather than BTC. For BTC you have to wait a bit longer when I have accumulated enough VTC & sold them.

Here is mine, thanks!

I think devs should communicate with craptsy, VTC locked there for several days.

It's working now.

Q

Can we stop spamming the thread after 3 pages on a non-official ad I made for VNL?

It wasn't even RT-d by John or anything. It had bad phrasing on 1 single point.

I just stated the error, then was asked for explanation, and had to reply.
If people wouldn't take every critic as an attack, it would have ended in a single post.
3839  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [UNOFFICIAL] VNL | Vanillacoin 0.3.1 | DarkPP/MinerPP/CoinPP | ZeroTime TestNet on: August 12, 2015, 01:28:39 PM
an android phone is just a linux computer.
you can compile any coin that you can compile on, for example, an ubuntu pc and have all the features.
provided you have enough storage space for the blockchain, that is.

This is too simplistic. The kernel is a Linux machine, but it's not true that anything that runs on Ubuntu would run on Android. Besides, there are important constraints in mobile devices, like battery life.

I was just saying that VNL can't claim "we are the only coin that can be compiled on android"
Where is that said and how is it exactly posed so that I can have an opinion? Just want to read the exact phrase to have an honest and fair opinion.

here:

https://twitter.com/vanillanewsbits/status/612402595714498561

Wondering about this.

What makes this coin more amenable to being compiled on various platforms compared to other coins?

Is there a compiler for iOS already?

Should the graphic instead say "compiled to run on any platform"?

No other coin can be compiled on Android or iOS.

What does this mean for you?  It means you can copy your wallet.dat from your iOS device or Android device and use it with your desktop client.

The iOS wallet is used by a number of people and it's on Apple TestFlight.

If you want to use the iOS wallet, just hop on IRC and ask xcore or tom_ewok for an invitation.
