3821  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will hit $1000 by this Friday (07-03-2014) on: March 07, 2014, 05:33:23 PM
it seems go under 500 usd !!!

No igorr it wont.

Stop trying to get your hands on cheap coins.
It doesn't get cheaper than this.

if you look at the trend Igorr's crazy suggestion is more accurate than a $1000 btc anytime soon

as for the birdie told you something, just because someone buys a lot of btc doesn't mean the price goes up, what if someone else decided to dump a whole  lot of btc, and what if the amount of btc buyers are a whole lot less than avg -- the result is down, down, and down.

If the Mt Gox money is not found btc is too risky for scaleable and responsible investment

Media hype will increase the price temporarily (5 days), major media news will boost the price for about a week, as the hot air dissipates btc will sink.  The only two things that could bring the market rates back up in a meaningful way is:

1) a solution for the missing money issue, if it isn't found then any exchange can do it again
2) the exchanges provide proof of solvency, work with certified date, sign transactions, provide guarantees, have insurance, be certified by the community, be bonded, be more accountable, be more transparent, provide better customer service

if #1 happens the market will shoot up to $1000 within a week from wherever it is, if #2 happens the market will grow incrementally in response and relation to what is done and how many exchanges do it, but btc will be stabilized.

lf #1 and #2 occur especially if #2 is first the market will see $1000 within a week, and as much as $1400 within a month.  Keep in mind, my numbers would represent real growth if you add the hype you could see $2000 btc.

OK, I will not comment about igorr, I have seen his posts and he as well as anonymint and others are constantly fighting BTC.

That being said, I heard that a huge (50KBTC) purchase would be made within the next few days.
That is a very large number and it would definitely shake things.

It didn't happen though (at least not yet).
I do not know if it is going to happen because of all the bad news, but the point is it didn't happen.

So I guess I was wrong.
I publicly admit it.

3822  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [VIDEO] Dorian S. Nakamoto clears his name in interview with AP on: March 07, 2014, 05:22:31 PM
what are the chance of Satoshi actually know Dorian ..... hence use his name?

I mean if Dorian was working on Quotron for Citigroup and then a project for defense department....etc Satoshi could have been his colleague

Possible, but why unless they were both in it at first and then Satoshi pulled back?

Also, if indeed this is the real Satoshi, wouldn't he have made plans in order to secure his way of life?

And I don't mean spending any of the first coins created, he could have easily made more coins by mining let's say (since he knows his creation is taking off) and live a better and more private life.

On the other hand, DPR was arrested in an appartment which he shared with roommates. And he did own a fair amount of cash.....

That being said, I doubt anybody will find out who Satoshi really is unless he decides to come out.

3823  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accounting software for bitcoins? on: March 07, 2014, 04:57:20 PM

I am feeling the 1000$ love.

I am willing to sell to the OP for just 900$ Grin

I am willing to sell to your for $1000  Grin

Then my prediction comes true!!!!!  more or less  Grin

dude, it looks like you got it backwards, instead of Friday being the high for the week it will likely be the low for the week

keep that up you will get evicted from the speculation table, and sent to the holders' table  Grin

Bro I didn't make that statement to gain anything out of it.

And to be honest with you, a little bird told me that someone is planning on purchasing a huge amount of coins within the next few days to start a new "thing" (that was on Monday).
Don't know what but the person that told me is trustworthy, to me.
Obviously that would drive the price up.

Then I also checked out the order book on Bitstamp and also checked out the news that Bitcoin is going forward not backwards (except from some bad news).
People were trying to get their hands on cheap coins while they still can.

Apparently though, all the hacks and stuff that is bad news for Bitcoin maybe scared the investor?

I don't know what else to say.

Like I said, I had nothing to gain from this.
In fact I purchased some coins while they were cheap.
Spend them of course to get more miners Smiley
Yeah, I think I am addicted to mining, even though I probably spend more than I make at this point  Undecided

That being said, I could be proven wrong and I have no problem making a public statement that my prediction was wrong.
In the end, I am not a stock market specialist  Wink
And all I said is that I expect Bitcoin to hit $1000 by today.

You do not deserve a single Satoshi.

I have nothing else to say to you.
May God have mercy on your soul.

You'll be happy to hear than the neither the world nor I give a rats ass what you believe I deserve or do not deserve. That's the beauty of this universe. You can have every opinion in the world and other don't have to care about any of your opinions.

What makes you think that hearing that makes me happy?

3838  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Protect Satoshi on: March 06, 2014, 10:34:00 PM
Why would we have to raise funds for someone that over $400 million in Bitcoins?

He can afford a tank, chopper, and a small militia for that amount.

No, he can't because if he uses even one of those BTC (if it is really him) then he will make things clear that he is Satoshi.

But if he is Satoshi, which looks very possible, he can figure out a way to do it anonymously(he is Satoshi for God's sake) without bringing attention to himself.

The guy (if it's him) created the dang protocol and is a cryptographic genius, but can't send a payment without detection???

Believe me, if it were him, he'd figure it out.

...and what if he's not. What if he's just another "foreign-looking" guy, but people think he's 'The One'.

People need to realize this.

I'm not condoning donations or such, but I really wish people would think outside the box and understand that if a person is believed to be someone they will be harassed or even murdered.

THANK YOU!!!!

That is what i am trying to tell them

Besides, if we join up now for this we put out a strong message.
3839  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Protect Satoshi on: March 06, 2014, 10:21:02 PM
Or is this just another scam attempt?
"Donations for Satoshi's protection"

Read my previous posts.

I am willing to donate the little bit I have, but not willing to handle the whole fund raising thing.
I would like a hero or senior member to do it.

3840  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Protect Satoshi on: March 06, 2014, 10:18:27 PM
You guys still don't get the point....

I don't think I will repeat my self again.
No point on talking to a wall.
I don't even get an echo back....

What point? That if he is the real Satoshi he has one million BTC making him much richer than all of us put together? Or that if he's not the real Satoshi but is claiming he is and effectively lying to everyone when he's really just a run of the mill broke like a joke old man?

If it's the prior, he doesn't need your donations; and if it's the latter he can go suck a bag of dicks for all I care. (I can't pull up the article right now, so correct me if I'm wrong and he isn't actually claiming to be the creator of Bitcoin)

You do not deserve a single Satoshi.

I have nothing else to say to you.
May God have mercy on your soul.
