3821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Discussion] Should Gambling be Banned? on: July 29, 2022, 02:29:27 AM

People who becomes more addictive needs to be given proper care. Gamblers used to turn addictive, but very rare incidents take place for the purpose of money to gamble ending into conviction. Same as de-addiction centre for alcohol, separate centre for gambling needs to be opened. This will help gamblers realise themselves and get cure.
That is correct - government get tax on the money - so why would government ban gambling?
Also the gambling is a huge benefit to the players and the authorities - this is really not possible to ban. Although it is banned in many Islamic states. But even than people find way to play and get benefited.

They would if they can't tax it. That's it.

All those pseudo-righteous governments banning gambling for the sake of "saving society" from problematic gamblers aren't really saving the society from anything. They are just trying to make it look like that so the public supports them from their advocacy. If they can find a way to impose  taxes on these platforms, then they would allow it. Easy as that.

I understand the Islamic states. It's part of their religion and beliefs. But other countries?  Cheesy
3822  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rise of Streamers in Online Gambling on: July 29, 2022, 01:39:54 AM
Some of these streamers are partnered with the casino that they are playing on to rake in new players. That is how they advertise their platform nowadays: showing people that it's possible to win big on these casinos and that they are very capable of doing the same. I've noticed that these streamers are hyping up their rather common gambling session and that they continuously point out the pros of the platform, without even mentioning the negatives on the place that they are playing on.

Thunder Awaken beat Beastcoast in a best of 5 by the score of 3-1 in the ESL One Malaysia 2022 South America: Closed Qualifier. Beastcoast took game 1 but Thunder Awaken just flipped their switches and pretty much beat Beastcoast in under 25 mins in each of the next 3 games(except one, which went 26mins). Thunder Awaken are actually looking like a very solid team and I cant wait to see them compete against other regions in ESL One Malaysia. The Chinese Closed qualifiers up next.

Thunder is pretty much on a higher tier than Beastcoast recently, although bc is still a great game dominator from the SA region. It's just that most of the time they fall off mid-game and they can't take a good grasp of their lead resulting into downfall. :/

As for the Chinese qualifiers, pretty sure it will be Aster that will get that spot considering that most of the teams in their bracket are div 2/div 3 teams with not enough experience fighting against tier 1/2 teams.
3824  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: July 28, 2022, 11:56:27 PM
Bonus paid every year is not bad idea, but it's not worth it for me or there must be some catch for this, maybe additional rules and turnovers.
Gambling website with many users like Stake will have to pay bonus to all kyc level2 users, so you can do the math and calculate how much money they will give.
Next thing could be some kyc3 level and they could ask even more stuff from users, maybe full history and medical information.

And why would a gambling site ask for medical information? That can certainly violate a lot of health privacy laws and regulations imposed from all over the world. The highest KYC I ever encountered is the physical address of the person and that's just it. KYC2 bonuses on stake is quite good although I don't think I'll be ready for that kind of commitment to my sports betting habits.
3825  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Terra Classic scam? on: July 28, 2022, 11:38:02 PM
I would say that it's not a scam like most people think it is, but the chances of it taking off again is extremely low. People already saw how this coin moved, and for sure they already have made some kind of impression to it as something that they would not invest on again. It already had its time, and perhaps some loyal followers would still buy into this thing, but sooner or later this will also lose traction and then die afterwards.
3826  Economy / Gambling / Re: Action 24/7 - The Premier Casino, Sportsbook, and Racebook on: July 28, 2022, 08:52:32 PM
Though I m trying to comprehend what OP is saying about something "Account must be created by an agent" does this mean you have to sign up for anyone who wants it? And would you do the funding or who else does the funding maybe if possible after creating the account can someone changes back his password if he wants to?
Please I need a feedback.

Yes, we have to manually sign up anyone who wants it. The funding would be a BTC address provided to you (or other crypto) that would also be manually applied to your account. This is all done manually for our mutual safety.

To change password, again, you would have to contact us and we would change the password manually.

There is no registration link whatsoever.

Agreed, it is all about trust, that is why we hope to build trust over time in this forum. All we can do is attempt to provide our services and hopefully users will be honest about our fast payments, etc.

How does you doing everything on our behalf manually impose mutual safety exactly? There is nothing mutual about the agent having all the information of the end user, and the end user just feeding money to the account and playing on it. The agent and the platform benefits from all of this, never the end user because they don't have any say on what's going to happen on the account. For all we know, the agent can just get the deposit of the player and not deposit it manually if the amount is so big. Every single thing about this 'agent system' in today's world is just screaming red flags all over the place for me.
3827  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Stolen Bitcoin Be Recovered on: July 28, 2022, 03:33:51 PM
What really impressed me about the post was the comment section, where readers shared their experiences utilizing bitcoin. One of the commenter named Paul Krebs described how he lost his bitcoin to a bogus blockchain.com imposter on Facebook, where they contacted him as blockchain official support. They gained access to his blockchain wallet, and 7.0938 BTC were taken. However, he claimed that the bitcoin was returned after he emailed a recovery expert with contact address - BLACKJOCKER10x @ PROTONMAIL COM. Different professionals who aid in retrieving stolen bitcoin were suggested by other commenters.

Ahhh, just no. The email address handle looks like it was created by a teen that thinks he's some kind of an evil incarnate of a mad computer scientist. For newbies like you, always remember that once bitcoins were transferred to another address you don't control, there is no way in hell that you can get them back. Consider it lost and just move on with your life. If coins were transferred to an exchange and the hacker is dumb enough to leave trails which will eventually be tracked, you still can't recover your coins but you can direct the law enforcement to help you with your case.
3828  Economy / Gambling / Re: Action 24/7 - The Premier Casino, Sportsbook, and Racebook on: July 28, 2022, 01:46:51 PM
Ahh it's similar to those casinos that my friend is recommending me a few days back. You'll have to get in touch with an agent to have your account created, and then this agent will process all your deposits and withdrawals. Honestly I have no problem with that if that system is working for them, but there is already a possible point of failure and that is the agent itself. Not saying that not everyone can be trusted, but it's better to have yourself create your account so that you're sure that in the event of a hack, you have no one to blame but the platform or yourself.
3829  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - 🦉 Drake, UFC, Watford Main Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: July 28, 2022, 10:08:52 AM
I've asked their live support now on their website about it and they replied quickly that they don't allow vpn anymore.

That's a somewhat vague reply from Live Support regarding the use of VPN. They refer to their Terms of Use, despite the fact that VPN is mentioned only once in their ToS, and that's in the context of circumventing geo-blocking or jurisdictional restrictions using VPN and similar technologies.

So, I think using a VPN at Stake.com online casino is okay, except if we are placing bets from jurisdictions where we aren't allowed to do so.

The support personnel had already stated that using VPN is not allowed at stake.  What isn't clear on that?  It is true that when you use a VPN you manipulate and fake your location.  It thus circumvents geo-blocking or jurisdiction restriction, like bypassing the game provider's geo-blocking making those who were blocked by the game provider access their games.  Between our opinion and the stake staff's answer, the Stake staff statement weighs more.

Well there is a difference when you're from a location where geo-blocking isn't imposed and you use VPN just to mask your true location for privacy purposes. On the support staff's statement, there isn't anything that explicitly states that VPN usage is prohibited. They just mentioned that if VPN is used in gaming the system, or in the support's words, intent to circumvent geo-blocking or jurisdiction restrictions, they are going to take some actions because it violates their terms.
3830  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The characteristics of people who are addicted to online gambling on: July 28, 2022, 08:15:46 AM

Definitely, sport betting is much better, we have the higher odds of winning. And when we follow the sports that we have been betting, for sure, you really know who has the good chance and that's where you put your money. So it boils down to individual preferences I guess.

Everything about gambling is luck I don't think it has something to do with the particular game you choose to gamble on. Betting on sports (soccer) may appear very simple and easy to win since we believe that we are familiar with the two teams that are playing but the reverse has always been the case because the teams we believe so much that has the higher chance of winning based on the quality of the players they have or the position and form of the team at the moment don't always win matches as expected, or they will win but not with plenty goals which will be the most options predicted by gamblers.

That's why we have odds on sports betting. If it's pure luck then there should have been no odds on each team at all, just flat out 50/50 for them since it's each match is a game of chance. Compared to casino games, sports betting gives people a lot more 'control' on how would they approach their wins. They are given options to choose on where to place their bet, thus in the end they can win pretty easily as opposed to luck-based games out there (dice, slots, roulette).

But at the end of the day, even if sports betting is generally better and easier to make some bank on, it's still gambling. It can still produce problematic gamblers in the long run if these guys do not control how they are going to play the game.
3831  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [DOTA2] PGL Arlington Major 2022 Prediction Thread on: July 28, 2022, 06:37:52 AM
I'm rooting for Outsiders to at least secure a better position for this particular tournament. Gpk showed us that he still got it, although there are times that his mid lane's lack of rotations around the map can hinder him from being enabled. He's not a typical lane dominator, nor is he an aggressive carry that can work hand in hand with his support to farm for kills, but his ability to find farm even though the map is already closed in against his team is what's really impressive for me. Well, DM is great in creating space, there's that, but still.

I am expecting those who needs DPC points to step up. Maybe team Spirit can win this tournament this time. They lost to LGD in Riyadh, maybe they want to make a comeback here.

Team Spirit just finished 3rd place on the list DPC Tounament in EEU while most of the teams in WEU is not completed on Riyadh Master tournament. Most of the powerhouse team in every region didn't enter on Riyadh Master while LGD and Team Spirit has a complete line-up that's why they manage to be on the finals/ I believe a different story will happened on Majors because there's a lot at stake in there because of the DPC points which is crucial for TI.

Team Secret isn't also complete on their lineup. They have Resolution as a stand-in but they still did well, even going so far as being undefeated for a time being before they slipped away from that footing.

Complete Tundra and Liquid are the best team in the league that can rival LGD. LGD got beaten badly by Team Secret on Riyadh so they are not unbeatable if they fight the right team that has a consistent play. Team Spirit is out of gas after they manage to beat Team Secret on a close fight. The finals on Riyadh should be best of 5 so that team can have a chance to recover on an early deficits. LGD and other teams that secured TI might not give 100% here since the DPC points is the highlights of the rewards for this Major. Westill have 1 week of waiting.

I beg to differ. Tundra's style of play does not match the aggression of PSG.LGD in mid game. As for Liquid, they do have a funky way of handling mid game to enable their cores before they make moves, while PSG.LGD is just constantly throwing them anything that they have to make them respond to those. The team who doesn't respond to the aggression of PSG.LGD wins the game, that's what I noticed.
3832  Economy / Gambling / Re: A New Era for Betting - (After Corona Circumstances) on: July 27, 2022, 08:11:00 PM
A lot of it has to do with the government regulating people's actions. Its mostly artificial so I doubt that it will stay as a long-time trend. Things will slowly but surely go back to how they were, so online gambling casinos as well as physical casinos should see this as a short setback. I think they would have been better prepared if the governments gave a few months warning before implementing further restrictions and lockdowns. Most people had no idea what the government was going to do next and it really messed up people's businesses.

Outbreaks do not wait for anyone, so I don't think that giving casinos the leeway of waiting for a few months to get ready would help either sides anyway. More and more people would just contract the virus and more and more funds will be spent to healthcare, which may force the government to order lockdowns that are even longer compared to when they ordered everything a little earlier. That will hurt their profits even more IMO, and business owners don't usually like that.
3833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Fengshui on: July 27, 2022, 06:30:09 PM
I'm more into superstitious since only believers see the difference while non-believers can't explain how things work, especially inside gambling where most of the time it's about luck and how you'll going to play with your emotions nad controls. Fengshui is available around
selected places where Chinese culture was being adopted.

Not an expert and also not that kind of believer, I will not argue if there's other people who see this as effective as it can be.

Most of the time it's just luck. No need for in-depth explanation. If the jackpot falls unto you then it's your lucky day. If not, then that's different. Feng shui and other beliefs exist to strengthen or condition the human mind to be positive, but it does not, in any way, affect reality whatsoever. It's okay to believe them but not to the point that you'll be basing everything on what a thousand-year old belief system says.
3834  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi’s exit - planned from day 1? on: July 27, 2022, 04:20:04 PM
For me, I feel as if there's really not much Satoshi needs to do after they were able to source out brilliant minds from all over the world working together on this project. They saw that bitcoin is already taking off and being noticed by a lot of people, and before someone from the community unveils Satoshi's real identity, they have to jump ship and abandon their responsibility on the project. Moreover, since bitcoin's ideology is centered on not having a central authority, it's just common sense that Satoshi leaves, as for sure they will be reinstated as the de facto figurehead of bitcoin even if it's not really the case.
3835  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos You're Playing That Are not On This Forum on: July 27, 2022, 09:22:58 AM
Well, there are a handful of physical casinos that I'm playing on during the weekends which are obviously not on this forum. Some other online casinos that focuses on slots that use fiat for deposit, too. Those do not qualify as they are only small-time casinos that are unregulated but man, the amount of people that they can rake in at a given time is still impressive.

As a rule of thumb though, if I see a crypto casino that is not advertising its business in bitcointalk, I tend to avoid them at all costs. There is a reason why they do not choose this forum as a platform to announce that their business is existing. I might be wrong in so many levels but that's just based on my experience in the years that I've been gambling with crypto.
3836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The digital ID for Gambling on: July 27, 2022, 07:57:04 AM
In some way, governments want to take over a part of gambling, bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, they do not want to lose control, in order not to lose it, they have certain licenses in their possession, certain treaties that make KYC exist, of course in an intelligent way They get in saying that for the protection of the player and so that they are not scammed, but we all know that the true intention is to know which people handle crypto and how much, if KYC did not exist, it would be more difficult for them, it is because of them that even if casinos implemented Monero transactions it would be a bit more tedious for governments to find out.

It's more like they are getting 2 benefits at the same time by implementing KYC details.
They can track their customers holdings as well as restrict people from entering into certain crypto platforms.
No doubt they hate monero since it disrupts all their plans.

Yes, and that is something that I have always wondered, because what would happen if a casino offers transactions with Monero? obviously it would be the target of all the organizations, I think they could suffer from certain accusations, such as money laundering, illicit money, money for drugs, among others, I think these could be the accusations that they could make against the casinos, although it could bring many customers without a doubt if they offer total discretion and total privacy, it would be one of the most sought after casinos by players, even some whales could go and stay there because I'm sure that will be the trend once adoption is achieved crypto.

There were casinos that intentionally mentioned the use of privacy coins at their launch, and even that didn't secure them the player base that you are mentioning because people are focused more on established casinos that already has a name on the industry. People are fine using the traditional cryptocurrencies as is even without the added layer of protection, so long as there are no KYC involved in the platform itself. Ever wonder why there are no successful privacy-centric casinos that mainly focuses on privacy coins? Because they tend to forget that gamblers go to the platform to play and not to be "extra safe" that they neglect improving what they offer and focused on security and privacy instead.
3837  Economy / Gambling / Re: is there a sportsbook that gives risk free bet or freebet to the first bet? on: July 27, 2022, 05:15:35 AM
Feel free to check on promotion tabs.
- Stake
- Duelbits
- Sportbet

But, I don't think they have an offer right now. A long time ago, my list casino make promotion with 100% free bet or 50% free bet refund. Feel free to wait until there has some promotion again.

This promotion most the time getting a target for abuse by some people, that's why they not always use this promotion.
Stake doesn't offer free bets for the first bets as requested by Sensetive03. They used to offer few risk free bets (ie the stake is refunded when the bet loses) but an ante wager requirement was needed. Now they seem to offer half-refunded bets from time to time, but we can't call that free bets or risk-free bets. If your bet loses, you will still lose half of your stake after getting the refund.
For Sportsbet and Duelbits, yes AFAIK they are regularly offering freebets or risk-free bets in their promotions without any wagering requirement.

Sportsbet holds this risk-free bet during huge major tournaments, though I'm not completely sure what are the terms for that one. Most bookies right now do not have this promotion all throughout their existence since there is a chance that this system can be gamed by players cunning enough to bypass all the security and protective measures in place.

If you're looking for a promotion-rich platform, Sportsbet and Stake is the place to go, with the former having lots of promotions all throughout the year.
3838  Economy / Gambling / Re: The Biggest Wins with lowest risks in Casino History on: July 27, 2022, 04:19:51 AM
Everyone knows that gambling is a combination of luck and skill, but how much control can you have over luck? Gamblers are spending thousands of dollars or more, what did we get in return? But there are many people in this world who spend very little but get a lot.

Name           Spend        Winning Reward           Casino Name                               Year

Archie Karas   $50         $40 million                  Las Vegas casinos                    1995

anonymous      $3         $38.7 million          Excalibur hotel-casino,Las Vegas       2003

anonymous     $17         $22 million             Napoleon Sports & Casino               2021

Jon Heywood   30 cents      $18 million                  Mega Moolah jackpot            2015

https://www.europeanbusinessreview.com/the-biggest-wins-in-casino-history/

So I think people who don't have enough money should gamble with small amounts of money which would be comparatively less risky.

Do you have any memorable events where your expenses were very low but you got relatively high returns in casino gambling or any kind of Sports betting?

These wins are indeed one in a million (no pun intended), and for sure it took a lot of bets before they finally hit the jackpot. Just look at how many bets seonincorporation took before he hit those jackpots in his last few threads. Most of these guys surely would have spent a ton before they made those bank, and for sure it will be the same for us too. I believe that these jackpots have its own 'trigger' after x bets, hence why these lucky people got it with just a small amount of bet at the time that the jackpot landed on them. Also, maybe these jackpots are handed out after a certain time to establish that the casino is 'all fair and square' after raking huge sums from those machines itself.
3839  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: July 27, 2022, 03:13:14 AM
Ancajas' team is quite lacking in terms of the tools and equipment to give him proper training. Hopefully someone will take him under their wing to provide him with the necessary training and equipment for him to get the best out of his skills and his technical abilities. Most of the boxers here in the Philippines have the chance to be the next Manny Pacquiao only if they got the proper training that they needed to level up their game. Then again, it depends on the will and determination of the fighter in the end. The last loss of Ancajas isn't really pleasing given that he lost to an underdog. Hopefully he bounces back and proves himself to the world stage again.
