3821  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Types of Bitcoin Users on: June 03, 2016, 06:58:19 PM
I'm idealist so they was right about that type. I think mowt of us here are idealist, we like this idea behind bitcoin and blockchain.

No,I'm not an idealist ,neither was Satoshi. Whatever we have around has quite a number of practical appliances.Bitcoin was more of a feasible idea rather than an ideology.

About other people I don't onow what to say, there will be bad and evil people always. System is like that, system make peopledo that kind of things. Not all of us had a pleasure to be happy and to have happy childhood.

By system what you're referring to ? I can assure you the system created by Blokchain is encouraged by all the individual thinkers and rationalists.

I think we will see more types in the future. How btc movement grows more and more people willjoin. Logic says that we need to expect anything to happen.

That is a lie. That is not Logical at all.Logic says,Government are another altcoin projects are trying hard to take over bitcoin and utilize blockchain as much as possible.DAO's and ETH bullcrap.

Hello,
I'm interested in this as I'm just getting back into this forum after a period of long inactivity. I'm not yet 100% sure if I can commit to a consistent 10 quality posts a week yet, so is it possible that there would be room later on to join?

Sure do you mind signing a message from 1EYhYbBKRSM85EaoUbgQmnCwQerQWL99so address to prove that your account was not bought ? From November 2015 to June 2016 involves too much of inactivity.
3824  Economy / Services / Re: .torrent file to direct download on: June 02, 2016, 09:13:05 PM

Thanks, I actually need to send the file to a friend. He knows nothing about torrent files, and I am currently away from home. But I have the file on my seedbox. I don't want him to know anything about torrents in particular, which is why just wanted to send him a direct download link.

Okay ,Let's solve this for you :

1.Create a new account at : https://boxopus.com/

2.Sign up for their weekly plan which charges $1 for 100GB's of data .

3.Upload your torrent file or the magnet link, your file will be downloaded in a folder on their website .

4.Share the download link with your friend or just give him your boxopus account details so he can download the file directly. He would not have idea about the torrents either.
3825  Economy / Services / Re: .torrent file to direct download on: June 02, 2016, 08:34:12 PM
Need someone with good speed to download a .torrent file(video file inside) and upload it to wetranfer(site to send files to email).
File size is around 1.5 GB. Message if anyone can do this for 0.002 BTC

Torrent is private.
Don't do that.If its a video file ,you can simply stream it from this app called Popcorn Time or copy paste the magnet link into the app.If you do that, the file will be streamed instantly while being downloaded to your local drive.Much simpler solution than uploading .
3826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: June 02, 2016, 08:00:21 PM
Worcestershire vs Yorkshire well these are most difficult to predict matches are where I really feel trouble to interpenetrate the result for money line.I have another way of getting some nice profit in under/over sixes where over 12.5 sixes is good @1.94 odds.I will also include highest 6 over score Worcestershire @1.78 to gain maximum out of it.

The thing about betting on such teams is ,they're very unpredictable in terms of sixes and wickets.Like for every other match in the IPL ,I can easily win on under/over sixes. As you see,you lost the bets already if you actually put money on the above predictions.I'd say bet only on the World Cup qualifying teams for assured wins.
3827  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What percentage of assets should be in Bitcoin? on: June 02, 2016, 07:53:29 PM
That depends on your total income probably.

Its not wise to even invest 30-40% of your total assets into bitcoins.People should realize that its an experimental currency and there are numerous risks involves.Trading or investing a few bits around the exchanges is fine but not to a level where your half life revolves around it.Again,it depends on how monthly wages and what goes into the saving.A rough estimate of 5-8% of my savings should probably make it into the bitcoin wallets. We hate fiats but in the real world ,that is only used for survival.

I invested all my money in bitcoin , im ready to lose or win , time will tell .... i made a lot of bad decision in my life so if all goes bad ... this wont be my worst decision .... you guys can do what ever u want and many say "invest what u can afford to lose" ... i say that "you cannot win if you dont risk"
Taking risk and playing dumb don't get along.Taking a risk is studying 10 questions out of 20 from the exam syllabus since you thought they seem more important and they're advised by the teacher too.Playing dumb is studying any random 10 questions from 20 without any reasons.Okay I suck at real life implications but get the point.
3828  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin the sole accepted currency on new social media website on: June 02, 2016, 07:45:36 PM
Just saw a new startup social media site called HangBee that has a big emphasis on user privacy and is using Bitcoin as the sole currency on the site.  You can check out their Kickstarter page here: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/918187197/hangbee-discover-the-new-way-to-connect/description
Social Media and anonymous ? Aren't they opposite to each other ? I mean the point why its called Social Media is because you can be social around the Internet and not anonymous exactly. From the quote below it seems more like a market place.Nothing new.

I personally think this is great to see but am slightly unsure about it.  Thoughts?
Everything else is just basic apart from the coin mixing part.

I think anyone without megatrillions launching a social site needs their heads examined. There's no way of competing with the titans. Even google couldn't really pull it off.
Aren't you talking about facebook ? If yes, trust me if someone can actually pull it off ,facebook ending days shall be seen soon.People are bored of it already.
3829  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin core problem on: June 02, 2016, 07:39:54 PM
I saw many people telling its not hackable

Not hackable on an individual forefront.Bitcoin core runs on a peer to peer network ,there is always a insecurity someone might just disrupt the network and maybe it will affect your computer in some or the other way .

Thanks mates, will try the - prune option, by the way is this the most secure and less hackable bitcoin wallet out there, it appears this to be by reading in the forum. I may switch from Multibit to this one especially now that multibit is being sold to keepkey.
Choose Electrum over multibit. In multibit at times you will have to reload the blockchain over and over so it remains in synch.Electrum is hassle free.
3830  Other / Meta / Re: Stake your Bitcoin address here on: June 02, 2016, 07:31:17 PM

I tried two different websites to verify your signature but unable to verify it. What is your message?
Tried the third row but does not work. Message can't be empty.

Did you actually try to verify a signed message without knowing the message ? That's very wise of you.How did you get the Hero Rank ?
3831  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is your favorite slot game and game provider? on: June 02, 2016, 07:23:25 PM
Favorite Slot game : https://www.crypto-games.net/slot.aspx?coin=BTC

Game provider : https://www.crypto-games.net

Reasons : Unlike other Slot Games ,this slot supports number of Altcoins. No fancy annoying animations ,just simple provably fair machine which keeps me hooked on to it.Most of the slots don't really work with verifiable last client seeds ,but I think this slot is the first one I have encountered where I can randomize the next client seed.
3832  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin transaction fees on: June 02, 2016, 07:03:49 PM
I often send small amount of Bitcoin around 100,000 satoshi, is there a way to avoid paying a fee that is a significant proportion of the amount sent?
You can choose to avoid paying fee completely if it was 2013 and we had n number of miners.Times have changed, block rewards are low, solo miners can't really afford doing stuff for free while paying a good amount for electricity charges. If you just google a bitcoin transaction calculator ,you will be presented with a lot of options.Although I advice you to pay a little more then the calculated fee if you don't have the patience to watch your transaction getting accepted by the node on low priority basis.
3833  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Roger Ver and blocksize on: June 02, 2016, 06:57:38 PM
and why should Laudas opinion matter.
he doesnt know C++. and has never read a line of bitcoin code.
So to comment about bitcoin or generally share your opinion ,one has to read the entire source code from the core repository ? Wish that rule was implemented in the forum too,we will have all smart people around.

The real question is why do you care what Roger Ver thinks? As far as I'm concerned, his opinions are as valuable as those of any other random human on this planet. He dislikes Core, he dislikes Segwit, and r/bitcoin and BTCT. Do I need to say more?
Don't you know Roger Ver is an  - Bitcoin Angel Investor & Bitcoin Evangelist ? Well that's what his official website says and hence his opinions do matter to those who follow him.I don't see anything wrong with that.
3834  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Muslim Bitcoiner on: June 02, 2016, 06:50:37 PM
@OP : Why gel technology and religion together ? They are two separate things ,without technology there are no advancements.Religion is big obstruction ,restricting people from crossing their ethical borders.

I always get nervous trading with names like Muhammad for fear of it being terrorist shit... not to be racist or anything.
No shit!  I sure don't want a fucking bomb sent to my computer with some bitcoin!  Fuck that.

That is very racist. How can you even judge by person by their name ? Not every Muslim dealing with bitcoins is an ISIS anyway.

Waalaikumsalam
I was a Muslim and I was bitcoiners, I am currently trying to collect a lot of bitcoin in preparation for Ramadan, this makes me very excited  Grin

was* did you change your religion ? Why ? What does bitcoins has to do with Ramadan ? Can you buy Ramadan stuff using bitcoins ? Roll Eyes

It's all good in Islam, IMO. I don't think it's Haram, as it's a currency. But make sure that you don't gamble or earn interest through different HYIP's/Ponzis, and God knows much better.
Now, you should CLOSE this thread. It can get much worse and off-topic.
Its actually good to have discussions of this sort.Gives me a clear view of people using bitcoins from different parts of the World. Also ,never know a technology can be considered as Haram.
3835  Other / MultiBit / Re: I cannot get my bitcoins from my multibit classic wallet on: June 02, 2016, 06:41:24 PM
1.Do you mind sharing your address so we can confirm you actually have money in it ?

2.As recommended above try updating your wallet to 0.5.19.

Other suggestions which you could try even after updating if your balance is not shown.
-Make sure your computers clock is showing the correct time.
-Try resetting a couple of times more since reloading the blockchain takes time.I had the same issue I rest the Block chain and Transactions for about 5 times ,finally worked. And its advised to do it like 3 times at least.

At last, this your last option .Let me know if you're willing to use Electrum ,I will link you to a procedure to import the keys .
Quote
As a last resort you can attempt to "sweep the balance". This involves exporting your private keys without password protection into another wallet application and then using that application to send the entire balance back to MultiBit Classic using a fresh wallet.

We consider this a last resort because private keys stored without password protection should be considered compromised. Malicious code on your computer could steal or copy the keys and spend the balance.

If you decide that this must be done then make sure that you don't use the private keys (and their associated addresses) again. We don't advise deleting them, just mark them as "DO NOT USE" in the wallet with the problem. That way if someone does happen to send bitcoin to them you still have the private keys to sweep the funds into a safe wallet.
3836  Economy / Economics / Re: A bitcoin based stock market on: June 02, 2016, 06:31:39 PM
The point has been brought up several times and presented with a list of factors contributing to its advantages and disadvantages.Depends how you look at it as its practically hasn't been implemented yet.I'd like to answer your question with my opinions below .

Bitcoin itself is an investment, unlike fiat.We have barely seen people holding fiat as investment as the prior basis. On the other side stock market is completely based on fiat and shares give a value to your fiat but the price fluctuations. The point is,here fiat has to reside or depend on an external commodity to give itself some value.Standalone ,fiat won't be much value apart from its actual price.

Bitcoin could be seen as an direct attribute not depending on any other factors for its value norms. To clear my point,if you buy 2 bitcoins at $400 and sell it for $500 when the price rises ,you're not really investing into a 3rd party attribute but the bitcoin itself. If you consider stock market ,it would be pointless in buying shares with bitcoins ,as you have two away risks involved. Moreover companies will never allow it,as they're equally at risk if they take bitcoin as basis for their stocks.

3839  Economy / Lending / Re: Before you post on a loan thread on: May 28, 2016, 10:19:40 AM
I see this constantly and its so obvious that the user is trying to get extra post/activity but it has to stop.
What am i talking about?
For example people that are posting threads about request for a loan without a collateral, i'm pretty sure they only need one person to write "No Collateral no loan". Instead of the whole 90% of the replies saying the exact same thing.
So before you post pleasseee stop trying to get your activity up and just don't post. Simple. If someone has posted that response no need to repeat it.
Welcome to Bitcointalk ,the most beloved place on the Internet full of Generous People.

People are beyond helpful here ,the moment you post a query ,you will be hit with a train of comments ranging from how, why, where and a few broken English suggestions. But hey English is not the way to judge someone's Intelligence right ? Wrong, that fact doesn't apply here when you wear a cool YoShit signature and probably others too.The moment your problem is fixed, you will be presented with beautiful future advice's including which planet should you choose before taking the birth next time. And it doesn't stop there, your query will keep getting supportive answers even if you stop visiting the forum,Internet or the entire planet in general after your funeral.Helpful our posters are mate, beyond fucking helpful you'd ever imagined.
3840  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Is Bitstrategy a Legitimate site. on: May 28, 2016, 09:29:26 AM
Scam.I know the website has enough information to make it look as legit as possible but trust me everything including the company's official memorandum is fake. You can see the contact details and the domain hosting details too, don't match along with the respective nations. You know their section of official agents is fake too, trying opening their connected facebook accounts.
