3821  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: July 09, 2021, 01:54:56 PM

My decision with betting in game 3 is very difficult for me there is a thing that keeps saying that Milwaukee Bucks will win this game 3 and because this is their home court pretty sure there are advantages for the Bucks that the bookies are Seeing.

If we think of a good NBA Finals, it should not be a sweep for the Suns even if they'll win the series. I'm thinking, the best spot we got is betting on the Bucks in game 3 because as what the history said, no NBA team has come back from 0-3 deficit, so Bucks would not allow that to happen and hopefully they'll get some help from the refs too.

This is the first NBA finals that is outside the bubble in the pandemic, as much as possible the league would want this to be an exciting one, and Bucks losing in a 4-0 series is not exciting at all. So let's assume or expect that the Suns will bounce back in game 3 and win the game. IMO, this series will end in 6 or 7, as to the winner, not sure what team.
3822  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 09, 2021, 01:40:59 PM
The bucks don't know what hit them, three points are coming from everywhere when the bucks are closing in, paul make points and plays for the team, what a game by the suns, the bucks offense are good but the suns are flawless, they step on the gas when the bucks are making a rally, and doing it beautifully with nice plays, booker also played well tonight and supporting cast of the suns, no way that bucks can overcome that offense.

The chance of the Bucks here is if the Suns will miss 3 point shots. Maybe they should put more defense, on the guards as they are really a great shooter.
Phoenix shoots 20-40 or 50% from 3 point line in game 2, that's unacceptable, Bucks should improve their defense as the Suns are easily getting good looks.

There's no need to clag down inside as the Bucks had an advantage to that due to Giannis and Lopez's height.

They limited Ayton with 10 points only but they allow the 3 point shooters an easy look.

We have to reflect on that, Suns are really good as they know how to adjust to the game of the Bucks, unfortunately, the BUcks doest not have that kind of good adjustment in game 2, so the Suns still beat them and put them in 0-2 disadvantage. What's the purpose of Giannis scoring 42 points when they still lose by double-digit? it's not fulfilling because this game is won by teamwork.
3823  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Manny Pacquiao vs Errol Spence Jr - August 21 on: July 09, 2021, 01:01:41 PM
No backing down for  Pacquiao, he will continue to fight big names in boxing, and he will also continue to run for Presidency.

I read some news that he is already getting into sparring sessions, he fought professional boxers with 5'10'' height and the same style with Spence. Manny's camp really prepared for this and they will ensure they'll get this win although they are still the underdog until now.

That's one thing about Manny and his camp, they really prepared for this kind of big fights and looking for sparring partner that can emulate how Spence stance and height is. George Kambosos, Teo Lopez next opponent used to be one of Manny's sparring partner and probably will boost his confidence against Lopez.

I was surprised though to see Ivan Redkach as Manny's new sparring partner, I guess the because of the height at 5′ 9½″.

Because Manny is very popular to the media and they open the training to the media, it gives us the opportunity to see more updates about him and to see how he prepared for this fight. If we are convince that he is well conditioned, then there's no reason not to bet on him since he is the underdog.
3824  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Question for bitcoin traders !!! on: July 09, 2021, 10:48:02 AM
Actually bitcoin always experience such situation wherein even before. So don't fell and follow in your emotions because as long as you will stay holding the chance to regain all your losses is still in your hands.  So be patient instead of worrying because that's common now due to some whale's that always manipulate the market.. Control your emotions and never give up mate it will recover anytime soon. Just relax..
Frustration and market disappointments are really what we commonly feel when we suffered losses. No one could escape this thing, honestly. If we just give up and leave crypto, we have no chance to recover our losses but there is one thing that we need to look at ourselves if we can really do trading. Because some traders are pretending to be good and know what they did but the reality is that they don't have any knowledge about trading, only they just know the basics and this is not enough to make a good profit in here, but most likely it was just losses.
3825  Economy / Speculation / Re: Anything particular causing these declines? on: July 09, 2021, 10:21:51 AM
China continues to suppress Bitcoin, ban Bitcoin mining, and close mining farms. The Chinese government bans Bitcoin transactions, and FUD from China has a certain impact on the price of Bitcoin. This impact should be temporary. China's repeated attacks on Bitcoin have not been able to defeat Bitcoin's status.
Isn't China, the banning that they made had a fewer impact but of course, it contributes to the current decline but if we blame them as the main reason, I don't think so. Because if we try to figure out, El Salvador legalizing Bitcoin had also an impact on the trend but unfortunately, we've not seen it much, I mean there are no changes on the trend.

So my answer is, it is a normal market trend. Nothing had caused this decline but it all just how the market supply and demand changing accordingly, IMO.
3826  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The most profitable gambling strategies, what are they? on: July 08, 2021, 09:53:48 PM
In the short term, can you tell me what strategy managed to make you win over $200 over the course of the game?

Hard to say what strategy I will suggest as every game has a different strategy, and for me, what's important is a long-term success than the short term as short wins will not make us successful unless you won in a lottery.

What game are you playing by the way? if there's a house edge, then don't bother to experiment with a strategy as no working strategy for that, unless your aim is to minimize your losses, we have that.
3827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: July 08, 2021, 09:43:14 PM
Good vibes we got here. Grin

Seems like the chance of getting the PBA to start this season is very high, so I guess let's start celebrating now as for sure, after the NBA Finals, we have another fun basketball to watch. The announcement was made this month regarding IATF matters but I'm sure they had already worked out on that before and just a little review of the application by the approving agency, then we will see a successful opening of the PBA, hopefully not w bubble set up.

Yup, chances that the 46th season will start this month is high as MMDA is very much willing to help the PBA in its operation.

After the NBA finals, most likely the PBA will open, and for us basketball fanatics and crypto bettors, the fun never stops hehe.

Count me in, I'm one of the fans that are so excited to see the PBA start soon.

Yes, this month is great timing, after the NBA Finals, our focus is on the PBA, and since they'll likely make it on a daily basis, then we will have more fun.

I really hope there will be no more problems, and the next announcement is already the approval that the season will start on a specific date.
3828  Economy / Economics / Re: The first rule of investing is saving on: July 08, 2021, 01:01:28 PM
Saving is the hardest part of our life, especially when we just only get enough for our necessities. I couldn't say that they don't have a better future but something they miss the best opportunity of their life.

Maybe we are so thankful that we have been given a chance to invest in crypto as not all have the capabilities to do this. If I would like to save, I certainly have to invest this rather than keeping on my wallet or deposited it in the bank. It doesn't matter if I don't have real money in my pocket but al least I have some investment that could save me and give me profit in the future.

Because for me, Invest now, save later.
3829  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fear : The Debacle of a Trader on: July 08, 2021, 03:51:16 AM
Trading is somewhat pressured and you need to decide quickly as the time moving and as well as the price. Having in FEAR, I'm not sure how a trader could survive as this will lead to nowhere and mostly wrong decisions.

The reason why we should have and must think to control our emotions because this is a big factor that could affect our mindset. The majority of the traders had lost because they also lose their minds and uncontrollable emotions. But to be honest, it is really hard to do this, it takes time and commitment.
3830  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it worth buying other cryptocurrencies other than bitcoin? on: July 08, 2021, 03:12:31 AM
In addition to Bitcoin, there are many other good currencies, but not altcoins are worth investing in.
The coins next to Bitcoin are altcoins. Maybe you are thinking about stable coins, not cryptocurrencies.

Quote
You can first understand the situation of altcoins. Some altcoins are deceptive. If you invest, the most important thing is that you have enough funds and patience to choose a better altcoin. A short-term decline does not make much sense. do not worry. Investing in anything is risky, so be sure to keep your mindset.
Definitely, right. The majority of the altcoins are worthless and risky for investment but despite this situation, many were still able to manage and find good investment among the thousand shitcoins. They are making a profit and that happens because they conduct research, explore the market and trust the project they invest in.

But if we are not sure what we are doing, what we invest, that surely would end at loss and frustration.
3831  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Donaire II discussion on: July 07, 2021, 10:23:25 PM
I'm not sure if Donaire really needs this revenged fight in the nearest future,  maybe in a year or two but definitely not  right now. He needs to improve his boxing technique ( particular the  hand protections and the ability to correct distance measuring to make a decisive punch) to withstand the Inoue's mastership in the ring.  But first and foremost, he has to learn how to through his punches before Innoue and to do this he needs to fight with a few really fast opponents.

Donaire has been a pro for 20 years and is in his late 30s. If he is not ready for Inoue now then he will never be. At his age he needs to maximize his earnings and Inoue is his best chance at doing that. He might not even have two years left in his career. It is time to seize the opportunity if it is there for him.

Better to go all in as time is no longer a friend for Donaire, taking this chance of asking a rematch is a good choice for his camp. It won't need a lots of time to check those old tapes and start forming good strategies to improved his chance to win against Inoue.

Bookies will surely favor Inoue but knowing Donaire and how he showcased his capabilities the last time he fought.

Chances to win still possible, just have to add some good combos and try to throw much heavier punch, the last time they've met he
throws and connects those solid punch but Inoue is just receiving it as if there's nothing hitting his face.

Easier said than done, Donaire did some big damage to Inoue on their last fight but Inoue survives and still dictated the pace. Donaire is not done yet, he is a champion now, but Inoue is just on a different level and I would not expect a different result than the past fight if they'll have a rematch.

Donaire had thrown big shots on Inoue, but Inoue was able to handle those punches, and that made Donaire tired and Inoue took that opportunity to go for the kill although the fight ended in the judges's scorecards.
3832  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 07, 2021, 10:08:38 PM
I myself have underestimated them at the start of the post season. I though they were just lucky they get passed the Lakers in the first round because Davis struggle to play throughout that series. But they proved me wrong. Ayton, Booker, CP3, and the rest of the Suns seems like in a perfect sync this post season.
Even If they can't win the Finals this year, I believe they'll still be intact next season as they are a power house team in the West.
It will be harder for them to win the next championship because the Lakers and other strong teams have enough time to rest until next season. I mean, players won't be injured as often as they have been this season. Anyway, the Suns have all chance to win this final if they will be playing as well as in the first game.

Everyone seems to be talking about the Suns winning in the Finals, what if the Bucks will win in game 2?
That's normal mate, everyone was already convinced that the Suns will win as before game 1, they are already a series favorite.
Now, that the Bucks lost one game, that convinces them that the Suns could dominate the Bucks.

what would be the speculation then? I get it, the Suns had a great game 1 performance, but we still can't deny that the Bucks came from hard-fought before going to the NBA Finals, therefore, I believe they'll not easily give up the fight here and would bounce back soon.

Let's see, I'm sure it will favor the Bucks as they'll be recognized for their good play since winning on the road is tough, especially against the Suns who are a great team. Bucks have a lot of time to bounce back, remember that in the 2nd round and 3rd round, the Bucks lost in game 1, but they bounce back to win the series.
3833  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: holding is not an easy thing on: July 07, 2021, 01:24:09 PM
On March 12th last year, I did not have firm conviction. I sold Bitcoin and lost 4 BTC. I have been regretting it all the time.
I was still a novice at the time and did not follow the advice of my friends holding 80% of the positions.
It is too difficult to be a firm holder. Angry
Too bad you did an early decision that made you regret forever. Well, it's still not that late. You can still collect and buy bitcoins until you reach 4 btc or more again.

You're a novice by that time and you got 4 btc? how much you bought those?
He probably has the money that able to acquire 4BTC, and besides, it was cheaper than the price of today. However, it very unfortunate that he is not sure about what he invests and simply gets affected by FUDs and some sort of negativity. Truly, he is a novice in this platform. But don't consider it was a big mistake nor it is very regretting because as new investors in crypto, something bad really happens before we learn.
3834  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who to Trust, Fiat Banks or BTC? on: July 07, 2021, 07:21:58 AM
I trust them both and apparently using them all. However, it was mind-changing and I realize that a bank is not the right place to store your money coz it never grows much there unlike if you put this into investment. If I would just put it on BTC and hold for several years, I gain multiple times than the banks could give me.

I don't just consider the safety assurance that the bank could give us but we are getting into practicality and we want to grow our money fast rather than wasting a lot of time getting just small bucks.
3835  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH to $10K? on: July 07, 2021, 06:59:05 AM
The much-awaited EIP-1559 upgrade will make ETH scarcer than ever. Demand seems to be on the rise lately, although prices have stalled quite a bit because of the bearish market. Projects like Uniswap, Compound, Aave, and even MakerDAO should make ETH more valuable over time. At a price of $2,085 (since the time of this writing), I'd say that ETH is quite a bargain these days.

I had the feeling that scarcity of ETH supply could take effect on the price instantly as the demand tends to lower this time due to another platform that people are using nowadays BSC. I know that there are many exchanges still supporting and using ERC-20 smart contract but the fact that BSC's existence is getting strong, it gonna be sort of market competition.

Ethereum price will surely move but not it gain a straight mark up, $5k is close to the possibility but not $10k.
I hope I was wrong but just to hopes that this will give a huge impact on its price.
3836  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still thinks that crypto is manipulation free? on: July 06, 2021, 11:42:19 PM
There are manipulations eversince, the developers of the coins and those who bought earlier with huge amount are the one who is likely to manipulate the market, they do not spend huge amount of money just to hodl it, they will use every means to shill the coins, crash it and pump just to make money, all coins have whales who will always find ways to manipulate the market.
And the fact that we are already aware of that condition, I believe that we are already prepared if that dump will come back. Because we can't stop whales from tricking the market, they will come by all means. What I just worried about for the newcomers who have limited knowledge and no market experience as for sure they got the unacceptable experience that leads them to discouragements and doubts.

3837  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: July 06, 2021, 09:57:29 PM
So until now there's still no confirmation whether Giannis will play or not, I think they are making us guess hard, but I have a feeling that he'll be available, otherwise he is already announced as not available in this game. There's a little change of the line, hours before it was -6.5 for the Suns, now it's only -5.5, it should be an indication that Giannis will play.

Yes, still no confirmation but he is questionable, better than doubtful.

It can be tracked here - https://www.nbcsportsedge.com/edge/basketball/nba/player/29932/giannis-antetokounmpo

Quote
There is "expected to be a game-time decision" on the availability of Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) for Game 1 Tuesday night, according to Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN.
The Bucks upgraded Antetokounmpo from doubtful to questionable Tuesday afternoon, raising the hopes of Milwaukee fans far and wide. Multiple outlets have reported that Giannis has been solidly progressing over the past couple of days. Woj tweets that Antetokounmpo "has continued around-the-clock treatment on his left knee with hopes of becoming cleared to play" in Game 1 this evening. We can expect another update from coach Mike Budenholzer when he speaks to the media at approximately 7:30 pm EST. Game 1 tips off at 9 pm.

It's good news for the Bucks especially those who bet on the series as Giannis will likely come back.
Game 1 without him, we don't know what would happen but the current Bucks line up is capable of winning as they have done that already.
3838  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Any good crypto betting exchange ? on: July 06, 2021, 09:47:49 PM
You can check the list of gambling sites that have created their ANN thread in the gambling section.

Here's the link. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=56.0

I remember we have a crypto betting exchange but I can't remember the name, maybe because it's not so popular here as we are used to gambling with sportsbooks in our usual way.
3839  Economy / Speculation / Re: How come BTC is still so cheap? on: July 06, 2021, 10:12:17 AM
This is the only thing I don't understand right now. It is extremely cheap. The potential is huge, El Salvador goes all in BTC and people still don't have the eyes to see it. More countries will soon join in, people will regret it later for not buying but it's their choice. It's still so cheap and this is not normal!

Yeah you're right dude, right now Bitcoin is not popular on other countries at this moment but sooner or later they'll gonna know about Bitcoin and it will become intriguing on them on how they can make money on it.
They will surely know about Bitcoin sooner but the question if that gives them the interest or they just think for another drama like a scam thing on their mind.

There is no particular reason why Bitcoin didn't pump back high at $40k after the said news but of course, we can't just rely on it that will contribute a huge impact and shows an uptrend motion. It wasn't that fast and easy market trick, El Salvador is too far from China and therefore,  the impact is too small that become unnoticed.
3840  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is bitcoin on future market? on: July 06, 2021, 09:27:30 AM
Bitcoin is a popular coin all over the world. Most people around the world use Bitcoin and it is not legal. Bitcoin is quite different than other days. The current bitcoin is stable. My idea is that Bitcoin will be the future market.
You will be wrong, mate, sorry.
Only just a few percentages know about Bitcoin and with that numbers, not all of them had used/invest in this stuff, many were still ignored this.

To believe that it can be a currency in the future is not possible but it was not to expect that everyone adopts and uses this especially those people coming from the 3rd world country. Its either don't have that kind of market outlook and demand, we can still consider that Bitcoin has a high market value.
