Got an itch to back both Monza and Torino today in an acca, mainly because of form, but just waiting a bit to pull the trigger first... it's almost 9/1 but have also the same feeling as soon as I place that bet they're going to end up being draws or Juventus remember how to win Wink

Definitely not watching any of those games though as other tastier encounters await.
3822  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: October 15, 2022, 09:43:04 AM
Got the result, but really needed Brighton to score to get 3 points, always feels "hollow" when getting a mild upset right but not reaping the full rewards from it. Welbeck had a few good sniffs but Brighton seemed to want to keep playing neat tricky football when they should have been far more direct with Brentford. Raya put out quite a show though...

I can see us benefiting Trent with his current form, and the team form. Like I said before, having Trent push up as much as he does, requires the rest of our defense to be in good form, which they aren't. Therefore, Trent's positioning is highlighted even more. I do think he needs to start running back, and showing a little more urgency though.

I think Diaz is the greatest loss. 6-8 weeks I think I remember reading. That's not awful, but not ideal. Matip is a big loss, but Konate has just come back, and apart from a few games I've found him pretty decent. Quite excited for his future considering his age.

Trent and Salah do need some serious rest I think (well, almost everyone on the team does but they especially, for form and sharpness. The pre-season we did was a backbreaker I think Klopp realised that too, let's hope we really find a way to get this team the rest they need.

But yes I'm a TAA defender but agree he does need to remind himself and Southgate he hasn't forgotten he's a defender. More running back, and less lackadaisical attitudes.

Read the pre-matches from Klopp and Pep and as usual, both so eager to praise the other teams while insisting they've not got a chance tomorrow haha.

The best run and marketed project like this I'd ever seen was one in Austria. I forget the name but I can look them up again in old files. Did a bit of work for them.

They revealed all. From proof of existence like Names, persons, livestreaming camera feeds showing the actual rigs, the hydropowered locations... to proof of business concept, company incorporations, publishing lawyer letters, business plans with profit projections (one of the few who actually bothered). The only thing they never truly satisfied was actual income statements.

Fantastic people are great ideas, but they couldn't really prove it worked -- and it didn't. As soon as markets came down in 2018/19 they just couldn't pay out the shared revenues promised.

My message being: you got to do a lot better than this. Documentation. That shows you have what you say you have (your team, for example) and to prove you know what you say you do (your market research, evidence of profitability, etc.).

Don't care. Putting whatever money left I can spare on Liverpool v City. 4/1. This was better odds than Community Shield.
Spoken like a true red. I'll never bet against Liverpool that's for sure. I did predict a draw the other day with the Arsenal game, that nearly came in. I'll be betting on a win for Liverpool, and nothing less on the weekend. My predictions themselves in the pool might be a little different. However, since I'm sliding down the leaderboard every week, I might as well chance it since most in the pool will be predicting a high scoring win for City.

At the end of the day, I love Klopp, and even if we had three seasons of this I wouldn't want him to leave. He did the impossible, and turned that side into a winning team. Alison scored a bloody header for Christ sake. So, I won't stop supporting the boys, Diaz is a massive loss, but I think the Trent injury might benefit us in the short term. Obviously, Trent is world class, but at the moment he's having a rough time. Gomez could potentially build some confidence in that position, and steady our defense a little.

Suffer us hopeless supporters, yeah? I've backed a Liverpool win betting, in pool, and in the 4-3-free Sportsbet freebet promo. What I have done different this time around is predict 2 goals for City, I usually pop in a clean sheet or single concession at worst. The pragmatist in me is awake...

And agree on Gomez, he's always been good for me, I feel like we'll miss Matip more than Diaz/Trent, but if it's Konate|VVD and then Gomez and Robbo, I'm very happy.

I'm sticking with Klopp too. Results aside, we're the team I always imagine us to be.

The big game to watch this weekend is obviously Liverpool V City, but is anyone backing an upset in the Man U v Newcastle game? Newcastle bagged 4 and 5 goals in the last two games and maybe Manchester will underestimate them. I'll wait for the line-ups before I lock my picks in but there could be a lot of goals in both these games.

Yes, would even put money on it but 35/10 doesn't do the risk justice, at Old Trafford and on a United side who's just pulled through Europa. I really ought to put a fiver on both Manchesters losing though...

.. except there's also Arsenal there now and they are probably a bit better atm.

with current form, I really cannot imagine some team challenging their position in Europa league
but, it is a long season after all, and same looked for Barca last year, their form was in upper direction, but they eventually were knocked in epic match by Eintracht

nevertheless, I like to watch Europa league, and especially Europa conference, since that is the level for smaller clubs, and most of European clubs that I support (Everton, Valencia, Leverkusen, Cagliari, Auxxere), but also domestic as Partizan, are in that category

Like I said, Barca's not the clear favourite in Europa, not by any means. All the same, seeing them, United and Arsenal there makes for a worthy cup contest, definitely brings a lot of quality to the 2nd-tier contest.

Oh and I'm definitely loving Conference even if only for value betting (Partizan I saw you post, and my Cluj picks, fantastic odds!). Too bad I don't get their streams easily, not that I really find a slot to watch as Europa's still better but I'd watch my local team any day any week if I could.

I've wondered myself! I actually got 2 invites from random people on SuperBru to join Europa but I didn't accept.
I hardly have the time to make good picks in Champions League pool sometimes, and in Europa League there are more matches and teams I never follow, so I would not perform good.
Best pools are for Premier League ands some other big leagues, but I was very busy and I couldn't join one from start of this season.
If someone from forum starts a pool for World Cup Qatar that would be interesting for me to join.

As we've said several times though, familiarity doesn't guarantee pool positions. My kid's doing way better than me in FPL and he's the type of fan to know more about player tweets while not watching a single game.

I think World Cup pool's happening. Just waiting for the guy with enough time to host it heh heh.
3826  Economy / Speculation / Re: What’s going to make Bitcoin turn from a downward to an upward trend? on: October 14, 2022, 02:25:21 PM
Hype people need this because if there's no hype which can create a sudden increase of demand maybe we can see  bitcoin remain at the low price  but if hype build up in the ecosystem for sure there's good action that will happen and for sure many would like to see when price of it will increase more.

No, we don't. Speculators need hype but I'm really keen on the slow grind, building value on strengthening fundamentals. You can't "build up in the ecosystem" on hype, really. Look at El Salvador and where that's got them.

Besides, the altcoin markets are readily available if you're looking for hype. Plenty of that poured on generously every waking moment.
3827  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Conference League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Group Stages on: October 14, 2022, 01:11:33 PM
Great pick with Cluj hehe. They rarely concede goals even in our internal tournament Liga 1 and every team think that they can score against them and yet , so few of them are doing so.

Heh, heh, yeah, can't believe they got such strange way to win and to not concede, but can't really take credit for picking them for superiority, I'm a victim of seeing them "recently" in UCL, but also I honestly think these teams are not recognised enough for their quality, I hope to squeeze that value for many more years.

we did it another time, 2:0 home win against Koeln, and 6 points from these two matches, must say that I did not looked forward to more than 3 points
with these points, we need just to beat Slovacko at home to qualify no matter other results, and away match with Nice, great position, bearing in mind Nice and Koeln in the group

it was a firework before the match, and that usually end-up with losing points, but this time was different Smiley

keeping fingers crossed for Slovacko to take at least point in France, Nice is playing under1.5

Absolute blast man, and Nice, big laughs. Glad I avoided them and Koln (whom I used to back a lot last season actually!). Nice lost and got a key guy sent off (Todibo) so it's nicely primed for you guys. Good luck!

Hello everyone, so sorry about long silence,,, I have been on a very long sick leave, had to leave my job and also means I cannot go online much at all now, new life, new stuff,,, definitely still try to make all my superbru picks for everything, but even my betting is very quiet now, internet sucks here.

Hey, good to hear from you too, even if not in best of times. I think someone mentioned earlier also you were on leave but didn't realise you'd left the forum till now.

Take it easy. As Trofo says, just take care of health and everything personal first, everything else falls into place after that. You're at your best when fit and healthy =) Forum and pools and all that are also always here (fill in the entire superbru rounds too just in case), ping if you need anything, say hello on Clubtalk if you're ever there, you big winner!

Greetings ampera and all! With World Cup coming in just over a month, are we going to be getting some special promos and all that for the Sportsbook? Wink Just curious is all, probably going to spend a bit more love at the bookies this tournament.

And of course, I've put in all my MajSev picks, this time going for a bit of a repeat feat for last weeks' scorers (Trossard, Guimarães, Edouard). Tough week of selections, but may the best win.
3830  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price drops as US inflation reaches 40-Year High on: October 13, 2022, 08:29:45 PM
And, just as observed a few months ago (July/August jobs report I believe?), after the stumble in price right after worst-than-expected figures, after half a day price has actually clambered back ABOVE day's start.

Makes one wonder, what happens when we finally get a report with figures better than expected.

Just explain this to me please anyone. How even in a normal scenario will inflation in fiat markets effect bitcoin negatively.
When inflation rate is high, federal reserve may increase the interest rate to control money supply and decrease the inflation rate.
Given the current high inflation rate, it's expected that federal reserves increase the interest rate by 75 basis points in their next meeting. This is affecting all the markets including bitcoin.

And because interest rates are so high, wealthy are converting to cash, short term deposits earn guaranteed profit while being highly liquid. Virtually zero risk dollar wealth growth. And when you consider how other major and minor currencies are currently plumbing decades low vs dollar, USD's never been so attractive in my lifetime.
3831  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🦊 Betnomi.com | Champions League Pool ⚽️ Discussion Thread on: October 13, 2022, 07:11:02 PM
Today we have E.L, i know its not the main thing of the thread but when i saw the matches, i cant resist to think, can you imagine if we have a pool of E.L, how hard to predict can be?.
Nearby to impossible.

Coming back to UCL, its really strange one thing, Inter was the team with low chance to go into 16 round in the papers, but seems like they go to 16 round, and Juventus who can be "easily" in that round its going to E.L. Milan its complicated but i think they can turn the situation against RB Salzburg.

I've wondered myself! I actually got 2 invites from random people on SuperBru to join Europa but I didn't accept. And not so much because it's troublesome to enter picks, I could finish an entire round in under 30 seconds, but I usually don't even like to do that, you get this itch to just look things up and make careful picks. As Trofo says, though, I think we've reached saturation level on sponsored pools... I personally have never pushed so much on this forum looking for people to join. Main excuse was too many pools, and this is the biggest club football tournament there is, so I can't imagine even getting 10 people for Europa haha. No one's stopping anyone from starting one though Wink

Juventus are a shock for me, Barca not so much (I'm actually more surprised they've managed to keep pace with Real this season in La Liga), but that's really down to an accumulation of factors (youth keep playing and sudden transfers I could never have foreseen like Lewie).

@swogerino I normally would agree that Barca have upper hand in Europe if (when haha) they drop but I thought that last season too about a certain club also named Barcelona and they fell to the eventual winners (epic KO matches too I feel like Barca only knows how to do epic KOs!)... except there's also Arsenal there now and they are probably a bit better atm.

Nice return man.

Good to know they are lasting for 14 days, I forgot about it as well and played it just before first games in CL stated today. Did not do as good as you since I just use them on Voisans and then martingale my way trough it. Got a bit less then 25$ back, so enough to make a wager on CL games. Hopefully there will be a shitload of goals tonight, that will make it great for watching and probably be enough for my ticket Smiley

Thanks, yeah, I felt like it was a lot fewer days but 14 days is really good for people like me, forgetting about stuff all the time even though am practically on the site daily.

I usually martingale on Blackjack too actually, but this was probably me ragebetting. Sometimes it turns out well.

This time I put my $50 on Arsenal -1 handicap -- they're already 1 up so need 1 more goal or it's a push.

@slaman29 no idea, I always assume the min odds requirement in bonuses are without boost (as when you share betslip to support, they actually can't see the boost, unless the software's changed).
3833  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Conference League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Group Stages on: October 13, 2022, 04:53:12 PM
Games already underway and I was really hoping to see Cluj odds above 5/1 as they were the sole bet I took last round and was the highest odds of picks (9/1), but they're rightly given less than half of those odds this time, at home.

Can't see value in the clear favs (West Ham, Nice, Fiorentina) so am sitting out tonight's editions. Austria Wien above 7/1 are the most tempting, but you never know with Villareal...
3834  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread -- 2022/23 | Group Stages on: October 13, 2022, 04:22:51 PM
Time to bump this topic. For me today Betis - Roma game looks most interesting today. Roma have just 3 points so far, but they're just 1 point behind Ludogorets. My pick here is BTTS.
In group F all 4 teams have 4 points, but today expect Feyenoord and Lazio win which will improve their situation significantly.
Attractive odds for Qararag. I expect them to win against Olympiacos which looks awful and have some important players injured. and leave team without points.
Royale Union - Braga should be interesting game, Union so far looking surprisingly good.

Undoubtedly, this is the central game of the tour, since by name it is the loudest sign. Only the game Nantes - Freiburg can compete in terms of interestingness. Maybe BTTS is a good choice as it's not the most important game in the tournament sense (even with a loss Roma have excellent chances for the second place, and Betis already takes the first place with 99% probability) so the teams will play at their own pleasure and as in the first game we will see goals in both directions.

Told myself all week that I'm so not going to fall for Roma again, but I am putting a small acca that includes them and Freiburg as my main tickets (strangely enough the German side being the most difficult leg in it) but I'm also keeping my faith in Feyenoord, and then Fenerbahce and Qarabag to round it off -- the ones I trust the least.

GL to you guys, I'm not counting so much on winning bets, just entertainment from Bodoe/Arsenal is all!
3835  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC price drops as US inflation reaches 40-Year High on: October 13, 2022, 02:23:39 PM
Ah, so that's what happened. Out all day and as usual sneaked a look at price, couldn't immediately say if it was more market news or a delayed reaction from yesterday when there were stock selloffs in Asia.

More pain to come, interest rates not going to let up. BTC still surprisingly resistant though, no?
3836  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Odds, units advantage | Sportsbook | +85933 units on: October 13, 2022, 09:50:48 AM
Well, a clean slate. That's still better than a lot of other alternatives in gambling I guess. Almost as if I'm just bent on making this the first season ending in a loss, right?

Which brings us to the next dangerous bet...

What do you think about the odds in the game Liverpool - City? At the moment the quotes are as follows:

3.85 - 4.10 - 1.87

In the game with Arsenal, I was sure that Arsenal would not lose (although the quotes were cloudy). But when I see such odds for City against Liverpool, I have great doubts in its fairness. Liverpool have been bad this season but they can't be so bad that they don't win at least one of their three home games against City at a difficult moment. For me the Liverpool bet has a lot of value (3.85-3=0.85 ~ probably 28% of the value).

I think it's excellent odds, actually. It rose to 44/10 at some point (price boost probably would have taken that to almost 5/1), but after their thumping win in Glasgow, it's back to around 41/10 now.

No Diaz, no Matip, no Trent -- ordinarily, bad news for me, but with the way defence has been acting up lately, it's not really terrible news (Diaz will be missed for sure, but with Firmino in rich vein of form, I'm okay with Jota slotting in and helping him out). We've also got Robbo back, not that Tsimikas has been bad, but he enjoys going against City.

As you say, and this is exactly how I see odds. 4/1 means we should win at home 1 out of 4 games. I believe even at our current form, we win 1 out of 3 (win, lose, draw). Is that good value? For me 100%.

So 500 units at Sportsbet on Liverpool to WIN vs City @4.40. Other odds: 4.04
Units advantage: 160

Running advantage after 29 bets: +2749 (+160)
All-time cumulative: +86,363
Running units after 28 bets (4W|24L): +34 (-400)

Okay, I need to learn to do more like tonight. Liverpool conceding is a theme of the season, but as soon as Rangers scored, Live betting on Liverpool was 2.6, which was pretty decent considering -1.5 handicap prematch was only 2/1. So yeah, happy for the win, now for City.

Bobby coulda had a hattrick, happy for Elliot. Never seen a guy pray for VAR before, I love this kid haha.

Atletico is still goalless, is Brugge that good, or all these teams in their group are just bananas

I would like to propose GOATnoglet be the celebrated figure of current UCL.

Barcelona out...?

GOATnoglet! GOATnoglet!

Lewie's just snatched some Hail Mary chance for them (again)... now they must win next 2 games and hope Bayern beat Inter!
