As we already stated, chip documentation isn't ready yet for public distribution.
We will start distribution to third parties when hashing power deployed will meet the goals we have set. This is our top priority right now.
We want to mention that we have received interview requests from several well know parties, CNN and Bloomberg being the most prominent  and late progress with our 65nm design lead us to believe we will deploy 200-300 TH within 2013.

200-300 TH !?!!?!

Holy fuck that is unexpected

BUMP

I remembered CoinHoarder posted this.  Hopefully this can help dig up some info

RE: My above post

I feel so stupid for not following my gut instinct on this one and ordering chips from him.

All these links are from the first 4-5 pages of his Avalon chip group buy. Everyone seems to have settled down when JohnK came in to do escrow, which in hindsight is silly. All chips and hardware is being shipped directly to Ragingazn628, so JohnK can't really help us there. Unless somehow JohnK can get ahold of Avalon/KNC and change the shipping address...

The first post warning of ragingazn: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=177994.msg1874180#msg1874180

More hard evidence came shortly after in that thread:

Ragingazn628's Hardforum (tried to) scam: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1684647
More on hardforums: http://hardforum.com/showthread.php?t=1660014

Ragingazn628's SECOND previous heatware account: http://www.heatware.com/eval.php?id=78739
Ragingazn628's current heatware account: http://www.heatware.com/eval.php?id=79046
(what kind of an honest person would need 3 heatware accounts??)

Ragingazn628's Ebay (88% feedback, which is quite low): http://myworld.ebay.com/toms.technology
EDIT: Umm... this is not 88% feedback, perhaps the user in the chip thread posted the wrong link?
2nd EDIT: Maybe that is him, if you go through his seller feedback only, there is an unusual amount of negative feedback- not a huge amount, but it is there.

Ragingazn628's overclock.net account: http://www.overclock.net/u/154962/ragingazn628
(Note: I haven't looked into his posts/dealings on here, I am just providing this for more identification. It is possible there are more shady dealings tied to his account there, but I am not sure.)

PS: I really hope that the picture these links and Ragingazn's disappearance paints doesn't mean what I think they do...

JohnK, any possibility you could change the shipping address on chip/knc orders you made for ragingazn628?

Yet another edit: it seems he has magically reappeared right after I posted this... he just bumped the chip thread. Good, I was ready to call the cavalry in. Now I feel bad for posting all this, but it is what it is...

I just accidentally purchased ActM shares instead of LC. This freaking sucks.

How many and how much?

about 4500 shares for .00349. I was trying to set a buy for LC but was on the wrong window.

Weekend slump sale.

You might get lucky.

If it goes under .0029 I might buy a few but only as a very short term investment.

There isn't going to be a "crash" but it may return to $90-$100, but in that case you only missed out on a %30 gain. Is your investment in Labcoin likely to yield more than a %30 gain in the next month or two? Just trying to understand your move cause I may try to do something similar - I'm just not seeing much of an advantage at this point.

No one knows, but judging from what I have seen and how things are going I think 30% is possible.

But I do also think as the price of btc increases I think there are some who will take profits off the table.

3833  Economy / Securities / Re: [BTC-TC] CryptX introduces the PETA-MINE - DEPLOYMENT OF 20 TH/s on: August 31, 2013, 08:49:40 PM
UPDATE 31/08/2013

CryptX is pleased to announce the deployment of 20 TerraHash as early as end September (BitFury chips). The net mining revenue of this 20 TH/s will be divided over the shareholders until their total investment is recovered.

CryptX will also limit the sale of shares to a maximum of 10,000. This means that no more than 10,000 shares will be sold and mining revenue will be divided over those shares. Shares will be sold in batches of 2,000 shares each, starting at 0.65BTC. Price with each new batch will increase with 0.01BTC.

As stated in the initial shareholder agreement, for each share sold, 10 GH/s of hashpower, based on CoinTerra systems, will also be deployed in December, this equals to an additional 100 TerraHash by December for 10,000 shares.

People should cash out and sell their btc for fiat before the exchange rate crashes.
What if it doesn't crash?

It'll crash, but when and to what level is the question.

At some point people have to offer their btc for sale.  We haven't reached that point yet.

I took 85BTC worth of labcoin shares off the table.

Coinbase just makes it to easy.

too easy to do what?

To sell your coins
Why would you want to sell your coins now?

Because I originally purchased coins at $65 .
Was your goal to accumulate more and more bitcoins or to get cash? All I am saying is that cashing out right now isn't necessarily the best thing to do. There are multiple factors to consider... Bitcoin may continue to increase after you cashout AND Labcoin shares could almost double from current prices. Now if you had some arbitrage opportunity it would definitely make sense but there isn't really and solid opportunities with the Gox situation.

There is nothing wrong with taking profits off the table.  I still have plenty of shares.

Yes the price will probably continue to rise, but it also could crash.  I've been a victim of my own greed in the past and I do not want to repeat past mistakes.

Also I can and still will generate coins on my own through mining group buys and all the dividends I collect

Eh, I think ActM is making progress. Perhaps it's just a difference in what's assumed surrounding the absence of communication, but the bits of communication we have heard don't make me jump to seeing monsters under the bed.

It's definitely possible, but I just don't think it's reality.

Also, ActM will certainly see 0.005+. You must be joking....

I speaking of just the announcement of easic.

I'm sure it will be over .006 by end of year but short term this is a sinking ship.

This stock literally has nothing to show for itself right now.
3839  Economy / Securities / Re: [ActiveMining] The Official Active Mining Discussion Thread on: August 31, 2013, 04:43:45 AM
Even if there was an easic an announcement the price won't go up that much.

You guys might be above .005 again

Don't be fooled by the phony walls; they are almost always pulled.

There's a 20k wall that's moving all over.  It was at .003375 now it's moved
