sealswith clubs.eu dealt their 23,000,000  .hand today. The # 1 bitcoin poker site west of the mississippi, and east as welll

https://twitter.com/CryptoBetting

Is that the 23,000,00th hand?  Or the 23,000,000 bitcoin bet?  Does any counter actually count the hands dealt?

This post is actually giving me the giggles Smiley I wonder how long it will go on for...
I don't think this is ever going to get sold. OP is not accepting standard escrow terms... (he said the coins would be released on method delivery- not after checking it works)

I'd like to say that this actually makes me feel better about the state of humanity, or the state of bitcoin folks, or both.  We'll see if you're right in the end.
Do you mean, the fact that I don't think this is ever going to get sold? Well, a scam not happening would be awesome news indeed.

Actually no one seems to be willing to risk (even if they think it might not be a scam), so I don't think OP will get any sales.

Yes, I meant your conjecture that no one was biting on this scam.  Also, did you guys see that hillarious thread from yakuz699 that moonbux linked us to:

message me I will send you $2 worth of btc for nothing in return Smiley

ps.. this offer only stands for OP

Right, I hope this generous soul doesn't get too spammed by no OPs asking for the same deal.  x8008 would be one of the most generous faucets in a long time Smiley

Thanks, I'll double check on cryptsy, I cant recall which exchange I looked at recently where there was literally no volume.
3845  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: where can i get $2 worth of btc via paypal? on: April 28, 2014, 12:33:01 AM
Hey there, I suppose your best bet is to meet up with someone in person.  If you live near a major metropolitan area this shouldn't be too hard.  The site bitcoinslocally probably will help you.  Alternatively, there are trading boards on this forum.  I haven't traded on here but given the size and popularity of this forum, somone probably takes paypal.  Good luck!

Found an interesting article that debunks the vast majority of the video:  http://anotherangryvoice.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/moneyweek-and-their-end-of-britain.html

Looks like Moneyweek has about as much journalistic integrity as Newsweek and should be derided equally.

Right, that thing about attempted doxing of satoshi by Newsweek was pretty terrible both in principle and in how it turned out for them.  I guess we can start to see that many of these old-school commercial magazines work with a similar MO.
3848  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coin Validation misunderstands fungibility and could destroy bitcoin on: April 27, 2014, 11:07:53 PM
I'm also glad to see that sanity seems to be prevailing on the topic of coin validation/central authorities, etc.   Glad to hear the update, to be honest it had fallen off my radar which was not necessarily a good thing.

CGB removed from voting on Comkort, meaning it will very soon be listed to trade.

Nice job, all who voted and/or donated, Thanks.

https://comkort.com

I suggest CGB traders to send some coins to the latest exchanges to get some volume going and support buy/sell orders. If there's no volume we risk delistment.
It may be a good opportunity for some daytrading profits, so try them out.

I think this is probably a good idea.  I logged into one of the exchanges the other day and was looking to see what was going with cgb trading.  It was indeed listed but it looked like there wasn't any volume.  While I'm here asking, which exchange has the highest CGB volume?
3850  Economy / Services / Re: [WTS] Method to get ~0.04 BTC every day. on: April 27, 2014, 10:07:21 PM
I like the person who said this offer is like spam in my inbox.  It's hard to believe anyone would send money to someone else who's selling "a method for free money".  Just ask yourself this folks: if you had a guaranteed method for free money that actually worked, would you try to sell it or would you simply go on using it?
3851  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu | Largest Bitcoin Poker Site | No Banking | Fast Cashouts on: April 27, 2014, 10:01:14 PM
Since this is the official seals thread, can one of the admins comment about the 66SNG getting taken down?  I found it was a great way to get drawn into using the site.

I also have one more request, can you guys set things up to allow non-integer amounts to be transfered to another player.  I currently have 0.8 chips.  There's no game I can buy into with that amount and I can't withdraw it either.  I'd like to at least give it to someone else.  What's stopping the transfer of fractions of a chip?

Lolz .80 is the equivelant of .35cents or so. People who play freerolls are not likely to deposit imo. Deposit 50 bucks and you can play 10 chip hourlys. Getting distressed over a 20 chip or less freeroll is just too lol. You aren't the only person to be up in arms.

I do appreciate the reply but I have to disagre with what you seem to be implying.  Two points:

1) the price of bitcoin can change
2) a lot of dust scattered over many accounts can add up to a lot of money

On the first point, how many lolz would you have made a few years ago when a bitcoin was worth a couple of cents on the us dollar if someone complained about not being about to withdraw or transfer a bitcoin or two?   Yet when btc price was over 1Kusd last year such an amount is hardly one to scoff at.  IMHO if money is money, you should not say to customers "i'm sorry i'm going to keep your change just because it's too small an amount for me to worry about allowing you to access".

On the second point, if every account on seals has 0.9 chips (can't even buy into an hourly tourney), and no one can use or withdraw or transfer those chips, isn't this a bit unscrupulous of a way for seals to profit essentially by saying to customers, "I'm keeping your change, sorry."

Finally, let me add that although I tend to mainly play freerolls and low-stakes, I have indeed deposited in the past, on serveral occasions.  And, to be honest, it was the existence of the hourly freerolls on the hour (back in the day) that got me into the site and online poker in general.  I'm a fan of sealwithclubs, I just think that my concerns about having unspendable, untransferable amounts in my account are legit.

One of the sites programmers came on during the week xdev and said that 66 sng was taken down due to aids. I am guessing there was some sort of bug or virus and the 66 freeroll had to be taken down.

I think that none of the defintions that i know for "aids" fit here, so I'm a little lost.   In any case, I saw the 66sng fr back running again last night so that was nice to see.

Cheers!

This is definitely a fun project.  I learned a lot from this one and your other thread about sources of randomness.  I didn't know about random.org or ERNIE.  I hope you keep posting about this project and your work on an open-source TRNG.
3853  Economy / Services / Re: [WTS] Method to get ~0.04 BTC every day. on: April 27, 2014, 02:08:48 AM
Pretty hillarious thread here.  It's hard to believe that anyone would pay this guy to tell them a 'secret' about how to make bitcoins with no risks.  We'll see if anyone takes the bait here---there are many gullible people out there so maybe someone will.
3854  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Overview of Signature-Ad Campaigns on: April 27, 2014, 02:03:45 AM
Nobody likes spammy or trolly posts but I guess I want to ask if they really "hurt" the forum as much as some people are saying.  I mean, if I'm looking through a forum thread for an answer to to something I'm interested in, I simply skim posts until I find one that seems to be interesting or have the info I need.  I'm not saying spammy stuff isn't annoying, I'm just not convinced that it's that big of a deal.  Also, I kinda think that this forum having a lot of folks interested in new and exciting things to do with BTC means that people doing new and exciting things have a way to get the word out.  Was there actually some serious discussion about banning ads in signatures?  If so, can someone give me a link to that thread?  I'd like to weigh in there too.
3855  Economy / Invites & Accounts / Re: [Promo] Bitcointalk Forum Accounts for Sale - Not Hacked on: April 27, 2014, 01:58:29 AM
This thread is super old, I'm surprised subud keeps bumping it.  subud, where do you get these accounts?  has anyone actually bought an account from him and can speak up and say if it went okay?

Note: I don't need an account I just find this whole business a little fishy.

Yes, It is super old. I sold more than 100 accounts ince I started selling many months ago. I stated on my first post. I created accounts for seo backlinks for my clients. When I saw there is a need for accounts.

Obviosly most of my account buyer would not speak, unfortunately buying and selling is still considered taboo even it is allowed.

Interesting.  Well good luck with your "business".  I'm not sure I totally believe you but I appreciate you answering my questions.  If you don't mind saying, how many accounts did you create back in the day for SEO.  If you've already sold 100, how many more are actually left?  And how on earth could you have had time to get 100s of accounts out of newbie jail and whatnot?

I have hundreds of customers in the span of 4 years. I also created hundreds of accounts. It is very easy because I have workers.
n
Are you running a sweatshop or something of people just spamming away?  Grin I find it hard to believe that you've sold over hundred in only 'many months' as well.

My main business is seo, reputation management and data entry. I hire dozens of workers to do the orders for me. Im also selling accounts to other websites.  My highest sale of accounts during theymos disabled the registration but I'm selling the newbie accounts at 0.01 btc each.

Now this is something that I definitely do not understand.  Who would pay anything for a newbie account---they can just make their own for free, eh?  I get it that someone might be interested in buying an account with a high activity or post count because of the signature ad campaigns that run on this forum.   But what's the value in a newbie account?  0.01BTC?!

CGB sooo.. dead.

mine and vote LGD people - top #5 on cryptsy now!

Very trolly to post this in the CGB forum.  Not sure that this kinda attitude gives me any confidence in the LGD, whatever you were hoping to advertise.

FWIW, CGB seems far from dead, I see many people mining it, and it's listed on many major exchanges.  I'm not saying it's the top, I'm just saying I think that it's far from dead.
3859  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Grindabit.com | Earn Bitcoin | Play Poker | Get Rewards | Rakeback | Freerolls on: April 25, 2014, 02:24:26 AM
I tried to get back I to it but just found myself stuck since most of the offers are rather difficult to get to credit and didn't really see anything new besides the new offer wall which is full of apps that sometimes credit and sometimes don't. It isn't a fault of the site. It's the damn offer walls.

Thank you for sharing...I know it can be hard to find new offers once you have done them all or done them at another site already. We will be adding more walls in the next few weeks. I will update this thread once we have them successfully integrated. Be sure to check back with us!

IMHO the people who run this site are straigh-ahead honest folks but some of the offers in their offerwalls are straight-up viruses and scams.  Just use caution.  Like I said, the GaB staff are quite cool and helpful, but some of those products on those offer walls are to be distrusted.

Thanks for the compliment! As you mentioned, download offers are known to occasionally have malware or other undesirables bundled with them...For this reason we highly recommend using www.sandboxie.com to complete download offers.

What is Sandboxie?
(The following quote is from the FAQ at sandboxie.com)

Quote
What is Sandboxie and how is it different than other solutions?

Think of your PC as a piece of paper. Every program you run writes on the paper. When you run your browser, it writes on the paper about every site you visited. And any malware you come across will usually try to write itself into the paper.

Traditional privacy and anti-malware software try to locate and erase any writings they think you wouldn't want on the paper. Most of the times they get it right. But first the makers of these solutions must teach the solution what to look for on the paper, and also how to erase it safely.

On the other hand, the Sandboxie sandbox works like a transparency layer placed over the paper. Programs write on the transparency layer and to them it looks like the real paper. When you delete the sandbox, it's like removing the transparency layer, the unchanged, real paper is revealed.

That makes sense, I run GNU/Linux so windoze executables aren't even runnable on my machine (unless I use wine or something).  But your recommendation to use some sort of sandbox makes a lot of sense.  I'd say that if I were into this kinda thing more, the thing to do would be to install windoze in a virtual machine and put all the crapware on that.  then once you get your GAB points, delete the virtual machine then possibly repeat.
