this is all I know. 1. most people cannot make profit mining bitcoin anymore because of the increase in mining difficulty and the cost of hardware, but it's still profitable to mine Scriptcoins. 2. yes and no. you don't need luck to generate coins from a block. to find finding a block (either solo mining or using a pool), however, you need the luck and hardware of the devil himself. ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) that's all I know, sorry if it doesn't answer your question. Actually I didn't believed that at first (especially the Ripple), but seeing your opinion about nxt, qrk, peer, I wonder if he might be right... and he was right about IFC and TIX (I forgot the other 3) being the most profitable coins on the short term.
