On the contrary, he proved to be correct and bitcoin is used as a means of payment and you can even live of it and that was the whole point of his bitcoin for pizza transactions. Hold your coin and keep it save, time might gives you a triple value.
If those early bitcoin adopters thought the same, 99.99% of us woulnd't be here as no one outside of handful of cyprephunks and enthusiasts would never hear about Bitcoin. With that in mind, I would say to hold majority of your coins, but also spend it from time to time. |

Its actually quite the opposite as you overdeliver while politicians always underdeliver. Thank you for this overview Rikafip. Sadly the decrease is also evident in my local 'thread' (Nigerian local thread), from last months review we had around 348 post activity on our local thread, but we are down to 209 this month, that is a large decrease of around 139 post from last month; i really can't state the reason why, we had a couple of public holidays in our country this month, lol, so prolly users were rather spending time with their families than posting on the forum  , or maybe it was just as a result of the reduction of the number of active users on our local thread, from 34 (last month) to 29 (this month). It is a big decrease but your numbers are still good imho, especially considering the fact that you are writing everything in one topic. If you can keep these numbers in the long run I am sure that you will eventually get your own local board. You just have to be patient and keep bumping that request topic of yours. |

But bad news for our local section is that our undisputed champion is below his average number of posts and that is going to be even lower in your next reports... because he made last post in May 18th  Yep, he has been without campaign for quite some time so its natural to write less, or maybe he is without the campaign because he can't be bothered to be as active as before. After all, its perfectly normal to take a break from forum every once in a while. If anything, someone else will have a chance to become the most active member of our local board I believe that for the next month (June) I will lose the first place. But if that happens, in July I will take revenge!  You keep saying that every month and you usually end up being the most active members so I have feeling that you will end up at the top next month as well. |

Time for yet another brief monthly overview of local boards activity, this time with a slight delay. As always charts and table are made using data from @DdmrDdmr Merit Dashboard and @TryNinja Ninjastic.space. Communities marked with * (Pakistan, Nigerian, Bangladesh) don't have their own local boards. Not yet at least but I hope that changes in the future.
Post activity per local board during April 2022After last month's increase of activity, we are back to the decrease; during April, 18351 posts were written across local boards which is slight decrease compared to March and 19044 posts written in that period. Decrease is not big, but these things accumulate over time and numbers are generally much lower compared to year ago. When it comes to the most active threads, there's no change compared to last few months: Russian board is far ahead, followed by Turkish and German. I do hope that situation in Russian board calmed donw, but somehow I doubt that's the case. The name that sticks out in this chart is Pakistan, as they are having great numbers considering the fact that they have only 1 topic to write all those posts (863 to be precise). I don't know what's the quality of those posts written there, but its respectable number nevertheless.
Number of posters per local board during April 2022Despite the slight decrease of the post amount, number of posters increased: during April 1372 members wrote at least one pass in local boards, which is n increase compared to March during which 1357 members were active. Talking about the boards with the most amount of active members there is no much change compared to March: Russian board is far ahead followed by the usual names. I've been thinking about increasing the requirement as current one is only 1 post, and I am not sure that we can categorize someone as an "active member" if he wrote only 1 post in a month.
Post/user ratio per local board for April 2022This is the 2nd time that I am sharing this chart, and just confirms what we saw already, that more posts written in a board usually results with the bigger post/user ratio.
Merit shared per local board during April 2022Even though post decrease was slight, when iut comes to merit shared it was way more severe. During April, 5556 merits were shared across local boards which is a significant decrease of 20%, compared to March and 6981 merits shared. This huge decrease is mostly caused by three out of four most merited local boards (Russian, Turkish and Italian). Vast majority of other boards have decrease as well, but those three affected the result the most. The only local board (among the more active ones at least) that has a significant increase was Croatian,but its more due fact that March was very bad month fore us, rather than this being a very good result. Merit senders/receivers per local board for April 2022Despite the big decrease of merit shared, this chart doesn't look much different from the March one.
Merit/Post ratio per local board for April 2022Last but not the least in this series of charts is post/merit ratio. Once again Dutch board is kinda messing up the chart, but as I said before these kind of things are normal among the local boards that are no so active as you don't have to share a lot of merit to affect the ratio a lot. The most important thing is that blue color still dominates, meaning monthly ratio is still bigger than 12 months one.

Rikafip, how is the progress of your long-awaited report of the local boards activity? All charts are finished, I just have to write the text so it should be published tomorrow. Given that I understand that due to personal commitments you don't have so much free time, maybe in the future you could make this report once in three months instead of every month and so reduce the burden a little because of this report that you certainly feel. Nah its not burden at all, it's just that some months are more hectic for me due nature of my work, and then you add some procrastination and laziness and this is what you get. And my plan is to continue doing this on a monthly basis, like I did for the last two and a half years. Thank you for your effort and time for publishing these reports.

It's not about being embarrassed but wanting to avoid any chance for $5 wrench attack in case your identity leaks out. As a Bitcoin lover and investor you should be open minded to these type of things. That doesn't mean that you should shout around how much bitcoin you have. All my close friends and family know that I am into bitcoin but I don't share with them how much I have exactly, even though I live in the part of the world with very low crime rate but why even take any chance? |

Yesterday, it occur to me that I don't know Satoshi gender, nobody does, it could be a person or people but in my previous thread, the first paragraph, I was looking for the right pronoun (he/she/they) and I couldn't get any as a subject to avoid the repetition of the noun in my thread. If Satoshi is a single person, what about the gender? is it a he or she? Following the below mentioned rule, for me its a "he" and honestly I haven't spent a second thinking which pronoun should I use when mentioning Satoshi. Another question is, how do you also address other objects like names in the forum with a pronoun when you don't even know who you are conversating with, You could offend a lady by calling her bro, there is gender in all profiles but for sake of privacy, many don't use it. How do you address other members without calling their names multiple times?
There is an old rule that says that everyone is male on the Internet until proven otherwise and that's the one I follow. I always address everyone online as "he" unless that person tells me its a she. As simple as that. |

Sorry my friend, but you just took this picture http://clipart-library.com/clip-art/18-182277_pepperoni-pizza-png.htm, adjusted some colors, add a BTC, scroll some settings and hit done. This is less than 5 min work in MS Paint or photoshop online. While others spend at least an hour to buy ingredients, rinse them, cut them, organize everything on dough and spent 10-15min cooking. If you just want to share this picture, then there can share it in Pizza Day 2022 topic for example. If you have posted it to get merit, then you should have tried more. In the previous two pizza contests Cyrus explicitly said that he has nothing against people submitting images of the pizza. You could even just buy pizza and post the image of that and it would be accepted so anything pizza related goes. Of course it makes more sense to make pizza by yourself, but until rules regarding that change, this will be seen as a valid submission. I can't cook! so i tried this on photoshop...

I don't know if it has been commented in some of the 17 pages of the thread, has the activity on local boards increased lately? Nope, haven't noticed any increase lately. If anything, numbers are going down (for majority of local boards) but that's not just local boards issue as English part of the forum is experiencing the same thing. I say this because I see that there are some signature campaigns that pay to write on the local boards, about 40/50% of the total weekly quota, we have been commenting on the subject in the Spanish section, and at least I remember years ago it wasn't like that, I don't know if this could have had any influence.
I just checked and out of 16 active signature campaigns only 4 don't count posts written in local boards so yeah, situation does look good regarding that compared to some previous times. Then again, I don't think that local boards are affected much with this rule as I think that people will write in their local boards whether posts count or not. For example, (until recently) I've been 2 years in signature campaign that doesn't count local board posts and that didn't stop me from being active in my local and I think its the same thing for majority of other members. As we say in Croatia, "dobra izlika zlata vrijedi" or "good excuse is worth in gold". |

First I was procrastinating at the beginning of the month when I had plenty of free time but then things got really hectic at work and on top of that I got sick. Slažem se s tobom da vjerovatno treba voljeti tu vrstu filmova da bi ti se svidjeo The Northman. Da, to je jednostavno tip filma koji nije za mase. Niti prethodna dva od istog redateslja nisu bila takva, a tesko da ce i slijedeci biti klasicni mainstream film. Jedan film koji je meni isto bio uvrnut a tebi bi se možda svidjeo je Natural Born Killers. Film je iz 1994 i radili su ga Oliver Stone i Tarantino. Htio sam da vidim kakav je zbog Woody Harrelsona i Robert Downey Jr-a. Poslje nekih 20-30 minuta sam ga isključio. Jesi gledao i jel ti leži ta vrsta filmova? Gledao sam sve sto je Stone snimio tako da sam naravno gledao i ovaj koji si ti naveo (mislim da imam negdje i DVD, jos iz vremena kad sam skupljao filmove). Meni taj i nije bas bio nesto posebno uvrnut i pogledao sam ga bez problema. Doduse ima sigurno 20 godina da sam zadnji put pogledao. Ja mogu probaviti skoro sve vrste filmova ali imam i ja par redatelja koji mi jednostavno ne leze: Lynch (ne valja mi nista osim Dune i Straight Story), Bunuel, Jodorowsky etc, znaci sve sto ide previse u surealno i bizarno nije moja salica caja.
Mislim da mi je ovo bio rekord, 4 dana bez ijednog posta na forumu. |

It's pretty much standard one with ham, cheese (the ones used for letters is Milner as its less fatty therefore it doesn't melt too much) and mushrooms.  |

Gledao sam film The Northman koji traje preko dva sata i nije ga loše pogledati, ali ja nisam impresioniran, možda zbog engleskog jezika s lošim vikinško-nordijskim naglaskom. Sigurno je bolji od popularnih filmova kao npr Doctor Strange i sličnih gluposti koje se vrte ovih dana, ali valjda sam ja očekivao nešto više nakon Vikings serije. Pogledao i ja The Northman i meni je bio dosta dobar. Ja sam veliki fan Roberta Eggersa tako da sam otprilike znao sta ocekivati i da sigurno nece biti neka klasicna vikinska makljaza, njega taj pristup ne zanima. A i ovaj film ne bi usporedio sa Vikings serijom jer su dosta drukciji; The Northman vise vuce na tu art briju (koja je ipak pod kontrolom) dok su Vikinzi ipak cisti mainstream tako da ako netko ocekuje nesto u tom stilu mogao bi se razocarati (moja zena bas voli Vikings seriju a Northmana je jedva odgledala). Ako bi Northmana usporedjivao sa necim vikinske tematike to bi onda bio Valhalla Rising. Tako da, ovaj film bi preporucio samo onome za koga znam kakav mu je filmski ukus, inace gledajte na vlastitu odgovornost. Poceo je i star trek: strange new worlds - jos nisam poceo gledat, vjerujem da su opet crnci, lezbace i naravno deseci izvlacenje iz nemogucih situacija.
Ja sam za sada pogledao jednu epizodu i cini se dosta solidno na prvu. Cini mi se da nece previse pushati tu svoju agendu kao sto su radili u Discoveryu koji je bio tesko smece, ali treba imati na umu da je Star Trek oduvijek bio progresivna serija. Mene samo zanima sto ljudi koji imaju vise servisa rade i koliko love placaju zato. Preskupo i preglupo.
Ovo za streaming servise sam cuo od najmanje 5 frendova, dok nisu napokon kupili svoj prvi smart tv i uzeli Netflix da eto probaju. I sad im je Netflix zakon. Ja trenutno imam Netflix, Amazon, HBO Max i Apple i sve skupa je mozda 40 eura max, sto i nije neka cifra, to je doslovno jedan rucak za dvoje u restoranu. Glavni razlog zasto meni nije problem placati te servise je zato sto znam da ta lova ide na produkciju kvalitetnih serija. A kome su skupi streaming servisi, uvijek moze podijeliti sa nekim pretplatu tako da ispadne jeftinije. Iako, kako je krenulo ovo sa stancanjem novih streaming servisa (dobar primjer je Disney Plus koji je maknuo sve od Marvela sa Netflixa) na kraju bi se moglo dogoditi da se ljudi jednostavno vrate nazad na torrentiranje.
Napokon sam uhvatio vremena i odgledao prvih 8 epizoda nove serije Bosch: Legacy u kojoj nastavljamo pratiti dogodovstine Harrya Boscha. Prethodna serija Bosch je jedna od najboljih policijskih serija uopce (meni odmah iza Zice) a ova nova nastavlja u istom stilu, tako da velika preporuka. A i ima na Amazonu. E da, probao gledati i hvaljeni Everything Everywhere All at Once i prekinuo sam na pola, jednostavno je preveliki cirkus za moj ukus. To je onaj tip filma ili ti je super ili negledljiv, nema izmedju. |

Yeah I saw, that was a good move. I hope he will leave us alone now, but unfortunately I am not very optimistic As long as people keep trying to have serious conversations with that troll he will keep coming back and spreading this bullshit. Just look at this thread for example; he is trolling people there for months and that topic has 19 pages now so ofc ourse he wont stop as that's what he wants, attention. Worst of all, everyone already knows that he is ban evading troll yet they keep trying to have serious conversation with him. Some are probably doing it out of boredom and as some sort of exercise while others are using him to fill their signature quotas.
I do like the fact that this forum has way less strict rules than any other forum I've ever been part of but that means that there is no effective way to stop trolls like fxsurfer. |

Have Cardano actually done anything yet? Last I checked (which admittedly was a while ago) they had been vaporware for like 4 years.
Nope, still the same old thing, Charles Hoskinson selling a pipe dream to army of his lemmings. AFAIK bunch of shitcoins based their projects on Cardano to benefit from the hype while ADA was pumping last year (I just checked and it managed to surpass 2018s all time high) but due their constant delays and false promises they had to switch on other blockhains. Marketcap of billions without even a working prototype. Their followers are even more zealous than BSV ones so no wonder that they are still in top 10 mcap wise. |
