This looks far too clean to be a mining rig. Please try again and add some wood, velcro and duct tape.

LOL

Lets not forget the lunch box and thermos. Grin

That looks like an Antec 300.

Yup you got it. Smiley The original 300. Even with the front and side filters on, the air flow in thing is freakin amazing.

Zalman and Antec work so well together. They should go on a date ! ahahahah

You have nothing propping your cards up?  Aren't you worried that they will tip over?   Shocked

I think that's worse than the pile of shit in the chair a guy posted a few pages ago. What is the logic behind setting up a rig like that? That makes absolutely zero sense.

Its called creativity.

Bashing some redneck into the ground and calling it entertainment makes no sense.

So ! Guiminer is not to blame ! lol Take that ! Abracanoob ! :p

This DNS issue cost me about two days of mining with what little mhash/s I have. That, combined with a little bad pool luck, earned me .03btc during that time.

Equally depressing was seeing how fast my round credit went away.

Is the pool's website down ?

Bring on the ASICs ! lol

Just added a 5850 to mine and a new VF3000A is on the way. Grin

Runs a tad warmer, but looks waay better without the shroud. ahah

pEACe

You better check those VRM temps, had a very bad experience from running a Sapphire 5850 without a shroud ...

Temps went up by 2-4C without it and I put it back on even though everthing was <70C. Smiley

Hmm.. I wonder if the TFIII heatsink will fit ? lol

pEACe

edit

Nice eye mitak64 ! Was it the heatsink or the pcb that told you its a Sapphire ? hah

If you look at the average pay per share over the last week, we are very close to what it should be for the given difficulty.  This pay per share average includes stale shares.

While that may be the average, the PPS number has come down a fair bit aswell.

Most miners are now were below 20% *a few minutes ago*, but three are still at 100%. One of those has wasted many hours becaue of this.

If we're paid based on the effective mhash/s rate, what does pps have to with this ?

@Kanabis
Are you smelling what I'm smelling ? (I do not mean the herbs even though they do smell freakin sweet. Grin )

There are less than 100 blocks left before the 25btc chop happens.

Is it a coincidence that the few pools I monitor, all seem to be having production downturns and other problems ?

pEACe

all i know is that the share diff goes up as the hash rate increases making it impossible to be a small timer using this p2pmining pool method. im upset to say the least because I have been mining here for a long time. now im speaking about litecoins. im not sure what share diff on the bitcoin side is, or if that increases with hash rate but i was under the impression that diff shares remained 1 with no variance. imo 1 is too low and 3 is the sweet spot for less rejects. Now I could be totally wrong in all the assumptions i am making because I am just going with what i see rather than doing research and figuring it out myself. I am sorry if the allegations i am making are false.

You're wrong about the 'small timers' part. You will earn about the same in the long run...

I usually bet .04 - .08btc on '8000', then if I hit a few, I'll throw in the odd .16 - .32 bet.

I once turned .48btc into 7.5+ doing this. Then I got greedy and lost it all because I made too many .16+ bets and one accidental .888. :p

Waay to much fun ! lol

Here is why I ALWAYS check under the hood.

Tisk tisk Asus...

I've never been happy with an Asus mobo. They've always have USB stability issues or CNTRL/other key acts like you're pressing it when you're not randomly. It's very annoying when your computer ducks randomly in online first person shooters. Just my personal experience.

Hio Smiley

It occured to me later that someone at the store may have handled it improperly. It got flipped around a few times while we were trying to figure out if there were any clearance issuses with the cpu's backplate.

Otherwise, no real complaints here. Every Asus part that I've owned or setup has been flawless. And now that I'm into mining, I regret having sold my Asus 790gx and HD 6870.

Within 2 years, that mobo saw 4 cpus (unlocked 2 of the 3 unlockables), 4 kits of ram, 14 gpus and 3 hdds. 0 compatability issues.

The miner that never was...  Cry  lol

Sounds like a bad keyboard or the port may have had some dust/debris blown into it. Or.. as in my case.. cat hair. ahah

And besides, EVERY part maker has an RMA rate. If it wasn't your keboard, then it was simply bad luck.

These very high stale rates have me wondering. What if someone is stealing shares and/or causing the stales/rejects, hoping to nab one of the last 50btc blocks ?

The first 10 minutes of my last stint were great and showed only 10% stales. Then all of a sudden, the console started to show 50%+.

Something is causing these high stale rates and I don't think its only with this pool. Slush's Stratum interface was showing way too many rejects aswell.

Restarted p2pool and I0coind to confirm and payout all the generations.  P2pool should be better tomorrow according to forrestv.

I'm back and while the stats are better, I'm still at approx 20%.

Should I be running the p2p software ?

I thought it wasn't necessary..

I took this screenie a few minutes ago.

The 1hr average is much higher than the 24hr ave shown here.

Why is there nothing being done about this ? These BTC miners are being ripped off !!

What is up with the uber high doa/stales ?

I'd like to give this pool a good go but the doa/stale rates are HUGE.

No one is below 30% right now.

Hmm.  See the p2pool forum.  Maybe p2pmining is the source of the high rejects?

M

Its getting back to norm but there are still two users @100%.

My stale rates are almost never <10% and usually at 15-20+. Thats ALOT of wasted mhash.

update..

Hours later and the stales are still high. One 400+ mhash/s miner has been at 100% all day.
