Werder Bremen have been the most interesting team when we look at the league standings now. They won all of their last five games in the league and they have reached the third place in the league standings now. They are two points away from the second which are St Pauli and four points away from the leader which are Darmstadt now. After relegating from the Bundesliga, they are fighting really hard to be able to promote to the Bundesliga again. And by their recent effort, they definitely deserve it I think.

They need time indeed. They are trying something new, Xavi is trying it actually. And I would like to see it working out in the future of course. Barcelona are one of the strongest teams of the La Liga and we should be able to see them at top places in the league standings every season. They should be fighting for the league title also while doing this. But they have a brand new squad now and the players are young and inexperienced mostly. They need a long time to adapt to each other and start to play like the Barcelona we've known.

Golden State Warriors really tore Dallas Mavericks apart this morning. To be honest, I wasn't having a this kind of expectation from them. It was too easy for Warriors as they won by 130-92. Curry or Thompson didn't have so many points. They were just solid as a team I mean. When it comes to Mavericks, Doncic was good with 25 points and 8 rebounds. But the rest of the players were too inadequate in performance. And for this reason, they couldn't be a big competition for Warriors. They need to improve their performance immediately after this result.

Of course, so many people would be happy to see Bayern Munich's high dominance ending finally in the Bundesliga. But for now, it still doesn't seem like a thing that is very likely to happen. Dortmund have dropped the gap with them to six points, yeah. But this is still a big advantage for a team like Bayern Munich. They don't make mistakes too often. Dortmund are helpless against them because of that. The only thing they can do is to keep winning and hope for Bayern Munich to stumble more than now.

There is really a possibility for Lakers to miss the playoffs. Maybe it is not a very big possibility but Lakers can really miss their chance of qualifying for the playoffs. They are five wins above the border to qualify. As long as they maintain a good streak, they can keep themselves safe. Maybe they would have to play more games in the playoffs but at least they wouldn't say goodbye to this season very early. Now they have a big hindrance ahead of them which is Nets. I really am curious about what they will do in this game.

Coventry - Stoke game is one of the most exciting games today I think. I'm expecting it to be really competitive. Stoke are only one point ahead of Coventry in the league standings now. Their recent forms in the last five weeks of the league were similar to each other. Their last head-to-head games ended really close. Stoke weren't able to win any of those games. I mean their last three head-to-heads by the way. The game has just started and I feel like this is Stoke's time to win.

When we look at the last four seasons of the Premier League, we see that Manchester City became the champions for three times and Liverpool were the champions for only once. None of the remaining teams have been able to win the title. And this will be the case for this season too as it seems. Again, one of these teams will be the champions. But rather than seeing Manchester City, I would prefer seeing Liverpool reaching the title. I wouldn't like to see Manchester City turning into Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga. It'd make the league too boring.

Napoli have a big chance ahead to melt the point difference between them and Inter next week seemingly. Because Inter are going to play a home game against Milan. As we all know, Milan are one of the biggest candidates of the title in this season. As they are going to play in the same stadium, both of them have a big chance to win this game. Napoli would really make use of a draw here. And their opponent is Venezia. It is an away game but this is another easy game for Napoli. They should be able to win and go on.

PSG continued to win this week too. They defeated Reims in a home game by 4-0. This was a comfortable win certainly and they still maintain an eleven-point difference with the second team that are Nice now. And it was nice to see Messi making an assist four minutes after he entered the game. Verratti was the player of the game to me as he scored two goals. He is one of the critical players for this team in the midfield. It seems like PSG are comfortable at their position in the league standings and this will go on like this till the last week of the season.

There is a nice competition between Atletico Madrid and Barcelona for the 4th position in the league standings now. And Real Sociedad are right behind them. Atletico Madrid and Barcelona both won this week. Atletico Madrid had a really hard time beating Valencia home by 3-2. Because they turned the game around incredibly from a 0-2 disadvantage. It is really difficult to do against a team like Valencia. And Valencia were really unlucky to concede two goals after the 90th minute. And Barcelona beat Alaves by 1-0 away. This was a hard-fought win but an important one.

The most profitable teams of the week at the top were Inter and Napoli surely. Juventus were also profitable as they should be thankful for getting a draw against Milan despite an inadequate performance. But they are not as much as Inter and Napoli of course. Inter scored in the last moments and won like that barely. But it was still a valuable team as we are talking about the Serie A title. Napoli have joined this Inter - Milan duo again by demolishing Salernitana. But they still don't seem to me as a more credible team than Milan.

Manchester City finally stumbled this week and this helped Liverpool a lot. I was expecting Manchester City to defeat Southampton but they got a surprising 1-1 draw. Southampton scored a very early goal and kept it for a very long time. Manchester City equalized it but couldn't score the second one. By this result, Manchester City couldn't defeat them in both games in the league this season. And Liverpool benefited from their point loss like defeating Crystal Palace by 3-1 away. Now the gap is nine points and Liverpool can make it six if they win their absent game.
