I think we should probably be looking at more established members, though if you had hundreds of reports in there it might be a different case. If you want to be a mod then keep reporting and put in the work to show you would be beneficial as staff.

Politics & Society is trash. People go there, look at a headline, and post a few sentences of their first gut reaction without reading any of the other replies. Who here is up to the task of moderating the section in order to remove this garbage, but without hampering the free exchange of ideas there? It'll be tough, since I do want to hear the thoughts of people who can't speak perfect English, people with extreme/offensive ideas, people who are rude while still making legitimate points, etc. So it'll be a difficult balancing act. There is so many topic talking about merit, how do i get merit, merit system is unfair, etc
Basically I like to read, but not good in write, it's hard for me to give a good answer to a topic, because many more experienced people, more expert people in this forum, of course their answers are better than me, so I am more often read without commenting, bad comments will only become junk, so very hard for me to get merit by making a good post

The point is I do not care wether I get merit or not, my rank is up or not, the important thing is i can learn something from this forum, at the end the knowledge that i get from here can be used to get money from trading or from other, increasing my knowledge is more important than getting merit or raising rank

No need to create an account and post such things like this that you don't even care about Merit. The fact that you were able to get merits for your posts means the system works.
I was a member already when introduced merit  and I can't say how it influenced the achievement of new merit. I would create a new account for the experiment but I'm just learning what the crypto world is and it will last longer And there you have it, even THE PHARMACIST has told you that this kind of experiment isn't needed, and having busted like that, I think its a shameful thing mate. I thought you already knew that Merit trading is forbidden because you already reached the MEMBER position. Now that you have been given some answers for this thread I think you should already locked this up for eternity. Various number of high ranking people can easily go up because they're already a quality posters and they do know what to do just to earn Merits from the others. So there would be no problem for them in ranking up. |

There are already some people who created their alts even though the new system was implemented months ago... Let me give you an example... Jet Cash who's already a HERO MEMBER, He created his alt Talk Merit... he's a great example for your experiment... although his account was still a newbie but he already gained enough to reach a MEMBER position... sooner or later he will also be like nullius who doesn't have any problem on ranking up... |

Did you ever wonder why merits are so difficult to earn? I have noticed that mostly the higher members of this forum received more merit even their post, comments, and replies are too shorts. Sometimes they gived and received more merits than lower members that why I was thinking about are the right or the true purpose of implementing merit system. And I was thinking again if this forum's mainly purpose is for helping others or to impress others?
Thats why others hardly to think that the merit system is unfair and this implementation is for only those who have multiple account with higher and lower accounts. Sad to say but we don't have a choice but to stIll waits for those kindly members that support and follow the regulations to give us a merit.
No offense this is based from my observations and curiosity.
If you are agree with this thought kindly share your ideas and opinions.

For shitposters, spammers and other non quality posters, ABSOLUTELY YES, it is hard gaining Merits for them... I can't totally agree with you mate, not because I can receive Merits that can help me, its just that those HIGH RANKING people are the ones who really knows about whats going on here and stayed for the better future for this Forum... They received more MERITS than the low ranking members, why? Although they have some short sentences to make but still it has a clear message for the OP/s. They're giving us an example of a quality posts... well, maybe there are some shit post of them that also gains Merits but it's their own decision whether they give or not... so let's just wait until they find our post a quality that suits their tastes. And lastly... Don't compare Merits to the stars in the sky, because whatever you do you can't reach the stars above... No one has ever done that... Merits can be earned unlike the stars that you've been talking, you can never have one. |

I'm not sure why i've got dragged into this. I don't farm merits, and I don't sell or exchange them.
I think he has a problem with you guys that keeps on getting more attention to the public, and maybe it's the reason for you to be dragged on this situation though. As I've been looking around on this BTCforJoe challenge, I can't see any problem and can't really tell that this is just for merit farming. As for nullius is also one of the participants of this said challenge and considered as a quality poster. And IMO, He's just jealous of you JOE. |

So that's what happened ,really first time I see that in the forum so much time falls, I freak out a little in truth  . The good thing is that it is already solved  We might taught that this site was already down with this kind of error, but luckily I didn't experienced this. Great work THEYMOS, for fixing this as soon as possible to prevent any more conflicts during this rundown time. I hope the new forum will be launched as early as possible to eliminate the large number of toxics that keeps on lurking around this old forum of ours. |

I just want to know if there's a way to know how can we see the IGNORE LISTS of some HIGH RANK PEOPLE ESPECIALLY the DT's.
Because as for the newbies they wouldn't know if they're just wasting their efforts to get Merits if they have been put into IGNORE the past time.
What I mean is: (For example) You have been put into IGNORE this time, and later on you have a Quality Post that can be given some Merits but as you have been ignored you can't received any. ( A WASTED EFFORT )
Is there any other way to be remove onto their IGNORE LIST? I can't see any good reason to IGNORE people in their whole life. They can also make right things even if it's just 1 out of a million times.

What he was saying, is that the High Ranking people doesn't much like removing some accounts from their ignore lists. You can always UNIGNORE somebody whenever you like though its your choice and aspects if you want too see the posts of that person. People nowadays especially the HIGHER UPS, doesnt do this quitely. If they put someone on IGNORE then so be it, you've been put into ignore for the rest of your life. |
