3861  Economy / Reputation / Re: Some Gave me Neutral Because I have hidden reserve price on: December 26, 2015, 04:58:38 PM
You got the rating because a scam accusation against you had been opened[1]. I dont patrol the auction section for these things. The rating is neutral because I dont see it as a scam, but just as a waste of peoples time.

Edit: Whats your intention here?

dont install on a phone that also has a bitcoin wallet app..
best way to test is use bluestacks (or other google emulator) on a clean (non bitcoin using) PC

I did just that, looked fine to me. I expected some form of virus or apps with insane rights. They can all read from the SD card though IIRC. Most likely legit xapo based faucets, quickly build with unity. OPs incentive to post about them seems to be the XAPO ref link that mods removed twice.

Disclaimer: I just did a quick check, did not create any of the needed accounts. I also had no honey pot wallets installed on the test system. Stay cautious.
3863  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Trying to import private key with bitcoin core on: December 26, 2015, 04:04:15 PM
Did you get a password with the private key?

BIP 38 private key: 6PfT3TGreKF8FEUr9beib16aGJaqvpbvFheG8D5F1FsF3o4uyi5ob9ksdD (pass is "abc")
Private key: 5JYXd9hm7iDyzxZm1RFC5EX5Afq49kcqYSY79MPgUfjgtave5wW
Address: 1NJz1FpxFS28FPepG2aEw61qYvFMktHijT
Private key (comp): KzSAAZQuicxJapFbEr1dsgfjPgP6udXBFmiJ7s17F7yR4EUAY5ko
Address: 1gpjXPtmoSzAMcA9i1kZ2p5XZcykXChfp

You can test the above on bitaddress.org (or your local copy) via "Wallet Details".
3864  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Testnet block height 627810 (port 18333) on: December 26, 2015, 03:55:33 PM
The diff on testnet resets if there was no block found after 20 minutes. Thus the difficulty stays low and testnet miners find more blocks than mainnet miners.
3865  Other / Meta / Re: Hilarious bots posting nonsense: what's the point? on: December 26, 2015, 09:46:48 AM
Looks like the bot switched to extortion mode, posting a btc address and "want it to stop". Should make it easy to set up a filter for it and ban automated.
Will work for a day or so I'd say, then he'd revert to the random spam.
Aand he's back to the random spam. Anyway I guess we got the answer as to why the botmaker is doing this, extortion(well kinda)
Yeah that's a useless suggestion by the user (not trying to be offensive).
Pssst, thats shorena

Smiley

I just brought it up because I think Mitchells bot works like that. I also noticed that posts with a clear pattern are faster removed, which led me to believe that Mitchell is still feeding the bot with new strings to match.
3866  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: DoubleBot.com - The only one place to double your BTC with a 100% guarantee. on: December 26, 2015, 09:14:08 AM
Alright, so we wait a bit longer.

@antisuer1 Nothing like that.
3867  Other / Meta / Re: Referral links are considered SPAM in OP but mediafire downloadable links not? on: December 26, 2015, 12:56:34 AM
Do yourself a favor and stop bothering about this. The rules will not change. I'm out.

If you read my last reply, that's what I did Sir!
Be happy & sleep well now!

I found a "bitcointalk.org" that allows referal links. https://freebitcointalk.org

Looks like a site I wouldnt even create an account on, but maybe Im just biased.

3869  Economy / Micro Earnings / Re: Earning bitcoins with your android device on: December 26, 2015, 12:20:39 AM

TESTED!
I'm going to share the way how to earn instant bitcoin to your XAPO wallet.
These apps not available in playstore market you can only download them from links. Download them from your phone and install, enable side app instalation on your phone. There is no viruses trust me. I installed them myself!

ONLY ANDROID DEVICES!!!(unfortunately for now they don't have ios)

-You can earn estimated 0.30-0.50$ per day.
-Every half hour 3 claims.
-You can multiply every win 2x.
-After 15 claim 5x bonus. (example if you won 1600x5=8000 plus you can multiply 2x so =16000 ) you gotta have patience.

Simply explaining you enter the game(for example Wheel of Bitcoin) you speen first 3 times free and the you can speen unlimited times but you're gonna view/see ads. Then you can press double or nothing, so yuc can double rewards or get 0, depends what you gonna get on wheel.

So? Where is t he link?

I think the innocent ones will not search those stuffs if they do not know about it at first. Also why are adblocks and parental controls invented?

Because:

#1 parents are lazy
#2 parents have no idea about the internet

But these adblocks and parental control measures will surely not block these threads. That's what my issue is. Huh I didn't ask to ban internet for this reason. Try to have some logic. Roll Eyes

What you are asking is that the forum does the job of the parent. I find that ridiculous. Its the parents job to prepare their children for the world. Dont cross the street when the light shows red, dont take candy from strangers, dont stick your fingers in the outlet, etc. pp. The internet is part of our world now. If the parent in question has no idea about it, there are a few options. They can buy software that limits access, this will work only for a while. They can educated themself or learn together with the kid, ridiculous concept I know. They can outright ban internet usage. They let the kids explore the internet and see what happens. All this falls apart once the kid becomes a teen and explores on their own anyway. Just click here to confirm that you are 18, like thats gonna stop a horny teenager.

Edit: In terms of "NSFW'ness" the majority of the pictures in the thread would not even trigger the youtube "gotta login to verify your age" protection:

3871  Other / Meta / Re: 28 activity in one day on: December 25, 2015, 11:26:37 PM
Yup. Make 14 posts before 12PM forum time on Tuesday(activity reset, not every Tuesday though, every second one) and 14 post after 12 PM forum time , on Tuesday
That's correct but the best way to explain is even if you just made 1 post in given activity period and rest 27 posts in another activity period on the same day then also your activity will be 28.

and you are still a newbie for another 2 weeks.

3873  Other / Meta / Re: Watchlist - Wrong sorting on: December 25, 2015, 11:22:04 PM
I found another "weird" behaviour with the "mark all messages as read" option, not sure I should create a different topic just for this, but here it goes:

"Watchlist" (having multiple pages) -> "mark all messages as read" = All topics from 1st page are marked as read, as the url specifies all topics that should be marked as read.
"Show new replies to your posts." (having multiple pages) -> exactly same behaviour as the above.
"Show unread posts since last visit." (having multiple pages) -> "mark all messages as read" = ALL topics are marked as read. (url does not specify which topics should be marked as read).

I'm not sure if this is supposed to work like this, but it's the main reason I prefer "Watchlist" over "Show unread posts since last visit.", nowadays.

Please dont(!) fix that. I was really happy when I once had 10+ page one my watchlist that I could only mark a few very old as read. Took me a while to be brave enough, because I suspected all would be marked as read.

I think you misunderstood what I was asking if it should be changed:

"Watchlist" (having multiple pages) -> "mark all messages as read" = Only topics from 1st page are marked as read, as the url specifies all topics that should be marked as read.
"Show new replies to your posts." (having multiple pages) -> "mark all messages as read" = Only topics from 1st page are marked as read, as the url specifies all topics that should be marked as read.
"Show unread posts since last visit." (having multiple pages) -> "mark all messages as read" = ALL topics are marked as read.

I think it would be more helpful if this "unread" list action worked as in "watchlist" and "unread replies".

Well the link says "all" so I expected the fix to indeed mark "all" as read, on all pages, not just the one shown. Maybe rename it to "mark this page as read" for clarification or add two links. It should certainly be consistant over all pages.
3874  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Running Bitcoin core over public wifi on: December 25, 2015, 11:17:51 PM
As an alternative, you could consider running it in Amazon's AWS and connecting in remotely from your notebook.

Since AWS also has a 12-month free usage tier for anyone with a credit card (including prepaid gift-card types), you can try it "risk free"* without having to bring the whole blockchain down to your notebook. You also get free usage for both Windows and Linux systems so you can play with both.

* may contain traces of risk

Has anyone run a full node on a free(!) AWS? I doubt its working. IIRC free instances are crawling at best.

So with all the hopeless shills here, when is it time you consider this a fail?

1 week without withdrawals? 1 month? 2 maybe? Just checking, because I have something prepared.

Question: If the campaign doesn't pay out, do you think the campaign manager is partly responsible and should receive negative trust?

I guess it depends on what the manager could have done. If someone does all they can to protect the participants, e.g. warn early about possible issues or lack of communication, they might not get a negative rating.
3877  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Suggestion: Button that check/uncheck "send this transaction anonymously" on: December 25, 2015, 10:33:32 PM
-snip-
Yea, but cash does have serial numbers on them and if a camera can pick that up then you are most definitely going to get tracked or caught.

ENHANCE![1] Sorry, but I can not take you serious with that point. Just turn the bill around and the serial is no longer seen by the camera that hardly has the resultion to make identify a person[2].

-snip-
I don't know if that was the poster's original point, but one way in which cameras can destroy supposed anonymity of cash is the following:  Suppose you are an activist and want to uncover some illegal situation happening in a big corporation.  For that, you buy a camera you are going to install to produce video evidence.  Unfortunately, the camera is detected by the owners before you are able to retrieve it afterwards.  Police is now able to trace the stores in which such a camera has been sold recently (even worse if there's any kind of serial number involved), and may use the purchase information provided by the stores to get CCTV footage of you buying it.  No matter whether you paid by cash or credit card.

This is of course not directly related to breaking anonymity of the payment, but it does not matter in the end.  I am aware that such a process actually happened to animal-right activists in Austria.  Apparently police even raided some homes of people who just happened to have bought the same camera at a similar time and paid by card but were not involved in any activism at all.

Yeah this was more or less my point, the actual transaction may be anonymous, but it's pointless since there is evidence of the actual persons involved, which is even more revealing than using Bitcoin as it is today to be honest. If you have all the cam footage and authorities can have it of all places and angles, they can reconstruct your path and eventually find out who was involved, so the cash transaction would need to happen in physical isolation from any cameras which is just a pain in the ass for any normal person not doing anything illegal that just wants to remain anonymous.

Sorry, but where the hell do you live that you have problems not getting filmed by a camera when in public? I know central london is a problem[3], but even their system was unable to do what you suggest in a murdercase[4,5].

3878  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum default transaction fee very high on: December 25, 2015, 10:00:44 PM
What is the minimum transaction fee I can put manually ? I want to send 0.00005btc. I don't care if it takes more hours to be done.

Bitcoin-core v.0.11.2 now requires at least 0.00005BTC as TX fees.

No, paying a lower fee is perfectly fine your TX just counts as "free" (as in: one without fee).

If you don't include this minimum fee, your TX risk the chance of not being relayed to other nodes on the Bitcoin network.  Most miners have upgraded to v.0.11.2 also, therefore may not include your TX in their block - leaving your TX out there not being confirmed or even being relayed to other nodes.

Bitcoin helps you being "free" of banks - it was never intended to be a "free" network to send money.  Put the minimum fee required.

PS: If you want to send just a 0.00005 BTC transaction, you are spamming the network.

If it was never intended to allow free transactions, why is there a priority system in the first place?

Yes, it is not recommended to pay a low or no fee at all, but its possible and the transaction will get relayed by nodes. Maybe not on the first attempt, but if you keep rebroadcasting it, it will reach miners. Miners - again - may take some time to put it in a block (think days, not hours), but eventually will do it. If you are perfectly fine to wait a few weeks for your transaction to confirm, its perfeclty viable to create it without fee. Keep in mind that you will need to rebroadcast the transaction from time to time, once or twice a day should be enough.

A single TX without fee is hardly spam.

Can I integrate Apache Tomcat with XAAMP and run it on an offline server? And do I need to wait for 10 minutes like the online version ?

Thanks for the link Smiley)

You will need to access bitcointalk.org, Im not sure how you would do this from an offline system. Maybe I just misunderstand something here?

lol LEGENDARY AT LAST

Look at all these sub human heros lurking around here.. lolol jk ^_^

Feelsgoodman.jpg

So if the guarantee is at 1052, I'd be curious to hear who has the current record for latest legendary.  Seems OP here hit it somewhere around 1008 (exactly?).

I'm in the 900s and I'm still hero, I'd like to see if I can last longer than 1008 before I rank up.

I added you to the list. The range is from 775-1030, so at the latest you will hit legendary at 1030 activity or (due to your posts) at 1036.
