Except when the possibility of "low" being ~$100 and people bought in at $1000+, it becomes a matter of cutting losses vs "panic" selling. Selling at a 50% loss to buy more on the cheap is smarter than holding all the way down to 90% loss and not mitigating your losses at all like a lemming. The amount of people who are losing their shirt atm is quite significant, and their seat is only going to get hotter.
Stop losses, stop losses, stop losses. No shame in cutting your losses and re-evaluating. Buy cheaper to better your average entry point did good for me most of the time. |

Hey, I take offence to this! I am one of these 'stupid' people. As they say, it is probable that Bitcoin will have a binary outcome, so I simply jumped on as soon as I could (which in hindsight, was unfortunately close to the ATH) but I have held ever since. No plans to panic sell. As far as I'm concerned, my coins are still worth at least $1060 because I will not part with them for any less. Though I'm not in always hodl camp and I trade my coins as there's no tomorrow, that's the spirit. |

I would suspect that this massive Bid Wall registering on Bitstamp, is actually due to the massive Liar Walls on Bitfinex. In fact, I am sure that this is the case. Bitstamp is not showing orders from Bitfinex, you can just do market trades at Stamp from Bitfinex. |

Those that bought at peak of April 2013 rise are not doing bad right now  Of course it's not best thing on the world to buy at peak but historically that wasn't a huge problem so far in the long term. I wish I bought at 32 in 2011 and never sold |
