3861  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Decent EU-based exchange? on: January 15, 2018, 06:52:07 PM
Most European countries are annoying with every business related to cryptocurrencies and it will worst soon or later.
So being based in Europe is not so easy to run a crypto business. I know Bitcoin.de based in Germany and BL3P.eu which is based in The Netherlands if I remember.
Maybe you can give a try again with Kraken?

I wouldn't say so. Actualy I think EU is quite good environment for cryptocurrencies. EU is trying to regulate cryptocurrencies, probably through some directive, but I don't think this will be bad.
Bitstamp is EU based exchanger, one of the bigest and the best and I don't think they have some particular problems running their business.
3862  Economy / Exchanges / Re: SpectroCoin Bitcoin debit card (0% loading and 0.5% unload fee) + Giveaway on: January 15, 2018, 01:15:22 PM
Good to see that new provider is on the way.
Many bitcoiners think that not so many people use Bitcoin debit cards and that the fact Visa is no longer supporting the cards hasn't caused a big disturbance but the situation is just the opposite.
I think many Bitcoin debit cards users suffered many inconveniences so I.hope these cards will be on the track soon along with the new Visa partner.
3863  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is 2018 the most crucial year for bitcoin? on: January 15, 2018, 10:28:37 AM
At this moment I don't see some signs that would tell 2018 is the crucial year for Bitcoin.
As far as I'm concerned, 2017 was the most important year for Bitcoin so far, some kind of crossroads when many important questions were pulled out like forks, fees, different streams in the community, huge price rise. It's yet to see if this year will be so intensive too.
3864  Economy / Marketplace / Re: bitcoin price from 20$ down to 13$. What do you think about this decline? on: January 14, 2018, 06:09:01 PM
I think everything has been already said about that. It is correction that has been expected and I.don't think there is something to worry about.
Bitcoin price changes very quickly in both ways, up or down and current price is in accordance with the situation on the market. Many investors have sold their coins in the past period so I suppose we are waiting again for balance to be established and the price will rise again, you can't be sure of that.
3865  Economy / Economics / Re: why do people agree to pay taxes? on: January 14, 2018, 10:41:33 AM
When you live in certain country and you are a loyal and decent citizen you also have certain obligations, not just the rights. And exactly the obligation and duty is something that many people forget and they only claim their rights and benefits.
But all this benefits should be financed from somwhere and that is what taxation is for. I agree that it has to be reasonable but you can't be rebelious about everything.
3866  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin banned on: January 13, 2018, 06:39:34 PM
I don't think so. Don't get me wrong but Indonesia is not such important player on Bitcoin market so that this ban could influence price significantly.
Also, Bitcoin price has become more resilient to such events and doesn't react so havily anymore. But hope that this ban will be just temporary.
3867  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do we really need Bitcoin? on: January 13, 2018, 12:47:40 PM
I think that it has come the moment when we needed something different than traditional financial system, we needed some alternative and Bitcoin is representing all that.
It gives users the chance to be independent and to make their own opportunities to make profit and they don't need to do business with banks anymore. That is the huge advantage.
3868  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoins Next Stop $50,000 on: January 12, 2018, 09:16:20 PM
Bitcoin has proven that everything is possible and that price can change in the speed of lightning.
50000$ is a big step ahead and maybe this year will not bring us such fast movement but that doesn't mean we have to be disappointed.
There is no sense in rushing to fast ahead, let's be patient and see.
3869  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Time to move from Electrum on: January 12, 2018, 07:54:28 PM
I beleive that every wallet have some kind of vulnerability. Those who are popular among many users, like Electrum, are more exposed and hackers are always trying to find the way how to breake the protection. But that doesn't mean that Electrum is bad wallet.
Because of potential vulnerabilities is clever to use multiple wallets of multiple types. You can't never be safe enough.
3870  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How Can We Make Sure Bitcoin Never Ends? on: January 12, 2018, 07:19:46 PM
Everything begins and ends somewhere so does Bitcoin. But Bitcoin will survive as long as there will be users who will support it and as long it will be accepted and implemented in society.
Having mind that Bitcoin is becoming more and more popular and that it already has the place in new and modern finances we don't have to worry that it will end.
3871  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Where can I buy a car with bitcoin? on: January 12, 2018, 07:54:35 AM
So far haven't heard there is any authorized car dealer that accepts Bitcoins as a payment method.
Probably at the moment the only way is if you find private person that is willing to accept Bitcoins for the car is selling. So basicly you can't buy a new car.
3872  Economy / Exchanges / Re: List of bitcoin debit cards on: January 11, 2018, 06:52:14 PM
I've decided to try Mistertango. Already have opened account and ordered the card. I think their terms are just fine. Hope it will arrive soon and that everything will function well.
I needed something to replace my Xapo debit cardw, at least temporary.
3873  Economy / Exchanges / Bitcoin balance withdrawal from Skrill to Visa on: January 11, 2018, 06:20:17 PM
Skrill alows to fund account with Bitcoin and the balance is shown to Euro. I know that this balance can't be withdrawn to Skrill prepaid card but I would like to know if it's possible to withdraw that balance made with Bitcoin to Visa card or bank account. Any experiences?
3874  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin drops $2,000 in value as South Korea announces planned trading ban on: January 11, 2018, 05:55:33 PM
I don't think that South Korea is the reason.
If you were watching the market and the price recently you could see that the price is moving between 13000$ and 15000$ so I would call this usual volatility.
It's true that price also depends on outside factors and announcement related to economy and politics but don't always trying to find some deep causes.
3875  Economy / Exchanges / Re: List of bitcoin debit cards on: January 11, 2018, 12:12:50 PM
https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/7oabzl/all_bitcoin_visa_debit_cards_are_now_cancelled/

This Reddit post claims that all bitcoin Visa cards are to be canceled. Re-quoting the message:

Quote
   Dear Cardholder,

We, WaveCrest, are the issuer of your Visa Prepaid card, which you have enrolled for through one of our program partners. Visa have today instructed us that we must close all WaveCrest issued Visa Prepaid Cards with immediate effect.

    How will this affect you?

Your WaveCrest-issued Visa Prepaid Card will no longer function. However, as your funds were stored in your e-wallet they will remain accessible to you via your wallet provider.

We thank you for your cooperation.

    Yours sincerely,

WaveCrest Wave Crest Holdings Limited is an electronic money institution licensed by the Financial Services Commission, Gibraltar.
Assuming that Wavecrest is the issuer of most of bitcoin debit cards this would be very widespread. The question is, which cards would NOT be affected?

That is also what I would like to know.
Is there any Bitcoin debit card that is still working and available for EU? I suppose that all Visa cards are disabled because of Wave Crest as a provider but what about MasterCards debit cards. They were not so spread as Visa so is there any that could be recommended?
Maybe has someone already received some update about new Visa provider for EU?
3876  Bitcoin / Mycelium / Re: Mycelium Bitcoin Wallet on: January 11, 2018, 08:46:16 AM
Has anyone tried Mycelium service to buy/sell Bitcoins? Is it working fine with all cards?
Is it working well, how are your experiences and would you recommend to use this option? Would like to know your opinion.
3877  Economy / Economics / Re: What will happen to the banks if people uses cryptocurrencies more than fiat? on: January 10, 2018, 07:18:10 PM
Let's be serious, that it's impossibe. This society is still depending on banks and traditional financial system.
According to some researches about 2 millions of people are using cryptocurrencies. Comparing to overal number of inhabitants in the world this is not significant number so they can't endanger banks and their existance.
But the purpose of Bitcoin isn't to fully replace fiat currencies.
It will happen sooner that banks will accept Bitcoin than be replaced by it.
3878  Economy / Economics / Re: Many new rich people are created from Bitcoin on: January 10, 2018, 02:34:33 PM
I wouldn't say that so much people have become rich because of Bitcoin.
We are all aware that majority of coins is in hands of small group of people and only few of them could be called realy rich. Although many are dreaming they will become millionares.
But there are many who make their living with Bitcoin or is an extra income. This is possible just takes time to make it.
3879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Can ethereum be beat Bitcoin on: January 10, 2018, 11:06:37 AM
To my opinion no, Ethereum can't replace Bitcoin at number one position among cryptocurrencies.
Ethereum is good altcoin and worth trading and investing but it will remain just second best. Probably it will grow further and attract new investors, the price will go up, but that will not be enough to become number one.
