My hair starts to tickle when I see a casino saying..... "We do not have strict KYC requirement" ....and then they say that they need your ID to be able to play and then more verification to withdraw and on top of that some strange withdrawal limits per day.  Roll Eyes

They might be old hands at this, but they are still full of tricks and strategies to try and stop people from withdrawing money from their site. The casinos that are serious about their business, do not play these funny tricks... they make the withdrawal process as smooth as possible. (Only checking for strange money laundering practices)  Tongue
3862  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling control on: August 27, 2021, 01:11:36 PM
The Slot developers prey on your emotions ...big time!  Why do you think "free Spins" are randomly added with variable wins? If everything was predictable and scripted, nobody would want to play.  The "big bells" that you hear, with most of the Slots when you hit the Free Spins... are there for a reason... you are trained subconsciously like Pavlov's dog!

A lot of people think they are under control when they are gambling, but the science behind these Slots ..tell a whole different story. The house are slowly but surely taking your money... and a small amount of people are winning big amounts... and when they stop..they win the house.  Grin

3863  Economy / Economics / Re: Amazon's future plans on: August 27, 2021, 10:10:15 AM
I think people in the Crypto space should not get too excited about this rumor. Amazon will take one of the following options...

1. Accepting Crypto currencies via Payment processors - Simply because the regulatory framework is not in place to accept Bitcoin or any other Crypto token as a "currency" - This is just a clever way to bypass regulations and to say they still deal in Fiat currencies.

2. They will create their own token - If they get regulatory approval to accept Crypto as a currency, then they will create their own token that they can manipulate. (Full KYC Requirements and control over the development and Supply of the tokens)  Roll Eyes
3864  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My friend got arrested in a p2p scam on: August 27, 2021, 08:23:02 AM
The moment when these transactions hit the Fiat system, where all the KYC regulations are required... you can run into trouble. The people who actually do the crime.. will look for ways to move those "dirty" bitcoins through platforms where they will not be detected. Your friend was part of that chain and he got burnt when he wanted to "cash out" through the Bank.  Roll Eyes

We do not know if the bitcoins we receive or send, might be tainted.... so the moment when it goes through a platform where someone can be targeted.. then everything goes wrong very quickly.  Angry
3865  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcasino.io 💜 — The ultimate casino experience 🎲 LIVE CASINO on: August 26, 2021, 06:28:44 PM

That's a banger of a promotion for your slots and by far this the second best looking game you have in terms of graphics next to the alien one, hopefully I have a lot of free time this weekend to try out this one.

I have to say.... of all the new releases this year... "3021 The Bounty Hunter Gigablox" has to be one of my favorites. I think.. having a bit of a dry spell lately... this Slot broke the ice for me. (I have to admit, I played this on another casino.. because I was looking forward to this one for a while)

This is one of those Slots, where you just cannot wait to hit the Free Spin feature. (Hoping that the Space Age Sniper will just hit the 25x ... just that one time)  Grin

The RTP of 94% is a bit low and possibly one of the Cons of this Slot, but the medium Variance make up for that.  Wink   I think once you hit a good multiplier on some big blocks.... you will agree with me that it is worth the time you spend on it in the base game.  Wink

Ever wondered how the Red Tiger Jackpot Network works?

Well wonder no more: https://news.stake.com/how-does-the-red-tiger-jackpot-network-work/

In 3 hours from now Stake will be down for 90 minutes.

We'll be running some routine maintenance to help optimise your experience.

We appreciate your understanding ✌

Thank you very much for this post... I was one of the lucky few that actually won those Jackpots ...twice. (Both of them ..Daily Jackpots)  When I started playing Red Tiger games, I saw the jackpots and I thought it was just marketing bullshit (useless ticker), but it proved me wrong.  Wink

Just a quick question that are not answered in the article... Are these Jackpots linked to "Stake Only" or are we competing for these Jackpots against all the other casinos that are hosting these "Red Tiger" Slots?
3867  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2021-08-10] AMC will accept bitcoin as payment for movie tickets by year end on: August 26, 2021, 09:50:50 AM
I have to say, when I started this thread... I did not think it would get this much debate. Absolutely great to see so many people, actively talking about this great announcement and how it can boost adoption.

I just hope this will get maximum exposure and that people will support this, because without support.... this will fade away and Merchants will stop accepting Bitcoin payments. (Like we have seen with Pizza chains that experimented with this before)  Sad

Do not "hoard" those coins .....hoping for huge profits... use the coins to pay for entertainment and just buy more coins. Merchant adoption will boost consumer adoption and that will push up the demand and the Bitcoin price.  Wink
3868  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Reminder: US House meeting to end privacy, mining and software development in US on: August 26, 2021, 08:19:15 AM
Well, Banks took a beating against Bitcoin and Crypto currencies... and also large financial consulting firms... so it is just a natural push back from the government that protects them. Some Bank even suggested lately that the developers associated with Bitcoin should be prosecuted. (People like Gavin Andresen)  Roll Eyes

So even if you not the creator of the "privacy" software and only the maintainer.... they will hunt you down.  Angry   The US is fast becoming a "Police State" like China... but they are always pointing fingers at China.  Roll Eyes
3869  Economy / Economics / Re: The reason to hodl bitcoin on: August 25, 2021, 07:22:14 PM
You assume that the bitcoins will stay in demand for many years to come and the demand is feeding a long-term price increase, but that is flawed. Gold might have been the go to option for people, because of scarcity ...but bitcoins are devalued by the massive amounts of Alt coins that are being added every day.

You see, for every new Alt coin that are added... the demand for bitcoins decrease... because people are now buying shitcoins and not bitcoins anymore. So the Bitcoin killers are all the Shitcoins and forks and GovCoins that are going to be added in the future.  Angry
3870  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My first bitcoin shopping on: August 25, 2021, 10:30:18 AM
Yes, my first Bitcoin purchase was just as interesting..

I just got into Bitcoin, when I saw an advertisement for a beautiful Butterfly bracelet that was made from a real Butterfly and covered in places with 24 Carat Gold. The price was very reasonable ...so I bought one. It was months later, when I received the bracelet through a courier service and I had to pay additional import duties to receive it.

The Gold on the bracelet looked "fake" ...so I took it to a jewelry shop and I asked them to test it. Their response.... "The bracelet cannot be tested, because the whole thing was covered with an epoxy coating and if you crack the coating... then the whole thing will break.

A few months after that... someone in the household broke the wing by accident and I took it to the jewelry shop again.... they tested it and it turned out that it was just Gold paint.  Roll Eyes   (Very good scam... selling a product that cannot be tested until it's broken)  Roll Eyes
3871  Economy / Economics / Re: Is there a possibility of a Country to ban access to Crypto games? on: August 25, 2021, 08:19:08 AM
Right now, Government of my country is in a process of trying to track players/account holders of a one crypto game to ask for tax because of fast and good earning rate, and I think it's not possible. So in my conclusion if they can't tracked players, is there a possibility of a country to ban this NFT game? I want to know everyone's opinion.

Local law enforcement can subpoena your ISP to give them access to their "logs" on their server to determine what sites was visited by the users. So they do not have to contact the game provider that are most probably in another country.

Also, if you transfer money from your local exchange to buy "credits" or "tokens" ... they can subpoena your local Exchange to get those logs. (Most income goes through the local exchanges, so they know about that)

In my country tax authorities audit your returns and do lifestyle audits and if you cannot explain your income... then you in deep trouble.  Angry
3872  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can anyone explain these gambling questions? (Client Seed & RTP) on: August 25, 2021, 07:17:40 AM
A site like "Stake" provides a feature where you can change your "Client Seed" ..... so in theory, if say 1000 people use the same "Client Seed" ... then all those gamblers that are sharing the same seed, are supposed to win and lose at the same time... right?  (Does the Server Seed differ from user to user too.. or is it the same for all the users on the site?)
The server seed for each player is different. Also, there is a nonce, so basically if you use the same client and server seed, you will still get different results because the nonce increase with each bet.

Once you verify your bets (reveal the server seed) then the server seed is changed for you.

RTP is a very simple concept. The return expected to the player for each bet the player makes is called the RTP. A 95% RTP means on wagering 100 coins you shall get back 95 of them back. This doesn't mean you will always get back 95 though, because it depends on the volatility as well. So basically you might end up having 50 coins after wagering 100 while another user may get 150 so that evens out things.

I am a little surprised a legendary member is asking such simple questions. But I understand not everyone gambles or is aware of the provably fair mechanism.

You obviously have a very construed idea of what a Legendary members rank means and what the RTP is. A Legendary member only indicates that the member has been with the forum for a long time and it does not indicate that they should be an expert in all concepts (Crypto or non-Crypto)  Roll Eyes

Do your self a favor and read some of the more detailed explanations on what the RTP is for players.... in the posts above you, before you post nonsense like this in my thread to acquire +posts for your signature campaign.  Roll Eyes

3873  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can anyone explain these gambling questions? (Client Seed & RTP) on: August 24, 2021, 07:16:26 PM
When a Slot provider configure the RTP for a Slot to say 95%
RTP is specific for one game/title, thus affect all players playing in a particular game. Let's say Salty Bonanza has 95% RTP.

a player is supposed to get back 95% of their wagering.. right?
No, it's no fun if that's the case. A Salty Bonanza player can have 200% RTP or more in one playing session, depend on his luck. In slots world, we call it "live RTP."
The 95% is "theoretical RTP."

or is the RTP a pool of players that are playing that specific Slot? .....and the pool of 95% wagered are distributed to the players playing that Slot?
It's not the most accurate explanation, but you can say it like that.
The more valid explanation would be the machine (a particular game title) designed to give 95% back to the players if we assume infinite (or a very large number of) spins.
There's no actual pool since online slots are based on RNG, thus even if the title is just released, you can hit jackpot if the RNG God blesses you.

(or does the pool consist of all the money that are wagered at all the games that are offered by that specific Slot provider) ?
(1) Theoretical RTP is specific to one particular game, (2) There's no pool.
The more valid question would be if they use the same RNG server, for all games, for all traffic? If yes, then the provider "pooled" all players' result in one server.

So the RNG generates numbers to correspond to the symbols on the reel of the slot machine and that ..combined with the Slots RTP will determine if you win or not? (So in theory RNG + RTP + Client Seed + Server Seed = outcome) ?

That is a massive amount of calculations to be done in a split second, before each bet result are shown.  Roll Eyes

Who determines what the RTP will be for every Slot in a casino? Do the provider and the Casino negotiate this before they "rent" the use of the Slot .. or is the RTP fixed for every Slot when it is developed? (In short... can the Casino and Slot provider ...alter or re-configure the RTP for these Slots)?
3874  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin fans have developed into a political force. Is this the dawn of victory? on: August 24, 2021, 02:13:28 PM
I think you have a wrong idea on how Presidents gets into power.... but it is good if the public still believe that it is done through pure democratic votes. In any way, there are only 3+ million users on this forum from all over the world and many of them are Alt accounts and inactive accounts. https://prnt.sc/1qgy5k8

In the US there are about 328.2 million people and of those people ...approximately 240 million people were eligible to vote in the 2020 presidential election.... so we need about 237 million people to visit this forum and more than half of them to vote for our President.  Roll Eyes

Good luck with that...  Cheesy

3875  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: So, i bought a BTC atm (machine) on: August 24, 2021, 11:47:56 AM
I think my first concern will be if you can re-configure the receiving Bitcoin address on the machine? Can you restore to the factory defaults to remove and re-configuration whatever was on the machine before?

You do not want this machine to send all the coins received or funded by you, to go through a backdoor to some other recipient? (Also firmware)  Roll Eyes

We know some people hijack hardware wallet deliveries and they open the boxes to copy the seed words... and then they close the box again and use that seed on another wallet to take whatever is send to that wallet by the recipient.  Roll Eyes

3877  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Betflip.io on: August 24, 2021, 09:54:47 AM
Well, if you ask me.. then I will say they are a scam site. When you "verify" yourself with original documents at a casino... you provide them with documents that are not altered in any way.... so these people want you to provide them with translated documents that are not original?

Any legit site will have a team of people that will be able to translate original documents to their native language or they will get someone to do it for them.... they will not ask the gambler/client to do it for them. (If that was standard operating procedure, then I would have provided these casinos with false documentation and they would not even know about it)  Roll Eyes

Good luck... I think they are just looking for excuses not to pay you.  Angry
3878  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you think financial stability is mandatory to be a gainer in Bitcoin invest? on: August 23, 2021, 03:37:31 PM
The old saying goes.... "Money makes money....." and this is true for Crypto investments too, but there are ways for the small guy to profit too.

Fiat whales can dump a lot of money into Crypto when the price are dropping.. and then wait a few hours or days for it to recover and they make a sh1tload of profit if they time it correctly. (They do not need the money, so they can wait for the price to recover)

The small investor are always under pressure to sell early, because most of them live from hand to mouth. The secret to the success of any investment into Crypto currencies ===> Investing disposable capital over the long-term and waiting patiently for the right time to take profits. (I had to wait 3 years for the price to recover to $18 000 .... after I bought coins at $15 000 .... back in 2017.... then I sold at $35 000 and I made a huge profit)

Tip : Buy small amounts every week AFTER you paid your expenses.... and push those coins to Cold storage (Paper wallets) .... because it is more effort to sweep those coins when you want to use them.  Wink The more effort you have to put in to use the coins.. the less you will be tempted to do it.  Wink

I was thinking .....

How are the new rules on Twitch.tv going to influence the Online casino industry? Twitch will limit gambling promotion and referral links in people's streaming ===> https://www.ginx.tv/en/twitch/twitch-to-limit-gambling-promotion-and-referral-links

Will this also be like the "Crypto advertisement" ban on large Social media platforms? They aggressively blanket ban all "casino" advertisements and then later switch to a more fair system, where they screen the platforms and only allow "approved" gambling platforms?

They say this was done, because a lot of "scam" sites has been causing problems and their users has been losing money. Why not ask them to "screen" legit sites and only allow these sites to be used as advertisement on their platform?

What do you guys think... will this work?
3880  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Accepting bitcoin as payment for my business on: August 23, 2021, 03:12:38 PM
Yes, the transaction fees are a issue with a lot of retailers... but when they switch to "Lightning Network" wallets... the fees are not an issue anymore and the bonus is "near instant" confirmations. The problem is... not a lot of people are familiar with the Lightning Network yet, so the slow adoption make it a bit of a challenge.   Roll Eyes

What Exchange are most of your people in Nigeria using? The transfer within an Exchange is not as expensive as a payment to an external Bitcoin address from these Exchanges. (So if you keep the coin on the same exchange... then the transfer of the coins are a bit cheaper.. it is only expensive when you withdraw from the exchange)  Wink
