3861  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Go and get your coin!!!! on: July 07, 2022, 09:07:54 PM
More of a motivational post FYI. This is a call to action for all those who have been sitting by wasting time, including myself. There is a whole world out there to conquer! Bitcoin runs 24/7! There is no time to be wasted, no stone to leave unturned! When you do something do it with your whole being so that you are fulfilled with satisfaction and can see the success that is just beyond that next hurdle!
Each person's reality is different from each other, so we can't really compare ourselves, but it's an undeniable fact bitcoin is an opportunity for anyone to start earning and profiting, doesn't matter how much they have to invest and how skilled they are. Even a poor man without any pennies on his pocket can adopt bitcoin by doing micro online tasks to be rewarded with BTC and start holding his first satoshis, which will rise a lot in value futurely.

Indeed, there is no time to be wasted, and every satoshis count. It's during the bearish seasons the preparation is made, so you can harvest the fruits on the next bullish season. And it must be kept in mind the tallest buildings start with a single brick, which have to be solid and placed with constance and persistence, one by one, by the builder.
3862  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin reach 18600$ level in this week ends? on: July 07, 2022, 08:33:12 PM
Bitcoin has just done a pretty nice movement trying to break the 22,000$ resistance level today. If bitcoin is able to keep this trend we are going to see its best performance in one month time period. Bitcoin needs to keep stable for now in 21,000$ price range, until it can push ahead stronger, breaking the 22,000$ line with success towards 23,000$-24,000$. Once this happens, it's going to be a very motivational reaction in price for investors.

Although bitcoin hiting 18,600$ has its advantages, I don't think it's going to happen... Support is strong at 20,000$. That is just my guess, though. The market is unpredictable and can surprise us at anytime.
3863  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is right time for investment ? on: July 07, 2022, 07:41:36 PM
It's the right time to invest in solid cryptocurrencies and not random tokens like the one presented by OP (which actually looks more like a propaganda for that crypto than anything else).

Memecoins should be preferentially avoided, since you are serious about your crypto investments. Just go for it if you want to 'play' with low amounts of money that you won't bother losing, so you will be safe to make your experiments and test how unprofitable they can be. Furthermore, never take the words of influencers as a guarantee for your investments, doesn't matter how wealthy and influent they are. Keep in mind they do this only for their personal sake.
3864  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Careful With Your Slot Activity! on: July 07, 2022, 06:59:38 PM
Well, now the only alternative for him is to rebuild his patrimony and reputation from zero... That will take a long time and a lot of effort, but it's still possible. His family must be mad on him for the generated debt, but they will calm down within time and will be an important support for this man in order to help him recover himself from this negative experience with slots. From now on he must understand discipline and bankroll management are a must when gambling to prevent major losses which surpass the household's income and living standards. Besides being a lesson for him, it can be a lesson for his gamblers friends as well.
3865  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My Recent Experience at a Land-Based Casino on: July 07, 2022, 06:11:39 PM
If you were the casino manager would you fire the casino worker for interfering with your business or would you ban the gambler from visiting the casino?
Not for this kind of interference, since I think the worker is right for having empathy and care for the compulsive gambler, especially knowing he has newborn babies at home and a wife. Imagine how difficult it is for this wife to have a husband in such conditions and imagine how difficult it's going to be for these twins to have an addicted father wasting all the family's funds wagering, what will inevitably prejudice their development as kids, unless the man takes conscience of his acts and change his lifestyle for the better. In fact, that is responsible gambling policy adopted by the casino on practice.
3866  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🔻 List of Casinos and Sportbooks to Avoid on: July 06, 2022, 07:30:36 PM
Hi!
I think you can add another casino to the list as well here :
https://www.ltccasino.com/
I checked their ANN thread and the user who created the thread by itself has extremely negative ratings, at the same time they did talk about it being of the highest RTP which encouraged me to look at it but other people should approach the casino with the caution. The link to their thread is : http:// [url]https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5371356.0[url]
It's good to have a list like that so that other people can have an idea and it would be especially helpful for the newbies as well.
This casino is heavily negatively reviewed in different gambling websites. It's mainly said their support is poor or unreachable, games are rigged, gamblers have difficult withdrawing money, although deposits arrive fast without any issues. Their main attractive is the non KYC feature, which encourages many gamblers to test the platform, since it's hard to find non KYC operating casinos these days.

Unfortunately, the feature is just a bait to fish gamblers' funds in a shady way.
3867  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Looking for a crypto that won't depend on BTC anymore on: July 06, 2022, 04:10:29 AM
Crypto market doesn't exist without bitcoin. That include all cryptocurrencies, without exceptions. It happens because bitcoin is the most trusted and reputable crypto among all. When the market isn't confident regards bitcoin (price crashes), it will be the signal for them to become fearful about crypto investments as a whole, while when the market is bullish on bitcoin (price rises), altcoins in general will be also benefited by this movement.

Can you see the law of cause and effect in this situation? Bitcoin is always the cause and altcoins are the effect. And it will remain like this for a long time yet, until a new more advanced and unique technology is developed to replace bitcoin in every aspects, what can't happen through hype, that is the favorite leverage strategy of developers to boost their projects' importance and adoption, but without triumph on long run.
3868  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casino can play a role in changing fortune? on: July 06, 2022, 03:26:53 AM
Not sure if you narrated the whole story accurately or not. I mean he had "84 million US dollar" and started his business with that. He went almost bankrupt, but saved his company by investing those $27,000 USD he won from gambling? How can only $27,000 save someone from bankruptcy? Are you sure it wasn't something like $2.7 million USD?
Anyway, he was just lucky. Not everyone gets lucky. Most of them are "unlucky" and loses almost everything they gamble with!
Actually he didn't save his company with 27,000$ profit from blackjack, but it was enough to change his mood for the better (since he was depressed), so he could continue fighting for the recovery and success of his business, with a new perspective from that moment on:
Quote
"The $27,000 wasn't decisive, but it was an omen that things would get better," Smith said about the gamble, according to Entrepreneur.
How Fred Smith rescued FedEx from bankruptcy by playing blackjack in Las Vegas

Despite being considered a negative activity and a cause for depression, it's interesting how gambling can be also a tool to help despaired men who have lost their hopes to regain their confidence and morale to continue thriving. Of course it's not an isolated case, as many other gamblers have been in similar situations, that is, in profitable positions inside the game for a while. What makes the difference, though, is that some know when to stop, while others are never satisfied with the currently profit achieved.
3869  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can change of environment have an effect on gambling addiction. on: July 05, 2022, 08:54:47 AM
I think its definitely effective thing to change environment, surroundings (even furniture) and people around you. I know that in past, psychologists would offer people to go embrace nature for a while to relax and end their stress. If you wanna quit gambling it can be awesome to go walk around flowers, trees, sunshine etc. You will not have internet if you don't use phone so, even better.
To avoid internet access is a must when trying to recover from gambling addiction, because even if people around him aren't gamblers and the environment doesn't offer any casinos, slot-machines at pubs or cards games, it's still possible to wager online. The environment is important and makes difference in someone's life, but attention and care for the addicted one are still required, considering there are high chances he is going to find gaps on his new reality to go back to the old one in order to maintain the addiction, and consequently all the excitement or adrenaline it brings to him.
3870  Economy / Speculation / Re: How do we spot the crypto bottom? on: July 05, 2022, 07:26:11 AM
The bottom is a temporary state which doesn't last too long, because it is suddenly surprised by a bullish tendency, mainly motivated by news (the media) reporting an important event happening in the world which will consequently impact finances, or by whales lead by those news or simply because they decided it's time to pump bitcoin again. Even the big players don't know where the bottom is, until they decide it's going to be now!

For everyone else, it's advised to take advantage of the crashes in crypto prices to acquire more coins and forget the perfect bottom, because chances are against you, and it's very unlikely you will accomplish entering the market on time, if trying to predict the dip.
3871  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin made you a millionaire? on: July 05, 2022, 06:46:41 AM
Different cryptocurrencies have made investors millionaires during bull seasons, but the main one must be bitcoin, since it's the original crypto among all, which gave origin to crypto market and every altcoins. Stories of success involving bitcoin adopters are common and there are even people who wrote books to share their experience and inspire others to thrive in financial world. However, we must be careful with such stories and always look for evidence they are legit, as there are many scammers trying to lure people into altcoin investments promising returns they can't guarantee and telling facts about their personal success that aren't true.
3872  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will you be in favor of Gold or Bitcoin !! on: July 05, 2022, 06:24:13 AM
I like both. Gold has its physical uses and bitcoin is much more secure and easy to verify. You don't need a bag to carry bitcoin around and you don't need scales to be able to verify its real value.
On the other hand, you won't make pretty jewelry out of bitcoin and you won't get a good electrical connection with it. Gold lovers will have their points and bitcoin lovers will have theirs. To each their own.
I agree with you. I think we don't need to disqualify one to uprise another. Both are very useful and reputable assets, although they can't be compared, because they have very different natures, concepts, usages and characteristics which have been heavily discussed on this forum along the years. On the other hand, they are very similar in few aspects: both are rare, valuable and will remain like this for a long time yet, so smart are the investors and enthusiasts who go for gold and bitcoin enjoying all their benefits and features. In bitcoin's case it's more about the convenience ir proportionates, while gold offers aesthetics, prettiness and charm.
3873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which alt-coin do you trust the most? on: July 04, 2022, 11:33:30 PM
As the majority of investors and enthusiasts, I also think ethereum is the most reputable altcoin without any doubts. History speaks for itself.

But I confess I tend to fall in love for altcoins which offer bonus, benefits and features, especially when integrated to platforms dealing with bitcoin, what means your bitcoin holdings are affected positively when investing in the native token of the site. I can't say I trust them like I trust eth, though. Maybe in some years, if they prove to be solid and sustainable, just like ethereum did since 2015, I can see them with a fresh pair of eyes.

For now there are only expectations. Smiley
3874  Economy / Economics / Re: Unemplyment at least 50% how world will look like then ? on: July 04, 2022, 11:17:41 PM
I think portugal and spain have both endured youth unemployment statistics near to 50% for their age bracket of 19 to 24. It would seem parts of europe have already achieved 50% unemployment for some segments of the population. Wages rather than unemployment determine prices. It all depends on what consumers can afford to pay.

In africa where the average wage can be as low as $30 per month, prices are low. In other nations with higher average wages, prices will be higher.

Unemployment doesn't have much affect on prices. And cities are generally becoming less friendly and hospitable towards unemployed and homeless populations as time passes.
If you come to south asia - you will see 50% people living below the poverty lines.
Some countries have made a good progress while the other corrupt government and bureaucracy has not let the country progress.
Probably because these are still agricultural countries, without access to technology which could help them produce more and manufacture the raw goods (profiting more) with less effort, added to high rates of illiteracy.
About governors it's hard to say. Some countries are/were under monarchical regimes so far, while others are democratic ones, what means citizens choose their leaders. Consequently, if authorities are corrupt and make things more difficult for individuals through bureaucracy it's fault of the own people who are suffering in precarious living conditions.
3875  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are we gradually approaching towards the end of Bitcoin? on: July 04, 2022, 11:05:19 PM
There aren't signals we are gradually approaching to the end of bitcoin. We are just living a bearish market and that is all. Bitcoin is still being used, adopted and endorsed by lots of investors and businesses. Some people are buying their first coins, while others are growing their holdings and others are launching their crypto related businesses. The market has slowed down, but hasn't stopped.
I believe if bitcoin was going to die, adoption and price would be in much lower levels. Moreover the number of crypto companies going bankrupt would also be higher, instead of some isolated cases we are seeing for real.
3876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is for big bag holders on: July 04, 2022, 10:52:11 PM
Oh, that is painful. Sometimes Martingale looks great and gives confidence to the gambler, but in other times it looks a nightmare! Sadly i lost my signature weekly earnings as well last week on diamonds' game and dice right after, in an attempt to recover what I lost previously, also applying Martingale. The worst moment was to lose 3x in a roll with more or less 64% winning chance and then my balance was practically entirely gone.

It seems too much confidence is also a big issue for gamblers...

That can be devastating to believe that you are going to get back your losses.I also have lost several times my complete weekly signature earnings and we know because we are in the same signature that the payout here is one of the best, most of the time surpassing that 100 USD mark.I have done so because I believed deep down in me that the slot machine will give the bonus round so I kept increasing the bet, somewhat of a Martingale system but of course not the same as in dice or roulette and I ended up losing everything.Luckily from quite some weeks now I am able to have great self control and either lose only 10-20 dollars and quit or if I have luck withdraw a good amount surplus to the signature earnings.
I haven't had much luck with slots recently, so I gave up on them and migrated to the original Stake games and was doing well until it happened what i related on the previous post. Slots can be treacherous sometimes and drain our money really fast, even though we place small bets. But you are right, we need to set limits to our gambling session based on our bankroll size.

About the losses, i'm still confident about recovering that, because it was relatively a small amount of money, considering how much some gamblers play in a daily basis. With a decent bankroll size I believe it will be possible to turn the tables and achieve at least a 'tie' or a small profit advantage against the house. I think things start getting difficult when the gambler has from five digits losses on.

3878  Economy / Economics / Re: Unemplyment at least 50% how world will look like then ? on: July 04, 2022, 12:21:33 AM
High official unemployment rates mean strengthening of informal economy in the country. I can't say about US, but in my country people work informally, because that is the gap found on the legislature for employers to have less expenses and commitments with employees and for small businessmen/autonomous workers to maximize their profits, since they don't pay extra taxes to the government they would have to, in case of registering a business legaly. There are pros and cons on this kind of economical concept, but one thing is for sure: we can't say 50% of the population is really unemployed just because official statistics are stating that.
3879  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Most Expensive Thing Bought with Winnings from the Casino or Sport Bet on: July 03, 2022, 08:28:43 PM
In my case nothing special. I've already gambled to help my family to pay monthly bills and thank God I achieved success on that.

In other situations, I've ordered some pizza or restaurant food and bought virtual games. But usually what I most like doing with gambling profit is to save it and invest to keep growing crypto holdings.

Twitter wants to promote NFT but refuse to just simply convey a normal URL is nonsense and censorship with bias.   Cant have a platform for communication if they biased without good reason.
Unknown risks in the world are far greater danger and avenue to harm for most people.   Driving a car is worse risk then flying in a plane, peoples perceptions are off

It ain’t what you don’t know that gets you into trouble. It’s what you know for sure that just ain’t so. “ – Mark Twain
I believe it's ok to disable referral links on tweets to decrease spam, repetitive posts and keep the platform and crypto hashtags cleaner (just like bitcointalk forum does), but it's absurd they consider freebitco.in link a malware, false advertising and forbids users from posting their referral links on profile description, while allowing crypto scams and ponzi schemes to advertise there without any issues (and through heavy spam tactics).

Did you encounter that in the web version? If so, their android application does not have or display such a message. After I tweet a direct referral link, it just notifies 'failed to send tweet' and when I put it on the website (edit profile), it prompts 'profile update failed'.

Pastepeso.com is what I use, it will let you create and publish plain text containing links.  It works and is not detected by Twitter as Freebitco.in referral link.
Yes, encountered that in web desktop version. Ah, got it.

Thank you for your suggestion. I'm going to check pastepeso.com!
