3861  Economy / Economics / Re: transition FIAT to DIGITAL? on: March 12, 2018, 01:40:01 PM
Hopefully we don't faced this kind of problem in the future. I mean transitioning to what we are not prepared to adapt too will do more harm than good. We are now living in the world where we are not forced to using only one payment solution, by having a full transition to certain digital currency it will only hinder people are not in favor of using it, I mean people who are not inclined to using gadgets and devices particularly the elderly, we don't expect them to be using their mobile phones (If they have one) in paying something.
3862  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: KYC requirement from ICOs will open up a whole news area of scam on: March 12, 2018, 11:36:02 AM
Experienced it in the past, before they say that immediately after the TGE happens everyone who bought in their ICO will receive their tokens. But after the TGE happens they announced in their website as well as their Telegram group that they will instead manually distribute their tokens which they are now requiring KYC, this is a really big catch in which they have not announced it earlier. Basically what happens is they are trapping you with only one choice as if you don't give your information and necessary requirements they are talking about you wouldn't receive your tokens you have bought from them.
3863  Economy / Economics / Re: Facebook bans ads for cryptocurrencies on: March 12, 2018, 09:30:11 AM
Based on my understanding they are previously taking back or loosening up there ban about cryptpcurrencies as obviously it is affecting their revenue. Blocking all kinds of crypto related ads is like shutting down an entire revenue from that industry. Even Google didn't pursue their plan on banning crypto ads. But what Google did is screen all of their ads to avoid showing off illegitimate cryptocurrencies that have a high  chance of turning out into scams.
3864  Economy / Speculation / Re: When You Think Market Boom Again? on: March 12, 2018, 07:39:02 AM
When there is continuous positive press about bitcoin and other altcoins (cryptocurrencies). Right now the market is very shaky and responding to negative press, government bans, sanctions, KYC/AML implementations etc. So people are cashing out, making the prices drop. I think also when the Telegram ICO luanches we would see some boom, and stabilization. If the news is correct Russia is now going to implement policies for cryptocurrencies, and Telegram is owned by a Russian company.
But will there ever be a positive press about Bitcoin? So far legit mass media are acting like critics of Bitcoin rather than new informers. So far or we ever see are press coverage about interviews of financial figures saying bad things about Bitcoin and they are agreeing about it, even before the Bitcoin boom from 1,000-20,000$ you will only hear bad things and warnings about Bitcoin being risky. So far they are not doing good in being neutral about the news they want to provide for us viewers.
3865  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is There Any Cyclicality in BTC Prices on: March 11, 2018, 07:04:57 PM
You are right it is hard to put on an exact movement for Bitcoin in any date. Simply saying that March 2017 is a bullish month therefore March 2018 should be a bullish month for 2018 which we shouldn't believe as this is not even part of technical analysis. Simply putting an increase in maket participation every month will have a great effect on its price movement which will not follow a simple cycle to what others are claiming.
3866  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 11, 2018, 01:26:30 PM
The utility side of Bitcoin sucks! Angry

I just paid less than 10 cents for a Bitcoin transaction, and I didn't even use SegWit.
That really sucks man. Gone are the days where I need to pay 20-30$ transaction fees for sending 10$ to my gambling site account. But jokes aside I am really happy seeing this kinds of network fees again, more reason for establishments who pulled out earlier to come back and accept Bitcoin again. This can be another good call for other businesses to accept Bitcoin for the first time.
3867  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-10] Venezuelan President Claims Petro Pre-Sale Raked in $5 Billion on: March 11, 2018, 08:56:05 AM
With that  kind of opposition the Venezuelan President is facing both foreign and local authorities I don't think it is safe to buy this PETRO coins. Even though a lot of people attempted to buy it at its pre-sale I don't want to get my money involve in such thing as being de-listed is a top possibility. If this project is proven unconstitutional the Token would be shut down in no time. But for people who are interested in a high risk high reward type of token this should be their game as the speculation surrounding this altcoin is big.
3868  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Are You Afraid of KYC? on: March 11, 2018, 07:07:54 AM
KYCs are not the problem here. The problem I see is where you are entrusting your information to.  Because their are certain ICOs that will only fish out your information as it has more value for them rather than the token they are creating. KYCs are a requirement of some countries' government as it is their way of regulating or being in touch with their citizens. What I would normally do before trusting my personal information to other entities such as ICOs or even exchanges I will research on them if they have a good background.
3869  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin VS bank on: March 10, 2018, 10:44:26 AM
For more than a century, the banking system was used to fund state, endanger the stability of the economic activity, robbing private savings, eliminate one road, promote the financing dependence, even make violent reached an unprecedented scale, all because we do not have different techniques to implement monetary exchange. Now the monopoly is being broken. Bitcoin was born. The fear of the ruling class is only just beginning.

Do you think bitcoin will replace Banks in the future?
Maybe not because Bitcoin itself cannot finance anyone not unless you are earning from it. Bitcoin is not a ban, it is just a mere currency where you can also earn it from trading. And by just being a currency it could either help the person or make them poorer based on how they trade it in the market. Banks cannot be simply replace by Bitcoin in terms of financing people but if you look at Bitcoin as a mode of saving your money outside of a bank, it will definitely can and at a higher growth rate compared to what banks are currently offering.
3870  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-10] Crypto ‘Bubble’ Won’t Burst Without Bringing In Big Momey on: March 10, 2018, 09:00:55 AM
Even if they deny it publicly we really don't know if there money is not involve in the cryptocurrency market in their own private lives. Looking at how they don't want to taint their images regarding their work on a financial institution, they can buy and sell cryptocurrencies without the public knowing. And what they earn from that market can be doctored from one of their own personal businesses. It is easy as it gets. By this time we mus now know that not all whales come from being self-made millionaires, some of them are already rich which they have entered late but has the capital to become a whale.
3871  Economy / Speculation / Re: I believe the dumps are over on: March 10, 2018, 07:29:46 AM
I don't think that the Bitcoin billionaires are mad on the Mt. Gox trustee as even if it is the reason why they are going down they might as well contributed to Bitcoin going down this hard, what I mean about that is when Bitcoin is going down with a serious FUD chances are Bitcoin whales also started selling their Bitcoin in order to avoid losses as well as to buy Bitcoin at a cheaper price. Whales are there for a reason and one of those reason is not to let their money be trap on sitting.
3872  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2018-03-08] Japanese Regulators Suspend Two Crypto Exchanges on: March 08, 2018, 03:27:58 PM
With the major heist that happened to their exchanges this is an expected move by the Japanese government. About two or three days ago the Japanese government has voiced out its concern about the security and creating a self regulatory board in order for them to avoid another heist. Suspending these exchanged will give them a lesson as they need to value also their customer's money. But I don't think a suspension is enough for them to learn, what they need is to have an increase in penalty where the last penalty would be a forfeiture of their license.
3873  Other / Meta / Re: Educational Ban: grant TMan and Jet Cash temporary ban powers on: March 08, 2018, 01:00:20 PM
Just to clarify based on your examples you are only banning people who are either begging for merits or people who don't like the new merit system? If so I don't think it is a good idea as issuing a ban for merit begging is too much. I think we should not implement this thing as they are already not receiving the merits they want for begging. Also the sMerits being shared is monitored by our active members.
3874  Economy / Economics / Re: let us promote BITCOIN on: March 08, 2018, 06:53:50 AM
Posting a pro-Bitcoin thread inside a Bitcoin related Forum doesn't seem to be an effective way of promoting Bitcoin. We are inside a Bitcoin forum and everybody is expected or at least understand what Bitcoin is, or they are here to learn how to use Bitcoin. If you want to promote Bitcoin effectively you must be sharing your knowledge with your friends so that they themselves can use or try to earn with Bitcoin. Showing positive feedback in a thread here won't increase Bitcoin users or even push the price up.
3875  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will never reach 20,000 again on: March 08, 2018, 05:02:22 AM
Do you have any evidence supporting your claim? 5-10% gain is not bad but I don't think a whale will be satisfied with just about that. I mean look at the price rally last year from 1,000$ to 20,000$ it simply tells us how whales have the ability to move the market in a short period of time. The decrease you are seeing now is how they buy and accumulate more Bitcoin at a cheaper price. Even us small players benefit from it. 20,000$ now looks like a big number but if we break pass it, it will just be another number that Bitcoin has achieve reaching.
3876  Other / Meta / Re: I'm not sure about the forum rules, but it really hurts. He need to take back!!! on: March 08, 2018, 03:13:15 AM
As a part of the minority I am also affected by some racial slurs or some derogatory words that insult members here living in a third world/developing country. We are in the center of insult as we Filipinos are often connected to being spammers and shit posters. But we cannot do anything about it as it is not prohibited for other members to say bad things about another group of people. The best thing we can do is to prove them wrong by improving our grammar and post quality, it may take some time to get the respect we want but it is the only way.
3877  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 07, 2018, 05:03:14 PM
Had a feeling that this would happen as it had rejected 11,600$ thrice during the recent price rally that is why I sold my Bitcoin into Fiat and is now waiting for this storm to calm down. But we should be calm in this situations as nothing comes good when we start panicking. The good thing is I am still holding Fiat and is waiting for it to recover before I start buying Bitcoin again.
3878  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: "Cash will never dissapear, not even the Bitcoin freaks believe that" Mark Cuban on: March 07, 2018, 03:34:26 PM
I don't think any establishment will ever implement this idea because of one thing and that is Transaction Fees. Any customer who will opt out to Bitcoin as a change will instantly make that business establishment incur additional expense just by sending that Bitcoin to their customer. The price of the transaction is irrelevant as I don't think businesses will like the idea of additional cost just by giving change. Not unless that customer is willing to receive a decreased change equal to the current transaction fee I don't see this happening.
3879  Economy / Speculation / Re: Price Bitcoin in 10 years: $ 100 or $ 100.000 on: March 07, 2018, 02:33:32 PM
Another one of those persons who have a stature in life acting smart on Bitcoin. Even though he is a Harvard professor it does not mean all what he is saying will be 100$ true. Bitcoin is still growing and the acceptance of Bitcoin can become more prevalent in the future. And his argument about Bitcoin being used more for money laundering and tax evasion is not Bitcoin's fault but it is the fault of many bad individuals. Even before the creation of Bitcoin can be said the same thing to Fiat as it can be used for money laundering as well as tax evasion.
3880  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The most updated Google trend of Bitcoin on: March 07, 2018, 07:31:03 AM
The peak last Christmas season maybe related to its dramatic price increase as it has gone to 20,000$ normally with that kind of price increase a lot of people has gotten attention to Bitcoin that is why it peaked during December. But now it is currently on a downtrend which means a few people are now interested in Bitcoin, which I think is wrong as majority of the people are in the wrong side of investing, they must see this as an opportunity rather than thinking Bitcoin's price action is now over.
