3861  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoiners' Novel Approach to Find Cure for COVID-19: Biohacking on: March 13, 2020, 10:47:31 AM
Depends on the reasons for the pharmaceuticals & FDA processes, and how effective/good and safe they are. I think you could actually do things much better, quicker, safer and possiblee with good results if the process(which I assume are good/safe) are replicated on a self-regulated, truely decentralized networks.  In my opinion, it's quite risky for this to be done without rules and in secrecy. Would they take the risk if there is guaranteed consequences for careless mistakes?
They should be really transparent, open to the public when necessary, involve proven professionals for guidance and regulate themselves (self-regulation I guess). I am very OK with the anonymity as long as they can be held accountable for careless mistakes
3862  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the position of the gambler in the market? on: March 13, 2020, 08:38:55 AM
Didn't get that correctly... You mean gambling on property or gambling with your properties?
Well, there are basically two forms of gambling, the skill-based and probability/luck-based gambling. If you are skillful in a particular game, you could check if there exist platforms you can bet on your skills and games.  Luck-based gamblings are for those who just want to try their luck to win a prize. Not recommended to spend alot of your time and money on luck-based gambling, or spend alot of time on games that don't earn you consistent profits.
I think OP can earn consistently in luck based games through promotions some sites launches promotions every week but the rewards are small since their prizes usually depends on the participants. Or if he's willing to go big he could take the risk on wager competitions.

Sports betting is an example of a skill based game where experience and research helps in the long run while games like Roulette etc are all about dumb luck.
Sports betting might be a little difficult now that several sports have been getting postponed and cancelled because of the virus. Poker is another example if OP is still looking for another skill based game.

Interesting. I guess the promotion is in form of giveaway or something. Or is like they are getting people paid for promoting their sites? By the way, I have read some say they win consistently in probability based gambling with martingale strategy, I guess that is not really true... maybe they are just lucky?
3863  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Coronavirus and it’s impact on sporting events - please add on: March 13, 2020, 07:55:20 AM
There are so many events that has been cancelled because of this virus,
But it was for the best because it is for the safety of everyone they should prioritize the health of everyone since those event could always continue once the virus is cured,
But the life of those who would be lost because of the virus could never come back.

Exactly. People shouldn't worry about the canceling, it's definitely for everyone's good. If this affect your favorite players, it will probably affect the club chance of competiting well. Hopefully the players/clubs and their huge fans don't get involved in other things that encourage the spread of the virus.

Lest I forget:
Buy sufficient foods, eat healthy, drink lots safe drinking water, avoid "bad things", change your bad ways(repent). If you believe in a true CREATOR, pray, humble yourself, and ask him for forgiveness, & to guide you to know the truth/the way, I strongly believe HE will guide you if you trust HIM. Don't allow fear ruin your life, though be cautious about harmful things.... You will be kept safe no matter how dangerous your surroundings is
3864  Other / Off-topic / Re: Your opinion on ASMR? on: March 13, 2020, 06:50:15 AM
Things like this should be properly researched before using them. The side effects could range from addiction, personality change, possession(if you know what I mean), etc
I usually listen to sounds that are totally harmless, and gentle... especially those that praises our CREATOR.
I remember falling into trance while watching a movie, and I saw something I wouldn't want to post here... I have been suspicious of worldly songs/movie since them. Though believe there are some that are safe for human consumption, most likely those produced by truely good people
3865  Economy / Economics / Re: GokuMarket – One Marketplace For The Blockchain Economy on: March 13, 2020, 06:18:09 AM
Is it truly decentralized or just a marketing name? Not a good thing to sell things as decentralized but users/buyers end up with centralized stuff. Promotors or developers should be totally sincere about the nature of things they promote, so people don't get deceived into buying things that are not what they want.
No one is stopping developers from building  centralized things in Crypto world,  they should however not promote them as what they are not.
To avoid mixing things up, we should probably have a different market/space for centralized, semi-decentralized and properly decentralized things. That will help alot. And will see which will survive in total choas
3866  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In times of turmoil, is Bitcoin really a safe-haven asset? on: March 13, 2020, 05:53:23 AM
I think we all should be responsible for making Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies safe haven.
If everything dies down today, I bet people will go back to their old ways. When the old way results to crashes , people will complain again, and it happens over and over again.
I wish people could stop being greedy/selfish and start doing things properly. The Right thing should be done absolutely! Decentralization, Transparency, immutablity, censorship resistant permissionless/trustless transactions, etc. We must try as much as possible to avoid things that will lead to problems in the future. Safe haven should be made of things that can survive worst disasters... I would seriously recommend things like foods(not "centralized food"), smale/medium scale farming implements, decentralized internet, first aid box, survival information, torch, more of natural things, mobile homes, mobile hospitals, mobile industries, inverters, etc. Crypto communities should produce and trade these things, even on decentralized exchanges. They should be continously traded like we normally trade cryptocoins. When disasters hit, lots of people in centralized world will have no option than to join our world and that will be good for price. I will definitely buy alots of cryptocoins that are specifically designed for such assets. And it would be fun to diversify into multiple assets
3867  Other / Off-topic / Re: We've all done it, so let's do it here as well, let's share funny YouTube videos on: March 12, 2020, 03:33:13 PM
Funny animals video are probably the most fun things I watch and re-watch without getting tired. I like how cats jump off cabinets when scared or how dogs run with tails between their legs when frightened or humbled.

I used to like human comedy videos alot but I don't find them funny thesedays probably due to the insensitive jokes.

Animals like dogs & cats just look too innocent and can be very funny.

3868  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IPX: VPN to the moon? on: March 12, 2020, 03:04:57 PM
Is that a decentralized VPN or it's just a centralized one with native cryptocoin?
Is this the project: https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/tachyon-protocol/
It's described as decentralized internet protocol on coinmarketcap, co-launched by V Systems and X-VPN... I guess that is why you called it a VPN, right?
3869  Other / Off-topic / Re: What methods are the most effective at the moment? on: March 12, 2020, 10:47:36 AM
I think the most basic electricity generators would do.
To be honest, it is important to learn how to build the generators just incase something happens to backup generators. Information and knowledge on how to build these things would be very valuable. I would download alot of easy-to-understand materials on how to build them and generate electricity. Blockchain/decentralized networks would also be useful in this regard... because typical internet could become too regulated/restrictive in the future.
3870  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How to play dice: Strategy with BTC on: March 12, 2020, 09:49:57 AM
Is it even possible to learn to play the typical "roll and win" dice 🎲, or is this about learning how it is rolled?
Your particular method under "How to play Bitcoin dice" is an interesting one. I guess that will be much easier to win especially on dice sites that use the provable fair.

P.s. please do let me know what strategy do you use to play bitcoin dice games? I don't believe to luck in gambling games, but I do in strategy, it can make you earn.

Would like to know if you win consistently with the Martingale strategy you described below "Bitcoin Dice Tips & Examples"
3871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Physically vs Gambling Online Using Crypto on: March 12, 2020, 09:05:41 AM

It's my own little way of supporting cryptocurrency specially bitcoin.

Exactly. Hopefully it becomes possible for more people to profit/benefit consistently from bettings(good/harmless ones), whether financially or educationally, so that we have a better form of gambling in Crypto space (especially the decentralized space), and don't make the experience wasteful for people.

3873  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: More Damages to Crypto Market on: March 12, 2020, 07:53:32 AM
Well, Bitcoin/cryptocurrencies was meant to help us avoid such problems, especially financial crashes, but they seem to be somewhat dependent on things that can be badly affected during crashes or global disasters. It's high time we started "unlinking" Crypto from things that will be potentially problematic for it, and also make it more resilient.
3874  Economy / Economics / Re: Does The Impact Of Corona Virus Will Disrupt The Crypto Industry? on: March 12, 2020, 07:13:54 AM
The impact won't be that much if we depend less on the centralized world, or better still, if we are very decentralized with flourishing interdependent/independent ecosystem & businesses.
A very decentralized crypto would work great (when most centralized businesses are closed or destroyed) in a much worse situation... let say in a war-like situation.
3875  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A question about AML KYC on: March 12, 2020, 06:38:24 AM
Why use the current kyc model in a space that is full of people who privacy/anonymity conscious? Those who believe in the current kyc should probably get their customers from people who are OK with it. The customers will most likely be made mostly of people who are somewhat desperate, don't know why they are here nor understand what Cryptocurrency is about.

or simply register with any email, but knowing that you might be one of the 0.1% and might be asked to confirm your identity (as it is now with Changelly)?

This ^ is interesting
I wonder how they determine who should do the kyc. Who knows the amount of data at their disposal. I will be a bit careful with this.

I honestly prefer a Crypto-friendly kyc model. No one should see or have access to my sensitive information. This is to avoid misuse and it getting hacked. I think the community should probably decide on what model is safe for them if using kyc becomes necessary
3876  Economy / Economics / Re: You will be able, slowly, to pay one bitcoin for 25000 pizza. Any other opinion? on: March 11, 2020, 03:01:56 PM
I wonder how long pizza last.
People could start hoarding pizzas and they rot away without good preservation. And hoarding could cause the price of pizza to go up.
Things like this would work well with foods that are healthy and abundant in supply. Food that anyone could easily produce. Producer would just safely dehydrate/dry them without losing the nutrients, make them a little more attractive or tasty, then store somewhere safe and gradually begin to sell the excess. The foods should be able to last very long.
3877  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Terminator of Centralized Exchange Disadvantages-Free Trading Market VDS on: March 11, 2020, 01:54:41 PM
You provided no link to the exchange. I would taken some time to go through the site to see  if it's really worth using. Searched for VDS or VDS exchange via Google, didn't get a straightforward answer. So, a direct link to the exchange or its other sites would help.
3878  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What are the terms you decide on which casino to play? on: March 11, 2020, 09:41:57 AM
Reliable reputation/review is fairly ok for me. And the decentralized, non-custodial ones, plus good reputation could make a casino even more safer. It also need to be provable fair, anonymous and probably crypto-based for me to consider playing. I could still use the non-crypto based ones if they can offer the above features.
3879  Economy / Gambling / Re: SurvivalBet: casino with surviving game.🎲 Can be played without deposit 💰 on: March 11, 2020, 08:51:55 AM
Interesting.
Players don't play with their funds at all, or what exactly? Or they start with little amount couple with the free bets?
What coin are the rewards paid in? Bitcoin, stellar coin (I don't remember the exact name of stellar blockchain coin) or casino's native coin? More info needed here.
By the way, I wonder how effective stellar provable fair is.

We have choose 3 cheap coins XLM, DOGE, SIN, they all have low tx fee so we can set low minimal withdrawal. SIN coin is not well know, they are promoting us so we added.  In some weeks will be added internal exchange between coins (not p2p just direct exchange) so if you dont like SIN you can exchange and withdraw in another coin.

Players can use their funds if they want, this way they have more chances, but anyway the number of bets they can buy is limited.
An user have 5 bets per day + can get 5 in chat rain + can buy 5 bets per day (aprox 17 DOGE each bet). So adding your funds increase your chances but not that much.
Also there is training section, you need make bets against other players to train your skill. Once again deposit is not necesary, you can bet using your daily winnings, it's easy to survive 3 days and get first reward.

Well, I didnt think someone will say Stellar blockchain can't be used for provably-fair engine, the only thing you can think if SurvivalBet is related to validators of stellar nodes,  but their validators are strong well-known companies as lobstr and keybase, the decentralization of Stellar is way lesser than of BTC but anyway it is decentralized so no one can fake ledgers

Interesting answer. Meaning if the validators of stellar nodes create a casino with stellar Blockchain-based provable fair, the validators can abuse or take advantage of the provable fair?
Well, you should probably use more secured provable if you believe Bitcoin is more decentralized stellar... why not?  Better decentralization is definitely good for security.

3880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Physically vs Gambling Online Using Crypto on: March 11, 2020, 08:08:27 AM
You mean provable fair at number 3? guess that is just a typo.
Regarding your question on choice, I think it probably depends on individual's choices... there are people who will prefer the physical ones while other like myself would use the crypto-based online ones or both. The physical and crypto based ones are usually anonymous. So, if I ever want to bet, I will go for either crypto or just use physical, when things have calm down.
