3881  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Think twice before pressing send. on: December 20, 2020, 07:44:36 PM
I am not sure how people make such kind of mistakes, whenever I try to make transaction worth of any amount will follow some process.

First one is checking the destination address manually after pasting them on the sender address so I can avoid sending my Bitcoins to wrong address.

Then fee is another important aspect I lookout for, the best and cheapest I will choose after analyzing the Mempool it hardly take a minute or two find the right one which followed by enabling RBF function.

People who follows the same thing as me can avoid their life savings. Smiley
3882  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The biggest 10 countries that gamble the most. on: December 20, 2020, 06:37:03 PM
I sometimes wonder how many Americans are gambling now. Typically people gamble online with much higher amounts because you have faster access to large sums of money.
There are many restrictions for Americans, but looking purely at casinos that are physically located, I think there is a lot of gambling going on here. Or maybe somewhere in Asia.
I did not know so many people players from Australia.

I just googled the top gambling countries around the world and i see India on top. Maybe Asia will become a new hub for gambling very soon.

Still its one year old results from some articles which actually can't be taken as reference for anything unless they provided valid source from where they took data and made their analysis. Maybe India got more online gamblers but in terms of wagering amount still other country will be top in the list.
3883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I introduced cryptocurrency to my friends by using DOGECOIN on: December 20, 2020, 06:00:15 PM
Good effort to help the crypto adoption gets increased but when we introduce people to the cryptocurrency we should approach them as currency rather than an investment digital assets because once you get attracted with the money you are making from those coin then they also will start investing on cryptocurrency but both people have different knowledge level in crypto space so it is not possible to make same amount of profit even they may lose their capital in the volatility or for scammers.
3884  Economy / Economics / Re: Tether's market cap is huge! (usdt) on: December 20, 2020, 04:50:32 PM
Essentially, tether is quasi-dollars.  Tether (USDT) capitalization is very large.  It depends on the price of bitcoins - the higher the price of bitcoins, the greater the capitalization of Tether.

It surprises me that US regulators are not banning this cryptocurrency asset.  Regulators usually struggle with the proliferation of surrogate means of payment.  For over 3 years (since 2017), tether has been very popular in the crypto industry.

I read analytical articles that in 2018 the Chinese actively used the USDT cryptocurrency for cross-border payments (export, import).

Tether is a stablecoin.  Unregulated stablecoins (in theory) should be the subject of close regulatory scrutiny.  However, tether continues to function and is not banned.  I cannot explain this fact.
Their lawsuits are still in pending status but still people doesn't care about those things, all they concentrate on price of bitcoin and they convert their profits into USDT mostly because it is available on most of the exchanges compared to other stable coins which are actually better than tether. Sudden explosion of tether will affect the price of bitcoin extremely for sure so crypto users should move their funds store in stable coin has to convert them to completely decentralized coins.
3885  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What is the best wallet for cryptocurrency, hardware or software and why? on: December 20, 2020, 03:10:26 PM
Cost of a hardware wallet is not too huge, because its actually under 100 dollars for now maybe in future it will get cheaper due to mass production. If you still looking for a software wallet which is open source then lot of choice available as well.

If you are having lot of altcoins then consider buying a hardware wallet which also can be connected with meta mask for easy access to your funds.
3886  Economy / Economics / Re: Loans are cheap good time to use loans for Investment in btc on: December 20, 2020, 02:18:52 PM
Save money and start investing that is the basic rule for successful investor but there are lot of people who take loan amd get succeed as well because they actually know how to make money and also tackling the risk factors involved. Every investment is risky though but nit every investment holds same amount of risk so choose things wisely before taking a decision.

Taking out a loan to make investment doesn't sound like a clever idea for me. First of all, you will never get a loan which is interest-free. You will be forced to pay interest, at a rate higher than what you get from bank deposits. So even before starting your investment, you are down by a few points. On top of this, there is no guarantee that your investment will return good profits. So now the risk has doubled.
Yeah, that is why you shouldn't take loan to invest on highly volatile assets like cryptocurrency even for stocks. Taking loan for a business idea is better which also need to be done only when you are running a successful business but still want to expand it for that you need more capital.
3887  Economy / Economics / Re: Loans are cheap good time to use loans for Investment in btc on: December 20, 2020, 01:04:30 PM
But they have the capability to survive even if they defaulted their loan but it is not the case with the loans we are taking. We are giving some kind of collateral while taking loans so if we default it then banks will auction our property and take their money but at the end we will be on the streets.
it is a risk that will occur when we cannot pay the loan. Securities such as land certificates and vehicle certificates will be held by the bank. The bank will also provide a maturity date when it must be repaid.
So don't make a loan just for an investment that you don't understand or just want to try it. It is better to use it for other things such as for business capital and the like, where it is clear how much you earn.

3888  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: High transaction Fees in blockchain on: December 19, 2020, 08:44:57 PM
You have to take the calculated risks because AFAIK, it won't account for the factors like the avg time between the blocks and history of the fees market. I don't recommend people using mempool unless they know exactly what they're doing and/or they're prepared to wait slightly longer for their transaction to be confirmed.
I am also used Mempool option very few times, I just go with static once I find what is the required fee from mempool analyzing sites with something near to the actual required fee.But newbies have to be careful when using the mempool especially when the network is congested with more blocks.

Every billionaire have used the debt.
Donald Trump including.

3890  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Lowest crypto transaction fees on: December 19, 2020, 05:53:54 PM
So is fiat to crypto conversion on a p2p more safe/secure on a no KYC site like Localcryptos because it's anonymous or on a KYC site like LocalBitcoins? Both sites have good reviews on Trustpilot while Kraken and Coinbase have some pretty bad reviews.
Trading on p2p with KYC and no KYC requirements has is pros and cons.

Localcryptos: even though there is no KYC required to register on the exchanges still most of the traders will demand one time verification of your nationality with any of your ID and also the prices are little premium while the volume is lesser compared to localbitcoin but it varies from which country fiat you are going to trade.

Localbitcoin: Different tier system can be chosen based on your annual trading volume and as I said the prices are far better with more trading volume.

But trading on p2p for fiat to crypto is not completely safe though, there are less chances for you to get scammed if you chooses bank transfer at the time of trading but still there will be problem rises if someone hacked someone's account and bought money from you which kind of issues rises only after 6 months or later after your trades.
3891  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Please try to read through the thread before placing your post on: December 19, 2020, 04:52:42 PM
No matter how many times we say not of the members going to give any attention to it that is why merit system was introduced to control the amount of spam after that there is a lot better forum compared to previous amount of spam well still it is not completely spam free. Maybe fellas will realize it only when there is no incentive for posting contents which exceeds after certain post count in a thread. Probably this is also not s complete solution still can make a change than current spam rate.
3892  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: High transaction Fees in blockchain on: December 19, 2020, 02:56:44 PM
Maybe the Electrum fee algorithm is a little better, but not so much better that in the past few days we haven’t seen at least a dozen members whose transaction is stuck precisely because they used Electrum. The bottom line is that no wallet will be good enough to calculate a fee at a given time - so as long as people don't learn what is mempool, input/output, transaction size and the type of address they use, they won't avoid such problems.
Electrum gives wrong fee estimation when we uses ETA option while selecting the fee.Either they will show over killing fee or under required fee and but when we see the fee to Mempool option it gives the nearest fee required to the actual one.

But why we are not analyzing the required fee by ourselves before making a transaction?
3893  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading tip. on: December 19, 2020, 06:06:28 AM
Gravity is inevitable on earth but we are on space now.
There is one unique thing about this ATH. Investors are not sure where to move their profits out of crypto as there is not much out there happening. This ATH limbo situation. That is why I suggested locking at 21000 and keep running the juice.

Kind of Godmode analysis? If you said this based on your TA then you are really good at predicting the prices or just luck played this time?

By the way for this kind of threads in future go to speculation board and create a thread.
3894  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin transaction fees (in sats/kb). Sunday, Saturday are best to move BTC on: December 18, 2020, 09:09:04 PM
^Yup, using ETA was the problem I guess so fellas can use Mempool option and move the bar to your desired state. Maybe we can see Mempool size getting decrease a bit so this weekend maybe the best time for anyone to move funds because again the coming monday we can see huge traffic in the mempool again either if there is surge or dump in bitcoin's price
3895  Economy / Economics / Re: IF USDT would collapse what do you think will happen to the BTC price? on: December 18, 2020, 07:22:47 PM
The collapse of USDT is not too far from now in my opinion but before that people will diverse into many stable coins which are actually better than Tether so there will be a dump in four digits for sure as immediate effect but this won't take too long to get recovered to the original state when USDT started to collapse.
3896  Other / Meta / Re: My account got hacked on: December 18, 2020, 05:56:11 PM
But I think it is possible for the admin to delete the individual feedback without actually removing the members from the DT network ( correct me if I am wrong).
Most likely theymos would be able to do it but somehow don't see that happening tbh.
For reputational issue then Theymos may not be involving with feedback score given by other member because all he wanted is to trust system works deentralized but here the Lauda actually left the forum and even theymos himself accepted it so there is higher chance for this to be happening.

OP, you can try PMing theymos about this. Smiley
3897  Other / Meta / Re: My account got hacked on: December 18, 2020, 05:16:37 PM
Hello guys I just got my hacked account back but how do I remove my negative trust from Lauda since he not active anymore?
There's no way to remove the negative feedback, only Lauda herself can remove the feedback, and since Lauda is no longer active on the forum and is likely never going to post or carry out any activity on that account again, the only thing that can be done is for another user who's DT1 to give a counter feedback to the Lauda feedback since your account is now recovered.
Countering is not the actual solution since the new trust score system rolled out.

But I think it is possible for the admin to delete the individual feedback without actually removing the members from the DT network ( correct me if I am wrong).
3898  Economy / Reputation / Re: Isn't bitcoinermatt abusing the merit system? on: December 18, 2020, 02:54:43 PM
If we take a look at the circle of their merit history then which is kind of suspicious to me as well but we can't assume this as abuse without any clear evidences. Did you find any relation between al those accounts which shared merits between each other?
3899  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What I think every trader should do to stay in the green on: December 18, 2020, 01:59:41 PM
I don't think it will be possible, to stay forever in Green, Green and Red are part of the game.
Literally it is possible to stay in green as a trader in long run if they are good at managing funds and making decision with their trades. But red and green are common scenario of trade after trade so we have to just let it go and take the future trade as more serious and keen about not making the same mistakes which made earlier.
3900  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin transaction fees (in sats/kb). Sunday, Saturday are best to move BTC on: December 18, 2020, 06:59:41 AM
I don't know what caused your problem with inaccuracy from fee rate estimate in Electrum (wallet for Android). As I emphasized, make sure you choose the Mempool option for your mobile wallet. Default, the wallet is use ETA for fee estimation that often gives you over killing fee. Is it the option you have on your mobile wallet?
Yes I had been using the default one which is ETA, is the only thing giving inaccurate calculation? But I am not sure about it.

Since when I found they are giving over killing fee, I moved to the website which I mentioned and it is easier for me to set the required fee using static feature which is the second one after ETA guess. Mostly I won't make any transaction when the network is congested so static works fine for me.
