尽管 Mt. Gox 破产事件把比特币世界搞得腥风血雨，但互联网大手，知名风险投资人马克·安德森（Mark Andreessen，Andreessen & Horowitz 风险投资基金合伙人）仍对比特币充满信心。
Andreessen & Horowitz 目前已经在比特币行业的各公司投入了 5000 万美元资本，公司表示未来还将在“比特币”上投入“数亿美元”。
马克·安德森表示尽管 Mt. Gox 的破产事件令比特币行业在上个月遭受了重大损失（也包括他的投资），他仍然相信在未来的应用会更广泛，地位更重要，前途更光明。
目前，比特币仍然是一种不被政府监管的所谓“货币”，大多数政府和监管机构更倾向于将其认为是一种“虚拟商品”。比特币的价格变化十分夸张，一天内涨跌超过 200% 都是非常平常的事。在过去一年的离市里，最低跌至 100 美元，最高涨至 1200 多美元，一度超过黄金价格。
