3881  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernels. on: August 05, 2015, 06:08:28 PM
That's not how a Makefile is supposed to work.
When I modify a file, the files that include it should be recompiled on the next build.
Otherwise you need to find all that files and touch them manually. And if you don't remember to do it, the changes will not be reflected in the binary.
3882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernels. on: August 05, 2015, 05:29:07 PM
There is something wrong with the dependencies of groestl_functions_quad.cu: modifying it doesn't trigger recompile of the files that include it, like groestlcoin.cu
3883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernels. on: August 05, 2015, 03:47:09 PM
I see, that makes more sense... Was just wondering why you guys are optimizing groestl if it's not that popular...

Groestl is used in quark (possibly others), so faster Groestl means faster quark.

and x11 and x13 and lyra2 etc....
but, the code is only shared at times, so it takes work to spread to all the algos.
3884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernels. on: August 05, 2015, 02:48:30 PM
Not for sale. But you can keep donating, so I can publish small increases in the hashrates for free.

Next up is another groestlcoin optimalization.

From 23,7 to 24 MHASH on the gtx 970 windoforce oc.(stock) (will submitt later tonight)

The speed on AMD cards with the pallas opensource is:

Quote
v1 - to be compiled with catalyst 14.6 or 14.7:

R9 290x @1125 Mhz: ~26.4 Mh/s
R9 290 @1200: ~25 Mh/s
R9 280x (stock): ~18 Mh/s
7950 @1200: ~16 Mh/s
R9 270X: ~9.7 Mh/s

v2 - experimental hawaii only bin:

R9 290x @1125 Mhz: ~34.4 Mh/s
R9 290 @1100: ~30.6 Mh/s

Mine is faster on Tahiti - bin is public.

that falls into the "v2" category ;-)
in order to avoid confusion, I might link your tahiti bin in the OP and add its hashrate to that list.
are you ok with that?

Yeah, go ahead; just credit me.

I was looking around about mining groestl and it's only groestlcoin, right?
Only one exchange without volume, so bag holding only?

you can mine diamond as well.

@john-connor ZeroTime transactions now take less than one second to fully confirm. This is 8x less than expected. Going to rest. Ciao!
ⓘ john-connor is now known as john-connor-afk

Who's italian? John? :-)

please add neoscrypt coin guncoin.
on ffpool they are mining it pretty often, recently.
thanks.

where i can test new miner ? exapool.com doesn't work

you can easily solo mine, diff is very low on testnet.
sgminer is not working for me on amd cards, but it works on nvidia, as does ccminer.
3890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernels. on: August 03, 2015, 12:24:29 PM
I don't know if djm34 is already working on lyra2re2 for ccminer, but if he isn't, that might be an interesting algo to add, instead of axiom.
work finished since a good week... (actually I helped vtc team in tuning their new algo, so the code even predate the algo  Grin)

ops sorry, I didn't see it coming, thanks!
will try that later, along with sgminer, provided my wallet does finally sync to testnet, or the testnet pool works.
then maybe sp can merge lyra2re2 into his fork.
3891  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernels. on: August 03, 2015, 12:09:01 PM
We are here and working on updates!
You didn't take a day off did you? Naughty person! Wink
Smiley

We have been working and testing ways to hardfork and make the coin more GPU resistant, along with some major changes to POS 2.0 and it's security flaws.
More news is coming in daytime USA time!

It might not be worth the effort to finish the gpu miner for axiom. The developer is changing the POW algorithm. (from the Axiom thread)

About neoscrypt, I could get another couple percent of hashrate and I'd like to push it when done.
There was a good amount of code to enhance, remove and cleanup.
But I don't have other cards than 970 so it might be slower or not work at all on them.

stuck at testnet block 128029.
4 peers, two with higher height are banned, the other two are on the same block as myself.

Vertcoin lyra2reV2 testnet pool @ exapool.com:
Code:
stratum+tcp://nl.exapool.com:7338
user: vtctestnetaddress pass:anything

Other ports @ http://www.exapool.com/getting_started

I have no way to test it, so I would appreciate feedback.

Tried it now, it looks like it doesn't allow me to connect.
Commandline:

./sgminer -k Lyra2REv2 -o stratum+tcp://nl.exapool.com:7338 -u Ww3qMUKkGDeLd9sWk4zUDT5N63tWFBTQ7k -p x

New miners for Lyra2REv2:

https://github.com/djm34/sgminer/releases/tag/5.1.1-lyra2rev2
https://github.com/djm34/ccminer-lyra/releases

Enjoy! Remember, these miners will not work until after the fork.

Thanks and thanks djm34.
Is there a test pool to try it?
3895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: CCminer(SP-MOD) Modded NVIDIA Maxwell kernels. on: July 31, 2015, 01:19:36 PM
I'm working on neoscrypt speedup, currently around 5% hashrate increase.
Beers appreciated ;-)
that's what you need to beat: 850kh/s on 980 200kh/s (but if I have a bad 750ti) and 500kh/s on 780ti

ps: on a bitter sweet note, usually when I submit updates, I usually don't get beers, just devs outsourcing my stuff and eventually getting beers  Grin

I do not have any of those cards, just a 970; what's your hashrate on that card?
about beers, I got none of them: got BTCs only when selling.

everyone forget quark algo, big hashs made from FPGE miner. i shutdown miner today and holiday fews day. profits very low now.  Cheesy

What is a FPGE miner?  Grin '

Sharkcoin is taking a dip, and the profitability is down.

http://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/sharkcoin/

like integrated circuit. i know they are running few months(single chip using around 60watts ). i cannot talking more information, sorry. bcz it's business to someone. i hold a lots of GPU miners in my space, i working building project after few month then i will coming back to mining, and consider mining new aglo coins after.

maybe you mean FPGA Cheesy

Vertcoin is forking to a new mining algo, a modified lyra2re.
Will you add a new algo or replace the old one (or none of the two)?

Huh, these guys at Vertcoin are really fanatic with those algo forks Wink ... we'll take a look at it and we'll probably add the new algo.

can we still use the same miner ( ccminer-spmod or sgminer-pallas ) to mine? ...

or is this modification to the algo be one where we need a new miner to even get a look at? ...

#crysx

The miner needs to be updated. As soon as they release the official GPU miners (don't wonna do the work twice) I'll take a look and see if I can make a fine mod out of it ;-)

that would be fantastic mate ...

private or opensourced - that is the question i would think Smiley ...

donation servers are almost done - with the other two still giving me issues ... may have to destroy those ones and start again ...

hopefully will resolve these issues tonight ...

#crysx

That depends on how much time I'll dedicate to it and how much of a gain I can achieve vs the public miner.
Thanks for your effort on the donation servers!
