Hello @DECENT

I have just completed registration for the new portal and I see my DCT amount but was wondering about the bonuses? In the old ICO account login it said what type of bonuses the ICO funds had with them. Are they still included (or were included already) or was something changed a while ago that I may have missed? Thanks.
how can you even tell this? the new portal only shows your balance not your purchase dates orc the payment dates
3883  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: I'm looking to spend $40,000 on mining rigs. Any suggestions? on: June 25, 2017, 06:11:43 PM
I'm looking to get into mining. I already have one rig and it is performing decently, but I feel I need more.

I heard ETH's mining difficulty is getting harder and some people are switching over to mining Zcash instead. I'm currently running 6x RX 480's dual mining ETH/SC.

I want to build another 2-3 mining rigs, and want to make sure whatever I build will not decrease in performance mid->longterm. Would it be wise to build an Nvidia rig and mine alternative coins (other than ETH-based currencies) instead of building more AMD rigs?

Hi . In my opinion , if I had $40,000 , I would like trading them on buying/selling eth and anothers cryptocurrencies , I saw a documentary on a website and they told the Ethereum coin won't mine anymore , and I think the price for 1 eth will go less than 200 usd
But you have lots of coins for mining and if you really really want to invest in mining do it Smiley
By the way , nvidia will release a new video card specially for mining with 24mh/s , low price and low power usage , is named gp106-100 , you should wait for it Smiley , but the stupid thing is that this video card has just 1 year warranty Smiley and if you want to re-sell it will be hard , because I prefer to buy a normal video card and selling it to a gamer or another person , but if you buy this video card will be hard to re-sell them Smiley

Happy mining !

Actually the warranty is rumored to be only 90 days on these new cards, not sure where you heard 1 year.

As for ETH, it will switch to Proof of Stake, which is just another form of mining. Basically if you own a lot of eth, you can stake it in exchange of mining work. It's a very simplified view of things.

Myself if i had 40K to spend on mining equipement, i'd still do it now. There are other coins you can mine and make a profit out of, and having 40k of mining hardware will give you a nice edge over other miners.

That said, i'd go for 570/580s with 8gb of ram and mix it up with some nvidia gpus (those made for mining). I would also fo only 8 gpu rigs instead of 6 to lower the cost and wattage.
pray tell where do u propose the op finds 570 or 580s ??! they are not for sale anywhere, 1070 on the otherhand you can find in local stores or amazon

If I had a nickle...

Just buy ETH while it's low, you'll very likely profit next week more than you would with your $40k in the next 6 months...

I dont know how u will convert 40k fiat into eth or btc in a week lol hes too late to profit from this dip
3885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Burnt PCIE Slot and riser on: June 25, 2017, 04:22:47 AM
Did you perhaps put the riser's connection into the PCIe slot *backwards*?

I've made this mistake before on one of my slots. Burned the riser and the PCIe slot, but thankfully my motherboard is still fine.

Saw and smelt smoke, turned off rig instantly. Unfortunately I've lost one slot but the rig on the whole it's still running OK with 5 GPUs, but being the ASUS Z270-AR there's 7 PCIe slots and an m.2 I can use, so I just need more risers to arrive to get the most out of the thing.

Lesson learned though!
yeah rookie mistake i did that when i first started using risers too myself dont feel to bad

you most likely fried the pci-e slot and maybe the board and the risers are toast for sure ,the key is to remember that the protruding part of he riser should be in front
3886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Mining difficulty increased? What's going on? on: June 25, 2017, 04:06:25 AM
I did some epoch increase tests and found that my Pascal Nvidia rig was pretty much unnaffected, while the AMD cards suffer, though with my 290s not so much. It's going to be interesting times.

I'm seriously considering just selling and swapping over to 1060s and 1070s. They are awesome for hashrate vs. power and looks like the difficulty bomb isn't going to effect them much.

I would might even consider 1080ti as the 1070s are already hard to get and from price / performance you are very close with that cards and you get higher density with 1080ti in addition.

TIs use a ton more power like 200 watt and max out at eth at 37.5 or so

1070s are better as long as you can get them under 500

When will this be available for purchase again? I am wanting to get 2.

yeah i missed the boat on the last run, wiating for the next sale

Wow!

After seeing this, I realized Decent is more than decent, it's epic!

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wlSJiTULeCg

This is fun to watch this video I also amazed and would like to say Woow it's amazing thing but would be real big thing after release of mainnet. Waiting with patience to see happen good luck to all community.

seems a bit clunky but its good to see an actual working demo, only thing i wonder is how do
people find and filter content? is this badically the same thing as steemit?
3890  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Rig profit speculation(Please Help) on: June 22, 2017, 06:00:24 AM
Yeah you should assume at least 50% increase in difficulty per month.  15% would be nice but it's a long way from realistic.  With your electric cost, it's extremely unlikely you will make enough by the end of this year to pay for the electric.  Most likely well before then, it will cost more to run than it returns in revenue.
50% that seems excesive when gpus were in stock higest diff increase was 30 percent

I'm talking about monthly increase.  Gone up 100% in past month and 80% month before.  I don't know where you getting this 30% from.

Even now, still plenty of GPUs coming online.  The best cards are hard to get but people are so desperate, they are buying up the 2nd and 3rd best.
hash rate was 30k or so last month 50k yeah that was a huge spike but before that it was 20k to 25k then 30k march april may, all counciding with the price spike, price seems to have stabilized a bit i cant see a jump higher than 15 to 20% going forward with the hsrdware shortages and lower price

@DECENT ,  WHY DO YOU FORCE US TO GIVE YOU OUR PHONE NUMBERS IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THE TOKENS?

its 2017 dude get a $20 burner phone if youre so fucking woried bout your privacy
3892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 8 pin to dual 8 pin (6+2) on: June 22, 2017, 04:42:06 AM
I must give juice to 4x 1080ti. I only have 2 of those 8 pin to 8 + 8 (6+2) per PSU. I have another rig 6x 1070 on a corsair PSU.

The rig I want to place the 4 1080ti is a EVGA PSU... Somehow the companies hate each other and even though the cables are same family, they won't fit.

Now my question is, if I cut or use sandpaper to modifiy the shoes that won't go into the PSU, would that be a big nono ?

I tried to find cable to buy separately, they seem to sell them only in complete set, which is almost $100.

You want to blow some shit up?
By all means modify the psu cables.

There are lots of power supplies that can handle running 4 1080 ti's, buy one.

Don't buy the most expensive mining cards, only to cheap out on the power supply.

You must have gotten me wrong. I have two separate PSU. I only lack on enough cables for them. 1080ti needs the 8 pin to 8 + 6 pin cable.

They make adapters for that....to turn an 8 pin into an 8 + (6+2)

3895  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] DECENT Announcement - Decentralizing Content Distribution on: June 21, 2017, 02:39:30 PM
what do you guys think this opens at  (price in $)  $2? $3?

Not important how its open. But in 2 years it will beat 100USD

I hope so it will hit over $100 one day it's all upon faith and trust in this team but only few people will wait for this to reach this milestone.
a legit price would be around $10 per dct based on the opportunity cost of holding that btc , basicaly if you invested 3000 usd that was 10 btc at the time which means if you had held btc you would have had close to 27k right now so you actually paid 1.40 or so per dct. if you use the normal profit on speculation for an ic as x5 you would at least want to sell at $7 usd. which imo is low since you waited freaking 12 months
3896  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Rig profit speculation(Please Help) on: June 20, 2017, 03:43:38 PM
let's say I have a 130MH/s rig mining Etherium, 500w of power consumption, U$0.28cost per KW/h cost. According to this calculator, my profit in 1 month should be near $700.00(but it doesn't take into account rising difficulty).

Today, the profit per day is $ 23.29, if we assume the price of Ethereum won't change, taking into account the rising difficulty, what would be the daily profit of this rig after:

A) 1 month
B) 2 months
C) 6 months

I'm new into this and seems that the difficulty rises exponentially.
Thanks in advance.

just factor a rise of 15% per month to be on the safe side so either add 15% more hash each month from your profits or watch your profits decline lol

its not rocket science , just project profit reduction by 15% each month so in your case in july you will see 23.29 * .85  = 19.79 a day  etc etc

again you can mitigate this problem by adding hash every month.

Now if the diff rise for the next month is lower than 15% then you have extra payouts always a good thing, if its higher god save u lol
3897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH Difficulty +11% in less than 24 hours. on: June 20, 2017, 03:38:58 PM
So the ASICs miners are already showing their claws, make no mistakes gentlemans, difficulty fast pumps are directly connected to more hashing power in the ETH network (aka ASICS miners), bye bye ETH GPU mining.

Nah its just proof the gpu shortage is not real, large farms have access to GPU's in mass quantities

Hello,
I have spent a couple of months and now I am ready to post new version.
It is very easy to use! You need to run it at the same RIG that works.

WHAT IS IT?

I guess noobs are already scared about what is happening. They were earning $5 per day per card few days ago, now around $4.20, next week $3.20 and then $2.40 and then $1.70 and then $0.30 and then they will commit suicide in a month from now hehe. Their 80 days roi will become 80 years hehe

the so called 'noobs' are late to the game in any case, the were never gona ROI in leas than six months, that being said six month roi is better than anything on wall street but they could. have made a fuckton more by just buying eth and zcash a mere three months ago ...

It's "funny". Some big players must be buying all stock directly at the factory or something. Shops only had a handfull once and out of stock since.

lol been saying that for months , and thats with 1000 panda miners delayed, imagine what happens when those hit the network LOL

Pandas will get RX460, look at their post. And even regular 1000x pandas would give just at around 230Ghash increase.
they sold at least 3ghz of pandas last batch at the 235 speed i think 3k pandas in total so they will be brining 5000 pandas online with these slower cards to meet thier promisedhash
