3881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Motivate currency exchangers in big city centres to exchange bitcoin ? on: January 16, 2020, 09:59:44 AM

Edit: Just noted that the OP is 2010, and that the dumbo above resurfaced the thread with spam (now deleted). Anyhow, the topic is still a viable discussion, and it goes to show that progress of the OP's idea has not moved along too much.

Such posts always takes you to early days of bitcoin launch when bitcoin was just few cents.
I do agree that this idea is still an idea and doesn’t take the shape of reality even after 10 years. One of major reason for this is government regulations in most of the countries that forbid direct trading of bitcoin. But the way crypto is going up, I am sure very soon currency exchangers will join this market to have there share also.
3882  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Truth That Will Eventually Kill Bitcoin on: January 15, 2020, 04:23:37 PM
Bitcoin has been killed so many times by so many people but it’s still standing firm against all odds. I don’t say bitcoin has no odds but I also admit and say it’s the future way of transferring value from one person to another. Governments and other centralized financial institutes fear bitcoin and there is some reason for this fear.
3883  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you go to blockchain/crypto events? on: January 15, 2020, 04:01:12 PM
Yes, I never miss out on any such opportunity. It’s always good to attend such events as these are vital opportunities to network with other crypto enthusiast. In my country, such events are on the rise and I have record of attending all these in my city, so many people know me.
3884  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin still a people's currency? on: January 15, 2020, 03:36:26 PM
Bitcoin is not controlled by one single or few authorities. It’s very unlikely that we will have zero miners or no developer left in the community. Current hash rate of bitcoin is at its all time high and chances are that it will go further up in the future. This is where we see benefits of decentralization vs. centralization.
3885  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Get Its First Price? on: January 15, 2020, 03:15:23 PM
There will be more bans to come on bitcoin with the passage of time. With the popularity of bitcoin more strict regulations will be introduced by governments. It’s the community that is driving the price of bitcoin neither the governments nor central banks. Even with current ban Bitcoin is fluctuating between high and low, let’s see when it will cross it ATH.
3886  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why only 6.2 percent of American citizens own Bitcoin? on: January 15, 2020, 02:54:46 PM
It was 2017 when bitcoin came into spot light, before that it was dry period in terms of bitcoin adoption. This 6.2% adoption is span over a period of 3 years and I am sure this adoption will increase with passage of time. There are countries where Bitcoin adoption is more than USA like in Japan, South Korea, Switzerland, and Slovenia.
3887  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Daily Living on: January 14, 2020, 04:48:29 PM
There isn't any single place in my country where I can use cryptocurrency. So I can say with confidence that I can't live on CC but on fiat. I am sure my country is not alone on the list, there are many more such places. With fiat even a small kid can buy things and have a living but with BTC only experts can buy or sell.
3888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: End to the Craig Wright FUD in less than a month - 3rd Feb 2020 on: January 14, 2020, 04:14:35 PM
He is not satoshi rather faketoshi and we all know that he is doing this just for fame. I wish court may sentence some severe punishment for lying. He is not alone in the list there are many, if there is some decision from court people will think twice before declaring them as satoshi.
3889  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which altcoins are you keeping in your bag for 2020-2021 ? on: January 14, 2020, 03:19:38 PM
Hello everybody. I have made a bag for 2 years to buy myself car and house Smiley I have different 8 tokens and I will try to reach 70x at least.

Ocean
Nex
Tezos
Chainlink
Neo
Ontology
Chilliz
Conceal Network.

I wonder that what are you keeping in your bag for 2020-2021 ?

I am keeping ethereum, Litecoin, Monero, EOS and Tron in alt coin category while majority of capital will go to bitcoin. I doesn't make much difference whether you buy bitcoin or distribute your capital to altcoins. altcoins will only move if bitcoin goes up.
3890  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price: US-Iran conflict is the answer on: January 14, 2020, 01:17:07 PM
It was like Yes-No-Yes-Cant Say. Bitcoin initially started its bull run after initial USA Iran tension then fall back and went up again and now going more up. Luckily chances of war are over but bitcoin is still going up. Right now I am in 'Cant say' phase about bitcoin bullish run. Its totally unpredictable.
3891  Other / Politics & Society / Re: WW3 - Are we all gonna die? on: January 14, 2020, 12:39:35 PM
What are the chances of the drone strike in Iran starting a chain of reactions that leads to another World War? I know that political relations are in general always tense, so will the drone strike catalyse another war to come?

Probably most of the human being are going to die in a possible world war 3.

As Albert Einstein said: " “I do not know with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.”

I don't think we can afford any World War now. Every country is equipped with deadly weapons that can kill hundred of thousands people in just blink of an eye. There wont be any WW-4, since the life on earth will cease if we have WW-3. Lets try to establish peace.
3892  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We are giving too much attention on the halving on: January 13, 2020, 05:42:42 PM
We need an event to discuss and pay attention to. 2019 ends with coin halving while 2020 starts with Iran USA tension and its impact on Bitcoin price. Now again attention is getting back to coin halving, thanks to normalization of things between USA and Iran. this is how crypto community moves and will keep on moving.
3893  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The use of Bitcoin on: January 13, 2020, 05:12:25 PM
Bitcoin is not a decisive winner over fiat. It’s the fiat in which the value of bitcoin is measured and the world is running on fiat for centuries. An unbiased analysis of bitcoin clearly indicated that bitcoin is still very novice and is not in a position to compete with fiat.
OP has written one key benefit of fiat that even 2 years old kid can buy stuff using fiat which is not possible with bitcoin.
3894  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why will BTC halving stimulate price growth? on: January 13, 2020, 04:14:07 PM

Many people are confident that this event will trigger the next bull run.

Between who them that coin halving will result in price growth of BTC? It’s just a speculation that due to halving in coin reward per block will take BTC price up. This prediction may or may not be true. Based on previous predictions I don’t think this will go true also.
3895  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC to 5000$ before a big rise ? on: January 13, 2020, 11:43:39 AM
I don’t know whether it will go down to 5k$, right now it’s stable at 8k$. Let’s hope it doesn’t go further down and remain stable here.
This is just FUD that bitcoin will go down to 5k$ before halving. Nobody knows what impact halving will have on bitcoin price. Play sensibly.
3896  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 67,1% of micro businesses do not know what cryptocurrencies are. on: January 13, 2020, 10:52:56 AM
Right now crypto usage is limited to tech aware people only. Although paying with crypto is not very tricky but getting started and knowing about crypto is not possible for everyone. Probably that’s the reason why crypto adoption is low. Every new innovation has to see such dry period in the start, so it’s OK if we don’t have much bitcoin users right now.
3897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How would you define Blockchain Technology in a single phrase? on: January 12, 2020, 05:20:14 PM
Decentralized recording of financial transactions

For me its a distributed ledger technology that records each and every transaction after all nodes verify that transaction.
The mother of all cryptocurrency who is widely recognized and accepted worldwide.
3898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Uber or Airbnb running on bitcoin on: January 12, 2020, 04:34:40 PM
What you need to understand is that, it takes time for people to understand the true value of bitcoin and its purpose.  The adoption of bitcoin is gonna be a gradual process we just have to patience and wait till majority understand why bitcoin is needed...

As online taxi service start getting popular, government also started imposing taxes on it. Same holds true for bitcoin also, as its getting popular governments all around are imposing strict regulations. Apart from that bitcoin own issues like price volatility and slowness are main problem that are acting as barrier in commercial use of bitcoin.
3899  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins profit ... Which altcoin is best for profits? on: January 12, 2020, 08:13:06 AM
Right now all Alt coins are doing good. Alt coins price is very much related with bitcoin, unfortunately they failed to move on there own. There is no answer to question that which alt coin is best, there are scores of alt coin and many have the potential to give you good return. Its upto you to choose the right one by DYOR.
3900  Other / Politics & Society / Re: One Million Trees on: January 12, 2020, 07:40:31 AM
Not only plant trees but also take care of them. Problem is we plant trees and then abondan them. Almost half of trees plantation went useless because of no care after plantation. If we want to give a good future to our kids we have to plant trees.
I agree, most trees being abandoned after planting trees. Sad but true.  On the other hand once it wss being take csre it has a big impact to our environment. It gives life to be honest. Everytime I see lot of trees I feel calm. Let us plant more trees because without them its very to live since they are the main source of oxygen in this world.

Qatar is so hot its capital city now has air conditioning OUTSIDE to protect people from summer temperatures which soar to a blistering 115°F. While trees can do that for free, 24/7/365 and without requiring any maintenance. If we don't plant trees on emergency basis we will have to do such artificial and expensive treatments globally. Sadly we are more interested in cutting trees rather planting.
