No.

Why not?

Cyprus has always been the hideout for many thieves.
Believe me, I live in Cyprus.

OK, this is pure speculation, so mods please move this to the according forum if necessary.

Now, did anybody take a look at Mark's new business plan in hitting Europe?

Did anybody hear about Neo-bee? http://www.neo-bee.com/index.php/en/

Well, apparently their first reference to a Bitcoin website is: bitcoins.com

Which is owned by who?HuhHuh?

http://www.neo-bee.com/en/faqs/
scroll down till you see the reference links.

Again, this is just speculation....

That is an impressive amount of hashing power delivered to the network with much more to come

This is not an impressive amount added to the network.

You will see no difference in the overall hashing power as these miners were hashing from before.

Didn't you notice the drop of % for the unknown miners?

3888  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Setup & Troubleshoot] Bitmain AntMiner S1 180GH/S miner on: March 05, 2014, 04:59:01 PM
I fixed it Smiley

Apparently I didn't notice the cnt=0 before all the rest.
That has to be commented out as well for it to work.

So if you want to manually remove the NTP in the v1.5 Ant you should comment out all the following:

cnt=0
 if [ ! -f /tmp/cgminer-ntpd-done ]; then
               while [ "$NTPD_RET" != "0" ]; do
                       ntpd -d -n -q -N \
                           -p 0.openwrt.pool.ntp.org \
                           -p 1.openwrt.pool.ntp.org \
                           -p 2.openwrt.pool.ntp.org \
                           -p 3.openwrt.pool.ntp.org
                               cnt=$ (($cnt+1))
                               if [ $cnt -gt 2 ];then
                                        echo cnt
                                        break
                              fi

                       NTPD_RET=$?
               done

               touch /tmp/cgminer-ntpd-done
       fi

Is this mod functionally the same as unchecking "Enable NTP client" on rev 1.5 w/ latest firmware? I had some rev 1.5 ants connected via wifi that were dropping off.

You need to do both to disable NTP.

3889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why other countries ban Bitcoin? on: March 05, 2014, 04:19:12 PM
Which countries ban bitcoin? You must read some other news than me...

Hehe Smiley So far as I know only Russia ban Bitcoin Smiley
And perhaps China but not 100% ban Smiley

Illuminati are Chineese and Russians

The Illuminati as long as the Skulls, the Freemasons and others are all run by Jewish people.
Sure some of them are Russian Jews, but I have not heard of one that is a Chinese Jew.

Oh so you do not know nothing about the world Smiley

illuminati everywhere

Can you name a Chinese Jew that is behind the wheels?

Is this another one of your 'predictions'? Yeah, I'd get out of the speculation business if I were you.

Funny how you just signed up tp post on my thread and what do you know, your buddy (you basically with a different username) stepped up to back u up.

Quote
Yet, you continue to post....hmmm.
Of course I do, this is my thread is it not?

Quote
'Research' you did after you already made the prediction when you were called out to justify it. I'd hardly call incoherent and scattered one-liners justification or reseach. Your posts are pure stream of consciousness without any logical layout. I'd give you a pass if you're blazed when posting this.
So how comes after I made my "bullshit" prediction the price went from $650 to $710?
Yes, you have no idea how tempted I was to research the subject so that I can respond to your post......

Quote
Since from your own words you talking blatant bullshit, the only logical answer is that you have no idea about this stuff.
According to you and your other account I am talking blatant bullshit yet you both did not comment on what I said about: When players wanna play.
Clearly it is I that has no idea about this stuff.

Quote
A wrong prediction means you don't 'know' about the economics...or don't care about the consequences.
I am guessing you are an accountant and know everything about economics.
Tell me oh wise bullshit troll, how many of the jokers you see on TV talking about the stock market and other investments came true?
Warren Buffett was wrong on quite a few occasions and lost several billions.
What makes you think that YOU know economics?

Here we go again, just like you posted with your other account:
The fact that I asked from him to pay me....
Are you for real now?
Even if I meant charging him for information does that make me a criminal?
There are many people living a great life doing a legitimate business where all they do is provide information after research.
Business advisers for one.

Quote
Irrelevant. However, what is relavent is that I require proof about how much you're backing your prediction with.

Bitsamp.net - check the order book.
Coindesk.com - check the news for this past month and what's coming.

If you want more, DO YOUR OWN F*CKING RESEARCH.

Quote
So you're also a homophobe? Not cool, man. Not cool.

My best friend since highschool is gay.
And I respect his way of life just as much as he respects mine.
So your argument is invalid.

I only said that because it's a saying we have here, just like the ones you have where you live I am guessing.

Now, since you have wasted enough of my time with your shit, I will hit the ignore button on both, you and you Wink

Before I do that, here is a normal, decent argument:

Quote
Dreamer. This is what i think. The comunity is full of dreamer.

This is a proper response to my prediction.

THANK YOU! giletto for speaking your mind in an appropriate manner.
Your thoughts about my thoughts are accepted.

This is what others don't understand because they do not have the brains to comprehend what a reasonable discussion and/or argument is.

Who know, maybe I am just a dreamer.

The fact here is some people should behave them selves.
And stop trolling posts.

3892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Why scrypt asics are all dual mine thus far? on: March 05, 2014, 03:25:02 PM
That is because they only work for Scrypt.
The dual mining sounds nice but it has problems.
So if you go for a dual miner at this point make sure you do it for Scrypt.
3893  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: BitMainTech Scamming Me For S1 Miner on: March 05, 2014, 03:23:23 PM

Because I can guarantee to you that it will not work.
You will not get anything out of this.

I see more returns from BTCGuild than I did with GHash.

3895  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: made a purchase from overstock instead of amazon on: March 05, 2014, 02:55:39 PM
Overstock is still not accepting BTC from international customers.

WOW,

I'm actually sorry to hear this. The only thing I could think of is this is not an Overstock.com issue and more of a BTC Merchant Service Issue. I never looked into this or considered it. Keep in mind that although Overstock.com accepts BTC they're getting their fiat currency deposited into their bank account from their BTC merchant service which I think they are using CoinBase.com to process BTC which would be USD. Overstock.com not accepting BTC for international purchases is not the fault of Overstock.com if they can not find a Merchant Service that converts BTC to your country's currency.

Hopefully Overstock.com is actively looking for a Merchant Service that could provide the currency conversion in your area or better yet both bitpay.com and coinbase.com step up and go international.

Yes, rumors has it that they will be using the new Gox that supports many currencies Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin Grin
Regardless to say, probably no payment back to the merchant....

Or buy a laptop exclusively for cold storage only.

Why would a laptop be desired over using paper wallets for cold storage?   ... To send BTC, I use the loaded paper wallets that I need to cover the transaction, scan in the private keys ...

into the malware infected computer and the attacker steals them the second the system becomes aware of the private key.

It might be overkill for a couple bitcoins but if you are talking hundreds or thousands it is well worth the money to have an secure dedicated laptop to perform offline signing.  The private keys never touch a computer connected to the internet .... ever.  Not just in storage but also in use.

This doesn't mean you can't also have paper backup as a backup to the offline signing device.

Quote
no more a burden than copying keys from a cold storage laptop to a hot wallet on an online computer via a usb drive -- and keep in mind that you would only copy the keys you would need, otherwise, you would be exposing your "cold storage" private keys to be possibly read by malicious software.

The keys NEVER leave cold storage.  The only thing copied to the hot wallet is the complete digitally signed transaction.  The hot wallet could be a cesspool of infection and the attacker would get nothing that isn't already public information anyways.

Hi, I currently don't have much coins to need a laptop as a cold storage, but can you please explain this process to me?

I am currently using an encrypted drive to store my wallet, but in case I get Bitcoin rich I would like to know how to do this  Grin Grin Grin Grin
3898  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: When Wall Street will finally jump in? on: March 05, 2014, 02:26:01 PM
The only reason the Wall Street is not in this yet is because (just a fictional scenario here) the U.S. is in development of their own cryptocurrency.

Just saying here......

Wouldn't that make sense?

EDIT: Let's not forget that nobody knows who Satoshi Nakamoto is Wink

3899  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: FlexCoin used 2 FA and still got hacked!!!!! I'm out of this game on: March 05, 2014, 12:46:05 PM
You do not own any bitcoins if you do not own teh private keys to them.

Nuff said Wink

moppop did you sign up to back up for your buddy?

I was going to quote your entire bullshit response and reply to you in the same manner but i will not bother with idiots like you and your friend anymore.

That being said:
When I made my prediction it was based on my research.
I tell you what, go open up an account with Bitstamp and check the order book.
Many people are trying to get their hands on 100+ Bitcoins for cheap.
And the day I said what I said there were more, which is why the price increased, because there were sales.
If people were just trying to sell Bitcoin but there was not much sales then the price will go down.

Quote
Irrelavent and hard to follow. This has nothing to do with a prediction of BTC hitting $1000 from admitted 'blatant bullshit'er.

You have no idea about this stuff do you?
So please be quiet and let me talk blatant bullshit.

Also do check out the Bitcoin news, you will be surprised to know that the world is moving towards Bitcoin not away from it.
Overstock made 1M$ sales in two months in BTC since they had adopted Bitcoin in their payments.

Sure I made a very bold prediction.
If it comes true then it is good for the entire community here.
If not, then I made a wrong prediction.

How does that make me an idiot?
The only idiotic thing about my thread is that it attracts many idiots like you.

Do you even own 0.001BTC?

Now please go about your business and let me be wrong.
I am not afraid to admit I was wrong.
And I will let you go about your way which is to troll on posts, from what I see in your profile.

Have a nice day and stop being so gay!
