3881  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: majority of blockchain project has lost focus on: October 31, 2019, 04:12:43 PM
why many of so-called blockchain projects these days are scammers, is this was motive behind the technology? many real investors are not confident to participate due to fake blockchain projects all over the internet.

what are your views

You are asking why they are scammers? Because they get free money doing nothing. They don't care about your money or how you would feel after getting scammed. They enjoy scamming naive people. They aren't all bad, after all you get to learn something out of it. You become more cautious after getting scammed. You learn to not fall for stupid "offers" or offers that are too good to be true. You learn how to spot scams!
3882  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I need your advice! on: October 31, 2019, 04:04:30 PM
I have mentioned a project called Sessia (kicks). The project offers something like incentive. After each purchase, you get Cashbacks, and your friends can see your receipt in the Feed. What's more, you get kickbacks from all their purchases in the same shop.
What do you think guys about its future. I need your advice that should I invest in this project? Kindly suggest me.
https://www.sessia.com/
Whats the main reason behind letting my "friends" see my receipt? Invoice contains all the information like stuffs I have purchased and how much I paid, right? I guess there are also options to hide my purchase for privacy reasons?
I don't see anything special about this project. There are shit tons of other sites that you can make purchases using crypto currencies, some as far as I know have some good incentives. I don't see anything unique on this project, so I would hesitate a bit when investing over here.
3883  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you invest 60 BTC? on: October 30, 2019, 09:38:45 PM
Suppose you earned 60BTC by working hard for 5 years and one day you decide now you don't want to work then what would you do with that amount?
How would you invest that amount? What will you do? Hold it dreaming the price will rise? Sell it and invest the fiat? or start a business? or retire? Any ideas?  Tongue
Probably convert some of the coins (maybe around 40% of the coins) to fiat currency. Hold most of them and invest rest on altcoins. I would also invest most of them in some well known casino like crypto-games.net. You know, make some more profits on the way while holding them, sitting back and relaxing. Casinos in the long run will make profit because of the house edge. So year, low risk investment.
3884  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Altcoins to go crazy again once Bitcoin reaches 20k? on: October 30, 2019, 09:32:03 PM
Who knows? Maybe they won't go "crazy" or they actually might go crazy. We have seen altcoins bleeding when bitcoin starts to rise in price. But then it eventually starts to rise back and follows the trend of bitcoin to a certain level. One think I don't understand, why do people keep on talking about altcoin "season". What the hell is this "season" about anyways?
3885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best altcoin to invest excluding ETH on: October 30, 2019, 08:33:58 PM
Asking financial suggestions from random people on the internet isn't the best thing to do. People will always be biased towards the coins they have invested on, no matter how shit that coin is. Secondly, the don't care if you lose money after investing on the coins they have suggested since those money doesn't belong to them. Finally, you know your financial aspects better than anyone else. Thus you can make better decisions based on your financial scope. Get some list of well known coins. Select some from there. Invest on coins that you think have potential. Check coinmarketcap to get a list of altcoins.
3886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sell your altcoins and tokens TODAY, save yourself the frustration on: October 30, 2019, 06:55:22 PM
True that around 99% (maybe the percentage is a little bit exaggerated) of the alt coins are shit coins. But trust me, most of the people know that but they still invest on it. This is because they have seen the market. They have seen how those shitcoins sometimes get pumped to the "moon" and then dies. Most of them just invests on it to take advantage of that pump and tries to get out as soon as possible. It is more like a gambling for them. Most of them fails to take advantage of it and then starts to cry.
3887  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: People are to be blame for what happened to them on the internet on: October 29, 2019, 05:22:06 PM
Yeah, they are to be blamed if they get scammed to some extent. It is really sad they can't see whats real and whats fake. Well, greed is what that makes them blind. They see offers that are too tempting, that are too good to be true, but they don't seem to think twice, jump into the trap and then starts to cry. But, they do learn something out of it. At least they become more careful next time before trying out anything new.
3888  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin needs institutional money coming in? on: October 29, 2019, 04:55:42 PM
We don't necessarily need the money from institutional investors in order to progress or move forward. We can do that as a community, though I would not lie that institutional investors' money just sped up the process and increased bitcoin's valuation by lots of miles. Having said that, they can leave the economy at any day and we can still make changes, post records and be moving forward without the millions flowing in on the economy everyday. We aren't basically dependent on their money during the early days but since people found out about bitcoin's trading properties, capitalists capitalized on this and entered the market, supplying it with money and the birth of bitcoin's price volatility is sealed.
Wouldn't them leaving the economy again would reverse all the effect? Them leaving means they will end up dumping a lot of coins thus causing the market to crash (which would then cause further crash as people starts to panic). The increased valuation would then be just considered as temporary. It is better to move on our own instead of just waiting for those industrial investors. True they joining the market will act like a catalyst speeding up the process.
3889  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Donating the Gambling profits on: October 29, 2019, 03:39:52 PM
So you have to win big in order to "feel" like donating to a charitable cause? It is totally up to the people. Though never heard from anyone donating their profits to a charity. but I do like to share some of my wins online with other users playing. I have also seen people being generous enough to tip other users when they win something good.
But then there are also people who get really excited when they win, give some away and then loses rest of the winnings trying to win more Roll Eyes.
3890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does the discipline help in gambling? on: October 26, 2019, 01:42:27 PM
How strong does a character need to be to set aside some amount of money on a weekly gamble?
What needs to happen to make it happen?
Does the great loss solidify our character?
What exactly does it mean to discipline yourself in gambling (in the narrow sense)?
Should we be disciplined in gambling, does it mean that we are better at gambling, or that we put less money at stake with more enjoyment, less fear, adrenaline, etc. ?
Me interested in answering the last question?
1. You need to persistent, but trust me eventually if you gamble regularly you won't be able to do so.
2. Probably have someone control your funds.
3. Nope. In fact it makes you more weak and you end up chasing loss.
4. Maybe follow strict rules and don't act dumb?
5. Nah, being disciplined doesn't mean you will be better at gambling. The long run results are always the same.
3891  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will it help bitcoin if we shift funds to it ? on: October 26, 2019, 01:36:11 PM
Yeah, why wouldn't it? Demand and supply. If you everyone moves to bitcoin, the demand for bitcoin will rise. Since there are limited number of coins circulating in the market, then the price will eventually start to increase. But then again, there are also people holding bitcoin and waiting for an opportunity to sell it and make some profit. Once the price rises, those people will start dumping their coins. So yeah, in the short run, it will cause some massive fluctuation, but in the long run it will tend to go up.
3892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people easily get scammed on the internet? on: October 26, 2019, 01:32:38 PM
Because they are stupid enough to fall for it. Most of the people that gets scammed are either because of greed or laziness. They don't tend to know about the site or person before initiating any trade. Again, like you said, greed is another factor. They see offers that are too good and then they end up jumping on the trap. We also see some people who blindly trusts their trader and ends up getting scammed. At least they learn a lesson from this.
3893  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Statement against people who say Bitcoin is a Scam on: October 26, 2019, 12:52:40 PM
I always find people who think that Bitcoin or cryptocurrency assets are busting money and sometimes there are people who always assume that investing in bitcoin is fraught with hacker risk.
on the other hand I cannot assume that their opinions are wrong, but on the other hand I cannot justify their statements.
No, their opinions are not wrong at all. I don't know in what sense you used the word "fraught". So lets skip that part. About the hackers "risk". They are not wrong. Their computer and wallets can get hacked. This is nothing new. If you keep your money at your house without securing it, there is a chance someone can break in and steal all your money. In the same sense, if you don't keep your wallet or your computer secured, there is always a chance of losing your coins.
3894  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What's worse: cigar addiction or gambling addiction on: October 26, 2019, 12:08:43 PM
Any kind of addiction is bad for you. You can't compare which addiction is worse than the other. Every kind of addiction creates some sort of barriers in your life which is harmful for you. Gambling addiction will make you end up penniless while cigars can make you physically weak and will eventually in the long run reduce your life expectancy. Even being poor brings mental stress causing you to lead a unhealthy lifestyle. Both are harmful in their own ways.
3895  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: HELP NEEDED !! ANYONE KNOWS EXCHANGE ?? on: October 25, 2019, 07:15:02 PM
Some one is being scammed is a possibility but who cares, I am making 5% of total deal where as ALADIN is making 25%
So someone is going to get scammed but you don't care at all because you have nothing to lose? Just for 5% commission you give no damn about anything? You might end up being in legal trouble over here is someone gets scammed since banks and stuffs are involved. Again, what if your client guy is trying to launder money using you?
3896  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Top bitcoin trading strategies on: October 25, 2019, 07:08:38 PM
Out of the four strategies you have suggested, I would say the Holding strategy is the best. If you believe that in the long run the prices of the crypto currencies are bound to increase, then long term holding will the best option for you. There is just a little risk compared to the other strategies you have stated. Just hold your coins and sit back. In fact just forget about it for a while. When you hear the price dropping, instead of panicking, start to invest more into the coins. After reaching a certain profit threshold, sell a portion of your coin and hold the rest.
3897  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are People Losing Interest with Bitcoin? on: October 25, 2019, 06:06:14 PM
I think some people are really not interested in bitcoin anymore because they feel they are deceived and trapped in high prices during the tragedy in 2017 that the price of bitcoin can reach $ 20k and after that the price fell so deep that it made many people lose and hate bitcoin.
Who told you that they are not interested into bitcoin any more due to the price? That is really stupid thing to say. But yeah, it is going to be good for us if people loses interest if the price of the bitcoin falls. At least we will be getting rid of those people who are here just for the profit and is of no use to the community. If they don't understand the simple concept of economics, then they shouldn't be investing in bitcoin in the first place. They can't always expect the price of bitcoin to rise.
Would like to see the regret on their face in the long run.
3898  Economy / Economics / Re: Fiat currencies on: October 25, 2019, 05:51:33 PM
No, why would USD replace EURO? I mean in what sense are you saying that US dollars might replace Euro? US dollar is already considered as the reserved currency of choice. It is more dominant because it is the most  stable and widely traded currency. Euro can become stable enough only when EU instead of being a hybrid system turns into true federation. Then EURO might end up taking over USD as a choice of reserve currency.
3899  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Worst Day of My LIFE - Dice on: October 25, 2019, 05:34:40 PM
Borrowing money from someone in order to gamble shows how addicted to gambling you are. That is the worst decision you have taken. You are borrowing the money in the first place because you don't have any money. Then why in the world didn't you think what would happen if you lost all the money while gambling?
Hard luck. I would suggest you to get a job and slowly repay him. He is your friend. He will understand your situation.
3900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin can't survive alone on: October 25, 2019, 05:31:47 PM
Over 850 millions of people use alipay as means of payment mostly in china and i heard lots about wepay as well, i come to think of it that what if bitcoin was been used in their places instead? if alipay and wepay can get to where they are today then altcoins have all the chances of survival as well. Wepay and Alipay are just online payment solution, crypto can do better.

Real use cases plus real life working products, let these two be your main focus when picking altcoins to invest your money on, do not listen to those saying 'dump altcoins for bitcoin' when you are holding solid altcoins
I don't see any reason why bitcoin can't survive alone? You don't need altcoins for bitcoins to survive. As long as people buys and holds bitcoin it will survive. Even though if people can't use it as a form of currency, they can always use it as a store of value.
Sometimes your altcoins won't be giving you much profit like that of bitcoin. So it is better to let go of your altcoin and jump into bitcoin.
