3881  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: about whales entering and leaving exchange on: May 19, 2020, 05:46:27 PM

how accurate is the information flowing in whale-alert.io? looking for changes in the order book must be hard to do if its not even accurate. probably not a reliable data.
i don't know if anyone is actually using its data to watch the market and do something to profit.

there could be a lot of things that will happen when you see some information in that whale-alert.io. transaction like 1000BTC from bittrex to binance, i don't know how to react to that since it likely from a guy who does arbitrage. or he could be buying some altcoins not found in bittrex? 1000BTC from unknown wallet to binance. does it mean this guy is going to dump?  i wouldn't disregard charts all because of those info.
3882  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk Reveals How much Bitcoins he Hold on: May 18, 2020, 02:34:17 PM
I don't believe millioners like Elon Musk only hold 0.25 BTC. He made the confession on Twitter so it would not be the target of hackers.
Imagine if for example Elon Musk said to hold 100 BTC, hackers from all over the world would target Elon Musk's crypto wallets.
Actually I do not care about the statement of the number of bitcoins owned by Elon Musk, the statement would be right or wrong.
Because it does not provide benefits for me, I better focus on my own investment and trading.

hard to believe when he had been so active in the community as a believer. he knows BTC will be valuable in the future so why not get as much as he can since he is an investors who believes unlike Warren. there is a reason why he claims to have just a fraction of BTC and it could be because he already had untraceable stash of BTC somewhere.

3883  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk Reveals How much Bitcoins he Hold on: May 17, 2020, 06:46:44 PM
I don't think Elon Musk needs to buy Bitcoin. He already has around 30 billion dollars, it's not like he's going to buy BTC to get rich like most of the people around here.

I'd even go so far as to suggest he could buy all the Bitcoin in existence if he really wanted by orchestrating a mass dump then gradually buying up the weak hands.

But he wont.

and could it be that he is trying to evade tax by revealing how much his BTC is this time while in the past he actively supports a blockchain project like the spacechain?

its just not very believable when someone who had been active in cryptocurrency and how rich he is but only got 0.25BTC. NO. he doesn't need to buy bitcoin, Maybe he has to hide his BTC instead deeper than 6feet because once the government will crackdown holders, the KYC documents we have submitted will all be dug.
3884  Economy / Economics / Re: US is so poor that president trump constantly attack China. on: May 17, 2020, 06:21:04 PM
thats funny. i don't look at it that companies like apple don't wanna pay US government due to misuse of tax money. its just that apple can gain and benefit more if their production is in china. this is also what other companies are after why they stay in China which also made them richer. they are becoming too rich which is dangerous.

i like what china is doing to the poor countries and helping them grow. they are helping my country too. i hope they can unite the whole Asia and not invade like what they are doing to the uyghur city.
3885  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Indiscipline and Greed on: May 17, 2020, 04:36:31 PM

Did this before with one of my tokens from bounties.

It was not just enough for me when I sold it.
I want more.
There's a reason behind it. Before I sold the tokens I am trying to monitor the way it moves and it is swaying hard.
Maybe that is why I had the idea to buy and sell it without thinking of losing more.
I lose half the value of it and concede.

Telling yourself it is enough is a difficult task.

its difficult to tell yourself enough when you are winning as well. and then you will try again even when obviously there is no sign that the market will move somewhere.

i have done these many times. i often find myself asking why did what i did and then cancel the order and look back again to continue the same position i once cancelled.
i eventually learned after numerous mistakes i did but that is after losing more of it.
3886  Economy / Speculation / Re: The excitement is over, what's next? on: May 16, 2020, 10:12:28 AM
the only people who will lose excitement are the ones who sold their btc and hasn't yet bought back because the expected dip didn't happen.  it may still come if nothing happens while the pandemic is around. crypto is full of thrills and excitement, you lose them both when you lose your coins.

the next to watch out is the effect of halving. it may come after months, some users says we can reach the ATH by next year.
3887  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Let's some talk about protfolio management! on: May 16, 2020, 06:05:19 AM

i'm not sure if you could call it a portfolio if you only have BTC on your investment. it has to have more of it, there has to be something else apart from BTC such as ETH. anyone who is in crypto i guess know this token i suppose.

choosing which one to pick isn't easy which is why there is the need for an investor to wisely do the research first or it will affect emotionally i believe that.
3888  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: New to trading on: May 15, 2020, 03:31:02 PM

users who says buy the dip are the ones who accumulate coins every time the price dips. rule of thumb is to sell your coins for a higher price. higher from the price where you bought it for you to profit which is why most are just waiting for price pumps before selling. you can also do the same, it keeps you waiting but usually it won't take weeks for prices to spike or dip for more than 2%.

Ok thank you. Does this same principal apply to the price of Bitcoin as well?

its the basics. if you bought an altcoin for 0.00001BTC it has to be more than 0.00001BTC when you sell this altcoin otherwise youre not accumulating BTC. same applies for USD price. buying the coin for $1 and selling it for more than $1.

you will only have to learn when to buy because it doesn't look that easy as it may sound. some of us will teaches you the bottom or at every dip. but how to learn which is the bottom and the dip. RSI is actually a good indicator to use for this.

NEO is a good project to invest. profitable for long term because it gives GAS if you stake NEO.

there is a chance for the coin to drop to $7 if it retrace back to retracement line 75 and its RSI says the price is over bought which is could go down to $7.
don't think of it as a real analysis from a pro, this is base to my analysis alone. but once the RSI reaches to its lowest like the green line i draw, that would be the bottom of it and that means a good time to buy more NEO.

damn! what did i eat to day.

3890  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who owns the bitcoin trademark? on: May 15, 2020, 02:17:03 PM

its an opensource so no one which is why anyone can fork BTC for whatever editions they can make, no one can stop them from doing so. so many domains today with the word "bitcoin" on it or BTC but no one nor the team can file a case against them since its their right and after all its opensource.

if CW will successfully prove he is satoshi which i doubt he can, he may actually file a trademark for BTC and all those who uses "bitcoin" in any brand they promote may face infringement. well it wont happen.
3891  Economy / Economics / Re: Americans hoarding cash doing more harm to their economy? on: May 14, 2020, 05:34:05 PM

everyone holds their cash because they can't spend it anywhere as well. companies are closed and we're all locked in our homes, where could they spend their cash but hold. the good side is that they are preventing the virus from spreading by hoarding. but the cash has to circulate for the economy to run. US didn't still sanitize their bank notes?

i'm hopeful that every country that did quarantined their bills are trying to move their money into digital.
3892  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why You choose Crypto Trading instead of Forex Trading. on: May 14, 2020, 04:34:36 PM

well in crypto, you can hold a coin for as long as you can and your money still profits while you hold USD in forex market for a long time and you still get the exact amount you have.  crypto is for all. if you are not a trader, you still can be in crypto and profit when the prices moons. this i believe is a good reason to stay in crypto. another reason is that crypto market works 247 but forex sessions only from monday to friday.

3893  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The market does not respect anyone on: May 14, 2020, 04:05:36 PM

Hm, well I will like to contribute my own point of view about trading, assuming you have 2000$ worth of Bitcoin already, why not sell half for stable coin? Hold the remaining BTC balance just Incase price surge later, holding that 1k stable coin will come in handy once price start declining too, tell me how this isn't the best trading plan?

you are not sure which way the market goes if you are doing this. but if it works for you then why not.

you will learn to see which way the market goes if you try to be a swing trader at least by it you only trade when the trend has begun already. and by being a swing trader you'll see that you are the one respecting whoever made the markets move.
3894  Economy / Economics / Re: Some Strategies to Face the Next Crisis on: May 11, 2020, 03:51:02 PM

we are yet not done with this current crisis, people are still going to die. some countries today are lucky because they have resources around them and some countries will starve.

we don't know yet whats to come in the next crisis by the next 50 years, we all probably are dead. and the new generations will face it. by that time as well its all digital so the crisis could be in a digital form.
3895  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Halving about to make a major move? on: May 10, 2020, 02:37:09 PM
In my opinion, the main disadvantage of halving is that miners lose interest in their activities, as their remuneration is halved.  but since due to this event the supply of Bitcoin will decrease, and the demand of Bitcoin will remain the same, in this case, due to a shortage of coins, the price of Bitcoin will increase many times.  thus, not only the owners of bitcoin, but also the miners will be pleased with the increase in the price of bitcoin, since the theoretical reward received will be appreciated higher, even if it decreases from 12.5 coins to 6.25.

not likely what would happen. miners will still mine as long as the price keep rising. the price will keep rising until it will hit its ath again and overbought. the miners who hoard i guess will win the game and if the miners had hoard since last month the more money they could have. eventually they will dump but then they will wait. the miners will continue as long as mining pays off.
3896  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where to store money in regular currency when not trading? on: May 10, 2020, 09:07:00 AM

you worry if the exchange will do the exit scam while your money is with them. USDT can be withdrawn every time you are done trading and you send it back again to the exchange when you are ready to trade again for the day. its a repeating job and will cost withdrawal fees. if the exchange get hacked while your BTC are inside the exchange then thats a long discussion.

there are risks when trading on centralize exchanges but doing it in the decentralized exchange may just save you from sleepless nights.
3897  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful using MEW to create Ethereum wallet and also opening them on: May 09, 2020, 03:39:55 PM
there use to be a way to access our mew wallets offline but this option were not available after some updates. i think it was still there back in 3.10 version which we can use our keystore file and password. mew isn't getting easy and slow to load because they allow all tokens to appear in the wallet instead of just making us add the token by our selves with the contract address.
3898  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: when will the alts season come? on: May 09, 2020, 02:42:32 PM

it would be too good to be true to really have an altcoin season every halving, but of course we can only hope there will be.

bittrex and polo are still around, they are not really silent but i guess few developments were made. recently there was a news about polo acquired by Justin Sun of TRON as well. not the preferred exchange this time really but there are loyal accounts in bittrex because they still distributes coins like Ontology.
3899  Economy / Economics / Re: Goverments creating digital currencies - Threat or Opportunity? on: May 09, 2020, 02:07:19 PM
Many won't support it but if the govt creates digital currency we will have tons of opportunities Everyone now prefers to transact digitally which can make our transaction much easier. there's no got to go anywhere else for transactions I can easily use digital currency from wherever i'm, there's no got to convert money People will become more skilled and its popularity will spread everywhere the planet.

Many I believe will support it. Digital currencies will likely be the best for current situation because bills that is passed on from person to person will worse the number of covid19 patients while making transactions with digital currencies will need no contact.

There is no need for people to have more skills since they are just given phones to install wallets. Government can certainly provide phones for each of their people but this will probably be gradual.
3900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What old coins are you still holding? on: May 08, 2020, 03:22:03 PM
NANO, Monero, IOTA

IOTA use to be a top coin, i didn't follow its development but its been one of the most profitable coin. i wanted to buy some of it but i stick to some new ones right now. i also have are few monero that i can't sell because its kept in a file only that i have to recover. upgrading is a pain in the ass as compare to having a mobile wallet really. but this monero i have was here long enough back in 2016. if i still keep it, it will be there til i will forget i have some of it.
