3881  Economy / Speculation / Re: 🛑 Can bitcoin prices bounce back? Opinion Poll With Results 🛑 on: May 05, 2021, 12:32:55 PM
Less than a week after this thread, bitcoin already bounce back from as low as $47k to $54k-$55k today.

So it just shows how bitcoin is resilient it, and for those who doubt bitcoin again and again, please stop, it has proven time and again that it can recover from such crashes and come back strong and will reach another all time high. So let this be a lesson for all of us, not to panic and just wait it out.
And people like us knew this was going to eventually happen, after all we know how strong bitcoin really is and I was never really worried about the drop in price that we saw a week ago, but newbies are very easily influenced by everything that they read in social media which means that as soon as they begin to see all kind of news that indicates the price of bitcoin is going to keep going down they sell their coins, lose their money and then they realize they had been played.
Yes, for us, or for those who have seen the last bull and bear market, we are not going to doubt bitcoin. We are still in the bullish trend, that's why when we had such crashes, the price will bounce back again and again.

But by the time that they realize this it is simply too late and they are left with two very difficult options to take which is to buy at the current price which is higher than the price at which they sold or to stay out of the market hoping that the price goes down, which as we know it is a terrible mistake especially when we are in the middle of a bull market.
It's going to be a learning curve for newbies, but in no time I'm sure that they will really from their mistakes. They are not going to have the experience under their belt, not to panic and sell and it's not going to be difficult for them to just hold and not worry about these kind of flash crash.
3882  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casimero vs Rigondeaux this August 14, 2021 on: May 05, 2021, 10:14:15 AM
I thought that Casimero vs Inoue will happen this year, perhaps we need to wait till the covid-19 pandemic is over next year.
There's no rumor on that, the supposed to be the fight of Inoue and Casimero was already canceled, after that, they have their fights and have won them.
Yes, it was cancelled because of the pandemic, but Casimero did his part, he beat Micah.
On the part of Inoue, he won against Jason Moloney. So I think they will still collide in the future.

As for this fight, good tune up for Casimero but he needs to focus and not looking over Rigo and think about Inoue fight in the future. I think Rigo even at 40 years old is still very dangerous, his straight hand is underrated, but this will be his main weapon and then his superb defense skills. Casimero will be the favorite and i do hope that there will be no upset or Rigo derailings Casimero vs Inoue.
For me this is not just a tune-up, this is a serious fight that could be as serious as Inoue, if Inoue and Rigondeaux will fight, I think the odds will also be close as Rigondeaux is a legit opponent, once a champion and he would always have that heart of a champion.
Tune up fights in the sense that Casimero needed to get busy and fight this year, otherwise he will be rusty. I disagree though, Casimero will be the favorite here. Yes, Rigo is legit, but in his last fight, he won on split decision and he is not getting any younger as well. And Casimero is battle tested, he has traveled around the world to fights and won.

3884  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Canelo Alvarez vs Billy Joe Saunders - May 8 on: May 05, 2021, 02:02:02 AM
@Yamifoud - fans are allowed to watch the fight live as tickets are on sale, but probably in limited capacity.

https://www.stubhub.com/canelo-alvarez-arlington-tickets-5-8-2021/event/104812241/?priceWithFees=true

I read all of Saunders complain, LOL, it's too late, and I'm sure he will be fine by not attending as Canelo Alvarez Goes Solo on Media Day at AT&T Stadium. I don't know if he is playing mind games against Canelo, but I think it won't work.

How can he play mind games when he is a huge underdog in this fight. I would agree with Saunders to play this kind of games if he has the talent to offset Canelo but he hasn't the had the tools.

And probably this will make Canelo more motivated and not to let the fight goes to the judges scorecard as he might go for a knock out here in the later rounds. Bitch move from Saunders and his team and it will totally back fire on them.
3885  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 05, 2021, 01:37:42 AM
- or be more consistent if he will get a max salary which is a security for him.

- but that's how I observe on the players now, they are playing smart for the purpose of making a secure future in the NBA.

If it's about securing the future then I think these players should do their best now while working on being play safe. If they are seen as inconsistent by others teams, the offer maybe less, or trade value will be lessened. Targeting a max contract offer can only be considered if Kuzma's explosiveness is consistent.

I think Kuzma is not thinking about that. He is just really inconsistent and I agree with what others are saying here.
Yes, stats sheets shows it.
He ain't like Draymond Green where most of his moves doesn't record in stats. Boxing out and good defense.
There's just no fire with this kid. Off nights are supposed to be like 1/5 games or 10 games. But with him its like 3/6 games which is not a good percentage.
He's a good shooter and also a big man, creating shots will be an easy task when you have that length advantage.
Rookie years is over, he needs to step up more whenever he consumes minutes.

Yes, there's a lot of hype with Kuzma, remember that he wasn't included in the trading block when they got Lebron James, so the Lakers have a lot of faith in this kid. However, it seems that he can't get over and jump to the next level.

Notice that when he plays and the other team defensive players check his moves, like if he penetrates and gets block, he seems to get out of rhythm already. So it's more of a mental game for this kid, he has the talents no doubt, but if his mind is not in synch, there are days that he can't really or have difficulty adjusting his game.
3886  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin no longer relevant? on: May 04, 2021, 08:34:53 AM
Is Ethereum and other altcoins taking over and replacing Bitcoin?
I'm not sure if you are trolling or what, but bitcoin is the prime mover of crypto and even Ethereum will not over take it. Just because Ethereum is pumping so hard to $3k that it has a chance, and I don't know what do you mean that bitcoin is no longer irrelevant, you can look at the price of it, all time high of $64k and chances that it can break 6 digits this year.

If so, how fast will this happen?
Again, not gonna happen, sorry to burst the bubble for you.
3887  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 04, 2021, 07:40:20 AM
Lakers looking good without Lebron James, leading by 10 against the Nuggets. Anthony Davis is having the best game since he comes back from injury.

I was only able to watch the 4th quarter but I thought they looked pretty bad. Some questionable calls helped them get the victory but I think their bench was the only bright spot in the game. With Jamal Murray out nursing an injury I think this win isn’t as great as it looks. Still, a W without LeBron is exactly what they needed and they got it.

Exactly, they got the W without the Lebron so this could be big morale boost for the team. I wasn't able to watch the game, but I got the Nuggets at handicapped -4.5. I thought that the Nuggets can still one win from the Lakers in home.

Anyway, just part of the game, the road for the Lakers is still very tough, it's now the Clippers next. Kawhi is already playing so this is going to be interesting match up against Lebron.
3888  Economy / Speculation / Re: Another Halving, Another ATH on: May 04, 2021, 02:02:45 AM
64k is nowhere near the top of the current cycle, we’re going to double at least before the start of the next bear market. Alts are riding high now but a big % of profits always go back into bitcoin. Most alts are just used as vehicles to increase bitcoin stashes.

Exactly, altcoins may have good gains in the last month or due and been cutting on bitcoin's dominance. But it doesn't mean that they can sustain that for a long time unless we are in a bear market, which is not. So sooner or later after altcoins dumps again, smart investors are going to shift to bitcoin and another all time high for us this month. Currently, bitcoin went from $58k to $55k now, but there's no need to panic here, just how money are flowing, bitcoin-> altcoin market and then vice versa.
3889  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: eBay to be pursuing crypto payment options for its customers. Thoughts on: May 04, 2021, 01:40:27 AM
I think this is welcoming news indeed, we have been waiting for someone big to accept bitcoin and crypto in general as payment options so what a better news that hearing the biggest global market place in the world. As far as NFT goes, well that's there grass roots isn't it? when they are just in it's infancy, eBay was the place to trade hard items to find.
3890  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Haney vs Linares - May 29 on: May 04, 2021, 01:06:14 AM
if the fight doesn't end early, linares is going to be defeated.

round 10 makes both fighters weak. most probably both their gas tanks are exhausted before they could throw a knocking punch. still not a punching power that we could consider, it's just that they got tired already, body is going to be a lot heavier to pull up by the 10th round. it's good to watch if they both brawl in the beginning rounds.

Most probably as Haney being the younger fighter here has more energy than Linares, but we can never tell what would happen as Linares has been a champion before and he knows how to win. This is the problem with a fighter being undefeated as lots of expectations from him, he can't lose in the eyes of the people, and his opponent is being underestimated.
Yes, that's one advantage of Haney here, and besides, he is used to have fights that extends to 12 rounds so his body his accustomed to this kind of long and boring fights.

On the other hand, Linares is good in the early rounds, just like what he did against Loma, but faded in late round that's why Loma was able to win despite Linares having knock down Loma. He wasn't able to capitalized with that, and on the contrary Loma take every round after that flash knock down of his.

This is Linares chance to get back on popularity, he should take this seriously and when he does that, it would make this fight interesting that could entertain us more. Haney is boring, but if he will face an opponent that could give him a good competition, I think he will be forced to get out of his comfort zone and will show more aggressiveness.
I agree that this is going to be big test for Haney, Linares is very tough opponent and I'm sure he is going to train seriously, but I would say that he is a B level fighter in my book, just like I said, he has a good chance against Loma, but he blew it off.

So I think the pressure is on Haney's shoulder to perform and win against a old but durable Linares. Jorge will definitely make Haney uncomfortable, but I'm leaning that Haney will win this fight.
3891  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Josh Taylor vs Jose Ramirez - May 22 on: May 04, 2021, 12:24:36 AM
I just watched the highlights of Josh Taylor here:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8BDNvn5h8Sk

Doesn't have that one punch knock out, but damn, he is a hard and grind boxer. That body shot to the liver is wicked, and he win most of his fight by doing that + in can really took a lot of air to his opponents. Jose Ramirez is a good body puncher too, but I think Taylor is the more complete fighter between the two. A lot of stakes in this fight as this is a reunification, best of the best.
3892  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Towards a unified currency on: May 03, 2021, 03:51:27 PM
Well bitcoin was touted to be the next unified currency, but nah, I don't think that government around the world are going to used it for trade or financial purposes. I think the dollar still takes its, although I have read that Russia and China are trying to offset this balance.

So for now, I don't see any cryptocurrency that will be act as unified currency in the future. There are a lot of issues, like confirmation speed and others.

^^ I got the Warriors ML @2.36 too. I think Curry will continue with his hot hands, but yeah, I agree this is going to be an interesting game.

New York Knicks is also underdog vs Memphis so I might take that risk. We all know that they are the hottest team, why not? ML @2.33.

3895  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 03, 2021, 11:06:56 AM
^^ Yes I do agree, but they have dig themselves deeper in this playoff, and they are going to face a top seed entering the playoffs. So it will be a different Lakers from last year, now they don't have the luxury of home court, and they are going to fight every game.

Hope James can go back pre-injury, posting good numbers like what we are seeing in Kevin Durant. But he needs more games to adjust and they to win to give themselves some confidence going into the playoffs.
3896  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Top 10 casino sites on: May 03, 2021, 10:50:48 AM
Like what others have said, majority of them are not well-known, perhaps the OP should tell us where he get this websites in the first place.

As far as sportbookies goes, @DarkStar_ Overview of Bitcoin Accepting Sportsbooks (with margin/house edge comparisons). It might not be updated though, but the lists still holds true for me.
3897  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: May 01, 2021, 03:35:24 AM
Bad luck, ouch!!!

Imagine leading 30 points and you think you already won as San Antonio is the underdog. Starting to relax but when you come back and check the score, it went into overtime and then Boston Celtics miraculous made a massive comeback and even win the game.  Sad

I think this is the biggest comeback this season.
3898  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2021 NBA Season on: May 01, 2021, 03:08:07 AM
Anyone seen the massive comeback by the Boston Celtics?

They are down 30 points but they slowly eat out that big lead force an OT and beat the San Antonio Spurs by 3 points.

Lebron James is back, but of course with limited minutes, so far he scored 1 point in 7 minutes. But they are down 13 points in the first quarter. Let's see if he will still play in the 2nd quarter, this might be a good morale booster for the team. Still early, lots of things can happen in the game.
3899  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase Adds PayPal As Payment Option For U.S. Users on: April 30, 2021, 10:45:34 AM
Nah, I don't think this is a bullish sign, smart investors know what is noise behind this and I doubt that they will used Paypal. Although this could be an eye opener for Paypal users, but not for serious and smart bitcoiners. They would rather used other methods, in any case for those who wanted to try crypto then maybe they will dab their hands into this options.
3900  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Price prediction 2021 on: April 30, 2021, 09:25:06 AM
Lol, the only thing worth seeing in that prediction is bitcoin, 6 digits or more in the future is possible.

For the rest, I doubt it, we all know that altcoin market is very volatile and investors are shifting or moving funds around. Even Ethereum is highly doubtful with that x10 this year, and so is DOT or even BNB. So I will take this prediction with a grain of salt to be honest.
