Nice taking things out of context again PuertoLibre, you really are a skilled liar.  The 4 - 6 weeks comment was for ALL preorders to be shipped and done.  And I didn't even say it!  It's like, literally in the text you screen captured and you can't even read it. Idiot.

Can you stop replying to that guy please?
It would make my ignore on him more effective.
kthnx.

I admit, I cannot:

Get serious sums of cash and keep people separated from it for months on end. No, perhaps for a half year or more.

To do that it takes serious skill that I cannot muster. I am inferior to you my king of lies. (just kidding)

I am thinking of converting into an Inaba. I might just have to bump heads or something so I can become a shill. I will even say it in thee most sarcastic ways humanly possible.

<Cough Cough>

----------------

I have known Inaba for all of 3 months. I have never found that man to lie. He is a saint. His customers are just terrible at reading! You see, they confuse easily.

Surely this man has been more forthcoming than any Vendor!

I will now change my avatar to an BFL one. For I loathe those "Avalon" guys who take the glory and wind out of Inabas sails. How dare they even bother to ship ahead of schedule? People like that should know that none can be first to market except for BFL.

Nay, they are all scammers! They are going to rob you blind. Get your refunds immediately.
3883  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: bASIC not shipping / change of owership / refunds etc. on: January 13, 2013, 04:15:50 AM
Uh, just be careful not to state exactly what the mining rig is. Be vague....otherwise you might lose the dispute from the get go.

CC companies do not like machines that produce BTC or alternate currencies.
3884  Bitcoin / Hardware / [Archive] BFL trolling museum on: January 13, 2013, 04:02:38 AM
Avalon said they didn't want long queues for exactly this reason.

End of the month (estimation only) to begin shipping = February 2013.

Now add 4 to 6 weeks....and you get Mid-March to April 2013 to complete pre-orders.

If Josh said it, it must be true?

P.S. For those living under a rock, we are currently approaching Mid-January
3885  Bitcoin / Hardware / [Archive] BFL trolling museum on: January 13, 2013, 03:44:43 AM
A month for ship 300 units?Huh How many time aims to take BFL to ship his thousands of units? ...
It is just his bad math at work.

The next wise question BFL customers should ask is did the chips make the 60GH/s at 1 watt per GH/s. Right now they should be going through packaging. Which is where they test the chips to some degree. The performance stats should be sent to them by now.

The last question a wise customer should ask is:

If you compensated us for a 1.5 month delay with 20 extra GH/s. Does this mean we will get an extra 20GH/s speed boost for the extra 1.5 month delay on top of the first?

Is my rig gonna be an 80GH/s system? Wink
3886  Bitcoin / Hardware / [Archive] BFL trolling museum on: January 13, 2013, 03:28:43 AM
You heard it here first:

February 2013 is the next extension of the delay.
3887  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: bASIC not shipping till end of March on: January 13, 2013, 03:22:01 AM
Wow.  I count myself lucky to have escaped with a refund, paying only the currency depreciation.

https://www.btcfpga.com/forum/index.php?topic=1041.msg3093
That is what unfortunately happens when a customers waits until the second round of refunds. It is risky.

----------------------

Beyond that, I would like to say that if Tom runs off, we have lost a good man in the BTC world.
3888  Bitcoin / Hardware / [Archive] BFL trolling museum on: January 13, 2013, 03:14:59 AM
Josh has so much time on his hands that he has the time to respond to many of the trolls on this forum.

Had he been busy enough with actual R&D of ASIC chips he would not have enough time to exchange insults with any trolls on this forum.

I didn't know he did actual ASIC R&D. Can source that for me please?
He's an outdoors man, so he lays down the silicon in his waffle iron.

R&D (TOP SECRET)

Test #442

It's done. (Full Custom)

3889  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: bASIC not shipping till end of March on: January 13, 2013, 03:07:56 AM
So let me get this straight: the only reason people were getting BTC refunds was because Dave and Lukas were urging Tom to. Then Tom is supposed to provide crucial information about the ASICs, and instead he packs up and leaves town. Their bank account does not have enough funds to process CC refunds because Tom was in charge of that, too. Now, we have no idea where Tom is, we don't know if people are even going to be getting refunds (CC or BTC), the BTCFPGA forum is still under lockdown, and we have absolutely zero information about the status of the bASIC's development. And all of this is directly from the 2 remaining bASIC team members. Talk about a shit storm!
BFL is next I would bet.

Another announcement of delays will fall on deaf ears.
3890  Bitcoin / Hardware / [Archive] BFL trolling museum on: January 12, 2013, 03:19:10 PM
None of the mining FPGA vendors "developed" their own FPGAs. They all designed boards, picked an FPGA and developed a bitstream. BFL designed boards, picked an FPGA and developed a bitstream.

How exactly does using recycled FPGAs make it a "fraud"?

You may be confusing it with the practice of sanding off a chip and printing a different and wrong label on it in order to falsely sell it as a different or new chip, similar to taking a 1GB sd card but labelling it as 16GB for sale. You're effectively complaining about (the equivalent of) an android phone, sold as having 16GB capacity, having a real 16GB card inside it, but with the label sanded off so that you can't see that it's a Sandisk, not a Kingston, even though the brand of the card was never mentioned in the phone specs. Oh noes! Fraud!

If the BFL single was called "xc6slx150 computation board" and had a chip with xc6slx150 printed on it (but was the Altera chip), then yes, that would be fraud.

You are missing the part where their advertised specification and released product was different. this has nothing to do with what chip they used. They did not meet their initial advertised speed of power consumption, which is why many, including knowledgeable people comment it on being a scam or a fraud initially.

I have no doubt BFL will eventually ship, although I highly doubt they will meet their 1W per 1GH/s rate though. History will repeat themselves, people just don't learn. Time will tell.
Speaking of which, are you guys meeting your targets?

Did the chip packer confirm things are looking good on your end? (Within spec)
3891  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: bASIC not shipping till end of March on: January 12, 2013, 01:10:58 PM
That, is none of your business.

You conveyed the asset / funds to them. After that it is under their control to do with as they wish.
It sort of is. If they're keeping everyone's money as bitcoins and the value of bitcoins goes down, they won't have the money to give everyone who demands a refund the full USD amount they're owed. It'd be as though they were taking everyone's pre-order funds, using them to gamble that Bitcoin prices will go up or stay the same, and then pocketing the winnings whilst their customers are the ones whose money is at risk.

Last I checked refunds are not free.

Wire transfers cost money half of the time. Especially overseas.

Paypal would be unlikely to tolerate large numbers of refunds even on a business account. They are probably issuing cash to various accounts by means of various loop holes.

Transferring money from one domestic bank to another is probably the cheapest way to go about it.

Sure, if you want me to start on the prosecution's work for free I'll be happy to oblige. Public interest and all that. To wit, your lies:
...

+1 Would love to hear Josh's rebuttal, if he has one to each and every point he claimed was false and there was now proof.

Josh will never reply to this! He is afraid of facts like the devil is afraid of holy water.

He will ignore MPOE-PRs post and keep on trolling.

Josh is a coward.
He obviously calls everyone liars even when they aren't.

The truth is....he can't handle the truth.

I recall he has stated that he comes on here "to defend" against "the lies" and protect the gullible. (or something like that?)

IMO, it seems he goes after the gullible and attacks people when they actually do say something factual which is brutally inconvenient. I also saw him (Inaba/Josh) claim that he comes to bitcointalk when their sales go down.

Unless there are alot of gullible folks out there who actually think he is being honest half the time....well...there is a sucker for every minute I guess.

Here we have supposedly BFL_Josh, Being a total asshole at the CES
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=135973.0

That guy snuck into CES with fake identification for the purpose of harassing Josh/BFL. TWICE. I would be pretty pissed off if I were in Josh's shoes. The "total asshole" is the guy who made the video.
Heh I was amused by that video also Smiley
Josh basically told him to get lost and that was it.

Certainly avoided a situation that I expect could have been much worse (by the description of the previous day)

I do wonder which orifice people have pulled $25million out of though ...
If it is true, then yep looks like difficulty is gonna go up massively coz at a (very) rough estimate $25m worth of $1200 60GH/s is 1446TH/a
Difficulty is currently ~3million, with 1500TH/s it will be ~210million
By the way, have you received any notice that you will be flying in to see their production of the ASIC devices?

Is this trip no longer necessary or are you still waiting to hear from them?
3895  Bitcoin / Hardware / [Archive] BFL trolling museum on: January 12, 2013, 02:03:32 AM
@puerto libre:

You forgot some points

They ask for "upgrade" preorder customers to send them their FPGA or money.
The happy beliebers do as asked (like this http://youtu.be/AOOs8MaR1YM)
They disappear ....
Or, you could say it is a second round of funding in disguise. (pure speculation though)

Serious question:

What's the actual resale value of that FPGA chip in a Single or a mini rig?

A spartan is between 75 to 100$ (I guessed here; seeing Toms offer )

So could it be that they intend to sell these FPGAs for making additional income?

BFL can turn it into extra revenue to resell the FPGA miners back to the community as litecoin miner or other alternate currency.

Or they could sell it to the folding @ home crowd and make a pretty penny.

If Avalon ships on the 19th, they will ship before us. If they are delayed at all, probably not.

I have an update package for everyone that I'm collating and as soon as I get enough time to sit down and make a proper post.

https://forums.butterflylabs.com/bfl-forum-miscellaneous/662-btc-avalon-race-glory-2.html#post9986

Drama scenario:

BFL is siting on customer money with delayed ASIC chips. Now on their third or fourth delay.
BFL's competitor takes a tail spin and sells out...and can't refund orders fast enough.
BFL's competitor locks down their forum.
BFL begins to ask their own customers to reconsider refunding their orders in the wake of the panic of their competitor. Confidence is at an all time low.

Come mid-January:
BFL announces yet another delay. Promises starting the deliveries by the end of the month.
BFL customers assume they are pulling a bASIC scene on them.
BFL customers have the final straw and begin the next (and possibly final) wave of cancellations.

Avalon ships on time. (The turtle has now beat the hare to the finish line)

The BFL customer reps having nothing to say for themselves other than it will be out "soon".
They try to charm their customers by posting useless developments that in the end don't mean anything.
BFL customers ask for more than they paid, BFL refuses (already have multiple times).
Bad sentiments grow as their own customers see others getting their orders and start hashing like crazy.
The bad sentiments and anger grow as pictures of Avalon units are posted and the difficulty increases.
The post-wave cancellations come and BFL probably will do the same as bASIC.

The final straw that broke the camels back:

Avalon opens the second batch now accepting orders by the thousands. Taking in both bASIC and BFL customers from either company.

I am pretty sure he just wrote something laced with stereotypes just above me. Glad I cannot see it anymore.

I'm not convinced that his original post was ever "laced with stereotypes". It seems more like seeing what you expect to see. Since you already judged him as evil long ago, if a post of his includes the word china, it must be racist, right?
You are a BFL apologist and practically the only one who did agree with him.

Moving on beyond that, you'd changed your signature and profile since then. I don't need to say much more.

The lovely anti-semite "joke" he tried to tell me at the end of our encounter was also classy.  I don't know if he thought I was Jewish or what?

No, he thought you were dumb. Which you are.

He in fact is Jewish. Hence he can't make anti-semite jokes. Only funny jokes. Grin
Oh boy, the same guy who made the piracy issue with at least one subset of Asians and the other crack [to me] about moping floors (just because I was of Hispanic descent?)

Cultural sensitivity? He's never heard of it apparently.
What?
Being Spanish means you should mop floors?
Wow PuertoLibre, I think every Spanish person on the forum should now hate you for that racist comment ...
I am not the one who made it. Josh did.

He knew I was hispanic long before these posts. Don't believe that BS or his lying nature.

I seriously hope you folks are not that gullible.
